  1. Sorry, that meant to say Sharon and Eli! Fixed!
  2. My team is pretty bad right now. I am about to fight Sharon and Eli for the final time, and would love suggestions for future team members. Here is who I have: Achilles (Swampert) -Surf -Rock Slide -Protect -Earthquake StonkyDonk (Alolan Muk) -Gunk Shot -Minimize -Knock Off -Crunch Lust (Salazzle) -Toxic -Magma Drift -Venoshock -Nasty Plot Dreamworks (Lunatone) -Hypnosis -Stone Edge -Rock Slide -Psychic Whitney (Whimsicott) -Leech Seed -Energy Ball -Hurricane -Moonblast Static (Manectric) -Wild Charge -Discharge -Flash -Thunder Fang Who should I replace, and for what? Let me know!
  3. Honestly, you should be fine. The next gym isn't too bad. However, if you want, consider training a Togedemaru. I know it sounds nuts, but it gets access to Spiky Shield and Nuzzle, which are both extremely handy. If you wanted it, I would say you would be best replacing Cloyster. Otherwise, that team looks extremely fun!
  4. I would have ranked Swoobat higher, but I feel as if a lot of Swoobat's viability depends on if you can set up. I had one myself, and it died before it could do anything. I would have to reset a lot before it worked, and I feel that hurts it a lot. Then again, I could have gotten unlucky (I also suck at the game, so that could be a part of it). I DO agree with the Primerina ranking, however, and also think it deserves the S rank. Having said that: Quagsire: C +Decent enough movepool +Available relatively early as a shadow Pokemon with the move Flame Charge +The answer to Madelis's Shadow Mewtwo -Lackluster speed -Doesn't really shine against the gyms -Pretty outclassed by Swampert Whimsicott: D +PRANKSTER +An excellent move pool, including moves like Leech Seed, Energy Ball, Hurricane, and Moonblast +It can learn Substitute (with Prankster Leech Seed, this is quite fun) -Doesn't shine in any particular gyms -4x weakness to poison -As of now, the only way you can get it is through the Mystery Egg. Be thankful if you get one. Torterra: C- +Great offensive stats +Access to helpful moves such as Leech Seed and Earthquake via level up +Decent Tammy stats -HORRID SPEED -A really bad defensive typing to undermine those tanks stats -Poor Torterra. It does not fare well in the gym battles at all due to its speed. It sucks against Venam, gets crushed by Keta (Ice Punch Lucario), gets walled by Mariannette (Pyroar and Chatot) and has no real advantages against the gyms (even Valerie gets access to Ice Beam and Erick gets ice moves). It is not treated as well as it is in Reborn because of when it has to fight in key matchups.
  5. Hello! I noticed recently that there wasn't a tier list for Episode 16 of Reborn (this is now going to be updated with E17 in mind). I thought that we may be able to change that with this following list. The way you make a tier list is simple, you must rank each family based on: -accessibility -utility -movepool -how well it utilizes field effects -overall potential This shall be a community thing, so I have posted the rankings below from the last tier list (created by Lord Wallace). With that in mind, happy voting! S-Rank: These Pokemon are arguably the best in the game, being able to hold their own from the instant you get them, which is usually very early, to much later in the game. They never really lose their usefulness, and are the Pokemon you should be using if you want the smoothest and easiest play though. A Rank: These Pokemon are almost always useful, but are held back from the S-tier for one reason or another. They usually have good stats, decent availability, good movepool and can usually handle themselves in battles. B Rank: These are Pokemon that tend to be quite decent, provide a good experience with the difficulty of the game, while not being too hard to train or win with. They tend to missing a couple of key things that make them a lot better. C Rank: These pokemon are very middle of the ground. They have good redeeming qualities, but also have their share of negative ones too. D Rank: These Pokemon are on the lower side of things. They tend to have more bad things about them than good things. If you want to have a challenge with this game, I'd recommend starting here and below. Fail Rank: These are pokemon that have trouble getting anywhere. They tend to be hindered by many bad traits, and have very limited usefulness. Limbo: These Pokemon are technically available but for one reason or another cannot be given an appropriate ranking.
  6. YAAAAS! Someone is going to get the defensive (and honestly pretty underrated monster) Gigalith! Thanks for making me a Roggenrola!
  7. From what I remember, it gets Flame Charge as a shadow only move. Then again, it's a Finneon. It's already really frail, and that move isn't particularly useful in the near future.
