  1. I almost missed it, but there are still a few hours left. Have a happy birthday, and thank you for your work enriching this community.
  2. Will all of these event mons (holiday and otherwise) always be there? I'm just wondering if I should keep my current versions of Spork in case they will be removed in a future episode. I highly doubt it, but I just want to make sure. Now that I started Insurgence, it might be a bit before I re-start/continue Spork....not that I made it that far.
  3. Teleporter in the train station, after beating the last gym of the episode
  4. If you install the mod with the debug menu, you can change it.
  5. And now after 4 days of barely working, my touchpad is fine again.......

  6. More of a(n original) statement, but Fern is such a grasshole sometimes.
  7. Probably not, with how long it takes me to finish a run......Though when I started Reborn Hardcore, I found I couldn't maintain as much interest since I already knew the story. Maybe someday, especially if there is a major change.
  8. In Insurgence, is it better to evolve Delta Munchlax right away or better to keep it as a baby for a while?  (Also, I'm assuming the Book of Leaves item is only for later in the game).

Their level up moves are mostly the same except Delta Munchlax gets the following moves at these levels:
      41: Yawn

      50: Play Rough

      57: Leaf Storm

And Delta Snorlax gets the following at those levels instead:

      41: Block

      50: Earthquake

      57: Wood Hammer

So if you want Yawn or Play Rough, you should hold off until those levels. Otherwise, evolve it straight away.

Also the wiki has conflicting info about whether it can get Belly Drum at all as a Snorlax. It gets that at level 44 btw.

Yeah, the Belly Drum thing confused me when I looked.

Not really worth keeping as a Munchlax, but a little powerful for straight out the starter town

trust me, you'll want the power by the gym

  9. Might feel like playing a Pokemon game again.  Now I just have to choose between Desolation, Insurgence (chosen starter), or Spork (chosen starter).  Anyone that's played more than one have a suggestion?

Spork might be a good alternative if you're looking for something different story-wise. Also, Pheromosa is obtainable before the first gym

".......Sounds fun."  Seki108 said with every bit of sarcasm on the internet crammed in.

Well at least the rest of the game should be entertaining in some way or another.

@Zargerth Do you mean as a starter?  I already picked a starter for my 'main' file, though I did in fact reset for a decent Pheromosa on another file in case I ever want to coast the game.   Just to try, I also got a Ralts, but it can't win against anything, like I suspected.

      Zargerth

Well, yes and no. Iirc you can choose Pheromosa as a starter, but I found it in the southern part of the city. It joins you if you manage to defeat it (it's level 10). I chose Mimikyu as my starter so that Pheromosa couldn't harm me at all, since it knows only Normal- and Fighting- type moves.

  10. Reenter the sewer and go to where the portal to the mansion was. That should be the room now. Go there to activate a Venam event (and the TM if you didn't get it).

That was more for the few people who asked for a save with a jackpart starter and then just went on when I mentioned the one I had was for Jangmoo. Choosing Ralts over this is perfectly valid (since it becomes best mon).
  12. Metal version of Tetris's A theme?  Sweet!  :

      Raindrop Valkyrie

The intro is a bit drawn out imo, typically don't mind long form intros but with such a repetitive theme the intro being that slow feeling and drawn out feels a tad weak.

Once it gets out of that part though it's pretty swell. Lt does a lot to keep it interesting which can be tough with such a samey theme as this. ((thought there's a weird drum thing at around 3:47 l think doesn't work and wish wasn't there but minor gripe.)) lt's pretty good~ Dunno if l'd put it in one in one of my metal playlists but it was neat~ l appricate neat things.

No problem again! Enjoy the sound dragon (thankfully no fairy leader yet to pit it against). And sorry if the name Chariot bugs you

Pretty much why I just stuck to using Primarina's starter, though that was also because I've wanted to use Primarina since it was introduced. Still kept the file, since it was luck I got a jackpot starter after only 30 minutes (though it's likey the objectively worst one).

