This is the kind of quality content I came here for.

  2. I would like to point out that Sheep is actually a beetle. Apart from that I believe we had a member known as "the goat" and Kurotsune who, as the name suggests, is a fox. Also Azery is a duck and Cepheus a bunny, considering his love for Eevee and its evolutions.
  3. Do we have any idea about how many characters will be included? Which types have no representative so far? As for Bug type, do you think something like Accelgor or Scizor would be implemented?
  4. I was watching a TV quiz show and the following question appears "what colour is the mineral commonly known as Amethyst". And here I am, trying to remember if she's a blonde or a redhead.

  6. @Dash copying your league is no reason to lock a thread, no matter how upset you feel. You are essentially using your title to shut down competitors. There are more effective ways to deal with such matters. The edit suggests you've already been told. @Ame_Rosa do not copy. Create something on your own. Before you announce a league, make sure you have one. If you want people to join you, do not be one of the many copies of the original or the one currently most popular. Instead provide them something new, with different rules, format or general system. Naturally some common points cannot be avoided, but even declaring similarities should be avoided. In the end of the day, if you wish to organize another version of an existing league, if you have any respect for their work, do it when it is over and with their permission.
  7. I know I'm asking quite a bit, but Toxicroak and Raticate need some love in the form of a mega evolution...

      zimvader42

Well I can agree on toxicroak, and I could on raticate too, but doesn't its most famous non-troll set include a guts flame orb facade? a mega raticate would have to drastically change the ability to make it useful. Maybe sheer force, or something unique? I like guts but without flame orb it is useless.

The mega could get Tough Claws or Strong Jaw. it learns a lot of biting moves and with proper buffs to Atk and Spe it can become a menace very quickly.

  8. @Azery I was actually expecting a duck-morphus dragon type pokemon @Tomas, you do speak of a modus operandi. Mrs Q is not the only hitman around there. There are quite some candidates to fill in positions, but it's better to wait and gather more evidence than pop up and present accusations or theories. Well, even when someone does, they are supposed to fill in the blanks with adequate arguments based on things you find here and there. Given the game is still in its early stages and most stuff gets changed until it enters an episode, not much of any announcement can be taken for granted, or really seriously even if they are of some significance. Tomas here expects people to try and find out things from small passages. They do provide information, but from the creator's point of view, they will always reveal too much. Here they want you to believe Fennekin (forgot the actual name, ok remembered but this came out funny) is part of the evil group. This is hinted elsewhere too. However this makes it way too obvious and a big part of the fanbase will be disappointed if something like this is verified. At the same time, with only 1 episode behind us, we do not have enough info concerning the existence of other corporations. So Fennekin may be involved in underground illegal activites, something that would fit well with Catherines behaviour as a spoiled child (no offense meant), but being part of the classic evil team does not make the cut. So, we'll have something closer to Rocket than Magma. I can live with this, as long as you do not cut and sell Platypus tails. For speculation's sake, the prof. can be the 4th person given her influence on the region. Every successful criminal organization aims to become successful not only in the criminal world, but also appear legitimate to the state. So they have 'fronts' they use. One successful front is the pokemon league. Brigit is quite a Looker
  9. While Terra would benefit most from this field, Sapphira is the mother of dragons in dis gaem. Naturally every field is used once in every gym, so not both gym battles will be with is. The way I believe this will continue is that we are going to battle Hardy, something occurs, the gym gets destroyed and we have to battle some Meteor grunts or one of our plentiful adversaries. Then we can go back to fighting Hardy in a cave. This of course means that we'll have to fight Sapphira first, and it also means we're going off topic. Dragonite is going to be hell, as mentioned by others, but the mega cannot possibly be a non-dragon type, so no Zard, no Sceptile, no super sayan. We do not really have many dragons and since everyone has already noticed Fairy does not get demoted, why not another M-Altaria? The field is hard, and you should feel... nevermind.
  10. It is a total of 5h so you can watch it all in 1 day if you're interested. I knew there was a game but never played it. As far as I know, there's going to be a 3rd game that will coincidentally be the 2nd season of the anime.
  11. Hello freshmen, this is your principal speaking. Yesterday I began and finished this wonderful anime called DanganRonpa. The plot is well-made, the characters believable, and some times you get emotionally attached to some of them, their motives, their passion for certain things, and some of the interactions between them resemble a real life situation, as opposed to the majority of anime dialogue. As you can tell, the main focus of the anime is not some clash of superpowers or an adventure chasing dreams. It is about humans, and how they hate, how they love, how they achieve what their mind and heart wish, and how they treat their peers. Oh, and there's also an evil bear... Now, the story revolves around 15 high school students who are trapped in their new high school, and the only way to "graduate" is to kill someone and get away with it. Of course that is only one part of the "game" they are supposed to play. I won't say more not to spoil anyone who has not seen it yet. This topic was created to discuss about the characters of the show, get more info from those who have played the game, and prepare ourselves for what's coming in mid 2016 when the 2nd season of the anime airs, after such a long time. Before we move on to the new things, we should get to the heart of the original, and even learn something from it. I mean, it's humans like us after all, and their thinking process is no different to ours. Just like Reborn, you can check out if you want, but you can never leave...

