  1. I believe the only changes is in the first category (strength). Not only are most the important battle's pokemon higher leveled (usually about 8-10 levels different from easy to hard), but some mons are replaced with better mons. I don't know the EV/IV situation fully, but I am sure that most are fully trained on Hard past a certain point in the game. Important fights use items on medium and hard mode. You might get more or less money depending on mode, but it is not a substantial difference or someone would have complained about it. The other two aren't different (though I question what fangame would change egg hatching for difficulty.....that would just increase monotony)
  2. Just found out I was supposed to catch Giratina when you faced in the story..........dammit.

Yea maybe I am thinking of arceus, it was one of the ones at throne of the hegemon. and yea, I can probably do the giratina trade at some point, don't worry about the ralts, after the E4 rematch I basically decided that I had had my fill of Insurgence

      A glitch in the Matrix?

Anyway, I sent a PM to Wolfox about this yesterday, the he got back to me a bit ago and did the trade.  Thank you for offering though

  3. Well, the studio behind Kemono Friends gave a completely bullshit excuse for firing the person that helped save the anime production from the soul-less failure it would have become otherwise (with the extremely understaffed and underfunded team noting it was a miracle it was even done by the deadline).  Maybe the extreme backlash will make them reconsider, but like with most corporations, they probably won't back down from their obvious mistake.

It seems people's comparisons yesterday of them being anime's newest Konami weren't unfounded............Hopefully the rest of their team will be able to keep the spirit and tone of season 2 the same as the first, without the studio turning it the merchandising throwaway they were initially aiming for.

Why like Metal Gear specifically tho? I mean it's not like Konami killed of an amazing franchise before Metal Gear... Oh WAIT:

(on the off chance you are kind of serious about the question):  Well, Konami's firing of Kojimi (the man behind Metal Gear as a whole) is still fresh in everyone's mind, especially since it keeps getting brought up by some party.  To further the potential comparison, most see the upcoming (eventually) Metal Gear: Survive as a soulless cash grab by Konami which will desecrate a beloved franchise; fans don't want to see season 2 of Kemono Friends go down this route.  Also so, there was already a fair amount of Kemono Friends/ Metal Gear crossover fanart, so fans are probably more likely to make that connection (and drawing more, hence the last two screenshots of tweets).

I haven't really known any about Casalvania, aside from the original game or 2.  I know that a Netlix series about was released recently, but I haven't looked into fan responses to it.

the series was good so far, even if the 4 pilot episodes are all we have so far

  4. I didn't. I just didn't know how to spell it and was too lazy to look up how. They got the idea, though
  5. Well, my expectations for Season 2 have certainly been diminished.

  6. Well, I was soft resetting to get the nature I wanted (with decent IV's or with just one I could IV stone)......instead I came across this.  I'll take it take!:

I'd love to get a shiny mew, it being my original favorite pokemon (and favorite mythical)... but I've got no patience or time to reset 1,000 times xD Pink mew is cute so *scurries away*

I don't blame you.  It was a tough debate, but I decided I wanted my first Mew to be something special.

  7. He offers to trade you an 'inferior' fossil for it. This is how you get the Jaw (Tyrunt) and Sail (Amphous???) fossils.
  8. Well, did Insurgence's E4 rematches.  I had to give up resetting to beat the champion the first time around since my mons were too underleveled to outspeed anything or survive long enough to lay down Livewire (though that mostly stemmed from not having the best team to go up against their team:

    Spoiler

Ghost and Dark types, some with frustrating type combinations

After leveling up everyone (past the point needed probably), the match became doable with my team, though I still needed Livewire to outspeed anything. Also had to D. Bisharp the move Shadow Claw to do any real damage.  I was still was taken down to two mons, though.   Not sure if I'll try to put a good team together to do the whole 'no fainted mons' challenge (though the prize makes it tempting).

I knew Insurgence was based on Z/O, but I did not know they had the same creator.  Still unlikely I'll play it soon, since it has been on my "might play someday" list for a while; however, other fan games with content past Gen 5 prevent me from wanting to play it in lieu of other games.

So those tidbits they gave before fighting them in the rematch (about being a former gym leader and an E4 member) is pretty much most of their story (even in Z/O)?  Disappointing.

When I saw the name Tobias somewhere on the wiki, I thought we would be seeing the 4th gen Darkrai user from the anime, which only seemed more true when X/Y's   Mr. "Blasto Burn" showed up as a Timeless.  Instead, we get someone just as unknown, sudden, and out of place as the anime's Tobias

If you are interested in Z/O, I would wait til Epsilon eventually releases. it's basically a full remake of Z/O but with newer essentials, better coding and lots of general improvements.

    4. seki108

      seki108

In that case, I'll definitely wait until then, if I ever want to play it/them.

