Rules: (I'm too bored to write new ones, so I copied those from the type hurt/heal topic) Once a day, you have the ability to Hurt (You are evil) a Starter (and its whole evolution line) by 2 points and also heal (That doesn't make it okay) a Starter (and its respective line) by 1 point. Each Starter will start with 20 points and will be eliminated once they reach 0 so just remove them when they do so. Have fun! Bulbasaur: 20 Charmander: 20 Squirtle: 20 Chikorita: 20 Cyndaquil: 20 Totodile: 20 Treecko: 20 Torchic: 20 Mudkip: 20 Turtwig: 20 Chimchar: 20 Piplup: 20 Snivy: 20 Tepig: 20 Oshawott: 20 Chespin: 20 Fennekin: 20 Froakie: 20 Rowlet: 20 Litten: 20 Popplio: 20

@Dorcas on the perspective you explained, I agree, we should all lighten up and joke around in such a game, it's about enjoying it anyways. I just couldn't believe that I got blamed for playing "immorally" for cooperating with others and inviting my friends to vote and help . It was quite unexpected and frankly, quite ridiculous.

My fav two types on top though... It feels good
-
It's not petty, it's strategy. When all the Ghost lovers ganged up on Bugs (after your suggestion in one of your previous posts) it was OK, but the Bug type fans aren't allowed to defend the type they prefer? So, I guess strategy is OK only when you are the one who's favoured and petty if you aren't? It's a freaking game, strategy is involved. I said it a million times and I'll say it again, if someone wanted a strategy-less game, we could set up a strawpoll to see which type is the Rebornians' favourite objectively. Why we didn't? Cause interaction and strategy is the whole fun behind it! Besides, people used it in first place to kill Fairy. They based it on amazing argument, such as "slay the pixies", "pixies are OP and unbalanced", etc. And only a few people (Hycrox and Azeria) were actually providing solid arguments about why they disliked the type and/or considered it OP. Now, you have to define what's moral and what's immoral. So, messaging a couple of my friends who hadn't voted till then in order to assist against the (well-planned by Ghost/Grass fans) onslaught of Bug type was immoral? I didn't really target their heads with a shotgun and threaten them to vote, they have free will. I just asked for help. I'm the one @Alistair refers to, and it's nothing I consider immoral. In fact, I'm 10000% sure, that others have done similar discussions among the Grass and Ghost type fanbase. They are just hiding behind the morality mask and are too afraid to admit it. Strategy isn't something you should be ashamed of. This game was MADE with such a ruleset that promotes having strategy and cooperation! I don't usually reveal my strategy, until everything has finished. If I revealed it, it wouldn't really work anymore, would it? Plus, @Alistair knew nothing till today, when I joked ubout "bribing" a friend to vote up and help in exchange for me to continue one of my "in hiatus" runs (the Danganronpa rejuvenation one). I hardly bought him any cars/h00k3r$ call that a bribe, right? It was just a joke among friends and you took this tiny innocent thing and turned it into the 8th deadly sin. Calm down, Jesus Also, of course I wanted my fav type to win this. But I couldn't care less if Bugs won or lost. When @Alistair hurt Bugs in some previous post, I just laughed and told him "God damn it Alistair! ". Yes, I get competitive at times, I bet nobody else who played this game got competitive. Not the ones that slayed Fairy overnight, or ganged up and got Bug from 24 to 9 in 5 hours. I bet those things were completely unplanned and unscheduled from behind the scenes, and the people orchestrating those weren't competitive at all! End of rant, end of story.

