    I finally managed to defeat Tristan, but man did it require hax and A.I. exploits. To be honest I don't know how you're supposed to beat that guy without resorting to such underhanded tactics. I had to switch battles to Shift as well just to land Will o' Wisp on a nasty surprise of his. I know the gym leaders in this game aren't supposed to be easy, but Tristan is brutal. I guess I was ill prepared for the battle, did anyone else find him hard?

    I reported this very same bug yesterday, so he already knows about it. You have to either go back to Version 2 and fight the grunt or wait for Version 3.1 to come out.

    Wii U version. I haven't played the 3DS version after I managed to destroy my previous 3DS' circle pad.

    I never change/ break Serra's field. I didn't even know it was possible in the first place. Maybe I should spend more time reading about the field effects, but that takes away half the fun for me.

    I prefer to use Klinklang versus Noel. Klinklang can set up with Shift Gear (and if you have Plus - ability, Magnetic Flux increases it's defenses) at the very beginning of the battle. You can catch Klang in the railnet tunnel.

    I'm not a big fan of fan-made Megas, but I still voted for Mightyena. If there will be a Mega Mightyena, then I might consider not replacing my Mightyena later on.

    Will do! Eruption will be so good even if this field is used in a double battle.

    I was playing Smash 4 like at 7 in the morning, working on Bidou Tech. So I guess today I learned to perform some techniques more consistently.

    I agree with Viri, I'd like to know more of the villains (or antagonists, afaik there is a difference between these two expressions). By the looks of it, there are cards yet to be played, so to speak.

    Sigmund might be related to Lumi and Eve somehow. Iirc Lumi mentioned a doctor in her diary. That doctor could be Sigmund.

    I guess Carbink is there so you have something (more) against Keta or something, although a peek at Carbink's level-up moves reveal that it's not all that helpful. It learns Stealth Rock (which might be it's best move for quite some time) and Reflect, but other than that it seems useless against him.

    Perhaps, but that would mean there's yet another death/ "death" in the game. Unlike the others, this one wouldn't be shown in Shade's gym. Pokemon have wounded people before, so that much can happen without it messing up Shade's insight or prophecy or whatever it should be called.

      As much as I love the original Country games, DK64 is truly one of the greatest of all time.

    Iirc the field effect lowers the speed of Pokemon that can't Levitate or aren't Flying or Water types. I believe you can catch Dustox there, it can set up a Light Screen, Valarie's Pokemon use mostly Special Attacks, so it might be worth a shot. If Nincada is still available there, catch one and get yourself a Shedinja. It can be defeated with status ailments and super-effective moves, but afaik her team doesn't have that many of those.

    Yeah, I ended up here after watching Shofu's Let's Play of Reborn. I was like "this game can't be that hard" or "I can do (better than) that" and the next thing I knew was that I was playing Reborn and having a blast.

    Gooey Muk Regigigas with, I dunno, Klutz? Slow Start is one of the worst ideas ever, but I don't wanna go with something that would make Regigigas broken like Huge Power.
