-Level 2: Can target people and objects other than Kusuke.

(Trick) Tempofrag: Deal 2d20+Syn damage split up among as many targets as the user wishes, which must include themselves.   Once Per Encounter Cooldown.

Satomi strikes at one of the Chaos Serpents with lightning speed dealing only 3 damage as the blow mostly glances off.

Baratus begins charging something.

Jun slashes twice at a Reiver with their plasma sword, it twists and writhes before burning away in agony(24+32+16)!

Four of the Brown Chaos Serpents begin moving erratically and become much more difficult to hit.

Three of them spit large green globs of acid at Satomi, Jun, and Parias dealing 7, 10, and 5 damage respectively.

Kusuke stabs at a minorly wounded Chaos Serpent for 8 damage.

Lucille summons a Sanctuary!  Those within cannot attack or be attacked, entering and exiting are actions.

The wounded Chaos Serpent and two others more erratically, becoming more difficult to hit.

The four other Serpents spit acid at Lucille, Mirri, Harry, and Baratus dealing 8, 2, 9, and 8 damage respectively.

Kusuke manages to stab the wounded Chaos Serpent despite its attempts to flee, dealing 13 damage and killing it.

Daedolon charges something.

Piglet gets a “Shitty Crossbow” from Satomi.

Lucille attempts to bind one of the Chaos Serpents(13vs19), at first it resists with far more will than it has any right to, before suddenly giving in.

Lucille gains control of one of the unwounded Chaos Serpents, this costs her 4 bonds.

Baratus reaches into his pouch and pulls out a Krater of Might, he uses it on Daedolon clearing him of all negative effects and granting +3 Int until the end of the encounter.

Union calls out to the monsters(12vs18) to bid that they stop fighting.  The Reivers and Chaos Serpents seem to completely ignore her though, and while several of the Ettins take pause they are quickly pushed forward by their brethren.

Jun activates their A.G,I.L.E system and gains 10 Dex for two rounds.

Parias use an Icon of the Defender on Baratus granting them 5 Res until the end of the encounter.

Arminius Inspires Harry to stab some fuckers increasing his Str by 5 for two turns.

The three remaining Reivers screech violently and send blasts of flaming spirit at Soma, Kusuke, and Arminius dealing 12 damage to each.

Soma creates a cloud of shrapnel and death that tears through the enemies, dealing 10 damage to each of the Reivers, one of the Chaos Serpents manages to dodge it while the other four fail to avoid it in any meaningful way and take 11 damage each, the Ettins on the other hand almost fail to acknowledge the various debris sticking into them, they only take 5 damage.

Kusuke stabs at another Chaos Serpent but it pulls out of the way at the last second dodging the attack.

Harry stabs at one of the Reivers dealing 18 damage and turning it into another cloud of smoke and gains 4 Hp due to regen.

Mirri meditates on her belt of broken lightsabers from within Lucille’s sanctuary, gaining 6 Syn for the next three rounds.

Two Ettins(each) attack Piglet, Union, Calvera, and Daedolon dealing 8+10, 14+10, 10+12, and 0+5 damage respectively.

Calvera Flares Up and enters Solar Form.

Five Ettins move in front of the Chaos Serpents, and Two in front of the remaining Reivers, making it more difficult to hit them.

Baratus charges something.

Kusuke stabs at the Chaos Serpent again, this time with far greater success as he manages to deal 9 damage.

Harry strikes again, attacking a Reiver for 10 damage destroying it on the spot, and dealing 4 damage to the Ettin guarding it.

Calvera use Solar Flare dealing 13 damage to the Chaos Serpents, instantly vaporizes the last Reiver, kills the three heavily wounded Ettins, deals 49 damage to the five Ettins guarding the Chaos Serpents, and 29 damage to the remaining Ettins.

The Gravemarkers flare up.

More creature walk up the path and join the battle, 5 of the two headed Ettin beasts, and 5 things that resemble centaurs wielding large shields and sword.  Their shields glow blue.

"Oh boy. Acid's always fun." Well, it seemed like time was up. People were wounded enough to warrant attention now, so Harry snatched out his medic's pack, and began the dash through the team to get to the aid of those who needed it.

