[IC] Neon Exodus Evangelion Act 2 - Crossing
Yours Truly replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Ahmed threw one final barrage of cars at Asuka to distract her from his advance as he took several long strides forward before he leapt forward to claim Satomi's knife for his own and charged back towards Asuka with both of his progressive knives in hand as he yelled out "Stop being so reactive Sir Kay! Your mother's winning!," directly to the girl's comms. If he made it to this point he would focus primarily on fighting defensively and parrying or dodging Asuka's blows in an attempt to distract her for long enough to allow someone to land an actual blow on her.- 180 replies

[IC] Neon Exodus Evangelion Act 2 - Crossing
Yours Truly replied to Notus's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Ahmed decided that his initial plan of 'throw shit at Asuka to distract her while somebody else stabs her' was good, but that it was missing exactly one key component; namely that there was really no one in position to exploit that gap, which is why this time he picked up several cars and repeatedly threw them at Asuka to distract her while Beverly and Kyou did the actual fighting, and he tried his best to circle everyone else and approach whatever remained of Satomi's EVA.- 180 replies

The specialist was just about to raise his objections, to explain how he wasn't ordered to go here and how he still has no real idea about what the hell is going on here to the oddly dressed police officer; when Atton rather abruptly cut him off as he was in the middle of saying his first word with a commanding, "That will be all soldier!". Atton then turned to regard the two police officers fully before he stated, "This has always been a military operation! The entire house of Asterlux is not threatened with extinction by some gang or group of criminals, they are threatened by the combined offensive of a rival house and an invasion of extra dimensional entities called 'Servants', and the few soldiers the US military has chosen to send our way has been tasked with destroying the invading army and protecting the civilians present in the castle grounds of this backwards, backwards country by myself, Major General Richard Atton."

In the time between Halley finally walking up to meet the soldiers, Atton had already adjusted his uniform a little bit to look more presentable, had two M1 Garands and a Browning machinegun pointed at his direction, and managed to talk his way into convincing the newly arrived soldiers that he was neither a Kraut nor a Wop, and was in fact the highest ranking person on the castle's grounds that were affiliated with the good old US of A. This process was of course, greatly sped along by the simple fact that he was wearing the right uniform, had the right attitude, and was also offering everyone a smoke, a nice warm meal, and a slightly less deadly place to rest in. He was in fact in the middle of having a smoke with the crew of the Dies Irae when Halley arrived, and he pointed his cigar in his general direction and said, "Yes they are, the fine soldiers you see in front of you are all proud members of the 248th Engineer Combat Battalion...or whatever's left of it anyway," the three men in front of Atton acknowledges Halley's existence by nodding in her general direction, and the scotsman takes the opportunity to introduce himself by offering her a handshake and saying, "Specialist James Doherty at your service."

Pokemon in Space [IC Chapter #03]

Radovan offers up a warm smile to Jenny after the mess has been cleaned up, and he tried his best to sound reassuring when he said, "Well, out of all of the ice cream stands I have ever visited in my life, none of them were run by anyone as charismatic or beautiful as you are Jenny~, that and besides; you don't have to be a police woman to be an important person in someone's life...why don't you try and invent a delicious new ice cream flavor or something? iunno." He quickly noticed the presence of someone running up to approach the two of them, and in one swift movement he twirled around and patted the heads of both Cathode and Zeta before he identified the newcomer and said, "Oh hey there Emma~, it's good of you to finally join us!" -

Kaeso quickly gestures in Gael's direction with his still bloody morningstar as he glowered at Desmond and said, "You do realize that literally any of the Kenku here could have unlocked this door for us? And that the thief could have done so surreptitiously if he was urged to do so? Patience, you must learn to have it my child." He then slowly turned to face the Kenku and walked over to the more than slightly devilish looking woman and said, "I am a better guard than I am a carpenter, I will keep watch over the safe room as well." [IC] Tengoku no Owari CT, Chapter 1.2
Yours Truly replied to Empiricist's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
