We scroll. It's a word file after all. The tiers you refer to are threatlists. The most popular one, OU, dictates that pokemon that have 50% chance of appearing at least once in every 20 battles in a tier, belong to that tier. The % of that is roughly 3.41% so if you take a look at the usage stats, everything above that point is considered to belong to that tier. The other tiers in descending order are the ones that follow OU and are: UU, RU, NU, and PU. All official and the same rule applies to them. One can use any pokemon from a lower tier but not from a higher one, because they usually break the metagame and cause problems like overcentralization. The Ubers tier, even if it's a tier higher than OU, is mainly a threatlist where everything that would unbalance OU is put. It's more centralizing due to its nature, but it still obeys to certain rules. AG is the highest one and where no rules exist, so if you want to play with huge power gaps, that's where you go. The tiers OU, UU, RU, NU, PU all follow the same clauses allowing for movement of pokemon through those tiers based on usage (high usage on a higher tier to rise, low usage to drop) and are constantly changing (even if the changes are usually minor) because the tendencies in the metagame are changing. The division does not mean you wouldn't see a specific pokemon in a higher tier; it merely tells you it's unlikely. Mainly the pokemon are put in their respective tiers based on their general appearance and ability but that's not always the case. Certainly, most OU pokemon would be game-breaking in a lower tier (and that's why you have large BL areas - banlists for lower tiers) but others could constantly rise and fall without major repercussions to the game's balance (like Mamoswine, Zapdos, Starmie, Celebi, Conkeldurr, Amoonguss, and Azelf do between OU and UU). Their presense to a certain tier may exploit their unique niche which becomes popular a certain time period so they rise (Azelf), they work as good checks or counters to certain threats (Amoonguss to Keldeo), or they drop in popularity and go to the next tier (Quagsire). The mention of a tower gives it away. Mirage Tower is where all fairytales come true. So with the whole desert surrounding her and toughening her up, she still hides a soft spot inside that tower, where she can really live her dreams. The Shakespearean queen of Fairies finds a place that suits her.

Praise The Sun... and Moon - Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon
NickCrash replied to Godot's topic in Pokémon Fan Club
This is quite interesting and finally the games look promising. With the exception of Ash-Greninja, everything else looks remarkable. The starter evolutions are much better looking that all other pokemon we've seen so far, only outshined in cuteness by their pre-evolutions. Rowlet's evo appears to be an upper-class young man who has green leafy hair, while Popplio's evo takes on more on the feminine side. Litten's evo seems to have potential, and bear in mind that going physical doesn't mean it can't be Dark type. It would make nice contrast with Houndoom, so I'm looking forward to it. As Chase said, it will be disappointing to just include all megas we already know. As far as I am concerned, they are beginning the hype for mega evolutions so they could reveal new ones in the following weeks, and my bet is on M-Flygon being revealed a week before the release of the demo, to maximize hype. What would be even more interesting is to hide certain megas, so people will have a nice surprize by finding a completely new one by chance while playing the game. That feeling of exploration is hard to experience when all information about the game is already released months ago. Besides, the fact that the Z-ring is what initiates both the Z moves and the Mega Evolutions may hint that in competitive battling, you'd be able to either use a Z move or a Mega but not both. So if they end up being overpowered, at least this rule balances things out. All in all, I have higher expectations than before. -

@ Login, Dig In @ ICSW, I can assure you nobody will think lowly of you if you decide not to reply. As every conversation ultimately comes to an end, not everyone feels this urge to reply everytime someone makes a comment on a specific matter. It is an urge you need to battle yourself. If the discussion goes that way, and you do not wish to be part of it, abstain from commenting. It's not about you anyway. You are just the only one supporting the other side, in fact with the sole argument that you don't consider any of what is aready mentioned as reliable or part of the same universe. As for the pokedex entries, exaggeration and writing down observations are two different things. Sure, a 10yo trainer could touch a Magcargo, feel the burn and instantly rage about how the pokemon is hotter than the sun. At the same time, for a person to note down the diet of a certain pokemon, they must have seen it hunt down and feast upon its prey. This is a non-realistic environment with animals that have such abilities they can decimate a normal planet, so parts of it are bound to be illogical and not follow their real counterparts (if any). There is not going to be explicit note about it, and no NPC from a main series game will make direct dialogue about it, but hints can drop at any time. The reason they won't is due to the target audience; children. One could imagine the all feast on berries or nothing at all. Others could spot clues here and there and decide it's not really different. I first knew about it when in Gen1 I spoke with a chef in SS Anne who made an omelette. Nevertheless, one could make a different thread discussing the dietary preferences of various pokemon families and move the discussion there.

Let us all consider all evidence that contradicts our personal point of view as part of a different universe that does not apply to our self-imposed idea of the pokemon world. Worse, let's expand that to the everyday life. This should come in handy in avoiding all negative emotions. @Ame, do not reveal the field just for the lolz.

1725 what's the point? 5 people in favor commenting frequently, while only EXlink is active for the cats. While the cats and the dogs fight... the snek army rises.

Pokemon die occasionally. Lavender town didn't just have ghosts, and in Gen3 we are shown an Onix's corpse used as a pillar.

When the combined Rocket attacks didn't do damage on Dragonite, something that resembled a white power shield was seen. Was this a joke on how Gen1 Lance's Dragonite knew Barrier, while it wasn't supposed to?

It's been long since we made one with the Reborn cast, or at least part of it. Interesting moments

Still Sheep has neither confirmed nor denied all allegations connecting him with Mrs Craudberry. The list felt incomplete without those.

To defeat Mr.Bigglesworth you must be Mr.Bigglesworth. So... let's see Live as a homeless person who forces his pets to fight for money Destroy two profitable factories (destroy the system) Cut down a beatiful garden which took a long time to make Unlock all school doors so students can run outside into danger (stranger danger) Repeat the garden thingy a couple more times (we really hate nature) Bully a grown man into quitting his job and committing suicide Repeat the school thingy this time in an orphanage (against all forms of education, are we?) Drive a stolen boat in a toxic lake, and break lava pillars threatening volcanic eruption While we're at environmental destruction, better beat all wildlife inside an island visited for reproductive purposes Break with 2 friends into a girl's home and beat her up... twice. And all that before we leave the city, storm into two mansions, burn a house, flood another, beat up an old lady, make a circus clown cry, beat a mother and kidnap her newborn child, and make another person attempt suicide. We really are something special aren't we?

We still have the Tower from Johto. My guess is that Silver shows up there.

Is that all to it? I expected parts of it to be only Komaeda, so we learn more about his version of luck and how it's different to Makoto's (yes we already have figured differences here and there but they could do a lot with 1-2 anime episodes with it), and part could be their journey of attonement. Also... prediction of Seiko & Mikan saving Kyoko was confirmed. yay! *pats his own back*