I'm just trying to give a in game explination

Other then that it would just brake the game and take away the point of gender less pokemon and would make genders pointless outside of breeding

    3. starkidcosmo

      starkidcosmo

like hukuna said, it wouldn't particularly break the game? and breeding was the only real point for gender anyways, besides divergent evolutions and the occasional cool dimorphism stuff.

  13. That's nice. Can't wait. The time of release is after my exam period too, so I'll enjoy it even more. I don't suppose you'll be giving out info on the rest of the pokemon we will encounter, but if you could choose one of these options, which would it be? I'll make them general so you won't have regrets answering. What types will dominate the area of Ep.2? a) Fire, Ground, Flying, Water, Grass, Bug, c) Electric, Steel, Fighting, d) Ice, Dark, Ghost e) Psychic, Fairy, Normal f) Poison, Rock, Dragon
  14. Ok, I never thought I'd be having problems facing Celebi. These things are everywhere now in the 1500s. Not to mention that it messes up with my new team like no other mon.

  15. But I thought a lass said there's no evil team in this region!! Also, is there a possibility we will see my and Jerry's mons this episode? If my info is correct, they will appear in Ep.3-4.
  16. Choose the name "Littlefinger" and what do you know, the role I got was Framer.

  17. What is your favorite Se7en starter? The option to say "all of them" is not permitted.
  18. Well, the usage of Zard, T-Tar and Excadrill is seen so much these days, it's becoming a nuisance. Ok Chase, I'd pinpoint the difficulty in using SolarBeam with Serperior but I believe this issue was pretty much covered. Actually the only way to deal with it and add more rounds of sun is to include a Ninetails, but that will mess up your game pretty badly. So 3 turns is all you have max, at least the first time, when nobody expects it. Then you have 2 or 1 turn to use it, which will be hard since you will come across strategies that include Protect, Substitute and Fake out quite often. So, as Tomas said, time is your main issue. What you can do to alter this however is to use SolarBeam as a threat that you do not really need to use. Use it as a bait, to make your opponent go all defensive and try to avoid it, while you switch to one of your trappers. This will work with psychic or steel types, but not all pokemon that can damage Serperior and Zard. It will not work with setup sweepers and opposing wallbreakers that can essentially play your own game against you. (ie bait you to bring the trappers and use a Keldeo or Talonflame or even Tornadus-I). What I suggest is to drop the trapping concept, switch Dugtrio for Hippo, and Bisharp/Scizor for Rotom-W. They can form a more defensive core for you, while keeping momentum so you can bring the Zard/Serp core back into the game without fear of opposing attacks, since they both cannot fend off too many hits. Then use the Lati sister to remove hazards and even use H-wish if you like. Getting out of the SolarBeam concept... What I usually do for Sepr in HO teams is give it Glare, that can paralyze even ground pokemon, which I find quite helpful to get rid of the likes of Excadrill, Hippowdon, Landorus and Gliscor, mostly on the switch or by staying in when they expect you to switch and try to set up on your switch. This strategy also works for other setup sweepers and usually not to many will stay in on Serp when it's on the field, because, as you said, it is a cookie-clicker pokemon that focuses on setup attacks without losing momentum.
  19. No it wasn't hard at all answering 50 questions in 1h. It was the easiest thing I've ever done! No, I saw no difficulty in the multiple choices having no co-relation to each other, yet being asked which one was correct or which one was wrong. I mean, who had a hard time with that? Also, who has time to check their answers again, right? Yeah, especially since the material was soooo little.