No problem. Enjoy your playthrough! Hopefully, you won't mind the name/avatar. It's definitely cute, though I did use Primarina on my only playthrough so far

Someone finally wants to use a save with this unpopular dragon? I've offered it to a few people, but they all want the more popular jackpot starters. At least I didn't keep it for nothing: Game.rxdata
  17. @10,000,000 Volt Aika!!!! I would quote you, but quoting is also bugged in this thread it seems. Anyway, just saying those links don't work (at least for me). Can you access them without being logged onto your account on the website?
  18. Well, my laptop's touchpad has finally gotten near unusable (though it's not quite there).....time to start getting used to the plug in mouse again.

Aren't touchpads always near unusable though?

It's been working for me for 6 years with no problems after taking about a month to get used to.  Occasionally (like once or twice a year), the jitter problem I am having now (mostly trouble having the cursor mover left) might pop up, but restarting fixed it.  After a few restarts over the course of  few days, it's still jittery and uncontrolable with the touchpad.

There was a time I would have said they were a bad idea, but I find them more helpful than dragging around an extra mouse. Probably just because of years of use.

  19. Storywise, I feel like Erin's would be the most 'canon' since it has the most neutral end, with you not getting the same info you would have gotten going with Florin (where he imiediately starts telling you Bladestar is the worst/the mayor is the best before finding out that Bladestar directly did the train indecent expecting civilian casualties---which helps his first point) or Flora (who probably defends her actions with other facts and probably rightly accuses the mayor---still have yet to see this one). Erin's whole point about getting the full picture and then deciding for yourself what to do just feels like the it would be the 'correct/canon' path, at least in terms of neutrality
  20. Note to self to at least try later, despite low chance of success:

  21. None of them play a role in ordinary pokemon Gameplay, so no. You can make an argument about them ruining competitive, but I don't think so in that case either. Also, in reverse order, you listed a scale of midigating-concern. --Breeding in general, even in Gen 2, allowed for a player to more easily obtain a low-encounter rate pokemon, which fits perfectly into the "Gotta catch em all" motto of early games (especially when trading was concerned). It also makes much more close to breeding (though no-consequence inbreeding is still a thing..........) --Egg moves (and TM breeding) started as a way to spice up move pools and to make you not be restricted by the 'one TM per game' rule. They are just a little bonus for those willing, and I've even done it one or twice in regular gameplay for an extra move. Not mandatory, but a full feature. --IV's (and probably nature, since it plays a part and can't be changed). As someone above said, this was originally intended to serve a making each pokemon unique. Even in casual gameplay, this might effect gameplay/performance, but it isn't gamebreaking. With the mediocre difficulty of most game (except if you did berserker/ no healing outsider center runs that my 7 to 10 year old self did......stupid embarrassing memories), you can make due. These values are pretty much only relevant if you play in Competitive scene....in which case, you have to adapt. However, Perfect Iv's are not needed to excel (though decent ones are) and it becomes more of a nature battle. (Unless I'm somewhat misinformed about the actual nature of competive play......mostly it's seocnd hand from others on here, so I could have misinterpreted some facts). So no, Pokemon itself was no ruined at all by these things (and only enhance by breeding). That being said, even I've jokingly said Competive Pokemon is basically Eugenics simulator......and it kind of is, depending on how far you go into it and how much time sinks in. Feel free to However, with Showdown existing, much of the work is taken out by reducing this to button presses and copy/pasting if you want to play a Competitive game without sinking in hours and hours. You still won't win without some level of strategy/teambuilding though.
  22. Back after some internet troubles.

In other news, finally I'm on stage 56 of SRW Z, where I can recruit/ re-recruit 5 characters (who I will only be able to use for 4 stages).  Although 'saving' might be the more appropriate term since 4 of these characters will die otherwise.   Time for the Z Gundam / Gundam Seed Destiny combined finale.