Harry uses Slap on a Bandaid and Call it enough on Kusuke, Calvera, Piglet, Soma, Arminius, and Jun (in that order as init turns come up. Got 4 extra turns from Kusuke) . Heals by 1d4+13, and heals Harry by half the amount he healed.

Spoiler

Moves: Equal to your Dex, minus the average Dex of this Encounter.  Minimum 2.

Essence: 1

Constitution: 10

Dexterity: 1

Intelligence:  8 (x1.25)->10 (+3 on wounded)

Resistance:  3 (+5)

Synergy: 1

Perks:

Prodigy: Harry's INT is treated as boosted by 25%.

Advanced Biotechnology: Harry regains 10% MHP per turn.

Applied Knowledge: When Harry tends to someone else's wounds, he regains half the HP he healed for them.

Flaw:

Combat Surgeon's a dangerous job: For one round after Harry heals an ally, he will be hit by a copy of the first attack made against the ally that he healed. If he used a multiheal, he simply takes a copy of the first three attacks made against the subjects of the multiheal.

Slots: 6

Slap on Bandaid and call it good enough: Heals one target by 1d4+INT

Disinfect: Remove all statuses from a chosen target. 2 turn cooldown.

(Consumable) Fundamental Misunderstanding of Xenobiology: This item does not take up a slot, and is forcibly equipped. while equipped. next useage of a Healing action instead deals damage when used on a non-human. This item is consumed when activated.

Level 2 (merit): This armor no longer has a penalty.

Carbide Survival Tool: Basically a Bowie knife with a decent number of other small tools stored in the handle. Deals 2d6+STR damage, with an INT*2% chance to crit for double damage.

D'Arnet's Modern Military Medical Procedures Digital: Whenever Harry is faced with a problem he is having difficulty with, he consults this eleven thousand page book on his compad, where there are clear and concise instructions for unusual situations, with even speculative ideas about Xenobiology. It even contains an advanced human being analogue program, used for field tutorials and for estimating the effects of chemicals on human physiology. Harry may be brilliant, but even he needs a compilation of all the knowledge he can get. Grants +3 to INT when treating wounded.

A loud hiss escaped Satomi's lips as drops of acid slipped past where they'd hit her armor and sizzled past her kimono, painfully searing the flesh around her collarbone and on the side of her neck. It was, of course, agonizing, but other Crab samurai had dealt with worse than this before, so Satomi swallowed hard and stifled any louder noises. Besides, she was in a fight, and she couldn't afford to slow down. Unfortunately, her strike had confirmed that though she actually did seem to be stronger than several of her compatriots, a simple katana strike was not going to cut it during this fight, so to speak. She was a Kaiu, not a Hida, plus there was a reason that her Hida comrades tended to use tetsubos and not katanas, for situations like this.

Still, she could contribute. Sheathing her katana reluctantly and pulling out her good crossbow, Satomi aimed in the direction of the arriving centaurs, but instead of aiming to plainly hit them, she was aiming for ways that she could make it difficult for them to block. Of course... given that they were actually kind of just blurs she could mentally extrapolate into enemies with shields and weapons, what with their distance and the condition of her eyes, she was just trying to harass a centaur, in the end, not actually having but maybe not needing real precision.

Satomi uses Fend Off on a Slaughtaur!

Loadout:

Spoiler

Daisho: A set of two swords (a katana and a shorter wakizashi) carried by absolutely any Samurai at all times, the Daisho is a mark of the Samurai's noble class and honor. 2d6+STR damage, when upgrading the weapon Satomi can choose a different effect for each sword (Katana and Wakizashi) for each level, but must choose only one of these swords to wield in combat at the beginning of each encounter.

Perfection Crossbow: A mechanical, spring-powered repeating crossbow that is capable of renocking itself after every shot without having to pull a lever -- at the expense of being ridiculously hard to initially load. It is also incredibly lightweight, but that makes it fragile and exacerbates the reloading issues. This item does not take up a slot, skills which target gear for destruction automatically succeed against this item.

Level 1: Deal 2d6+Dex Damage. The user may instead deal 6d6+Dex Damage, but must spend 3 turns reloading afterwards

Time Sandwich Samurai Armor (Level 2): These rectangular plates of samurai armor (on Satomi's thighs, shoulders, and chest) have been modified, with usage of the metal resulting from the bay explosion making the armor extremely difficult to pierce without sustained effort -- damage only sticks on one of the phases of the timeshifting metal.

