If you haven't found a Fire Stone by mining rocks, you can buy them from one of the kids in Lost Camp.

Pokemon Rejuvenation Viability Rankings 3.0 [Community WIP]
Zargerth replied to Lord Chespin's topic in Rejuvenation
Trevenant for B rank + Phantump is obtainable after 4th leader - you need a Gourmet Treat!- (as of version 7, night time only), which can be evolved as soon as you find a Link Heart + while Frisk and Natural Cure can help you out, Harvest is the best ability to go with... +...since you can buy Sitrus Berries, so Trevenant is likely to live long + can cripple physical attackers with Will o' Wisp + also learns Leech Seed and Horn Leech (heart scale needed), both moves supply Trevenant with HP - lackluster speed - isn't all that bulky - isn't that versatile- 96 replies

I know about the Weird diary which is needed for saving the Dimensional Rift Pokemon such as Garbodor, but there is another diary in there. While you're reading it, someone (who looks like Madame X?) comes to take it away. Is it required to read the other diary -the one you can't take with you- as well before you're able to save Garbodor? I haven't tried leaving that diary alone, since it might be important (because you're not allowed to read it through).
-
Does anyone know if reading (or not reading) the diary- the one that will get taken away -in the locked house has any impact on the story?

I don't mind low IVs on stats that don't matter (like Heracross' Sp. Atk). Usually I reset for a good nature and/or overall good IVs, around 20+ or so. If the IVs are good but the nature is hindering like Modest Heracross, I'll take it. I can always change the nature later.

Trainer class: Firebreather (or if there aren't any in there, then Hiker or Pokefan) Name: Milit Owns: Magmar, Torkoal and Heatmor Before battle: "Feel the fire of war!" or "You must be hardened with fire!" When defeated: "Oh my goodness, this is awful!"

In your opinion, what is the hardest battle in reborn (yet)
Zargerth replied to Nivircity's topic in Reborn City
El's Arceus or Ciel. Aya was pretty difficult too, but at least I managed to beat her without too much hax, which can't be said for the Arceus battle. The first time I fought it I managed to beat it only because it missed 3 Focus Blasts in a row. I used my Golem's Earthquake, the cave collapsed and Arceus fainted, my Golem didn't because it has Sturdy. -
This is me. Except that sometimes when I lose a close match (especially if the opponent makes a comeback) I feel robbed, robbed out of my win. I probably should compliment my opponent for their skill, but I can't shake off the feeling that "I had that match". I consider myself hardcore gamer: I play several kinds of games, aim to improve at them and thus spend a lot of time playing games. I like to consider myself "a pro" at Monster Hunter series after spending at least 1000 hours on each since Tri. It's also something I - in a way- am proud of. I guess I'm also competitive, since I don't like losing and put effort into getting better and better at the game. I think that's what might have gotten me into playing Reborn as well: I was watching Shofu's Let's Play, and more than once I found myself thinking: "heck, I can do better than that" or "doesn't look that difficult imo". Then I finally decided to download the game. Now I have played through the current version three times.

Mine is a gamer tag of sorts. It's also my Nintendo Network ID.

Dark or Ghost. I guess my gym puzzle would literally be a puzzle. The only visible room before solving the puzzle is an entrance room. That's where you have to solve the puzzle before being able to move on the gym itself (which is the puzzle you just solved). The actual gym consists of a maze with ghost trainers (if my gym was Ghost-type. If not, then there are trainers waiting at dead-ends or blocking paths, forcing you to find another way). My Ghost-type team would be: Cofagrigus: prepare for some Toxic Spikes Trevenant: Harvest combined with Leech Seed and Horn Leech Aegislash: King's Shield, Swords Dance - you know, basic stuff Dusknoir: Trick Room, perhaps some Power-up Punch and Shadow Punch/Sneak action as well Spiritomb: Hopefully going to hit extra hard with Hex Jellicent: Recover, Trick Room, Water Spout... Something like that. Simply put, the team consists of Pokemon that are bulky or can recover health while leeching yours. Then there's the poison to worry about as well. Basically, the longer the battle lasts, the worse are your odds to win.

Nope. However, Trubbish can, and is easy to find in the alleys.

Maturity is when you can look after yourself the best you can. If I said only the "look after yourself" -part, that would by definition mean that handicapped people couldn't be mature. I'd say that thinking on your own, being able to form opinions on your own without anyone spoon-feeding them can be seen as a mature trait. Taking responsibility for your own life like paying bills or whatever, and choices. You start to gain "insight" on various things and how they work, insight on life. In a way some Pokemon games already do have somewhat mature content, like Black & White imo. Funny, I'm a bit over 22 years old and I think I know what "maturity" is.

Growlithe + Quilava in that gym brought out my inner pyromaniac.