"Because it has grown on me over the years all right?" which was of course just begging for the old man to reply with a slightly defeated sounding, "Oh, you're already making puns about it, it isn't going away anytime soon isn't it?," this caused Immanuel to shrug slightly with a slight smile to his face when he said, "Not unless it gets burnt off," which the old man swiftly replied to with, "Don't tempt me." The old man adjusted his monocle a bit as he leaned back on his seat and picked a book up from the table, "So how is Marina doing?," to which Immanuel replied with a slightly confused, "What'd you mean?," the old man flipped his book open and started to leaf through a couple of pages as he said, "Well...she's been with you for the whole day right?." Immanuel's confusion slowly started to show on his face when he said, "Uhh...no? I just dropped her off this morning," the old man raised his right eyebrow in response as he said, "Oh really now? Well that's interesting." Immanuel gave his grandfather a bit of an odd look before he said, "How so?," to which the old man calmly replied with "Because I haven't seen her at all after you picked her up this morning, I thought she was with you the whole time... where did you say that you dropped her off again?." Immanuel decided to tell a little bit of the truth when he said, "On a rooftop of some building a couple of blocks from here, didn't catch the name," of course Adolf had a slight look to his face that suggested something about him not being able to believe what he was hearing when he said, "So when you said that you dropped her of-," he would have said more, but Immanuel decided to quickly interject by flatly saying, "I meant that I literally dropped her off somewhere." The old man stared long and hard at Immanuel for a few seconds before he said, "You know how dangerous that was right?," to which Immanuel replied with, "Well I wasn't the one who jumped down a fire escape." The old man stared longer and harder at Immanuel for a few more awkward moments before the younger man said, "What? Don't give me that look, I think she gets her recklessness from you," the old man shook his head slightly as he replied with, "I was never that reckless, couldn't afford to be; I think she's just used to being able to wish her way out of anything." "I seem to recall hearing you brag that you could talk your way out of any situation you can't punch your way through once," the old man chuckled a little bit in response before he replied with, "And look where that got me," to which Immanuel quickly replied with, "Straight to the CEO's table of a successful multinational chain of bookstores?." A slight smile appeared and just as quickly disappeared from the old man's face as he shook his head and said, "But only after five decades of hardship, and nowhere near where I imagined I would be by now," Immanuel had a slight frown on his face when he replied with, "Yes I know that you wanted to be a writer, I mean how could I not? You wouldn't stop talking about it when I was younger." "Because I thought that it was the most important thing I had in my life back then; even more than your grandmother..." Adolf trailed off in the end of that sentence as a slightly wistful look started to form on his face; causing Immanuel to try and bring the man back down to earth by saying, "I didn't think she minded that much, she was always very supportive of your dream, always spoken highly of it," the old man nodded slightly before he let out a sigh and replied with, "I think she saw something no one else did, always said that it was something magnificent and beautiful that needed to be shared with the rest of the world... even if it was actually shit." An awkward moment of silence passed before the old man leaned back on his seat and said, "I wish I could have lived up to her expectations sometimes, I think it broke her heart when I stopped...trying." Immanuel nodded slightly in response before he rather awkwardly tried to shift the conversation to a less depressing subject when he said, "Well...do you still... you know?," to which Adolf quickly replied with, "Write you mean," which was followed up by an equally quick, "Yes, that," the reply caused Adolf to sigh as he leaned back and said, "A couple of my employees are trying to convince me to write something about my 'success story' but I don't really know where to start." Immanuel's curiosity got the better of him as he asked, "And why is that?," and Adolf shifted slightly in his seat before he replied with, "Because I haven't done any serious work in ages, and I can't even think of a good name for it." A moment of silence passed before Immanuel decided to tentatively offer, "What about....my Blue Heaven?," Adolf quickly reacted to this by saying, "I said I couldn't think of a good name." -
(Theme) It was at this point that in a shadowy corner of the courtyard, far away from everyone else and the conversations that he didn't want to interrupt, that Atton was residing while he sat down in front of his copy of the good book and absentmindedly fingered his cross as he prayed to the lord for his guidance, his protection, and much more importantly his love. For Atton realized that one man, no matter how talented or strong, could have survived for naught but a moment in battle against the many demons of this age without the good lord's grace, and something sturdy to hide behind. Atton was of course quite conveniently ignoring the fact of Isobel's continued existence, but of course his mind, as intelligent as it was had already come up with a suitable explanation that was perfectly in line with his worldview, as she was obviously blessed by the lord with the presence of the snarky angel present inside of her humble tablet who serves as a shepherd to help guide