Level 1: +3 RES when equipped.

Level 2: +4 further RES when equipped.

Iaijutsu Strike: Satomi performs a strike from the Rokugani art of Iaijutsu, drawing and striking with her sword in one lightning-fast movement. This does the damage of the weapon she is using, but First Strike. If she is using a weapon that merely enhances damage, this deals 2d6+STR.

Fend Off: The Kaiu aren't meant to be the ones doing the gruntwork of holding the wall, but sometimes they have to defend it anyway. Satomi harasses her opponent and generally makes attacking difficult for them, lowering their primary attack stat by her DEX for a round. 2 turn cooldown.

She hissed under her breath as something foul smelling splashed against the bone plates and hide padding, biting into her flesh like countless needles, setting nerve endings alight. But it was not enough to make her stop. She focused in on the Serpent she'd managed to bind- still perplexed at the anomaly... she'd taken it over, she'd prevailed in the grapple for control over it, or at least,  she fought she did... yet whatever malicious force had originally been driving it seemed to have just retreated deeper inside the things mind, like a wretched cancer burrowing deeper and deeper, just waiting until the right moment to strike.

Even more, there were.... things about this beast that made her body go cold. Qualities she could glimpse inside of it's psyche, raw unbridled emotions that even now flowed like water, and not one of them positive in the least bit; Lucille was convinced that whatever this thing was, it wasn't even capable of feeling things like joy or pleasure or content. It was as if, for all intents and purposes, the thing had been created purely as a killing machine...

And it reminded her far too much of some of the terrors she'd encountered back home.

"These things... they aren't even real beasts..." she muttered with no deficit of disdain in her voice "It's a glorified, living weapon..."

But it was also a living weapon she had every intent of using to their advantage, while she had it under her control. There was no telling when or where the other controller's presence would flare up again, and in all honesty, it would be better for all of them if this thing ended up dying fighting it's own kind. There was far too much risk keeping it around as a permanent companion.

And yet some part of her wanted to do just that... keep it. If for no other reason than that she could have something to toss in Lilly and Ador's self righteous faces, show them precisely what she'd meant with how there were some things that were far too dangerous to try and "talk" to, as they apparently seemed so fixed on. This thing was barely fucking Sentient, with how deeply the aggression, and little else, was hard-coded into it. And Mavens knew it was leagues away from Sapience.

But no... just as she had with the plant abomination, she'd probably refuse to see logic and still act pissy and passive aggressive. Lucille was almost certain she'd be wasting her fucking time even trying.

"KILL." It was a very simple, and rough command impulse she sent over the link, as the words escaped his lips. The words themselves had nothing to do with the actual command being received, they were purely to help her own focus, and to vent some of the mounting disgust she felt, the longer she stayed connected to this thing's mind. The drive to kill... it was something she knew full well the beast was very familiar with; it lived to kill afterall, killing was all it knew, all it was built for. Killing without need for sustenance or any other reason, simply because it could, and it must. All she had to do was take all that aggression, that frenzied madness, and turn its sights on one of the two headed beasts in the distance. "Do what you were created for, beast. Become death, destroyer of worlds, and leave nothing behind, not even your own corpse once you fall. An abomination like you has no place in the natural order of things...and I don't intend to give you one in it either."

Moves

I. Lucille swaps out the trump "Sanctuary" in her loadout and replaces it with her bound Brown Chaos Serpent! The Chaos Serpent spews Acid on one of the Ettins!

(Swapping out Sanctuary does not end its effect, as a note. Acid Spit deals {2d8+Syn[8]} Damage)

II. Lucille plays the Healing Kazoo on Herself! The Brown Chaos Serpent spews Acid on another Ettin!

(Healing Kazoo restores {6d5}% Mhp on the target. Acid Spit deals {2d8+Syn[8] Damage)

III. Lucille Casts Edge of Silence, targeting both hits on the Ettins! She uses her staff as a focus! The Brown Chaos Serpent will spew Acid on yet another Ettin!