  8. I personally say yes just for the writing. It got WAY less angsty, and is a much better game for it.
  9. @Lord Chespin, I'm playing a new save file, and I have some more rankings that may help: Muk (Alolan): A +Available really early (Zetta has it as a Shadow Pokemon) +Has an awesome defensive typing (only a 2x weakness to ground) +Learns awesome moves such as Gunk Shot, Crunch, and the almighty Knock Off +Great bulk +Useful for the majority of the gyms -A bit on the slow side -As a Grimer, it evolves a bit later, so you may need some patience -It is likely to get a bad ability in Alchemy, so you may need an ability capsule Swampert: B/B- +Great bulk +One of the best defensive typings in the game +Learns a variety of HM-esque moves, such as Surf, Rock Smash, Rock Climb, and Strength +Learns Earthquake through level up +Available as a starter -A bit too slow -Grass types are still a thing -Holds its own against the gym leaders, but struggles against Crawli and Flora/Florin -A lot of the moves it learns through level up during the first half of the game are special, yet it is a physical attacker Togedemaru: B- +Available relatively early in the game +A pretty decent type with a pretty decent ability in Iron Barbs +Has access to the almighty and underrated move Spiky Shield (you can see how fun that will be if you also put a rocky helmet on this thing) +Good speed +Gets access to Nuzzle through level up +Pretty good attack to take advantage of Zing Zap -It's special attack is lacking, and it learns a lot of special attacking moves -The only real steel type move it gets is Gyro Ball, and that's through a TM -Overall outclassed by Magnezone (better special attack with a wider variety of moves), and eventually gets outclassed by Manectric (who has superior special attack and speed) Lunatone: C+/C +Respectable special attack and special defense +Available before the second gym battle +Access to the moves Psychic, Rock Slide, and Stone Edge via Level Up +Helpful during Keta, Angie (although barely), Crawli's slower bugs, and even Amber +LEVITATE -Extremely disappointing attack stat -Defense stat leaves a lot to be desired -Mediocre speed -Overall, there are a lot of rock types and psychic types that just do their jobs better than Lunatone Manectric: A- +Discharge via level up is a huge plus (especially with double battles when you have a ground type or a Mon with Lightning Rod like A-Marowak) +Available as soon as you reach route 2 (go back to the hotel room and get your Electrike) +Very good special attack stat +Excellent speed +Does well enough against a majority of the gyms, and is a beast against Valerie +Static is an excellent ability -It's pretty frail overall -It may get the ability Minus instead -Overall, Heliolisk is probably more viable, but Manectric is more accessible since you don't have to spend as much money for it: it's up to you Lumineon: D +Get early access to Finneon as a Shadow Pokemon +Decent enough speed +Gets coverage moves in Gust... and Silver Wind... I guess... -Poor stats everywhere else -Gets outclassed by the other water types at pretty much every position And finally, most of all, the actual best Pokemon in Rejuvenation by a long shot (WAY better than Blaziken): Luvdisc: SS +There are totally no negatives +An excellent mon for Rejuvenation, because it's mere presence can cause your opponents to laugh themselves to death +With great speed, its ability in the rain can ensure the one stat it doesn't need a boost in gets another boost, ensuring "damage" +Incredible versatility with it's wide variety of Draining Kiss and Heart Stamp through level up +Decimate the competition with its amazing special attack stat of 40 +Confuse enemies with Sweet Kiss, and MAYBE buy one more turn before Luvdisc becomes heart-shaped mush +Luvdisc becomes an incredible Pokemon to breed with, allowing it to gain awesome moves such as Mud Sport, Captivate, and Splash +Alomamola only WISHES it could be this good ...but seriously, this is an obvious E.
  10. Correct, it's in Caratos Mountain. When Madelis wants you and Keta to find the keys, there is one room on the top right with a bunch of teleporters. It's at the end of that room.
  11. Don't know about Type: Null, but the upgrade was in the top right corder of the Sheridan Hideout in the volcano. There were some teleporters you had to go through.
  12. Where do I find one? I want to use a Whimsicott for my team. (Also, thank you for putting up with these constant "help me please" posts. I shall try and make this the last one, because after that, I will have caught most of the new mons I wanted to try, as well as catch ones I have not used before)
  13. A quick question: now that Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon are coming, will any "Pokemon not featured in Sun and Moon" (that is, if it isn't mons "not featured" like in Black and White but instead entirely new mons) be added? If so, I call dibs on a shiny.
  14. Did you post this topic twice? It shows up twice on my screen. I think you have to find a key in the hedge maze. It is on a wall on the top right corner. You can tell by seeing a grey, starry pattern in the ground.
  15. Thank you! That did the trick! I skipped dialogue with Braixen. What do I need to do after I cut the green boxes labeled R?
  16. Now that V9 is out, a lot has changed. Does anyone know where to find Mosely's Key and Kingdra's Wing?
  17. There's only one question to ask: Why is the dark type leader using a psychic type?
  18. @Lord Chespin, Here are some I used. From experience, here is how I see them (only my opinion): Chesnaught: C- +Good attack +Spiky Shield is VERY underrated +Leech Seed is helpful +Hits hard -too slow -typing is not as good -gets walled by many of the gyms -overall outclassed by Breloom Swoobat: C+ +An early game beast (RIP Venam and Keta) +Takes advantage nicely of Blessed Field with access to Confusion +Access to the ability Simple +Gets access to Calm Mind at Level 29 -Good luck using it past the third gym -Useless without the ability Simple -Has the defensive capabilities of a cardboard box Golem (Kantonian): B +Gets access to helpful moves like Earthquake and Stone Edge through level up +Sturdy is an awesome ability +Great attack +Decent defenses +STEALTH ROCK THROUGH LEVEL UP -HORRID SPECIAL DEFENSE -HORRID TYPE -HORRID SPEED (pretty much requires the use of quick claw) -pretty sad without sturdy Pyroar: B+ +Available early +Respectable special attack +Good speed +Good HM Slave +Access to Flamethrower via level up +Takes a dump all over Marianette with Echoed Voice, does decently against the other gym leaders (Angie and Valerie non-withstanding) -poor defenses -meh abilities (it's a special attacker with moxie...?) -pretty bad type Walrein: C +Great HP +Decent bulk +THICK FAT FTW +Great special attack +Gets access to a decent amount of HMs as Spheal +You can catch Spheal at a relatively high level, allowing quicker access to Warren +Blizzard stalls Amber's strategy (it gets Blizzard through level up) -Arrives a bit too late -Not helpful past Angie and Amber -SLOW -Ice is not a good defensive type Also, as a bonus, Unown: E +Just kidding, there are no positives -Dear god, please don't do this to yourself...
  19. This may seem kind of strange, but for me, it was the writing. I started a new save file, and the writing and interactions between characters is MILES better than it was at first.
  20. I think I am done with most of V9. What I have done is (SPOILERS AHEAD, IF THAT WASN'T OBVIOUS ALREADY): What is left for me to do?
  21. I also found an item called an "Appophyll Pancake" (sorry for the bad spelling), and it is an item you can use. Try that on Pikachu.
