  1. There's 2 side quests you complete in Kristiline Town's help center called 'Research' and '???' (literally what it's called). The ??? quest will appear on the board after you complete 'Research'. After you complete both the move relearner in Sheridan will be able to teach any pokemon their egg moves in exchange for 1 heart scale.
  2. People are free to agree or disagree. I definitely understand the sentiment when it comes to a single player game and how your game play effects only yourself in this case, heck I have a gameshark for my old DS and even one for a playstation 2 sitting around somewhere to prove that lol. My reasoning for Pokemon Rejuvenation in this instance is that Jan and the devs are making this game for free, and are providing it for us to play with which is awesome! So when he says he doesn't like people using debug for it (discourages, etc. Can't find the actual quote anybody is free to correct me on this), I feel the least I can do as a fan is to make at least 1 play through as the game is in development the way it was intended at the time without any short cuts. Even though i'm doing it on casual <.< >.> Yes I realize the irony on doing it on casual vs normal XD Again, anyone is free to disagree. That's just my own personal reason.
  3. I'm against it, at least for your first play through as I believe Jan himself discourages others from using debug. At the same time, however, I agree with Mhicky about being against IVs all together. "Oh, you finally hatched a shiney of the Pokemon you wanted? Well that's too bad because it's *insert stat your mon can use* IV is in the single digits despite using destiny knot, power items and Arceus knows what else for other stats so you get to roll the dice all over again!" The amount of eggs I have hatched so far is pretty depressing. I wish there was a way to purchase something in game with achievement points or some other currency that improves IVs, or barring that a shiny paint similar to how Pokemon Desolation does (and not just as an option after you beat the game). Edit: spelling
  4. They've made it a point not to effect the story in a way that completely changes decisions or elements of long time players in my experience, and I've been playing since version 9. You can keep your old play through, but the devs recommend doing another play through each time a new version pops up just so you can see the changes for yourself. You can find updates and goodies about v13 here: https://www.rebornevo.com/rejuvdev/
  5. Several starters are already available as encounters in the game. I'd imagine they plan to do the same for the gen 8 starters eventually, but we have no guarantee atm that any of them will be world encounters in v13.
  6. I'm currently using the moonfield comet shard method. Using Galvantula with compound eyes. Mons in the area also drop moonstones, sunstones and stardust. So you can sell those too. I also have the other 5 slots filled with a team of pick up mons, great way to stack up on max repels for any future pesky caves with a high encounter rate. I've even gotten a couple of leftovers and more PP ups than I know what to do with lol. Interesting to note about this method, is that the cleffas can also drop leppa berries, so you don't need to go back to the pokemon center every time you need to refresh your number of Thief's PP. And for those still working on the 'That's a stone, Luigi' achievo, i've been catching every clefairy that spawns once every blue moon and just using the moonstones that drop off the mons in this area.
  7. I demand that Keta's official title in the game now be "The King of Ass Kicking."
  8. Zetta is taller than Naved?!?! I always pictured Naved being a super tall intimidating dude while I thought Zetta was about as tall as Melia haha. I'm keeping my current play through (grinded too many shinies to stop now XD) but I'll definitely do another fresh run once v13 comes out.
  9. According to Jan (in his post 'Regarding V13, Major Update!'), a 2021 Spring/Summer release is too long of a wait considering how long this version was taking already with delays and the major bummer 2020 turned out to be. So v13 will be released in 2 parts; part 1 being the base game and part 2 (to be released several months later) will consist of side quests, etc. So with that being said, if they still plan to release it in early 2021, my best guesstimate is around late February or early March (based on the fact that spring "officially begins" on March 20th this year.) Hopefully sooner, but to be fair according to the devs this one is going to be the largest update yet.
  10. No, it's not. Don't remember where I saw it but I believe they plan to go up to version 16 when the game is completed, with the current version being 12. Anyone is free to correct me though.
  11. Yes, you need not only the badge but the corresponding HM in order to use the golden item equivalents. Otherwise players could potentially cross/circumvent obstacles that involve HM moves sooner than what the game creators intend.