(Edge of Silence is boosted by the Quartz Staff; will deal 2 hits dealing {1d3+Int[13]+13}*1.3 Damage each, Ignoring Damage Reductions (such as from Armor/Res) but not immunities. Acid Spit deals {2d8+Syn[8]} Damage)

6/14 Bonds

Essence: 7
Constitution: 4
Dexterity: 7
Intelligence: 13
Resistance: 7
Strength: 0
Synergy: 0

Relevant Perks

Grand Thaumist: [When Lucille casts a thaumaturgical Spell/Ritual, the numerical effects of said spell/ritual are boosted by 1.3x]

Beast Heart: [Lucille has a number of "Bonds" equal to her Essence*2. These "Bonds" can be expended to bind living, non-sapient beasts/monsters and turn them into companions under her control. Binding beasts requires Lucille to spend her action forming a Bond with them, at which point a number of bonds equal to ½ the Beast's Int will be expended, with a minimum requirement of 1. If Lucille doesn't have enough open Bonds available to satisfy this cost, the binding fails. The bonds expended on them will be restored to Lucille upon either the Creature being reduced to zero hp in battle and dying, or by her dismissing them, which may be done at any time as a free action. Bound Beasts who are dismissed will never turn hostile towards Lucille or her companions unless attacked after the fact. Bound Beasts have Stats and Actions identical to their normal counterparts, and act simultaneously with Lucille during her turns.]

Slots: 7/7

Actives (1)

Edge of Silence- Lucille utters an incantation, causing a harmonic resonance in Animus and producing a Wonder within the Physical Realm: Sound itself condenses and twists into a winding blade that seeks out and slices whatever has earned Lucille's Ire.

~Current Effects~ [Active. Thaumaturgical Spell. Launches 2 attacks that deal (1d3+Int) sonic damage each, these attacks ignore Damage Reductions, but Damage Immunities still apply. They may both be aimed either at the same, or different targets.] (boosted by Grand Thaumist Perk)

Passives (1)

Uncanny Senses- Lucille has spent her entire life missing her sight, but her taste, smell, touch, hearing, and other senses have all been amplified in order to compensate. Though she cannot see, she actually has a far greater situational awareness than most sighted people, and is more than capable of functioning effectively in dangerous situations... [Passive Ability. The user gains +1 move in combat, making it so they always have a minimum of 2 moves rather than 1. This ability is not eligible for any upgrade.]

Trumps

Tricks

Equipment (4)

Quartz Staff: An ornately carved walking staff bearing a Quartz crystal embedded into it's top. The processes by which Thaumaturgy are performed are often boosted by crystals, as their orderly, repetitive structures help to amplify the ripples a Thaumaturge attempts to make on the Animus Plane. Though more intended as a tool, it can still serve as an improvised weapon

~Current Effects~ [Bound. Deals 2d6+Dex Damage. When casting a Thaumaturgical Spell/Ritual, the user has the option to use this Staff as a focus medium, boosting the spell/ritual's effect by an additional Int. This effect can only be activated once per Turn.]

Cervidae Armor: Armor that has been made by taking leather and attaching resin-dipped, overlapping bone plates on top of it in order to protect vital areas of the upper body. Comes with a antlered skull helm, both for protecting the head and concealing the face. Despite being made from bone, several factors result in it giving far more protection than one would assume, such as the biology of Beasts the bones were gathered from, and the special resin treatment they have undergone to harden their surface even further

~Current Effect~ [Bound. Grants +5 Res while equipped.]

Healing Kazoo: A Metal Kazoo painted a bright metallic color. The special root in it's paper vibrates with a healing tone.

~Current Effects~ [Bound. When used, restores (6d5)% of the target's Max HP.]

Galdur Salve: Several sturdy, ceramic jars containing salve that Lucille created via Alchemy, named after the primary ingredient used- a root which she has come to know well for it's healing properties. The medicine works far faster than normal first aid, thanks to the nature of it's creation. [Restores 30% of Max HP when used. 2/5 remaining. Can be given to, or used on, an ally at a cost of 1]

Beasts (1)

Brown Chaos Serpent {4 Bonds}

Spoiler

Brown Chaos Serpent

-A strange, bipedal lizard beast quite literally hailing from hell. It has some... troubling qualities which remind Lucille all too much of some of the beasts back home, to say the least

Stats:

Ess: 1
Con: 4
Dex: 8
Int: 1
Res: 3
Str: 3
Syn: 8

Perks:
Acid immunity: 100% immunity to Acid, Corrosive, or Chemical damage.

