Oh boy, here we go. I have two mons I want to talk about specifically. One of them won't really bother many of you, but I know for a fact the second one is going to piss a fair amount of you off. Either way...

I've noticed my topic has been sniped lol In all seriousness, I'm disappointed in this game. Not because it's a return to Kanto, or because of the possibility of no online, and not even because of the catching mechanics. Instead, I'm disappointed that Pikachu and Eevee were chosen as the mascots of the games, when we could have had a real Pokemon represent this game:

It should be between the town past route 2 and the swamp in that passageway. There's a woman selling some goods. She also happens to give you the Thunderstone.

It evolved at level 19. I gave it the Soothe Bell, as well as never let it faint.

@Archeric The above spoiler does lead into my one problem with this game, however. Since I'm a Mac player, there are some sound files (some .wav files) that won't play. It's strange, because it works with some .wav files and both others. However, that's less the games fault and more me trying to play the game on a system it wasn't intended for. It's still incredibly fun!

@DreamblitzX the funny thing is that it actually releases tomorrow at 1:00 PM EST. I only just learned about this game, so I'm looking forward to this. Honestly, though, I'm not a big fan of the starters. Despite this, I'm going for Arcanine. Starmie looks too good, and I've already used Lilligant before in White.

I have a theory about that: Onix is one of the first big Pokemon you encounter in the original RBY. Brock's Onix looks so badass when you first encounter it, so it is automatically seen as a threat. However, that makes it all the more satisfying when you finally defeat it. In other words, it's not meant to be good, but rather a spectacle. The anime making Onix look like a behemoth is another bullet in a long list of inconsistencies (like Pikachu hitting Rhydon's horn to damage it)... ...but what I can't get over is how Onix's attack stat is actually worse than Oddish's. If Onix sat on you, you would be dead lmao

A lot of good options have been said so far. However, I think there's also one people overlook: simple Bibarel. Not only does it learn Curse (further boosted through Simple), it can abuse priority moves such as Aqua Jet and Quick Attack for massive damage. There's only one downside to this, however: you need to breed Quick Attack onto it for maximum effectiveness. However, Bibarel is much better than people think, at least for early game.

From a non models perspective, no. Ash-Greninja will not be in Reborn at any point. I also did some digging, and I couldn't find a mod available for that. However, I wouldn't be surprised if one comes out later.

Well there's your problem! Your Grimer isn't a Muk yet! I suggest leveling it up until it evolves (you can get past the gap with rare candies, then level down with common candies) in order to win. Alolan Muk really helps with that fight
