  1. Well, it's not completely useless. Imagine going against a CB Azumarill and it failing to KO with Play Rough, so you kill with 2 consecutive Iron Heads (yes I dropped Pursuit to make that set).
  2. What's going under the table there? Hmm? http://imgur.com/kfTTGiE

  3. When people saw that hat, they started speculating about it. The dots connect. Travelling merchant who mined shards and sold them to create the circus, and loves weird hats. However, where does the rich chessmaster living in a castle story start in this case? If he became that rich from the shards, it should have taken many years and money still staying around to get educated, build a castle, hire personell and become a master of chess? And how did he learn about the true nature of the shards? Was it after selling them to the Meteors? Things seem a bit off. However, the 'safety' theory holds good credibility, because of his wife's demise. It mustn't have been long after the children were given to the orphanage, since they would have memories of Zina and Radomus. Time-wise they are left to be raised by Sigmund around the same time the door to the city gets broken and Adrienn gets stuck in Citae Ark D'Astrae and Meteor started the mess. He looks like he's connected to Anna and Noel and even their types match. He does not have psychic powers himself, but he has the power of... deduction? Ok we're getting too creative for our own good. Let's just say hints point towards this. /thread Shade is a good guy according to Anna, but it would be cliche to have another dark figure hiding its face, lurking in the shadows, hanging around machinery, big screens and use lasers and bzzzt to appear one day in front of a ladder and tell them "Noel and Anna. I am your father".
  4. Since I already have Tang for Grass coverage, would it not be better to have Rain Dance for the STAB boost + Hydration (bb status) + mess with T-Tar/Hippo? I'm already checking about possible sets with sand rush Exca and Scarf T-Tar (and I said I wouldn't use sand rush again lol ) since Tyranitar actually helps deal with the Bird Spam problems this team has (part of the common HO nowadays).
  5. This was a close match. This new team struggles with HO. I know it's hard to make suggestions from a replay, but I don't have time for an RMT. So plz halp http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-433519164
  6. There was a hack where prof. Oak would battle you back in Red/Blue/Green with pokemon like Arcanine/Exeggutor/Dragonite/Tauros and most of these are rumored to have alolan formes. Perhaps A-Oak could bring this into life.
  7. A combination would be to reset civilization to the nomadic state in which nobody had power over the other.
  8. There are 20 different pathological faces I am supposed to recognise, and till recently I couldn't even tell if someone was mad at me.

