Hey I've only played where love lies so far I downloaded it by accident when trying to download rejuvenation and decided to play it anyway. Kenneth's story isn't the same as mine but his loss of loved ones reminds me of someone I lost. I just want to know is ther eat afterlife in rejuvenation does he atleast get to be in peace with his family in the afterlife if nothing else

I have just replayed the blacksteep prison part, if the aim is to make you feel helpless. Then i guess they succeeded.

But the previous version felt more powerful, compared to the new version, the previous iteration of this chapter felt better.

It gave me a reason to hate Madame X, it gave a reason to not stay down and continue on. The Mawile felt like a last present from your mom, not an after thought.

It may be the music, not sure. But i remember searching for the song as soon the chapter ended. Is Feeling - Hopeful btw.

When i played that part i cried. Now it felt more empty, like doing the process on automatic, the mawile felt more like "here a new pokemon" Now, that emptiness is a valid thing to make feel the player if that is the aim. Just saying that i prefered the previous version.

Whether explicitly or implicitly and i assume the remainder will be answered either in renegade whrn i watch someone cover it or in v15

Yeah well have fun with renegade, there are just more questions all around. What's up with Zed and Lorna, what is Variya now and why she inserted Storm-9 as a virus inside the... simulation i guess? The entire Zenos question is up in the air now as well. What's up with those 2 superpowered criminals who just randomly entered the stage for no reason. 

Madame X reveal was, in my opinion, entirely dogshit and the worst part of the entire 10+ years of Rejuvenation. Disgustingly terrible. Unimaginably terrible decision about her. Both of them. 

Also there are a lot of early story points that are kinda just up in the air for now, like the entire prophecy thing which iirc still irrelevant, and considering we are by now going into the whole Karma-Kaine conflict and even above those Zed-Lorna-Variya issue and potentially even higher with Zenos, i don't see where this would even come into play. Maybe it was changed again, will see. 

After i finish NG++ run i plan to write something more comprehensive i guess, been 3 years since i played the game fully.

Heck i guessed 60% of her shit just misplaced motive rant(didnt guess she was originally from the 3rd layer, just thkught she was from the OG ver of the world as maria and world shatterer was someone whos controlling madame x maria) and identity which yea the identity was shit yes but again i accept as a narrative tool

 

But yea i got pretty close i would say 

Just yea kinda accepted madame x when jan outright said no one in the fandom got madame x identity despite everyone in the fandom guessing everyone under the sun

And zed and lorna deal IS explained in renegade v14 itself

When u play as lorna u can just read books about this

They're both spawned into existence when variya made karma so she adopted them as kids

Zed is the right eye and lorna is the left eye

They're both needed 

Zed is the good side and lorna is the bad side meant to be in balance and rule together as karma but zeds an a hole that excludes her

 

 

U can probably piece together the remaining half of your questions about storm nym from there

 

 

Variya deal is probably gonna be explained in v15 and shes gonna be revealed to be some true neutral festherine from umineko bs character

And karma remade this world as a playground for their fight

 

The prophecy IS the original setting

Its the original plotline of the world kaina did during her time with the original interceptor that reset and nuked thr world which lead to M2 and the ruined timeline

Just got done with both Renegade and Paragon and holy fucking crap what a ride. Best pokemon game ever and one of my all time favorite for sure.

 

I find myself most fascinated by our playable character being their own person and RenegadeMC giving themselves a name (that might also be Paragon's considering how Melia didn't like them taking it) and how they seem to hate this whole thing as much as everyone else is. They didn't want to do renegade and Melia forced their hand. There were some hints prior to that they weren't as malicious as they appeared. I counted three moments in V14 myself. Them showing concern over Mosley, Clo and Ver noting that rather than hatred it was bottomless sadness that inhabited them and it's why they chose to heal the Interceptor, and finally taking offense to Vitus dissing Amber.

 

It recontextualize why they are so short with people too. This whole affair is likely miserable for them and they just want for it to end as soon as possible.

 

I'm also happy that I wasn't that far off with a previous theory of mine, that both MC were the same and that Melia had created the Renegade world through the Zeight to get something in it they couldn't in paragon.

 

I was wrong about the MC but considering Renegade MC is a copy of Paragon MC I still wasn't that far off. I feel super sorry for Zenos, if they are a copy it's likely they hold memories of Paragon MC and thus the emotional connection to their friends. And they were forced to inflict pain beyond compare to those friends. No wonder they were so furious with M2, girl's counterpart fucked them over so bad. Add the emotional devastation of being a copy that Paragon Melia seem to find undeserving of compassion and you get that.

 

The wait for V15 will be long but for now, thank you Jan and co, I'm full now.

Like its not just the fact she's creating a whole other timeline that parallel and farming it 

 

Shes forcing us to genocide farm it

As if doing it will get us something 

But also keeps railroading the timeline to follow a similar enough path for the plot 

 

What do we NEED excatly 

That is so valuable

 

That plus NG+ stuff

Huh just realise 2 minor mystery from the pre act 2 aren't really solved

 

Who started the golden wood fire since crescent herself stated she didn't start the fire and was saved by it, she only went to kill vitus

 

 

And how did marianette and vitus obtain a gym badge

We saw the full sequence of event and I dont think there's any point in time where vitus could have gotten his hand on a league certified badge to mess with

Especially since it transform to the enigmatic key?

The Red Chain at least seemingly could only be created through the Renegade path. So there was at least that.

 

It's also noted that Zenos kept M2 alive because they needed her Archetype, and the way it's talked about, there is something special about it so Melia could be after it. And it's only through Renegade that it could become what she needed.

 

Btw does anyone know if the credit song Up in flames is an original song or if it's taken from somewhere else? Cause it's an absolute banger and I want to find the original if possible.

I still have reasons to believe Kaina is Melia, just very far into the future and here's my reasoning...

1- Kaina's signature pokemon is a Togekiss, corrupted by Karma.
2- Kaina (as Madame X) knew Melanie was Melia from another timeline and warned Melia not to let Melanie touch her to avoid overlapping.
3- Kaina saved Kanon in past Aevium (back when Kanon died and he mentioned a masked woman reversed time for him), 
we had no good reason for why "Madame X" had done this but being Melia actually makes sense here.
4- There's other stuff like Melia's blades resembling Madame X's.

I believe "Kaina" might be the name she got when she was corrupted, just like Zenos with the protagonist.

But the biggest clue that we've had for a long time is the Melia corrupted name and we just had no idea what it meant, 
it has showed up more than once and now I think it's supposed to mean "Melia Kaina Theolia".

If this is correct the "Madame X reveal" was actually a really smart fake out on their part 
because a lot of people were already expecting Madame X to be Melia but everyone disregarded that theory after this update.

I've been thinking about Zenos identity for a while and hear me out.

What if Zenos is Vitus and Nymiera's dead son. We know their son was a prince, since they were king and queen, and a knight, as stated in the story told to us by Nymiera. And Zenos is wearing both a knight's armor and a crown.

Also his hair color is somewhat similar to Nymiera's I guess, and his name starts with Z which comes after X (Xernias) and Y (Yveltal) but these last two reasons might be a stretch.

 

We also know Melia brought Zenos into this world (?) for some reason we have yet to uncover and guess who used the Den of souls in the Paragon route to bring back a soul we never got to know whose it was? Melia. I believe she might have put Zenos soul in our body, when though? I'm not sure.
