forgot to post but Vertigo (Gigalith) (F) @ Smooth Rock Ability: Sand Stream EVs: 252 HP / 80 Atk / 176 SpD Careful Nature - Rest - Sleep Talk - Rock Slide - Earthquake So I ran this 2 weeks in a row, so might as well explain both: week 6: so Gigalith gets a +20 stat boost to everything. Meaning, it now hits harder and is bulkier than Ttar, without the Fighting weakness too. So this not only helped with Zion's boosted special electrics, but also with things like Mega Camerupt if needed, and it gave some support to the team (some extra bulk thanks to sand, Cradily still really liked it tbh). Since Gigalith was better off going in and out, taking all dem special hits, hitting back hard usually, and Leftovers didn't quite cut it as recovery, not to mention Toxic, so I made it a pure wall. Eventually, it stalled out Quagsire since I managed to burn it with Incineroar. Coulda given it curse tbh, for real crocune hours week 7: another good matchup for Gigalith. Didn't really need to change the set since it did very well against Zodiac too. Walled P2, as well as most of their other special hitters, and this time, even though it didn't have the power boost, it had Sand Stream + Sand Force. So it hits twice as hawd. No switchins baybee. Also no burns bc Rest. And again, no toxic. Fun stuff. Still its main purpose was tanking, so ResTalk again.

PokeNations 3 Week 8: CHANGING OF THE GUARD Kept you waiting huh? Well now it's time, time for crime, for... SHIELD AND SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOORD Ok since it's something 3 fourths of you haven't heard about yet, Shield and Sword is an OM created by some loser who likes ponies, that only exists in the Reborn Showdown server (because the nerds at Smogon haven't yet experienced its greatness). So here's what happens: every pokemon's base offensive stats are swapped for their base defensive stats. So, Attack is now Defense, and Sp. Atk is Sp. Def. Take Skarmory as an example: its base Defense is 140 regularly, but in SnS, its base Attack and base Defense are swapped, giving our metal pigeon a base 140 Attack stat! Again, the same thing happens for special stats. HP and Speed remain untouched. Only the base stats are changed: so abilities like Huge Power still act on the new base stat of the mon in question. This may be a bit harsh at first, but it can be lots of fun! And it changes how lots of things work right away. Now, into our lovely general bans: Cloyster Stakataka Hoopa-Unbound Aggron Carracosta Slowbronite (Mega Slowbro) Water Bubble (water absorb Araquanid folks) Huge Power Omniboosting (not a tier ban, just your general Nations ban) Well these are just tier bans/suspects, but they apply to all nations. There are some specific bans to be revealed for matchups though. Take Celebi, for example: its base stats are 100 across the board originally, but in Tier Shift, its base stats are all 110! Here's how the changes work: Pokemon in OU/UUBL get nothing and they'll like it Pokemon in UU/RUBL get all of their base stats increased by 10 points Pokemon in RU/NUBL get all of their base stats increased by 20 points Pokemon in NU/PUBL get all of their base stats increased by 30 points Pokemon in PU and below get all of their base stats increased by 40 points But, if you're unsure, you can still check out any mon's base tiers on Showdown, by typing this in any room: /ts [the pokemon's name].