  12. By the sounds of it, even before this post v13 is going to be HUGE, and that's without adding the stuff gen 8 gave us. Honestly using this method for future versions might not be a bad idea when you're feeling swamped, not just v13. Granted this year in particular has sucked hardcore but still. NGL I'm still sad about the delay this version has suffered, but I understand the reasons. I'll force myself to be patient if I have to, this game is worth it. It's not a stretch to say I'm more hyped about v13 than I was about most of the official pokemon releases. Edit: spelling
  13. First, I recommend checking if you have the latest version of the game Second, this has been a problem for me and others in the past (particularly when you picked the decisions that results in you not having the magma stone). A method of triggering the event is to continue up the mountain up to a certain point, I won't spoil it for you but you'll know you are at the correct point when you receive the TM for Magma Drift. After you received the tm return back to the area that Kyogre is supposed to show up, hopefully the event will trigger for you as soon as you take a few steps into the room. You'll know it worked if Venam is in there.
  14. As someone who has been doing a lot of egg hatching I can feel your frustration. It sounds like you are extremely unlucky though. Not sure where you are in the game or how long you are willing to wait, but the store in department of dreams in GDC has ability capsules for sale on the seventh floor (you'll need 6 stamps to access the floor they are sold on)
  15. Aside from getting it as a starter, you can get it in Carotos mountain. It's on the right side of the same floor that you had to give SEC the password that was spread throughout the room. You'll need strength and I believe rock smash. There is a Team Xen grunt that has several pokemon in cages that you can trade for shards, including the charmander which will cost red shards (don't remember how many) Edit: you will also need blast powder to clear out the rest of a boulder you used rock smash on.
  16. The Sheridan Village move tutor will be able to make your pokemon learn egg moves in exchange for 1 heart scale after you have completed a side quest in Kristiline town's help center quest (don't remember which one)
  17. As someone who also plays for the story, I can relate to the difficulty. I prefer to use Pokemon that I like vs having to worry about team composition etc. especially in a game that heavily features story, which isn't easy to do in this game even on the difficulty mode that is ironically labelled as 'casual'. (to be fair, I won't sit here and pretend i'm good at competitive pokemon battles/strategies so that's probably half my problem right there lol) I still feel that way sometimes, but I have come to appreciate some of the new experiences this game has brought to my attention such as IVs/EVs, strategies and also using mons that I wouldn't have even given a second thought to but now have become some of my favorite! To be fair, this game does have a few things that somewhat offset the higher difficulty: Easier ways to EV train, making perfect or semi perfect IVs through breeding easier to obtain. There's also the move re learner in Sheridan village that can teach egg moves after completing a side quest in Kristiline. Not to mention pokemon, even caught in the wild, can potentially possess their hidden ability. I realize your personal experience was more towards the confusion or immersion that is the result of the difficulty rather than the difficulty itself as you said, I just wanted to say that despite my own grievances the higher difficulty and challenge have brought me I still was able to find ways to enjoy the game despite them. Hope you feel the same way too!
  18. I take it this is the only Rockruff in the game that can have/learn Own Tempo to evolve into dusk form? Or can you breed it so that the babies know the ability?
  19. First, sorry if this is the wrong place to post something like this. As the title suggests, what is considered the 'good' choice between siding with Shiv or Aurora? Or at least what are the consequences of siding with either/or? I've read the 5th diary in the secret room don't know if that makes a difference. Pls and ty
  20. Alright, thanks. Guess I just have to buckle down and keep at it.
  21. Are pokemon that share an ancestry with a purified shadow pokemon shiny locked? Been trying to get a shiny ponyta bred from the former shadow one you get from S.E.C.s for the past 3 days with no luck.
  22. Can confirm it works on both wild and trainer battles. I would imagine it only activates only after you win a battle (keeping in mind it's only about a 10% chance) otherwise people could just go to the wild and keep running away.
  23. Sorry, reread and I answered the question asked in the title instead of the post. Was saying how it isn't shiny locked so It IS capable of being shiny I should say. As I mentioned though there are better alternatives if you are willing to wait if the goal is a shiny sylveon.
  24. It isn't. When resetting in a recent play through for better IV's for the eevee in question one of the eevees was shiny. I didn't keep it because I cared more about the IVs than the color but it can definitely be a shiny. And if it's a sylveon you want, you get one for free later in the game, and it even has pefect IVs across the board. That one is also capable of being shiny, can confirm since i'm rocking one in my current team. There is also a guaranteed shiny eevee later in the game involving the Kimono girls.