her flock to safety and victory through the many trials they would face ahead of them. Of course her meekness, lack of physical prowess, and general lack of fighting capability also made perfect sense to him, for the lord surely works in mysterious ways if his present situation is of any indication.... and did he not promise that the meek would inherit the earth?. Of course all was not well in the holy man's heart as he prayed, for despite all of his faith, all of his displays of bravado, and all of his encouraging speeches; he found himself realizing that the person who needed encouragement the most were not the young and faithful woman he had the pleasure to work with earlier today, and the one who needed guidance the most were not the members of his slowly growing flock; for surely the faithful woman would have tried her best without his speeches, for surely his flock didn't need him to tell them how to best perform their assigned tasks. For it was him who needed it the most all along. He needed encouragement for in truth he himself was afraid, afraid of following the path he had set for him, afraid of being unable to fulfill the tasks he has been appointed to do, afraid for all of the people he had so carelessly abandoned when the Lord took him to that hellish plane of wrath. He needed guidance because he himself didn't know what he was doing here; among supposed deities and supersoldiers and magicians; among sometimes flying men and women who regularly broke the laws of reality as easily as he fired his service weapon. Yes he was a general, and they were fighting a war, but he was a general without an army to lead, and the war he's fighting is on a scale vaster than any man could fully comprehend; he could plan for an invasion of a city, a region, a continent, the whole world even! If the lord deemed it necessary, but what man could hope to plan a defense for millions upon millions upon trillions of worlds?. And most importantly of all he needed protection, protection from the many enemies he had made, protection from the many he will make, protection naught only from the bullet with his name engraved (Or in one particular case an entire squad of skeletons), but also from the ball of fiery death marked with 'to whom it may concern'. As he prayed for all of this, as he meditated on his past failings, and achievements; a long shadow slowly started to cover the area above him. Atton thought he heard a choir of angels sing above him as he quickly rolled away and yelled for people to get back to safety as part of an event that he would personally refer to as the twice fold miracle, the inhabitants of the 'Dies Irae' would call, 'A hard landing', and a nearby soldier would refer to as, "WHAT THE FUCK-SHIT?." For surely it was a sign of the good lord's grace that it was at that exact moment that all of his prayers were answered, for the lord had surely guided him away from the M9 half track before it could fall on him, for the lord had surely extended his protection when he allowed Atton to roll away from the vehicle in just the nick of time, and with the good book in hand, for surely it was naught but a sign of encouragement from the lord himself when the first words he heard coming from the occupants of the blessed vehicle came from a Scotsman, who only had this to say about the whole situation he found himself in. "JESUS CHRIST!"

Immanuel "Great, that's just...great," another awkward moment of relative silence passed as Immanuel shifted in his seat and checked his phone for new messages while his grandfather started to quaff some of the green tea like liquid present in his mug. The silence was finally broken when Immanuel, having become sick and tired of hearing the rather disturbing noises his grandfather was making, decided that this was a perfect time to say, "Well when are you free then?," which caused the old man to hold out a finger to signal that he needed a moment as he drained the remaining contents of the mug, and placed it back down on the table with a pleased sigh of contentment. "Well not anytime soon if you were planning on waiting, since unlike you I do have a social calendar, that and besides can't you just go to a gym or a dojo like everyone else does?," to which Immanuel could only reply by saying, "And get my ass kicked in a room full of sweaty and mostly male strangers?," this caused the old man to make an odd and inscrutable gesture in the air with both of his hands while he said, "Well if you'd like I could always se-," he was quickly cut off by Immanuel suddenly interjecting with, "You're just going to set me up on a date with a 'personal trainer' aren't you?." Adolf shrugged his shoulders a little bit as he replied with, "Well... I mean, if you were into guys then sure...are you into guys though?," to which Immanuel decided to reply by slowly and confidently stating that he is, "Not a homosexual, and also not shaving this mustache," and of course the old man quickly replied with, "What for? All of the nonexistent women it gets you?." (cont.) -
Solomon lets out a sigh and flops back on a nearby chair to try and nurse the bitemarks on his finger after the ring's magic decided to physically bite him in his second attempt to try and make it less of a hindrance. He turned slightly to get a better look at Spicy before he sarcastically said, "Well, that went well."

