Kuro's Team E16 Edition - Please Offer Suggestions!
FairFamily replied to KuroCovers's topic in Team Showcase
levitate and flying does not stop underwater, but on the surface field (water surface and murrk water) these pokemon are safe. Don't forget gengar is still getting slowed because gen 7 will come in e17 and gengar will get cursed body. Also if you want to deal with the field's slowing your only way to remove the field is to freeze it over with blizzard or generate a new field with a move like electric terrain. -
Kuro's Team E16 Edition - Please Offer Suggestions!
FairFamily replied to KuroCovers's topic in Team Showcase
My only problem with this team comes to mind when fighting Deliverance(Amaria's lapras) in an unfavorable field (any of the water fields INCLUDING murkwater). Freeze-dry, surf and ice beam are a serious threat especially when his entire team except the 4 times weak swampert, gets slowed. -
Guardians, I don't envy you. My only way to even see some chance is with battle position changers like stumbling, lose 1 turn and gravity axe grarl and attacking directly with shooting star bow ceal.

future episode spoiler/teaser compilation thread
FairFamily replied to FairFamily's topic in Reborn City
Ty, now I also know that I have to follow twitter. Not sure about the combat UI, I think I saw something similar in the past as a mod. EDIT: Found the mod: -
Yeah despair kinda steals the show, but it does work towards the win condition and protects it well, so I hope it can stay. March does protect against B.E.S own destruction meaning that supply squad is in contradiction but limiter removal on the other hand synergises well. Allure of darkness does not seem to work that well. it is basically the same reason it works not well with the pendulumgraph magician, having many dark monsters is not bad. It is only bad if you have too many vassal or tributes but that seems unlikely. If the deck was completely dark I would reconsider but no the chance of fixing bad hands seems small.

boss rush is a terrible card without the field spell, you have to build around it and it is not searchable. also you cannot normal summon or set. For wave motion, it is like I have all this obligatory defense to make my B.E.S not blow themselves up so I thought of adding a bit of burn to my deck as an alternative win con and between the dimension guardians, domain and march I think they have bigger worries then wave-motion cannon. Ties of the brethren in B.E.S a deck of different attribute monsters, also in this tournie it is limitted because too good.

basically you just decide who gets kidnapped. It also depends if you fought sigmund or not in the Yureyu building. It also comes with relationship value changes.

So rank10ygo launched war of the worthless: an online tournament based on his legacy of the worthless series. I was willing to participate with B.E.S. and I was wondering if some of you had some cards in mind. Right now I have a deck around tribute summoning (for the counters) with vassals and monarch support cards. The side deck is right now empty because I want to decide that based on the main deck.

Yes, just download episode 16 in a folder (it does not have to be the E15 folder) . rename your save to Game and place it in your save folder you might need to delete your other Game.rxdata. Then start the Game.exe in your E16 folder.

Death to glitch field. I do hate the field for how many laws are changed and that even the fundamental laws are changed. I do hope that the amount of times I see it is a little as possible. However making a single pokemon being able to destroy the field is not that much of a solution.

How would you describe Pokemon to a chess fan?
FairFamily replied to Yours Truly's topic in General Discussion
"Well pkmn is a game, where one gathers a team of up to 6 creatures to beat the opposing team with his own team of 6. Each creature has it's own stats, 4 moves it can use and an ability. Each turn the players choose a move which the outcome is dependant on the stats and abilities of the fighting creatures and a bit of luck. For each of the moves, abilities and stats the players have a set of options ,specific to the creature, in which the player can costumise in. So in order to win you have to understand your own team but also try to understand and uncover your oppenents and make your moves accordingly. So pkmn adds a layer of uncertainty which makes making predictions in the long term impossible making the game more dynamic and on the fly where as chess has a wider variety of moves and certainty of the outcomes results in the game revolving around long term plans." That is how I would explain the difference between pkmn and chess to a chess player. Attention computer science incomming Now for a computer this different. Chess is the easier of the 2 games. Chess is a finite game with perfect information. Every possible move is known and every previous move is known. The game will also end after a finite amount of moves. Do you know what also qualifies this criteria? tic-tac-toe. That's right chess is like tic-tac-toe but with more possible moves. And it is a lot more moves: Chess opens with 20, tic-tac-toe with 3 and it grows exponentienly after that. This amount of moves just pushes chess towards a problem that can't be brute-fored (check all possible boardstates) and they have to be a bit more creative but once chess is within the range of the hardware boom just tic-tac-toe. Checkers has been analasyd to the point that a computer can never lose. Pkmn however is a finite game with imperfect information. The computer does not know every move the player made so unlike chess where the computer knows in which state it is, with pokemon does not, which makes it conceptually more difficult. -
Predictions for Episode 17 - Unfinished Business

Nope, I choose a theme for my runs and stick to it. Also I don't raise a secondary team so when I swap out a mon (except hm slaves) it is "permanent". So the two teams of six in my signature are all the members. This helps me understanding my teams weak points and improving upon them with my new members, preparing for E4 and champion. It also means that if I carry a gimmick like perish song, destiny bond , endeaver, ... I carry it in all my challenges.

[Potential spoiler] Radomus, Anna and Noel theory
FairFamily replied to Wolfox's topic in Reborn City
First why the big letters. Second At first I thought that Radomus married however after rereading the interview I'm not so sure he was married. Still if Zina was not his wife who is she? Also the way Radomus described how his relationship with his soulmate ended, does imply how she left him and not him leaving her. -
Actually I think she refers to Shade as mr. Shadow. Shade and Anna share an interesting relationship, with Anna someho contacting Shade and Shade recommending her for her position. So this might be plausible. But if it is it would strongly imply has shade is male and probably would have been male considering she sees the 'truth'. Another part is that Shade is shadow by Anna vision which is basically darkness while the player character is glowing which could be considered light. The player character and shade being light and darkness would solidify this theory that the taciturn suited woman has been split in two parts, the player character and Shade.

I aggre with most of this however I'm not sure about the centuries part, years maybe a decade at best. Also I'm pretty sure Lin stayed for a while with Terra's parents as an adopted child. They might have "bonded" in a strange way. It is also Lin who introduced Terra and Lin is quite tolerant of Terra's antics. The timing of this adoption is however uncertain. The question is wheter it happened before she fell down the fairy ring or after. If it is after it might explain why Terra knows so much about Arceus, but before makes sense as well.