  9. The closest might be Insurgence, though calling it 'similar' to Reborn and Rejuvination might not be accurate. It and Zeta/Omnicrom are the only big fangame I know are complete (aside from Uranium or Clover, but that is 100% fakemon).
  10. Well, I've tried thinking of a team for Shu Shirakawa (from the Super Robot Wars series---many timelines) ever since I followed this thread this morning. I tried either connecting them to his story/related characters or his mech's theme (Black Holes/Gravity/Wormholes), not completely his fighting style. I'm somewhat sure about the first 4, but not so much the other 2. Sadly, since Gravity is not a very useful move, whether a mon can use it won't be taken into account. Probably a mish-mahsed team, which is why I took so long to post. (I still had fun thinking about this, though, so I might do another SRW character's team soon). 1. (Mega) Gardevoir 2. Chattot 3 Golurk 4. Giratina 5. Talonflame 6. Bronzing
  11. And E4/Champion beat in Hard mode.  The one time I'll make an exception and have a Mythical/Legendary on my main team.

Going in, I wasn't sure whether Spirtomb, Lucario, or Garchomp would be the Mega, so Milotic through me for a loop. I imagine they just wanted to show off their own Mega evolutions, at the expense of Cynthia's premier mon.

    3. Dreamy

      Dreamy

might also be because mega garchomp is kinda bad, so mega milotic gives her team a better overall power boost, but regardless I agree wholeheartedly that it should've been mega garchomp.

I quote: If you wanna show of Milotic, get WALLACE! Mega Garchomp may not be as good as other mega's, it's still Cynthia's team. if any champ can handle that mega, tit's cynthia

In addition, wish you all the best for champion too!

Shiny Mew?!, haven't even seen that thingy.

Great, very great I thought it was impossible to get a shiny MEW.

    4. seki108

      seki108

Too many hours of soft-restting, which my last several status have been about (though I made sure to check their forums first before to make sure it wasn't shiny locked to begin with).

Now that I've gone back to beat all the V.R. trainers I skipped (went stealth mode for the ruins segment), I'll probably be trying the League soon.

  13. After god-knows how long, I finally encountered and caught a Shiny Mew in Insurgence!  I even got it in a Luxury ball like I wanted (though I wasted 16 in the process).  Almost got through all of Flip Flappers in the process.  And let it be said that I am never Shiny Hunting in a game that goes by canon shiny rates again.

If we had Cherish Balls, I probably would have used that kind, but oh well.

It was beyond frustrating, but I think I got fairly lucky overall.  I'm pretty sure I didn't even do 1,000 resets, but I have no idea how many I actually did (less than 2,000, I know).

  14. Finished Re-watching LWA (Asenshi subs of course) while soft resetting, so now I am watch Flip Flappers.  I was debating My Hero Acedemia, but I wanted to see that when I wasn't possibly distracted seeing if I got a Shiny Mew.

Also, comparing 13 episodes to 13 ep + a currently airing season makes a better track of time I am wasting (and when to give up).

I think this is a classic case of Sunk Cost Fallacy at this point, but I struggle on even knowing this.

Well, I finished most of Flip Flappers last night after another few hours of fruitless resetting.   How do people actually do this in canon games?

I wanted to save MHA for a time when I was fully concentrating on it.  Since I've grown less thrilled with most 'hero' things, I want to give the series my full attention when I watch it.  I've heard it subverts expections about the genre (like OPM did), so I'm expecting good things (and not to be let down like another supposedly good series  * glaring at Gundam Wing in the corner *)

I think that was the general idea of what you said, but just wanted to expand on it.  I just woke up, so hopefully it conveys what I'm trying to say....

You most likely won't be disappointed by My Hero Academia, it has humor, good action, a likable cast and someone who if I'm correct is based on Prince Zuko

  15. Glad I'm not the only one (though others seem to agree) that the 2003 anime had it's merrits. While I think 2009 (and the later manga) had a more structured plot and gambit pileups, I think I prefer 2003's ending because it's much more outright emotional and melancholy (or at least not as outright happy). Agreed. The episode afterword where Ed sees him waving from the train station always gets me.
  16. ........I mean, welcome to these forums. Out of curiosity, which version: the 2003 or 2009?
  17. Re-watched some of Little Witch Academia again while soft-resetting for a Shiny Mew in Insurgence.........Why make the shiny rate as unbearably absurd as canon games while still making the shiny charm still be available after completing the dex (after all one-time pokemon are caught)?

Hell, it's probably worse since there is not a breeding solution like the Matsuda method for the Pokemon that can breed.  And Pokepon is not a better soultion: it might have better shiny rates, but the inability to soft-reset and the 30 minute wait time makes it seem like a much longer process.

Granted, most of the old Pokemon still seem to go by canon shinies (if the sewage-green freebi Dieno is anything to go by), but so many decent shinies are behind this wall.....

  18. These two attack demonstration videos for the Royal Heart Breaker attack (SRW OGs) always make me laugh at how ridiculous the concept is (although the editing is top notch).

  20. The most out there I've played are Legends of the Arena (abandons gym system and replaces with a series of tournaments--might be similar to the Colseum series) and Super Pokemon Eevee Edition (which combines Final Fantasies's battle system into a Pokemon game). Can provide links in a minute, though googling is faster
