Good job @Neco Amaria was certainly quite easy in Doubles in community release, as long as you had Grass types, which is your case xD I dealt with her in my Bug mono with my Scope Lens Leavanny using Razor Leaf and critting nearly everything to death. My Volbeat with a Prankster Sunny Day triggered Leavanny's Chlorophyll and took care of the Speed-halving issue. The others were easy from there. Also, I quite dislike the Reshiram route. Truth is sometimes the worst thing you can say, if it is said at a bad time (i.e. if your timing is bad). Which is the case here. What would be the problem with preserving Taka's lie? We'd keep a secret ally inside Team Meteor, increasing our chances of success. A double agent is such a better asset than an undercover ally. Also, Amaria would retain her sanity for the time being. Titania could battle against Team Meteor at Calcenon with Amaria accompanying all of us, and we'd be much more powerful. But drama queen Titania had to go "wah wah wah, truth>lies". Yes, even if it costs the lives of our friends and strengthens Team Meteor. What a dumbass...

The day that @Zarc will stop doing the opposite of me. That day the world will end. But why would anyone downvote Mew, it's the best of all mythical/legendaries, and the cutest too!

Voting for this one is getting harder and harder... Upvoting Chimchar, because its whole story in the anime made me sob start a new run in Reborn, solely to have it as my starter. Downvoting (only for this time) Froakie, just because of the Ash-Greninja thing. Bulbasaur: 23 Cyndaquil: 21 Totodile: 23 Mudkip: 22 Turtwig: 13 Chimchar: 8 Piplup: 18 Snivy: 11 Oshawott: 9 Chespin: 21 Fennekin: 10 Froakie: 10 Rowlet: 16 Popplio: 18 -
Mew: 20 Celebi: 18 Jirachi: 20 Manaphy: 20 Phione: 14 Shaymin: 20 Victini: 21 1) Why would anyone hurt Mew? 2) Why is Phione even on the list?

5/10. I don't like that kind of cartoons where the outlines don't exist. Feels rushed and sloppy on behalf of the artist. Gets 5 solely for the party theme (upside down coca colas on head, if I'm correct).

Might be out of tune, extremely high pitched and smug, but, for some reason I don't wanna see it go yet... On another note, it's so unfair that @Zarc closed the member hurt-heal topic before I had the chance to hurt myself.... I like it! Good job with recording, glad you figured out how it works. Only thing I don't approve of is the early EV trained mons... Tauros, Sawk, et al. are strng enough to breeze through early game anyways. Max EVs are an overkill...

Anyways, since we have male Gardevoir, I demand female Gallade too! -

Jess replied to Jess's topic in Onyx Arcade
By saying cleavage, I meant the green top's shape. Gardevoir is wearing a green top, that is obviously shaped as a deep-cleavage top! Also, ask 100 people. 99 will see it as a dress. You are blind if you refuse the fact that Gardevoir has only feminine attributes. -

It doesn't make it more reasonable... Plus, if you see their Megas, you can clearly see that Gallade is wearing a cape/robe and Gardevoir a dress... It is clearly the male and female aspects of the same pokemon, but maybe the designers wanted to pour in some LGBT-friendly stuff and made Gardevoir a mon with two genders... Inb4 everyone blames me for racism. -

It was a joke... I just think that Male Gardevoir looks out of place, since Gallade exists... If Gallade didn't exist, that would be a whole different thing... -

It really doesn't, let's be honest. It's not a robe, it's a white dress. And wearing a green top with cleavage. -

It's similar to Venusaur design-wise. I never really understood why Venusaur is Poison type as well, since it only learns Poison Powder by level-up, Sludge by breeding and Toxic (no big deal, everything learns it), Venoshock and Sludge Bomb by TM. But anyways, these are just opinions. I still think that Meganium would be way more relevant if it learned Mirror Coat too and was Psychic type. -

Jess replied to Jess's topic in Onyx Arcade
Meganium should be Psychic in my opinion just because of its disposition, Psychic type support moves and Pokedex entries about how its breath revives dead plants, how it's scent soothes aggressiveness, etc. Anyways, it deserves to be Psychic WAY more than Exeggute/Exeggutor. The only Psychic aspect of that thing is that it transforms from eggs into coconuts. -