  9. Would it not be better to have Marcello continue from where you left off, and just inform him of your thought process while coding this? There are multiple mentions of respect from the rest of the dev team addressed to you, so that should have been capable of doing so. I guess it somewhat explains Ame's paraphrazed statement that "One of our developers decided to get their code and leave". Until recently I wasn't aware that Marcello was involved in this project and judging by the demonstration of his recent work, I can say I'm impressed. So, it's nice ot see he's leading the dev team, but I still have some questions (unrelated to the topic above). Weren't you teaching Ruby to Jericho for the exact same purpose? @Marcello, speaking of noticing stuff... I didn't laugh. Ban me.
  10. I just love how A-Exeggutor just disappears from the screen.
  11. Perhaps in a different game, those natures would be quite balanced. In pokemon however, some of those points are based on arbitrary hypotheses that do not necessarily apply to a competitive environment. While in the very first stages of the game with limited mechanics (Gen2) natures had a significant impact on the game and inevitably some were ostracised due to their impractical... nature (kek). However, with the introduction of abilities, held items, weather, and later the special/physical split, more became viable. In some cases, natures dubbed as impractical or "should never be used" became optimal for certain pokemon, or certain sets (thanks to the ability to customize your pet-battler). Let me elaborate on my thoughts here. Prologue and General Analysis With 6 Natures to go, we enter the real debate Those are: Hasty (+Spe,-Def) Lonely (+Atk, -Def) Mild (+SpA, -Def) Naive (+Spe, -SpD) Naughty (+Atk, -SpD) Rash (+SpA, -SpD) Which are ones I personally think have their uses, especially for mixed attackers. To whom it may concern, those creatures use both their Atk and SpA stats efficiently in battle, and are commonly found in HO teams (Hyper Offensive). These pokemon, or rather sets for certain pokemon, are a double-edged knife and it's apparent why. They decide to sacrifice a little bit of defense for extra killing potential, and believe me when I say that with proper EV spreads, these pokemon do their job extremely well. Especially Scarfers can be proven deadly with such a Nature. Notable examples are: EQ Latios, Fire Blast Tauros, Infernape, Greninja, Salamence, Tornadus-Therian, Landorus-Therian, Garchomp, M-Sceptile, Xerneas, Azelf, M-Diancie and Zoroark You might notice that most are frail pokemon blessed with good offensive stats in both sides, that usually function as either sweepers or wallbreakers. Since their Speed might be crucial for their efficiency, they decide to decrease a certain defensive stat. Especially things like Tornadus-T which have Regenerator, don't really care about small amounts of damage increasing if it's just a bit (since they do not invest in Def/SpD so the difference is minimal) if they can do their job properly or even exploit the element of surprize in dealing with opposing threats. After all, the game involves a lot of luck and prediction strategies so factors like a special nuke out of nowhere or a random Knock Off may even net you the game. That's even more obvious when your movepool does not allow specialization, such as M-Diancie which is forced to run Atk for Diamond Storm, or some Garchomp sets for the occasional Fire Blast, in order not to be completely walled by Ferrothorn and Skarmory. Admittedly those pokemon do not need their Def or SpD stat that much or are expected to be hit more on the other spectrum, so they are still safe. At the end of the day, only the natures that block their own benefits may as well go extinct. Even so, if someone presents me in the future with a relatively fast mixed attacker that can excel in either Def or SpD, and has a good ability to compliment that trait, like Regenerator or Thick Fat, I might even use Lax or Gentle as its abilities. As for the 'neutral' ones, no. They can go burn in poke-hell.
  12. Drought is what kills things. Storm and Snow are more easily adaptable. Make it constantly sunny in Ametrine, and block the path with Rocks not Ice. See how fast the people start dehydrating and running our of food. Make it constantly foggy in Coral, so boats would not be able to reach their destination safely, and make it Stormy in Peridot, so nobody dares come to the new region.
  13. First time using Manaphy. Aparently, not many people can take a +3 Scald from it. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-432990412
  14. This. Besides, what's the point? What do they get from it?
  15. Welcome to the forums. The column on the left includes anything you need to get started.
  16. Swallot was bad. Pimp-My-Pokemon is doing wonders.

  19. A part that does not fit with this theory is Gladion's plan. If you intend to steal a pokemon and prevent an evil organization from using it, you do not expose it to the public by using it in your first pokemon battle. You should instead steal and hide the pokemon somewhere they won't search, and remain in Aether to appear to still be on their side. In the case they catch you red-handed, you fly to Kanto, find a cave there and hire a guy with an afro as a bouncer.
  20. Everyone believes Lillie is the UB-01 experiment. I hope no more exist because I don't want pokemon to become YuGiOh cards. If the "enforcer" is an outsider, it would make sense that he was testing a prototype of Type:Null or even stole it from Aether. Those people appear noble in their intentions, so a scientific experiment going wrong (again) or being used for the wrong goals is possible. It is also possible that Team Skull is a front; a gang created by Aether to throw suspicion onto them whenever something terrible is happening in the region. While attention is brought to the street gangs, the real criminals erase their tracks. I don't understand the enforcer's position in a street gang, as they commonly lack proper rankings and specific roles for their members. They cause trouble here and there, serving Aether by distracting the people, and Aether provide protection in one form or another. Having an artificial island for themselves where they treat pokemon on the surface always rises the suspicion of what kinds of experiments happen beneath it. So far we have the following artificial pokemon: Porygon, Mewtwo, Genesect, Type: Null, Magearna. Did I miss anything?
  21. Same way I can build a computer after using so many. edit: This^ is getting off-topic.