Flaws:

Split Loyalty: Before Lucille bonded with this creature it had another master, despite being distant and having a greatly split focus this old master wields great power and still has some sway over the creature. [When ordered to do something this creature has a 25% chance to do something else instead(e.g. Attack the person closest instead of the one they were told to attack.), this creature also requires three more bonds than normal.]

Blood Thirsty: This creature was created for war and as such is an embodiment of chaos and malice. [Must kill at least one human sized Sapient entity per 24hrs or they will attempt to kill the nearest Sapient entity.]

Piglet retreats into the sanctuary.

Arminius covers her by planting a hand on an Entin and, though unseen, taking part of it's essence causing his runes to glow.

Arminius would pause briefely after doing so, eyebrows raising in surprise.

"Huh, she never said anything about THAT..."

Calvera's body shines brilliantly as she's hit by the two Ettins, her body now replaced with her floating form, made of solid tossing and turning flame. She reaches forward, a ball of fire slowly forming. Her voice has changed, as it booms out from her fiery body, it seeming more distant than her normal voice, as if from a plane beyond.  "BEGONE, BEINGS OF THE UNDERWORLD! I WILL PURGE YOU FROM THIS REALM, AS ASH AND DUST. GO BACK TO THE HOLES FROM WHICH YOU DWELL." As she finishes her small monologue, she sends forth her fiery fury, releasing a Sun Boil upon a Slaughtaur. Her form begins to rapidly shrink, as she becomes a blinding white, casting Neutron on a Slaughtaur, to be hit at the star of her next turn, as she becomes untargetable for that duration.

Jun shrugged her shoulders once after she saw the stone gravemarkers inexplicalbly start to flare up, and she found herself shouting out the words "Why are the graves flaring up? That is not supposed to happen". She then impractically leaped towards the five centaurs in front of her with her plasma sword ready to hack away at the lot of them.

Jun uses all of her actions to make 6 weapon attacks on the Slaughtaurs until she has ran out of attacks or they all die off.

First move deals 4d6+Dex*1.2 damage and her extra attack trick adds another attack to the first move that deals 4d6+Dex*1.2+3d4+Int*1.2 damage.

Spoiler

(GEAR) Tinfoil Armor: The user has a suit of armor made from highly extrapolated tinfoil, making it incredibly dense and durable.

Level 1: The user gains 3 RES while this is equipped.

(GEAR) Rapier Gun: This Ornate Rapier has a gun stock welded to it's pommel, and it's point has been sharpened considerably.

Level 1: This weapon may make a basic melee attack for 1d6+Str Damage, but when paired with an enhancing effect, it instead deals 2d6+Syn.

(GEAR) (CONSUMABLE) Bag of Needles: This Sack of 10 needles looks dangerous...

Level 1: Add 1 Damage per hit to an action for one turn per needle used.  If a needle is used, it is lost.  When this item runs out of needles, it disappears.

Stormfront: The user throws a handful of debris in the air, before extrapolating them, deal 1d2 damage an amount of times equal to the user's Syn, divided among all targets.  Cannot be used in areas lacking debris.

(Trick) Bend: The user extrapolates a homogenous substance, creating a supply of it themselves.
Level 1: Replace this skill with a level 1 Copy of an enemy Skill which uses a homogenous energy or matter, such as raw elements or simplistic substances.  3 Turn Cooldown after the skill ceaces function.

Whenever Soma uses this action to copy another action (not whenever the copied action is fired), roll 1d6.

If the result is even, Soma's personality becomes far more inclined toward chivalrous, lawful good-style actions.

If the result is odd, Soma's personality becomes far more inclined towards actions in line with the energy copied's properties (ie fire makes you short-tempered and aggressive, light makes it hard to focus on things for long, etc).

Soma can hold a copied action for as long as she wants (continuing to suffer the mental side effects until she chooses to release the energy).
Soma can turn the copied action into a permanent part of her arsenal, but this makes the associated mental changes permanent."

Soma attempts to use Bend on the Gravemarkers.

Round 2:

Parias uses a Mystic Urn!  The next time an ally would take a fatal blow they are instead returned to 50% HP.

Baratus attacks the Chaos Serpents with his longsword Quietus dealing 47 damage each, killing three of them.

