  1. Leafon is not bad. It is a very classical grass type in regards to its versatility but if you need grass muscle it's quite the hard hitter and its defense is solid too.
  2. So this means silvally is usable for anyone and would get a 40 point increase, correct? EDIT: 30 actually for steel
  3. Blasphemous opinion: I honestly like Megaman 7 and 8 over the other classic games.

    And I don't like 9 at all.

  4. I always found this a silly complaint as well. It's a constant thing with the line yet only Delphy gets hate for it.
  5. Number 9 Number 8 Number 7 Number 6 Number 5 Number 4 Number 3 Number 2 Number 1:
  6. It is a nice feeling when you see that little red key next to ehr icon when you're naming them, only for that feeling to turn into disappointment when you end up with an adamant nature or in Reborn/rejuv's case single digit IVs or something lol. Then you either keep going, or spend the next 20 minutes resetting lol. After a certain point I just settle for an okay nature or just figure, "at least I can breed."
  7. Loving these pics. And yeah its shiny does look pretty nice huh? Gen 6's starters actually had pretty good shinies. Chestnaught's is outright better than the original.
  8. This sounds pretty amazing. ^Yeah zoraora is one of my more liked mythicals at least in design.
  9. 0_0 whoa! No idea you played in that. Silvally grass? GRASS? You're a madman, or a genius, idk but wow.
  10. The amount of hate delphox gets is frankly gross, and really undeserved. Okay, Braixen is a top tier pokemon design and totally charming and I get preferring her over Delphy. But that certainly doesn't make Delphox bad, and while it's 3D model is...lacking, it's certainly not the only pokemon with this issue and there's plenty of well designed ones with less than stellar 3D models(Haxorus lol). But first I want to start on how people are so bugged how Delphox isn't "cute" anymore. This is a very silly complaint because none of the final starter evos save for Primarina arguably are trying to be "cute," as their designs are to suppose to invoke some sort of maturity. We see this from fennekin being a big head fox, turning into a cute little witch and then maturing into a wiser looking warlock/wizard. Delphox isn't about being cute, though I argue it's far from ugly or gonky either and definitely has a softer and more androgynous look to it compared to every other fire starter, who usually tended to have more masculine or harder designs. I can understand not liking the color palette as much, but the design functions well as a progression from Braixen/fennekin in fitting the spellcaster theme of the line, and I feel it's more natural than chespin's progression. Admittedly I was lukewarm on Delphox at first but seeing it animated and outside the games, as well as using it on a playthrough and reborn made me appreciate it a lot more. She's probably my 3rd favorite fire starter evo now, which is funny considering how fennekin is my least favorite fire starter base form. Gameplay wise, delphox IMO is one of the more interesting fire starters. Fire starters tended to be very offense focused but delphox was a bit fresh in how she was more versatile and could play support just as well, something previous fire/psychic types didn't really bother with or do well and it's made her kind of unique in that regard. She's not all that great competitively but for single player and fangames she's a surprisingly fun pokemon with some interesting depth that makes her more flexible in some ways compared to most of the other fire starters. Personally I found her to be one of the funnest starters to use in Reborn. How do you guys feel about Delphy? Disappointing? Underappreciated? An acquired taste?
  11. Last playthrough it was ciel because cheer oricorio is a goddang monster on the circus field in that fight. But in general it's Luna. Her field is really boring and basically just buffs her damage and moonlight, 3 of her pokemon have a dual weakness, her team is fairly slow, dazzling gleam gets powered up on her field so it's good against her dark types, sableye and umbreon are a bit weak offensively, and as long as you KO honchkrow before it can gain momentum it isn't too bad to handle. She's consistently been the easiest later-half gym leader in the game.
  12. There's like a a grand total of 3 steel types you can have before corey: klink line, wormadam, and maybe something else I'm missing. I suppose if you grind you could have empoleon.
  13. Samson is definitely harder than Kiki. His field is really annoying for that fight and hawlucha is freakin broke on it with the seed. Corey is harder than aya by virtue of crobat literally being able to oneshot half the pokemon available to use up till that point. That venoshock HURTS. Like skuntank is challenge but crobat can easily sweep your entire team if nothing resists poison. Charlotte is harder than Cal by far. Well Cal I think was a reserve at one point, no? blake and serra is weird. Serra's difficulty has fluctuated so much between episodes it's hard to tell, and TBH Blake's new team is kind of unlikable, not liking his gyrados and starmie additions. There were times where I found him harder, but also times where I found serra harder, like in episode 17. Previously fern was only really tough in his grand hall fight where he first used roserade. I'd say that fight could be tougher than Flora but now ehh not really. While he's no longer a reserve or was even an official leader(though apparently he was one in the actual league), sigmund was harder than Julia back when he was an electric specialist.
  14. Hardy in the initial actual reborn league was champ or something no? I recall hearing something like that, like he won the thing and used a trick room doubles team with freakin solrock and lunatone as his aces lolololol. Yeah times were different back then. Rock isn't the easiest type really and is quite strong offensively, despite the games trying their hardest to convince players how amazing they are defensively, which is kind of silly considering their 5 weaknesses lol. However combine the amount of strudy users, sandstorm special defense passive boost, and field effects and hardy has the potential to put up a pretty good fight. Then again we thought amaria was going to be tough but she ended up being easier than expected.
  15. I see week 5 is already put up yet week 4 results aren't even up yet? I think you guys should start posting the results/standings of the previous week on the new week thread, or at least update this one before posting the new one . This isn't the first time it's happened either <_<
  16. I actually really like the human models for gen 7. Gen 6 looks terrible now because of it lol. Plus they can convey more emotion than sprites. For pokemon sprite animations I like gen 5 the most. For attack animations gen 7 by far. However gen 4's sprites had the "cleanest" sprites though I liked the shading on gen 3's sprites more.
  17. I checked by white file and it was like lilligant excadrill chandelure haxorus Krookadile and something else but I thought, wow what a badass team lol.
  18. Are we talking about games or just pokemon? Well I consider both. Gen 7 has my favorite single player campaign for sure, and I love alola, plus it easily has the best cast of characters and a fun story. My only complaint is that the amount of new pokemon is kind of small but it unlike gen 6 they are overall a really interesting/fun set of mons and feel very fleshed out, actually gen 7 did wonders in fleshing out pokemon from a worldbuilding perspective and introduced some really interesting things. I like how gen 7 embraced pokemon being a JRPG more than previous ones, though I know some people were super bugged by cutscenes and such but I found myself so much more engrossed with the journey which I haven't done since BW1, probably the only pokemon game whose narrative even comes close.. I do kind of wish the outfits had more variety and alola a bit bigger but gen 7 surprised me in how much I found myself enjoying it. And that music..yeah it and gen 5 run really close. Gen 5 has my favorite generation of pokemon as it offered the most new pokemon and Unova really felt like a place of its own as a result. BW1 was the first pokemon game where the story felt like something worth being invested in and not an afterthought, as well as having more meat to its cast compared to previous gens. It also to this day has the best rival, N. Unova is my favorite region and the music for gen 5 is fantastic. PWT is also one of the best battle facilities ever, with emerald's battle frontier being the only thing that comes close. gen 4 is what got me back into pokemon so it holds a special place in my heart, plus by adding online and the phys/special split it dramatically changed the gameplay for the better. While I wasn't totally sold on the pokemon themselves initially, over time it became one of mu favorites and now is probably one of my favorite generations pokemon wise. That said, while I know it's really popular, I kind of find HG/SS not all that great despite G/S/C being my favorite pokemon games for years. gen 3...ahhh okay. Sooo like I have mixed feelings on this one. On one hand, Emerald version is iMO one of the best pokemon games and probably the best -pre-DS pokemon game. The pokemon are also quite exotic looking and while it was my favorite generation of pokemon for a while they've been surpassed by later gens I feel. Also I feel FR/LG are some of the dullest main games in the franchise and it was this gen when I feel out of love with pokemon. In fact it was 3rd gen when pokemon's popularity seem to have a sharp decline. I didn't discover emerald until after 4th gen. gen 2 was my favorite when I was little and really refined the gameplay, but I've realized that in gameplay these games have been surpassed by later gens and pokemon wise it's solid, but I now find myself preferring gen 1's set of pokemon over it. gen 1 was good for its time, but I'm just tired of it, and how much it's been shoved down our throats over the years. The games are still a fun little novelty now due to how different they play, and I still like the set of gym leaders. gen 6 refined the gameplay and gave us the lovely fairy type, and the best online. X/Y was sound mechanically and introduced some great ideas, but the cast was some of the worst in pokemon yet, the new pokemon were just too few and Kalos is easily one of the least developed regions yet. A France based region sounds amazing on paper but the execution left much to be desired, Omega ruby/alpha sapphire is probably the only remake that I can't say is the best game of that region gameplay wise as I feel emerald's postgame is more interesting(unless you really like catching legendaries) and its actual campaign is more fun since OR/AS is so mind numbingly easy as to be borderline boring. I do love hoenn but overall gen 6's lineups of games are the ones I feel least inclined to go back to.
  19. Make My Story >>>>> Odd Future