You could try Steel or Water-types. IIRC Flash Cannon and/or Mirror Shot benefit from the field effect. Camerupt is slow and doesn't resist Ice, so you need to be careful, since it can get OHKO'd should Serra's mon get a crit. As for Steel-types, I do believe Magneton, Klingklang and Mawile are available to you. Mawile has low HP and Special Defense, so it may not prove so useful as the other two. Maybe Thick Fat Hariyama might help? I personally found this gym one of the easier ones in the game minus the evasion buffs/hax, which was the primary reason I had to retry. Then again, I pretty much always had either a Fire or Fighting-type in my team or both.

Triple and Rotation battles, unless they are impossible or too time-consuming to implement. What if you could decide the format for each Gym Leader battle, like how you choose Single/Double/Rotation in GameFreaks games in Battle Tower or Chateau? This would, however, remove the "Leader's preference" aspect and replace it with the "challenger's preference", not to mention it adds lot of extra work. I mean, if you battled Charlotte or Aya in Singles, Heat Wave and Sludge Wave are less of a threat, thus potentially making the gyms easier. Jobs/Tasks would be nice, but then again they kinda already are in the game. You just don't need to go to a separate building and accept/report them.

Field effects, next level of changes suggestions
Zargerth replied to Zane0144's topic in Reborn City
I think Shade's gym is just fine, Magneton can light the place up and get its Flash Cannon buffed, not to mention it's Electric-type moves are buffed either way. Nature Power is also pretty handy there. I didn't bother doing anything to the field effect in Luna's gym, since it doesn't seem to buff Dark-type attacks. If you have Heracross in your team, you can sweep her entire team with Megahorn and Close Combat (and Rock Blast), especially with Moxie boosting its Attack. If anything, Luna's field needs a buff, something that slightly nerfs Fighting-types, like :"Your Pokemon can't see in the dark..." or whatever. The idea is that the Fighting-type mon can't attack her Dark-types with their full strength and thus deal less damage. I've always found the Poison-type leaders the most difficult, because Corey's gym's field effect hurts your mons a lot, and you can't use Ground-type moves at all against Aya. I'm unsure what moves, other than Poison-type and Power Whip get buffed by the Wasteland field, but neither one of those can be used against her. I don't know if it can be changed or removed, haven't figured it out (I haven't checked out what the field effects do, I find it more interesting that way). Honestly, the field effects are fine and make more sense than the ones in Rejuvenation, imo. I'm curious about the new field effects yet to be seen. I mean, how to strengthen the Dragon-type moves, other than with the Arceus' light seen in the cultist's dungeon? I can't see that one being used in Saphira's gym. You can set the field on fire and have a huge advantage over him. -
Well, in that case she apparently won't be the Champion. I really can't see Anna, or El being there either, though.
-
I picked: 1. Girl character + Cyndaquil 2. Non-binary (I hope that's the right word) character + Chikorita 3. Boy character + Totodile
-
My guess is: E4: Bennett El Anna Heather Champion: Ame
-
I agree with Jaromir about Florinia. She just can't do anything to Fire or Poison- types, apparently. Fern is much more difficult.
-
What mons do you have in your box? Any particular mon in Shade's team that gives you trouble? Noibat is imo outright useless there, so don't bother using it. Magneton can make good use of the field effect, so I'd recommend using one. Fire-types are good for taking down Doublade and Trevenant, so you might want to use your Growlithe for those. If it's not powerful enough to one-shot them, you could try evolving it or using Pyroar instead - it learn Flamethrower at level 38.

No psychic types. Not having fun w/ Kiki. Help!
Zargerth replied to Caraboo's topic in Team Showcase
I have never used Psychic-types in this battle, and I have 3 Reborn save files, one for each type of starter and character. In my first save file I just swept through her team with my Typhlosion -Eruption is super powerful! Fyi Nature Power turns into Meditate there, so you can get some nice attack buffs if you use Pokemon that can learn it. The only Flying-type Pokemon I have used in this battle was Murkrow. I honestly prefer bulky and hard hitting mons like Donphan, (or Nature Power + Reflect + Petal Blizzard Meganium) because of the fact that many of Kiki's mons know Knock Off or Rock Slide, meaning that you most likely won't steamroll her with Psychic or Flying-types. As for Aya, try Gastrodon. Seriously, that thing can take hits surprisingly well, and since Aya also uses some Water-type moves, Gastrodon gets powered up if it has Storm Drain. It can learn Recover at level 46, so just feed it a couple of Common Candies and you are good to go. Some of her Pokemon do know Grass-type moves, so beware those if you use Gastrodon. -
As already mentioned, Swalot and Hariyama are both great choices for that gym. Toxic Spikes activate Breloom's Poison Heal, so you (or your friend) needs to be careful with that. Numel isn't that bad either, just a little slow and not that tanky.

Well, what Pokemon have you already found? Eevee? Skuntank? Totodile? The are 5 types remaining: Water, Rock, Steel, Dragon and Fairy. Even if you had Poison or Steel type moves, they alone might not be enough. Then again, that gym isn't coming soon.