Jun attacks one of the Slaughtaurs and deals 35 damage to it, it raises its shield.

Jun follows up with another attack for 26 damage, its shield blocks a large portion of the attack, not enough though as Jun strikes it down where it stands.

The last Chaos Serpent spits acid at Baratus, he take 6 damage from the attacks.

Kusuke Doubleshifts Harry, allowing Harry to heal Kusuke for 14 HP and himself for 7.

Lucille feels a surge of satisfaction from her bonded Chaos Serpent(2) as it spews acid on an Ettin, dealing 16 damage and killing it.

Baratus charges something.

Jun attacks a Slaughtaur twice, the first attack deals 47 damage and the Slaughtaur raises its defenses, the second attack deals 26 damage, killing the monster.

The three remaining Slaughtaurs raise their shields and fire out bolts of blue energy at Calvera, the Traitor Serpent, and Jun dealing 16, 15, and 5(dodge failed) damage respectively.

The Mystic Urn cracks as it absorbs the attack for Calvera, she is returned to 50% HP.

Satomi distracts one of the Slaughtaurs reducing their main attacking stat by 5.

The last Chaos Serpent spits acid at Lucille for 11 damage.

Kusuke Doubleshifts Harry, allowing Harry to heal Calvera for 15 HP and himself for 8.

Daedolon sends out a surge of fireballs from his staff that tear through the wounded Ettins like paper, dealing a total of 220 damage divided among the five heavily wounded Ettins and three of the moderately wounded Ettins, killing them all.

Piglet moves into the Sanctuary made by Lucille.

Lucille heals herself for 6 HP as her Serpent spits acid on one of the wounded Ettins, dealing 22 damage and barely bringing it to its knees.

Baratus attacks with Quietus, dealing 28 damage to each of the two wounded Ettins and one of the healthy ones, killing the two and wounded the third.

The Unioned pair breathes a healing mist onto Lucille, Satomi, and Baratus restoring 6 HP each, Union gains 2 exhaustion.

Jun attacks one of the Slaughtaurs however after watching her attack the other two this one manages to parry her attack early and throw her off balance, she becomes stunned.  (1v20 Res, 10 for random event)

Jun recovers from stun.

When Arminius attempts to tear essence out of the Ettin instead of finding a single soul, he find that they’re more like pieces and fragments of many souls all forced together in the same meat-suit.

Spoiler

Arminius obtains 1 “Undead essence fragment: Ettin, Ettins were once the proud and powerful soldiers of the Legion, now fused together as unholy abominations.  May be consumed to increase MHP by 1 point, or used in crafting.”

Soma bends some of the flames shrouding the Gravemarkers, the first thing she notices is that the flames are uncomfortably hot, even more so than the surrounding air, next she notices a sudden underlying demonic chanting filling the air around her, (Was that always there?) finally she notices that the flames seem to mend wounds, albeit imperfectly.

Spoiler

Soma obtains: Flame of Undeath(trick): reduce one target's MHP by 1d6 and heal them to 10* that amount. This lost of MHP is permanent.

Kusuke Doubleshifts Harry, allowing Harry to heal Piglet for 14 HP and himself for 7.

Lucille swipes twice at the Ettins with a blade of sound dealing 32 and 31 damage, killing one and wounding another.  Her Traitor Serpent attacks for another 17 damage, further wounding the Ettin.

Harry heals Soma for 17, restoring 9 to himself.

Mirri fires a string of blaster fire at the Ettins, dealing 10 and 11 damage to the wounded Ettin, killing it, then 14 damage to another.

One of the remaining Ettins attacks Jun who dodges the attack and two attack Soma, they deal 4 and 11 damage, Harry takes a total of 7 damage by extension.

Jun attacks the Slaughtaur again and deals 28 damage.

Baratus charges something.

Kusuke Doubleshifts Harry, allowing Harry to heal Arminius for 16 HP and himself for 8.

Harry also heals Jun for 17 HP and himself for 9, to bad he didn’t take any damage this round what with all that healing wasted.

Calvera boils a Slaughtaur alive, dealing 31 damage and killing it.

Calvera then begins charging Neutron.

The Gravemarkers surge with green and black flame and it spreads to their respective graves, through the flames and out of the graves crawl 5 more very angry looking Reivers.

A shadow looms over the battlefield, an unidentifiable shape glides through the smoke above, that is until Parias speaks up.