Finally a MHA OP I actually like.

    1. Wolfox

      Wolfox

personally like Odd Future a bit better, but I've only listened to Make MyStory once thus far

    2. Azeria

      Azeria

Animation is good, just not a fan of the song tbh. Just feels kinda..lifeless?

Maybe I'll warm up to it.

    3. Wolfox

      Wolfox

imo The day is the best intro for MHA we've gotten

  20. I thought Titania was inspired by Fire emblem Titania at least visually.
  21. I'm excited because 2 of my favorite leaders, Hardy and sapphira are gonna get a big role this time. er I think. Also the new PULSE mon. Was a bit sad we didn't get one last episode. There's PULSE Mime, PULSE Clawitzer, and PULSE something else(hypno maybe? Jigglypuff?) that's causing the sleep spell in Agate.
  22. I so don't want Russia to win.

And jeez what luck, penalty kicks are soooo nerve racking.  Man it was close, I was flabbergasted when Russia pulled that sick comeback goal towards to the end to tie it up.

  23. Wait week 2 finished? I didn't see a results post in the matchup thread.
  24. While it's true water is weakened on the starting field, the burning field does NOT weaken water attacks. Depending on your team and whatever pokemon she has out it might be beneficial to keep the burning field at least until Ninetales comes out. You don't want burning field + sun as even resisted it'll likely 2HKO anything without crazy special bulk.