In reality though, Blaziken is a discount Infernape... Infernape has superior design, superior moveset, better stats... Only worse thing is the ability. I understand why Incineroar is Dark type (it's a wrestler, and wrestlers tend to not fight fairly... let's pick up a chair and beat the referee now), but I don't like the repetition. I believe that this is the main reason that Fire starters are the least favoured by the public. Cause we have 4 fighter-oriented Fire types, which gets tiring. I also think that all starters' final evolution should be dual type. Typhlosion is the bloody "Volcano pokemon". Nobody knows why it isn't a Ground/Fire. Also, nobody knows why Meganium isn't a Psychic/Grass. Samurott a Fighting/Water. -

playthough From Everland to Reborn ~ A fairytale themed run [Last defeated: Amaria]
Jess replied to Candy's topic in Team Showcase
Come on @Candy, gimme more posts to upvote. I'm still cuddling my pillow like a maniac after seeing both Alolan-Vulipx and my absolute fav, Deerling! On a more serious note, good luck! -
@Zander That sounds like a good way of using Garchomp! And yes, it gets complimented by Spikes/Stealth Rock support. Helps it get those Outrage OHKO's. I checked, and Aqua Tail is taught by the Move Tutor on 7th Street. You have to buy all the 'mons there first though...
-
@Zander I didn't say anything bad... And, actually, the pic you sent says the same I told you. "Locking Garchomp into Outrage can leave it in a very vulnerable position". I doubt that it will be a move that the new AI won't be able to exploit. That's why I still believe Dragon Claw is (much) better. Or, you can do the Draconium-Z Outrage thing. You can also teach it Aqua Tail in Reborn via a Move Tutor at Agate Circus (I think). Or was it 7th Street? Well, I doubt you'll face many Tapu-Bulu's (or mons 4x weak to Poison in general in Reborn), that's why I suggested you altered it. @Azeria True about Fairies. But, I took for granted that he will use Choice Scarf, so, I doubt Iron Head/Poison Jab will OHKO. I'd take Iron Head over Poison Jab for the flinch chance. I thought that, even in Shift mode, Outrage doesn't let you swap out after a OHKO. I've tried it many times, in fact... (Just tried it again, Shift mode, E17, with my Arcanine, on Clown Indra. KO'ed Castform, then he sent in Amoonguss, I was forced to stay in. Shift mode doesn't nullify Outrages locking you in battle) Dunno about the PP max... I only know you can buy (I think) PP ups, or Pickup them...

Quote is (oh-what a surprise!) broken, so... @Zander "When there is a Fairy at full health"? Even if there's a Fairy at 1 HP, you can lose a fight by choosing Outrage. Outrage is no good competitively, because most teams will have a Fairy (mostly using them as Specially defensive walls). Now, when it comes to "I won't use it vs Skarmory or anyone when there is a Fairy" there are two obvious problems. One is being revenge killed, even if you use it vs a defensively weak pokemon and get one KO. Imagine a Clefble coming in and setting up Stealth Rocks, then Moonblasting you. Or a Klefki. Well, GG. Second problem is the fact that opponent can switch. Dragon Claw or even Dragon Rush are much better than Outrage. Also, like others said, Poison Jab isn't that good without STAB. And, if you want it to face Fairies, I don't see why you would even try to face Fairies with Garchomp (unless you run a Dragon monotype). Personally, I'd prefer Bulldoze over Dig for the time being. Even the current AI is clever enough to switch out vs this kind of moves. Unless you use Power Herb, which you won't, because you opt for Choice Scarf. But the Speed control is quite useful, till you get Scarf. I'd give your Garchomp a 7/10 at the moment. Losing points for Outrage, Dig, Poison Jab, the fact that Stone Edge isn't maxed at 8PP and (most importantly), cause it's Garchomp. The lovely dragon hammerhead shark that is a Ground type, but can Fly, dig holes, swim and is a complete overkill (biased when it comes to the 'mon, but my suggestions were genuine).