Immanuel (cont) An awkward silence seemed to pervade the air as Immanuel just... stood there for a few moments, I mean how was he going to say this? 'Do you remember that time where you offered to teach me how to not 'get my ass whupped by some kid with a blue belt'? Well guess who is finally taking you up on that offer'? 'I need you to teach me how to throw a punch because setting literally everyone I get into a fight with on fire will raise some troubling questions about my apparent pyromania'?. The silence was broken when the old man coughed and gestured at the seat in front of him before he said, "Well? Did you want to talk? Or did you just want to awkwardly stare at me from a distance just like in the old days?." Immanuel shook his head and walked over to proferred seat, "No actually, I mostly came here to see how you were doing, 80 year old men are not supposed to left alone after all, especially not in the cold and dark night." The old man had a bit of an odd smirk on his face when he rather confidently stated, "Well I assure you that all I need to do to fulfill my desire for...accompaniment tonight is to head to a certain...section of the library downstairs and show some of these Japanese girls what a real man looks like in bed." Immanuel looked a little bit uncomfortable as his mind naturally drifted towards a certain...subject, "That is actually disgusting." Adolf lifted up a mug of something that smelled of green tea with his right hand while he smiled widely and said, "You're only saying that because you are virgin," just before he tilted his head slightly to the right, shrugged his shoulders, and gave a half wink with his monocled left eye. To this Immanuel swiftly replied with, "I am not a virgin," which was just as quickly matched with, "But you act like one." Immanuel had a slightly annoyed look on his face when he said, "Just because I am not dating a woman righ-," but before he could finish, the old man quickly interjected with, "Doesn't mean that you're a virgin, I understand," this statement caused Immanuel to raise one of his eyebrows up in suspicion before he said, "Y-you do?," to which the old man slowly replied with an excessively serious, "I understand, I mean it only took you the better part of two decades, but I am glad that you finally decided to tell me..." the old man purposefully left a dramatic pause as his smirk widened slightly and his voice went flat, "That you are a homosexual." An awkward silence pervaded throughout the air once more as Immanuel's expression slowly but surely turned sour, "Did you...have to make that joke?," to which Adolf replied by gesturing at Immanuel's mustache with his mug carrying hand's little finger, "Did you have to grow that mustache?," Immanuel seemed to grit his teeth a bit as he said, "I think it looks dashing," and of course Adolf replied with, "I think it looks gay, and besides." He lowered the mug on the table for a little bit as he leaned forward, formed a tent using both of his hands, and poked his grandson's mustache, "You're a scientist, not Burt Reynolds." Adolf had an extremely annoying grin on his face as he started to slowly move the mug closer and closer to his mouth, causing Immanuel to awkwardly try to change the subject by saying, "Anyway, I didn't come here to talk about my sex life," which in all honesty was just an open invitation for Adolf to quickly reply with, "You mean your lack, of a sex life," which was met with a slight look of disapproval as Immanuel shook his head and let out a sigh before he said, "...yes," which caused the old man to chuckle a little bit as he said, "Knew it, you know that i have been dying to introduce you to someone right? I think she's downstairs right now actually, we could probabl-," this time Immanuel was doing the cutting off when he said, "No, I actually have something more important than women to do in my spare time these days," this caused the old man to affect a look of disbelief as he said, "Wait, I was actually joking when I said that I thought that you were coming out, are you actuall-," another, more stern sounding interjection followed in the form of a, "NO!. I came here because I needed you to teach me how to punch people," Rather unfortunately this was just waiting for the old man to affect a tone of indignation as he shouted out, "I AM NOT TEACHING MY 40 YEAR OLD HOMOSEXUAL GRANDSON HOW TO FIST PEOPLE, you should already know how to do that by now." It was at this point that Immanuel's palm flew up to greet his face as he let out an annoyed sigh and said, "Damn it, could you...not do that, in every, single, fucking, conversation?," to which Adolf simply replied by laughing heartily once more before he said, "Now, now, mind the language, would you kiss your mother with that mouth?," this elicited another sigh from Immanuel, "But I'll stop doing this when you get a girlfriend, which to be brutally honest, doesn't seem like it would happen anytime soon." Immanuel shook his head slightly before he tried his best to maintain his composure by saying, "Well it's not a really a priority for me right now," which elicited a surprisingly violent response from the old man, as he suddenly barked out, "WELL WHEN THE HELL IS IT A PRIORITY? The both of us aren't getting any younger over here." The old man firmly poked Immanuel's chest with tented fingers, "You're 35, and I'm 73 years old, and I don't know about you but I want to have great grandchildren before I die. Because most people