“Watch the skies!  There’s a DeathWyvern above us and it looks like it's going to land.”

Note:
Smashing a Gravemarker costs one action or 15 points of damage(in the case of an AoE targeting them).

"Great job guys, let's bring down the Wyvern and we can be done with this!"

Arminius Mass Inspires the party.

Calvera, see-er of all, spots the moving Wyvern above, shifting her sights off of the Slaughtaurs. She targets the Wyvern with Neutron. (Still at counted at 26 SYN).

She then proceeds to throw a Sun Boil at the remaining Serpent (if that is dead, throw it at a Reiver, and if those are dead, throw it at the Wyvern.)

A second fireball extends from Calvera's hand as she throws another Sun Boil at the Wyvern above.

Jun decided that this is an absolutely great time to do something that is both heroic and extremelly ill advised by leaping towards the Deathwyvern with her sword in hand!.

Jun attacks the deathwyvern six times with her plasma sword. Dealing 4d6+Dex*1.2 damage once, and 4d6+Dex*1.2+3d4+Int*1.2 damage six times if all of her attacks hit.

A great leathery beat of wings pierced the heavens, causing Lucille to peer upwards with eyes that saw nothing. She did not need to see it however, for the mere noise it created was more than enough, and she could sense the beast's presence overhead, like a mounting pressure in the back of her mind. A special type of hate and malice practically radiated from the abomination, stronger than anything the serpent broadcasted, stronger than anything she felt as she idly reached out and probed the minds of all the lesser beasts surrounding them. So strong infact, that even after she stopped actively feeling for it, she could still pick it up, like a ship caught in a tidal wave... She did not even consider trying to bind this... this thing. This entity of death and destruction, this biological weapon of terror and chaos. No...

Instead, Lucille raised her staff on high, open her mouth and issued an incomprehensible incantation, a reverberation in the very fabric of reality itself, and caused the crystal she carried to blaze with unnatural light, seeming to amplify the reverberation until it reached a fever pitch, gathering, growing, like a horde of rabid beasts all pursuing the same prey... and each other. And finally, they pounced. Sound itself became a deadly weapon, the countless noises permeated the killing field merging into one, shifting, sliding, slicing the air itself as twin blades bundled together and hurtled towards the flying predator...

Moves

I. Lucille casts Edge of Silence, with both hits targeting the Death Wyvern! She uses her Staff as a focus! Her Chaos Serpent will spew Acid on the Ettins!

(Edge of silence is boosted by staff; Launches 2 hits dealing {1d3+Int[13]+13}*1.3 damage each, ignoring damage reductions, but not immunities. Acid Spit deals {2d8+Syn[8]} Damage)

II. Lucille plays the Healing Kazoo on herself! Her Chaos Serpent spews Acid on The Death Wyvern!

(Restores {6d5}% Mhp on the Target. Acid Spit deals {2d8+Syn[8]} Damage)

III. Lucille casts Edge of Silence once more, with both hits targeting the Death Wyvern! Her Chaos Serpent will spew Acid on the Death Wyvern again! (If the Wyvern is dead, She will Instead smash one of the gravemarkers, and her Serpent will also break one of the gravemarkers.)

(EoS launches 2 hits dealing {1d3+Int[13]}*1.3 Damage each, Ignoring Damage Reductions, but not Immunities.

Beasts (1)

Brown Chaos Serpent {4 Bonds}

Spoiler

Brown Chaos Serpent

-A strange, bipedal lizard beast quite literally hailing from hell. It has some... troubling qualities which remind Lucille all too much of some of the beasts back home, to say the least

Stats
13/28

Stats:

Ess: 1
Con: 4
Dex: 8
Int: 1
Res: 3
Str: 3
Syn: 8

Actions:
Actives:

Acid Spit: Spit a large ball of corrosive gas and liquid at an enemy. [Deals 2d8+[Syn] damage to one target.]

Side Step: Simply step out of the way of danger. [Gain 50% dodge chance again the next attack made against you.]

"Thanks Kusuke!" It had been an extremely strange experience, and an almost exhilarating one to be shifted back in time so often. Yes, it had been mentally a bit exhausting, yes he was a bit hurt himself, but he had managed to patch up nealy half the team in a matter of. . . well it was short. That was all that mattered. Soma had again taken some injuries, so Harry rushed over, to once again perform his job.

