  1. On one hand Nappy got hella unlucky in his first attempt, there's no denying that. On the other, he still did keep losing afterwards. But wow, that was some of the unluckiest shit I've ever seen, I legit do feel bad for him. Personally I always end up struggling more against Shade than in any other battle, so I feel the pain :') Got my ass handed to me at this part of the game plenty of times. Nooo, Prideeeeeee ;A;7
  2. I'm very glad you learned your lesson, maybe there's potential for goodness in you after a- ...You think I can't read? You thought I wouldn't read the rest?? Hm??? Did you??? Think you're funny, do you? 1v3 me, bird only, windy weather, no items

  4. This sounds like such a neat run! My favorite Pokémon is accessible fairly early and rules a certain set of fields, I hope it will serve you well~
  5. Finished my first work day! Was good, so no more anxiety haha.

You'll learn to appreciate weekends all over again trust me

  6. You don't wanna know how many shiny Magcargos I've slaughtered for the sake of EV training the other night. ...Though, given my luck with IVs on shinies, they're probably best left roaming free anyway :') I caught a shiny Muk with double 0 IVs yesterday Not to devalue Amphy here, but E-Terrain isn't the only field-overwriting move there is. Misty Terrain field is another pretty exploitable one, considering in Reborn it isn't created solely by Misty Terrain, but also Mist, which is a way more common move than the additional moves that can be used to create the other terrains. Chances are if the players who lost their Ampharos really want to get another 'mon that helps with field cheese, they'll find one. Off the top of my head, Aromatisse learns M-Terrain by level-up.
  7. Wakandaaaaaaaaaaaa noooooooooooooooooooo That was so harsh, though, crit and poison Damn Actually sad about Gregory, it's not often that I see people using Lumineon. It's nice seeing underused 'mons being represented. Rest in peace lil' fish :c
  8. Destroying Serra's field is also a 'meh' option if you're me and actually care about getting her relationship points, because you get a point deducted if you shatter it. Doubt the penta-op boys would be particularly interested even if they knew the points are a thing, but some of us definitely are, rip. Destroying her field is always an option (and Arceus knows I've had to do it a lot), but I do prefer fighting leaders on their fields if I can :c It feels more satisfying to beat them on their turf.
  9. #AquaGangBestGang That synchronized Manectric death was tragically beautiful. But ouch, to think that they avoided certain encounters for being too strong, only to do this mission now... RIP. Wakanda truly is forever, though. I'm rooting for her.
  10. As of now, it's either the egg or the hidden cave in Tanzan Cove (that one you need to surf across the lake for). It used to be in a different part of Tanzan Mountain, yeah, but it got axed from there in... E15 I believe?
  11. I've been hoping to get a Drilbur in one of my runs from the Mystery Egg without trading for one or debugging it in for ages now, and you're telling me two people in this five player locke got it, out of all 18 possible eggs? Man, I feel personally victimized :c
  12. 1. What did we do to deserve this 2. Are there any interests you had as a kid that you wish you could get back into?
  13. I honestly don't mind them using E-Terrain so much, I think it's nice to see them actually utilize the advantages their 'mons give them. All's fair in a 'locke. And I mean, Nappy's been doing fine even before he got access to the move. It would have been cool to see someone set the field on fire instead, though. (Not because it's particularly smart with so many grounded 'mons, I just find it funny to do this to fields.) Shade loves his Electric moves, though, so trying to change his field into E-Terrain might come to bite them in the ass a bit. The short-circuit field can boost all the way up to x2, but at least comes with a chance for low rolls, whereas the terrain grants Gengar and Mimikyu the x1.5 - more than the Factory Field does. Rotom doesn't get boosted, but also can't get screwed over by low rolls this way.
  14. "Rock Smash the Araquanid cuz it's super effective" @ ICSW "If Araquanid was a rock type: Arockuanid"
  15. Mobile doesn't want to let me actually quote the post but I just wanna say that I love how this implies we could grow into friendly young men. ...Also, hi, welcome to Reborn, of course! Glad to hear you like it here!
  16. Idk, I know Ame herself has said that she thinks Shelly is a little too strong in the current release and has been nerfed a bit for E18, but personally I don't actually think she's that bad that I could see the whole squad whiting out on her. Especially considering they have started making good use of field transforming moves lately. Not saying I don't see any of them losing this battle, but all of them? Ehh.
  17. That coughing fit is what you get for cursing Solaris with this voice
  18. That's the idea, yes~ And again, I am very much aware that you cannot cover every possible thing. But suicide is about as far away from a blurry line as you can get. If someone doesn't want to indulge in content that, say, is set in a certain location? That's specific. You probably won't expect a content creator to put up a warning that their story is set in x city. But when you deal with suicide? Then yeah, you're probably going to assume that a large chunk of people who have firsthand experience with it will find it troublesome. Though I don't see why you wouldn't be able to cover all of the circumstances of character death in a readme dedicated to this stuff. You'd probably have a list of content warnings first, as a table of contents, and then you could just scroll through to read up on the ones that apply to you. Making this information available to people who may need it doesn't take anything away from people who don't if it's optional to read through.