don't get to do that, and when I arrive at the pearly gates, I just want to be able to sneer at everyone else whose grandsons and daughters couldn't quite make it. Also something about your happiness but who here really cares about that, certainly not you." Immanuel seemed a bit stunned for the moment as the old man leaned back on his seat and let out a sigh, "I just want what's best for you. Now tell me, when was the last time you went out with a..." there was a slight hint of hesitation present in his voice as his eyes quickly darted around the room, "Let's say woman, when was the last time you went out with an actual woman? And no, it doesn't count if it is work related." Immanuel swiftly recovered by shaking his head and saying, "Can we just...talk about literally anything else right now? Because I actually want you to teach how me to fight." Adolf replied by simply shaking his head and saying, "Well I can't help you there I'm afraid, I honestly don't have the time for it right now, you're not the only person who works on a weekday you know." Immanuel sighed for what was hopefully the last time in this conversation when he said, "So what you're telling me right now is that this was a complete and utter waste of time." To which Adolf's grandfather simply replied with, "Well that was an awfully rude way to describe talking to your grandfather, but yes." (cont.) -
It did not take long for Jun to obtain a sandwich from the inn, for obvious reasons that are related to how easily prepared they are and how much money she was willing to give to the innkeeper (as in, she was actually willing to pay for it). It took quite a bit more time for her to reach the bus itself, and she was quite surprised by how peaceful and quiet the trip over there was....almost a little bit too quiet, but she soon found out that her paranoia was unwarranted as she just...walked up to the bus and entered through the door the way a normal person would have. Although granted, a normal person wouldn't have practically materialized in thin air in front of the door before they opened it. Tattletale turned slightly in her seat to greet Jun with an obviously sarcastic, "And what did you wanted to find out this time?," causing the LED's on Jun's face to light up in the form a warm smile as she hands the other woman some fresh food; before she sits down on a nearby chair and says, "Well was it that obvious?." She slowly takes off her helmet to let her hair breathe a little bit before she smiled at Tattletale again and asked, "I mean I did promise that I would check up on you every day right?," she then coughed before she went on to say, "But anyway I also came here because I wanted to ask, do you....know where a floating island would be located? The Dryad who prophesied our coming said that they would hold some artifacts that would be of interest, and I happen to know two other people who would be very interested in reaching one, and do you happen to know if the meteorite shower would bring anything of value with it? And if one would fall close enough to the village to be something we should worry about?". Tattletale takes the food and thanks Jun quickly before she listenedto the woman's questions. "Well you're in luck. There is a group of several floating islands directly above the village right now. I'm not actually sure on the meteorites though, it seems to depend on how many 'powerful creatures' are defeated between now and then. Make of that what you will. Also I wouldn't suggest getting to close to that other ship, the kid who landed it brought a trained sniper with him to guard it and I really don't want to hike all the way up that hill to tell them about your dead body." She opened up the bag and pulled out the sandwich. "Oh, sliced goat, nice." Jun nods in affirmation after she heard Tattletale's replies, and she spent a few moments to just..watch the other woman eat the sandwich as she tried to think of absolutely anything else she could ask, "Well thank you for your help and the warning then, but anyway you don't happen to... know if anything particularly wrong is going to happen with a certain rapier that is currently being crafted in the town right? Just curious. And uhh...do you have any particular requests for tomorrow? I am pretty sure that they have something other than slide goat and sausages in that Inn" Tattletale looked up from her lunch for a few moments as she pondered the answer to Jun's question, and she shook her head a bit as she said, "Nothing off the top of my head though..." a slight wince is present on her face for but a moment before she quickly continued with, "oh that one's going to give me a headache. Yeah I'm leaving it alone." The sarcasm was audible in Jun's voice when she replied with, "Well that's certainly encouraging," and she slowly put her helmet back on as she continued with a hopefully encouraging, "But anyway I'll be back here soon with everyone I could muster for a trip to the floating islands, and I'll try and get someone to make a way to talk over long distances somehow just in case one of the few monsters that can break into the bus gets a little bit too close for comfort. But until then you should just...keep doing whatever it was you have been doing to survive out here. Take care." She then slowly got up, and walked towards the exit before she ran towards the direction of the town as quickly as possible, and she idly waves at the general direction of Lucille and her pets as she passed them.