Harry uses Slap on a Bandaid and Call it enough on Soma (or Jun, if Soma's entirely healed when Harry's turn comes about) and himself (for when he gets hit with everything next round)

Spoiler

HP: (Con*2)+20=38+6=46
Moves: Equal to your Dex, minus the average Dex of this Encounter.  Minimum 2.

Essence: 1

Constitution: 10

Dexterity: 1

Intelligence:  8 (x1.25)->10 (+3 on wounded)

Resistance:  3 (+5)

Strength:  3

Synergy: 1

Speedy Prognosis: Harry gets one extra turn per combat round. Nonupgradeable, and cannot be duplicated.

Bone Reinforcement: Harry has +3 MHP, this passive doesn't take up a slot.

Level 2: Now +6.

Wolftech Kevlar Polymer Synthesis Heavy Ballistic Infantry Combat Armor: Grants +5 RES, but at a -2 STR penalty.

Stormfront: The user throws a handful of debris in the air, before extrapolating them, deal 1d2 damage an amount of times equal to the user's Syn, divided among all targets.  Cannot be used in areas lacking debris.

Extrapolate: The user causes a non-living target to grow and expand.  The larger or more complex it is, the longer this process takes.  Requires 1, 2, or 3 turns to grow an object by one expansion.

"Anyone here have a big weapon?!"

Soma shouts, preparing to try something.  She shudders as she forces her power to discard the black fire metaphorically creeping around in her head.

Mirri switches targets immediately, pumping four more blaster bolts into the Wyvern for 11 + 1d3 damage apiece.  Then she draws her lightsaber and uses its defensive action, blocking the first attack to strike her this round, and reflecting any projectiles blocked this way back at the attacker.

Satomi had kept her Perfection Crossbow out, jerking it towards the dragon-like beast once it appeared, but she ended up holding off once she saw the absolute storm of death that her teammates were bringing down upon it. Alright, that was fine -- perhaps her contribution could be used elsewhere. Instead, she saw the gaki-like creatures rising from the gravestones, which clearly had some sort of maho (did one use maho for ghosts?) that was allowing them to bring more monsters that her group would have to deal with. Since trying to shoot the "gaki"s themselves would have little effect, Satomi slung her crossbow back onto her back, drew her katana as she proceeded to run at the gravemarker, and then slammed the sword's hilt into the gravestone as hard as she could.

Satomi smashes a Gravemarker!

Kusuke uses his first action to Recall Soma, resetting her health to what it was at the start of this turn.

He uses his second and third actions to stab the Ettins that look the weakest.

He delays his final action to the end of the round, and uses Tempofrag on the Death Wyvern, or the Reivers if it is dead.

Jun jumps up and plants her plasma sword firmly into the roof of the Wyvern’s skull, it roars violently(the glow of Jun’s sword visible in its mouth) before collapsing to the ground, dead.

Baratus charges something.

Kusuke Tempofrags the Reivers, dealing 6 damage to each and 3 to himself.

Harry heals himself for 14 HP.

Calvera sends a blast of X-radiation at one of the Reivers turning it into a smear of color.

Satomi was clearly not in a very good position -- her and Mirri were the most clearly wounded at its conclusion, but the fact that her armor was not concealing made the extent of her injuries far more clear. Firstly, blood was dripping down her front, as well as some of other unidentifiable fluid, seeping from under the shoulder and chest plates on her right side, the aftermath of the acid attack she'd taken near the start of the battle. Secondly, the bizarre attack that had hit her the second time had her in inexplicable pain and weakness throughout her body, visible only in the hunch in her posture and the squint of her eyes. Although she was grimacing, she made no attempt to slow down or to complain about her injuries: it was unbecoming of a samurai, she was far from the only one wounded, and there were new things to pay attention to anyway.

Satomi's first moments after the battle were spent looting; she gathered gravestone pieces, she scraped some scales off of the wyvern and then left them for the others to pick up, and then she went up to one of the dead Slaughtaurs and reluctantly went for its shield. If this were not a horrible monster, the act would be shameful -- but considering that it was some oni, looting it was simply a matter of pragmatism, and not particularly a stain on her honor, even if she did still feel a little awkward.