1:30 AM in my timezone, so I can as well do it now... Bug: 6 Poison: 3

Congrats! It is a great victory, and quite a nice strategy you used! I guess Amaria was much easier, since you are literally the bane of her existence! Now... Magical Seed. +1 Attack. Swords Dance when protected... Another +3 (cause field). Stance Change... Another +1... Then Shadow Sneak. It gets to hit you with a STAB priority move at +5 attack, without having the chance to even touch it. In my Bug run I took care of it with Galvantula tanking after getting Baton Pass'ed a +3 Speed and +6 Defense by Scolipede and a +6 Sp. Attack by Volbeat. In my Poison mono... Well, Toxicroak Sucker Punch. Honestly, I think you can only safely counter it with Sucker Punch/Shadow Sneak of a faster 'mon. Or, with a good swap. In my original run, I sent Rapidash vs it. I've noticed it only Swords Dances up if it faces targets with super effective STAB vs it (e.g. Fire, Ground). So, I baited its Swords Dance and swapped in my Whimsicott. Huge risk there. Then, it was easy to stall it out with Prankster Encore (it kept Swords Dancing to eternity, since it was her last mon) and Leech Seed.

And to get back on track... Grass: 4 Ice: 5 Bug: 10 Poison: 8

I misunderstood what you had read. You're right about this, I'm sorry. I will just paste the analogy I used earlier in my status update, for everyone to see and get it done with. This game is similar to any sport, say basketball/football. Passing between players isn't a necessary thing to win by default in basketball/football. Theoretically, you can win by just having every player dribbling and scoring on his own, without anyone ever passing. But have you ever seen a team winning without that? Passing in teamgames is identical as strategy/teaming up in this one. Not necessary by default, impossible to win without. And, since others used it before me, I just used it too. And I had quite a lot of fun! Blame me if you want, but I don't feel like I ruined any game. I did nothing that is forbidden by the rules.
-
@Alistair You do realise that all those things you mentioned are strategies themselves. So, your first point ("even without strategies") is self-cancelled by your next statements. Any action that is dynamically changing based on some "factors" is taken by the process of thought. This process is called "strategy". If you just voted by which you like most/least, then it would have no strategy. Only way to achieve no-strategy to interfere in this game, is to make it non-interactive. Which is impossible. Edit: Sorry for the double-post... If a mod sees it, you can merge my posts... When I realised it, I had already hit save...

@seki108 With Amaura being in the top 4 of my favourite mons (together with Deerling/Sawsbuck, Vivillon, Mew), I like Ice quite a lot myself. It's a pity they aren't a bit better defensively... Design-wise, they are one of the best types though.
-
@seki108 So, I've been trying to understand... Which is your favourite type? I'm pretty sure Ice by now, but...
-
It isn't a game, it's war. Jokes aside, since there are no rules about teaming up, everyone can vote in whatever way he/she/xe pleases. And team up with whoever he/she/xe pleases. If we wanted to honestly see which type is the fav of Reborners, we'd just hold a strawpoll and get it done with. Strategy in voting is all the fun.
-
Same with me, I like all of the remaining types. That's why I am now happy regardless of which one wins! My preference is obvious, though! xD
-
True. Poor pixies got mass murdered. And they are so adorable...
-
I can confirm that. In fact, Anstane has probably been the only one who has played the game 100% "clean", without strategy or orchestrating the murder of one type. Having said that, I think that Poison made it to top 4 because it had the fewest "enemies" downvoting it. As it has been proven, for a type to win this game, it is more important not being hated by many than being liked by many.

Grass: 6 Ice: 10 Ghost: 6 Bug: 14 Poison: 11
-
Nah, he just made a mistake and voted using an outdated list. Azeria and I corrected it later
-
Well, Grass should have 7 too. So, the actual score is Grass: 7 Steel: 3 Ice: 11 Ghost: 12 Bug: 9 Poison: 13 Cheating Ghost lovers correct only what is on their favour... Damn pranksters!
-
Oh, Steel, Grass and Ghost lovers ganging up on Bug! Well, that's interesting! Pity that 2 of these are dead regardless xD
-
I think we can only get to the 10th Floor for the time being... Unless I'm missing a Sticker too...

Looking at the Electric/Flying Pom-Pom Oricorio, I am now sure that the Pokemon franchise artists are playing Reborn in their spare time. And are Julia's fans probably...

So, Julia now has no Blitzle? That's really a pity...
I'd rather see her having no Voltorbs, it's kinda redundant with her having Electrode as an ace.