The youngster performed a slightly awkward salute in response with an odd look of admiration on his face as he shouted, "TAKE CARE JUSTICE SQUAD!!!!" and performed a super hero pose in exchange as the group walked towards parts unknown. (2) Aster was quite sure that they were heading through a shortcut to the Shrine itself as he led them off of the beaten path and walked towards the east for a surprisingly long amount of time... and it isn't until they reached a small and well maintained wooden cabin located near to the shoreline that the three of them realized that they were heading the entirely wrong way. Strangely enough their Xtranceivers seemed to report a complete and utter lack of a signal, rendering them unusable as anything but a fancy watch until you find your way back to civilization. Incidentally the time is now 13:21 PM, the three of you appear to have walked for half an hour. (11) Rather unfortunately for Horace, his 'revolver' seemed to have really gotten into his role as a deadly weapon a little too much as it fired a warning shot into the air that lowered down a bit of harmless rubble down onto the crowd, causing them to quickly disperse and get the hell away from 'the pair of deranged and more than slightly unstable maniacs that shot a man for no reason.' The suspect tried his best to shuffle away from Horace while his attention was momentarily spent on the fleeing civilians, but he quickly complied with the armed man's demands and slowly raised up his wounded hands and whimpered a tiny bit. It occurs to Horace that he should have brought a pair of cuffs for this. (8) It took an unsurprisingly short amount of time for the woman to locate her partner, all she needed to do was move up the stream of people heading away from the place she last saw him after all, and she wondered what fresh hell would await her when she walked into the market square where it all happened. She quickly noticed the flaming stalls and her eyes simply followed the trail of oil that led all the way to her partner Alan; who seemed to flicker in and out of existence a bit as the members of the crowd tried to run past her. She let out a sigh after she realized that she would have to be her partner's knight in rusted armor once more, and she exploited the momentary gaps in the rushing crowd to try and conceal her presence as she quickly rushed towards Horace with a white and red Pokeball in hand, and a deadly look in her eyes. (5 v 3) Horace, it took you a while, but you managed to spot a rather angry woman in a black blazer with an R symbol emblazoned on its right breast rushing towards you with a Pokeball in hand, what in the hell do you do now?. (2) Elias, you are just so fucking lost right now through all of the twisting alleyways that you just...decide to cool off for a moment and try to wipe away the mace in your eyes before you try to find Horace once more. (2) There was one problem to start with, for one thing you hadn't noticed it earlier because you were running, but the suitcase feels a lot... lighter than you'd think it would be, so either the metal case and its contents were remarkably light, or it just wasn't there anymore. The second thing you notice is that someone seems to have worked over the lock pretty well, the suspect was rather good for being able to break open a lock of such complexity, but they left some rather obvious looking toolmarks on the surface that causes you to believe that it was opened rather forcefully. You only noticed the third thing after you finally cracked open the case, there was a manila folder in there yes, obviously full of important documents you are not supposed to read (Although you do recall hearing Professor Oak say that there would be more than one folder), but the thing is your first instinct was right. There was no silver case.

Jun took a short walk around the perimeter of the city after Satomi rather abruptly finished their conversation, and she walked back to the forge soon afterwards to check up on how Leo and Toshiro were doing, and possibly invite the both of them to a short jaunt over to the bus and the islands in the skies. She literally took one step inside of the smithery and got all the way to opening her mouth and saying, "So how is it-" before a bolt of agonizing black lighting struck her and left her flopping on the ground like a fish while saying 'GHGRFHALBLRBRGHLL' for the few moments it took for Kusuke to recall her to a time where she wasn't involuntarily doing the worm. She quickly dusted off her cloak out of a force of habit before she thanked Kusuke with a quick, "Thank you for that." Before she turned around to face the two crafters doing their work before she slowly walked back a couple of steps out of the smithery while she said "Well I guess I'll leave the two of you to it then! I'll uhh....go out and meet Tattletale for now then." She then quickly turned around and ran the fuck away from the smithery to get food from the inn before she headed off to hunt down the one person who could presumably make finding a sky island a trivial matter.
