Far from broken. You don't play alone. You could be Taunted, Encored, Disabled, Rage Powdered, you know.. all those things they use in Doubles.

I do believe people look at pokemon's names before using them. That would not stop them from nicknaming them, but there's little harm there. On a side-note, does the Lemur pokemon's ability only work on ally pokemon? Apparently they are improving the doubles format this generation, with so many new abilities that work well in tandem with each other, but the singles format should not be neglected. A pokemon that steals abilities as soon as their original owner dies could be useful in a competitive environment.

They are asking for rematches with the gym leaders and rivals, all with better teams.

That Pikachu Z-move reminded me of this More serious thoughts: Can we disable those awful animations, or are we forced to wait 5-6 seconds for a single move? Will the guys in smogon implement the Z-moves in regular play? Almost anyone hates that the Orbs can be used alongside megas. Time will tell. Perhaps it's time for some of the older players to retire. Shame. Will they announce new megas, now that it's roughly 2 months before the official release date? Do older pokemon get those new abilities and moves? Will Ame implement the new pokemon in Reborn, so people who don't have that much money to waste on buying either one or both versions be able to use them in campaign?

I'm pretty sure people used spears, bows and perhaps even swords to defend themselves before capturing pokemon. Gunpowder in the real world didn't start being manufactured till the 1400s when the first cannons were used, which is admittedly much longer after animals were domesticated. Our animals use brute force to fight, so we needed to improve our war technology to dominate over other people of our species. In a world where those animals have special abilities, there's no need for us to improve, but for them to be trained better. A common wild animal at a low level will be easier to defeat and capture, but if you'd want to subdue a stronger one, you'd have to train the weaker one. That's why, in the pokemon world, the better trainer can climb the highest mountain, reach the deepest end of the ocean, defeat the mafia, and fight with wild animals so strong and rare, they are thought to be legendary.

I was disappointed they didn't enter holding Remoraids. Aren't those supposed to be the guns in the pokemon world? I guess they'll show them and Octillery in the war Lt.Surge participated in, if they decide to give that a go.

Had each episode been 10 minutes, they would have enough time to develop the story and present some nice battles. The first 2 are some of the pilot episodes they'll make, which will be short, sweet, and give us what we already know. Hence, I believe that after the first 5-6 they'll make longer and more detailed episodes.

So it's going to be fast-paced backstories changed a bit to serve a POV way to tell the story. Interesting.

This could be a story told by Ghetsis to project the image of the benevolent father who takes an abused child under his protection. Apart from what Mael said, N has Peter-Pan syndrome, and thus is naive and straightforward in the way he leads his life. This explains the ways he treats pokemon and people, as well as the state of his room, which I believe is accessible in BW2.

Since they appear to be a human-pokemon hybrid, my guess is that we cannot capture them. GameFreak however, is no stranger to disappointing decisions. As for Nightruff, I can hardly believe they'll make a Rock/Fairy as it messes up with the nature of the Werewolf. Sure X4 weak to ... steel could hint to silver, but a type that resists steel and perhaps an ability that either nullifies or decreases damage from Steel attacks also makes sense, to emphasize how iron is not silver thus ineffective against Werewolves. The "power of the sun/moon" could also hint to an in-game event that's essential for the Legendary pokemon's form changes (those marks on their heads), so don't be 100% certain it's a simple day/night evolution. It could be, but the wording may suggest otherwise.

It appears Dayruff is Normal/Rock and Nightruff is either Dark/Rock or Ghost/Rock. Either way they both look awesome, but for me Dayruff is a little bit nicer. Also hyped for the generations one even though this should be a completely different thread and will become at some point

It does not seem likely that someone can put too much thought into something, yet merely scratch the surface. The outcome of a battle may be irrelevant to the reputation system, especially as far as gym leaders are concerned. Otherwise there is no reason for them not to have the same minimum value. As for the rivals and team Meteor, it's obvious they matter. Apart from the battles, sidequests and dialogue options, what is there?

There should be a way for them to find out. What if I read all 4 diaries? They will never know. However, if I did certain sidequests I might influence their behavior. For example, Shelly would be pleased to see me get that Kriketot, and Amaria would like to know I saved a Squirtle from the Wasteland. Not sure how Kiki would feel about that other shady situation in the wasteland but I'm pretty sure Hardy is going to like us if we use a Rock type to beat Fern with.
