  1. It should be the S- key. I don't know the exact cause either, the running speed was increased in Version 3.0.2., so I suspect there's a connection between the increased speed and the bug. If you go back to Version 3.0.1., make sure to toggle running off before doing so. Otherwise the increased running speed and the bug carry over.
  2. There are several crystals scattered across Silver Forest (similar to those in Silver Rise). Interact with all of them, they're a part of an event/ sidequest that takes place there.
  3. Are you playing Version 3.0.2.? If you're, it has a bug that causes wild Pokemon to knock Pokeballs away if you have running toggled on. Toggle it off and you should be fine (as in walk, don't run if you want to catch Pokemon).
  4. Similarly, Gardevoir, who in my opinion outclasses Mr. Mime, is already available unlike Mr. Mime. I think Caz has his reasons, though. On the other hand, I'd say that competitive viability is not the only factor taken into account when decided which Pokemon are available (and when they are available). Galvantula has Sticky Web going for it (and should you have Choice Scarf or just EV train it's Speed) you can pretty much always set Sticky Web in Gym Leader battles. However, I recall Caz saying Double Battles are becoming more frequent from now on.
  5. I have never got a Joltik from the machine, so I don't know about that one.
  6. I just found out that some changes to the Pokemon Dispenser Machine have been made in Version 3.0.2. (is this the machine from beta?) It costs 20 Credits now, opposed to previous 22. Some of the rewards have been changed as well. Edit:
  7. I cut some of your comment in this quote, as I am referring to this part only. I'm no expert of politics, my knowledge of it is rather limited. Still, here's my two cents on this question: The Greek philosophers said that "democracy is the best option out of bad options." I'd say this means that in democracy the pros outweigh the cons. Is democracy really the best system of government? Those who wish to get elected do everything in their power for that to happen, even give false promises or outright lie. Is a system of government even needed? Is dictatorship doomed to fail? Many of history's notorious people are dictators, but is it possible for a dictator to remain reasonable? I prefer not to make predictions of future, like I said my knowledge of politics is (ironically) not that good. What I can say is that I have somewhat conflicting/mixed feelings: on the other hand, I'm starting to lose faith in democracy. Then again, I don't have it worse; I don't know what's it like to live in, say, North Korea. I don't know what a better system of government - in the long run, that is - would be like either.
  8. You can't get to 7th street yet. Some events of the story take place there later, you will be informed of it.
  9. What is this, Attack on Coffee? Each to their own I suppose, but saying drinking coffee is a disgusting habit is, simply put, an overstatement. An unnecessary one at that. I personally find energy drinks - by using your words - pretty damn disgusting. Somehow they managed to add ridiculous amount of sugar into water and make it taste horrible. Speaking of taste, I don't drink alcohol that often and not many kinds of alcohol. I still can't stand wine, especially red wine. To me it already smells god-awful, yet you're supposed to drink it? What do you mean when you say you drink alcohol for the effect and not the taste? I mean, from what I've seen there are two types of people who drink alcohol: those who drink responsibly, and those who don't. The latter ones I cannot understand. While our tastes differ, I'm not judging you based on what you like to drink. I hope you don't do that either.
  10. I didn't drink coffee regularly / daily when I was younger. I can make only filter coffee with my coffeemaker, so I voted for filter coffee, it's what I drink the most often.
  11. Based on my impressions so far, Popplio. I'm not a big fan of Rowlet (just look at how good Noctowl is).
  12. You need to train more Pokemon. There are several Poison-types such as Koffing, Ekans and Trubbish and Fire-types like Slugma and Numel. Trubbish can use Toxic Spikes, which poisons all of her Pokemon (except one) upon entry. Koffing can't be hit with Sand Tomb, but might lack power compared to Arbok or Dustox's Venoshock. Because her Ferroseed is also a Steel-type, any Fire-type move will destroy it. That's why I prefer to have at least one Fire-type in my team against her. Her Cradily is bulky, but also weak to Fighting. If you need a Fighting-type, Hariyama is your best bet at the moment (Makuhita can be found in the slums).
  13. This argument is either overly simplistic or I cannot follow the train of thought behind it. Why would you bring up dog breeding? From what I understand, it's more about "genetic customization" than "eugenics". Eugenics has two goals: to strengthen the pure/better pool of genes (positive eugenics) as well as diminish/get rid off worse/contaminated pool of genes (negative eugenics). I don't see modern dog breeding doing either, it's done for aesthetic reasons. You see, many dog breeds today suffer from illnesses and infections their ancestors - for the lack of better word - didn't, or at the very least, modern dog breeds are more likely to get ill - this is a direct consequence of dog breeding. You can still support dog breeding, though (even though there are dishonest dog breeders as well, like puppy mills). I did mention "eugenics as a whole": while it can be argued whether dog breeding is eugenics or not, eugenics aren't limited to dog breeding only. In fact, I believe it's most often associated with people. I don't think dog breeding and people breeding are (directly) comparable. Sex/breeding is a choice, I agree. However, for the sake of it let's assume that a community of 100 people decide they won't breed. Assuming that they lived up to this, the whole community would eventually disappear. This can happen with families as well. Everyone can choose (at least in theory) whether they want to breed or not, but not doing so could eventually result in the whole family dying. If done because of eugenics ("I have bad genes, I won't breed"), this could be seen as voluntarily killing off people with worse pool of genes. Edit: I forgot to mention that deciding not to breed can't really be considered "ethically dubious". However, segregating people because of their genes can be considered such. Let's say in my family there's an increased probability to get some sort of cancer. Should I be allowed/not allowed to breed, even though I carry a worse pool of genes? I would very much like to see the day I could go and pick genes for me and my children like I was grocery shopping. I just think that's not how it works, even if it was possible. I could be way off here, but like I said, I found it difficult to follow the train of thought behind your argument.
  14. Don't feel bad, procrastination is just another form of intelligence.
  15. Eh, I can't see how anyone would support eugenics as a whole. Killing off people with (minor) undesirable traits is dubious from an ethical point of view. To me this seems to be the "only the strong survive" type of mentality. What kind of genetic manipulation did you have in mind? I mean, as long as it's done in order to cure diseases, I can't see any harm in it.
  16. Caz fixed that issue in 3.0.1, I imagine it should remain fixed in 3.0.2.
  17. You know what would be cool? A trainer (since there already is Electric-type leader) with all of the Rotom forms.
  18. From what I understand, it happens if you talk to the woman in front of the gym, then decide to do something else (and save & quit) before going to her house. The woman disappears from her previous spot near the gym- she has gone to her house. However, the bug causes the house to remain locked. For the story to progress you need to talk to her in her house. If you immediately visit her, the bug won't occur.
  19. Where was the Water Stone again? I can't remember.
  20. I have a folder dedicated to Pokemon fangames, so I just place the files there (and delete the versions I don't need anymore). Your save file should be intact.
  21. Fair enough. Time to play the waiting game. Also, keep up the good work.
  22. Well, that's good enough for me. Say, have you thought about some leaders doing Double Battles? And why Mime Jr. isn't in the game yet? I mean, you can get Gardevoir, but not Mr. Mime. Sorry if I barrage you with questions - I have too much time on my hands.