No matter how high you raise your eyebrow, I am still furious about this exam style. First of all I am used to answering questions in detail, the answers here had no connection to each other, and some were ambiguous.

  20. I know, and it makes more sense for it to be faster than... kinda bulkier, I just thought that for a lower tier like UU or NU a scarfed Leavanny with a base 92 is still going to outspeed most of the tier, plus I could hear Hukuna's voice speaking to my subconscious and asking me "are you putting speed again?" so I refrained. But yes, we'll go for speed, as it gives Leavanny more options, and the ability to abuse LO. I would add U-turn too but the whole concept of ninjas made S-neak a priority.
  21. Speed Boost Slaking My pokemon of choice is Leavanny. 1. Change the ability to Adaptability. Essentially Leavanny is a bug that was trying to meld in with its suroundings in order to avoid predators. Instead of leeching off of the plants it lives on and with (like other bugs do) this one evolved into a part-Grass type, meaning it survived while being in harmony with its environment. In few words, it adapted in a benign way. One could still argue that being part-Bug means it can still harm plants, but I'd argue that evolution usually keeps all beneficial traits and in our case keeping the bug typing was for the best, since it now can be one of the few pokemon that can boast a X4 ground resistence. Our ability of choice is no other than Adaptability. In this way it also makes a yin-yang with Beedrill, another Bug type that changed (and even gained a mega evolution) by being forced to adapt in its environment. Beedrill did it against the enviornment, Leavanny along with it. 2. As you can see, Leavanny's movepool has many special moves but no base stats to abuse them. This is yet another indicator of evolution and how it has changed our pokemon in more ways than one, turning it from a small powerless special attacker into the ninja of the jungle, hiding in the wild and abusing its speed to slice down its opponents without them even seeing it coming. Even if the attacking core changed, the purpose remained the same: attack from the shadows and cause damage to your opponent bit by bit. The proposed move is Shadow Sneak, since it shows the theme we are trying to build for this pokemon. From a competitive standpoint, it also gives Leavanny a method of attacking faster attackers with priority and slashing them down. Sure it's not its cup of tea, but it will do anything to survive. 3. However, Leavanny does not have enough tools for proper survival, at least not yet. Leavanny has some Atk and Spe that it can use to its benefit and actually be very confident in dealing damage to every type of opponent. Speedy ones are usually not so tough, so it can deal lots of damage with few hits, while the more tanky lack speed, and Leavanny has more than enough. What it does not have (and needs) to prove its worth is enough HP. Alright, no amount of health bars is enough unless you are Blissey. However, a +10 boost in HP is enough to help Leavanny survive a couple more hits. Given how many weaknesses its typing has, the few more hits it will tank will make a difference and have the potential to change the course of a fight. Recapitulating, we took a mediocre pokemon, that is listed very low according to smogon and the competitive scene in general, but is one of the best new gen designs, has a theme (compared to other pokemon) and a great amount of potential. What we did was work on its theme, point out which parts of the mythos needed tinkering, and came up with an improved version of the pokemon that makes it more feared in combat. It is now a proud plant-ninja that can and will bring its foes to their knees. back me up here Etesian