  19. I'm extremely late to the party with this comment, but re: the discussion of trigger warnings: I understand that the "surprise" of the scene can be ruined for many players if the warning is made too specific / lets you know exactly where, and I do want those people to be able to enjoy the game fully. But I believe that something that gives the rest of us an option to check for this type of content would be very helpful. I've said before that I think it would be a good idea to include some content warnings that aren't as vague as "unsettling content", and I'd suggest this: Why not a separate readme file in the game folder? Nothing wrong with giving people the option to read up on things to look out for (you can't cover everything, but suicide is pretty damn major). Players who don't have the need for it can remain unspoiled this way. When I started playing the game, the person who recommended it to me told me about Corey's death and Amaria's attempt. If they hadn't, it would most likely have been an intensely upsetting experience, to put it mildly. What Corey and Amy did hit really, really close to home for me. Especially at that time back then. I want to be able to mentally brace myself for scenes like these because my mind and memories fuck me up, pardon the language. Thanks to my friend's early warning, Reborn ended up being one of the few things I managed to enjoy back then. Without their help, chances are I'd have abandoned it right there at that scene and never touched it again. Real life doesn't come with trigger warnings, but Reborn is a game. Whether or not I want to expose myself to fictional scenes that resemble traumatic life experiences should be my decision. The only people with valid input about whether or not I'm too sensitive are the mental health professionals working with me.
  20. I tried to limit myself to one of each, but you could hold me at gunpoint and I'd still be unable to choose between Zero, Eve and Lumi, so 'whoops'. They always have been and always will be my favourites. No other character in Reborn has captured my interest and sympathy as quickly as they did, and made me wish so badly to see them appear again as soon as possible. I love their concept, they have a very interesting dynamic with each other that makes me adore watching their interactions, and I genuinely care about finding out what happens in their character arc. That I enjoy the character designs for each of them is a bonus, too. Not to mention the fact that they have a ton of emotional value to me for being the reason I got introduced to the wonderful person that is my boyfriend. (Going from "I love your characters" to "I love you" at record speed, weee!) Normally I choose Aya as my favourite gym leader, but since she's in the reserve list on this one, I went with Shelly. I like her character arc and think she's one of the better written characters in her age range. I really enjoyed seeing her slowly gain more confidence, without it seeming over the top. She's another one of those characters who I've actually managed to care about. She's sweet and caring and makes me want to see her succeed and realize how much people like her. Her interactions with characters like Anna are precious as hell, and it was so satisfying to see her get her reward for sticking with Heather. Out of the reserves, I picked Fern, who is my favourite character in Reborn besides ZEL (though the gap is... quite big). He still has at least one big scene of character development left, that much is obvious. But I loved his portrayal in E15 and his interactions with Florinia in the Fiore Mansion scene. It's one of the most obvious glimpses we get of him exposing how vulnerable he actually is, and the question of what happened to cause the issues he and his sister go through was always one of the things that intrigued me the most in the game. He has a fuckload of mistakes to make up for, and I'm curious to see if he will, and how.
  21. Didn't know Ame had a long lost sibling Though, I mean... Can't go wrong with cats. Cats are great ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ Got any yourself? Oh, and welcome to Reborn, of course~
  22. Zero and Lumi definitely got lucky Unless I'm jinxing it as I speak. Just... Just Eve, man. At least it's still better than both of Taka's voices :'D Okay, fair, that's a low bar. I'm actually not all that bothered by Corey's; I was more bothered by how often they stumbled over sentences or just read them wrong when he was talking.
  23. Nexus needs to get gud. But good lord What did they do to Eve's voice Maybe that's why Espeon went murderous here
  24. Seeing them all come so close to finding the last officer and then chickening out of investigating the hole was the saddest thing I've seen all day :c I really hoped at least one of them would get all of them, for the sake of the extra story. I feel it makes the whole Corey plot a lot easier to understand if you get the unmasking scene. But I guess that at least means they won't be struggling against the mist field. Which... is probably best for them. And Jay was so close to begging Fern :^) Actually excited for the next episode. Wonder if it's gonna be two short eps next, then, seeing how the double battle and the battle against Corey are almost back-to-back with not a whole lot to explore in between.
  25. The only ones I liked so far were Fern's and Julia's voices, they suit them pretty well. The ones for Florinia and Taka are terrible, though. Everyone else's voices are in a big area of "eh, not really good, but not terrible either". I'm kinda excluding Ame here since she seems to have been assigned a "default" normal voice. But I'm mostly just relieved that my favourite trio got away with a bearable one :') I wish Bennett could've gotten Taka's voice tbh
