  1. I can see on my own. Naturally it's impossible for all 3 of the changes to be made, since 2 of them target Leafeon. The reason I went forward to 4/6 is that they hint more changes in other members in order for the main goal of the team to remain the same, while taking care of synergy among the members. At least, Whimsicott suggests so in order for it to show it's full potential and maximum synergy with other pokemon. I suppose it's clear now.
  2. Before I take a look at the team, I should clarify a thing about Foul Play. It takes the opponent's Attack stat and modifiers into account, but the rest is applied as normal. This means that burning the opposing pokemon will not decrease the damage dealt. However, being burnt yourself will. Similarly, if you hold a life orb and use Foul Play, you will increase damage by X1.3 and lose that 10% of health. If it's them who hold the life orb, it will not matter at all, and you will see that no 10% damage has been reduced. You can try this to verify. Here's how Bulbapedia words it About the team, Tomas suggested some changes that effectively have 4/6 of your pokemon thrown out. I would too suggest Knock Off instead of Double-Edge and Darmanitan instead of Arcanine. There's no reason to use the canine if you don't do the Intimidate set. Darmanitan, especially with a choice scarf, is a much better option with pivoting potential. Unless you wish to turn Arcanine into a more physically defensive pokemon with Intimidate, I recommend Darmanitan. Also, give Sableye a 248HP,252+SpD, 8Def Ev spread for maximum longevity. Few Fire type physical sweepers exist in the UU meta, and they are the only ones immune to your prankster WoW. Your 248HP EVs are more than enough to outlive them after a successful WoW. Plus priority in recovery is always nice. You could even go for Night Shade if you feel like it, but there are still some Normal types lurking in lower tiers. I know Swalot is a pokemon you like, but it's not that effective. It's slow, weak, and outclassed both in the offensive and the defensive by better pokemon. Plus, it's Ground weak, and you cannot rely on Aerodactyl to avoid all Ground attacks or Leafeon, since it's actually quite frail and has no recovery. An awesome alternative to Swalot is Amoonguss. I usually don't like having 2 Grass types in my team, but if I were to choose which one to drop, it would not be Amoonguss. Spore, Sludge Bomb, Giga Drain and a filler move of your choice (between Hp-ice, Hp-fire, Synthesis and Leech Seed) make this pokemon one of the most deadly even if it's just a stally mushroom, usually seen in a Regen core. It can fill in many teams, check the fairies, survive physical and special hits alike, mainly covering Sableye where it cannot work properly, and as for Fire types, you have your Fire pokemon of Choice, Aerodactyl and even M-Amphabulous to take care of them. So there you go. I suppose, without changing your team too much (only 2 poke-switches and I kept Leafeon) we can make it better and keep the roles. Get some set ideas from smogon as well, and come back to tell us about your progress. A replay or two would help (mainly because we are too lazy to read at long logs but all die for some video action)
  3. You didn't want to catch a Durant before, so it's all on you. Btw you have not caught anything in Crysolia Forest, Tanzan depths, Tanzan underground something, South and North Aventurine woods, and there are more areas in the Valley (if you think of the caves as a different area). You should also train the ones you already have and go get some events. Do not kill any more pokemon, since you'll be left at a shortage. Also, I noticed a comment like this "my mere existence trumps all you claim for your achievements". Did that imply something chess-related outside Reborn or was it about how awesome (you think) you are in this run, saving everyone and their mother as you go catching them all?
  4. I do not believe you can count the (unknown) evolutions as released pokemon, since you never actually showed them to us.
  5. When something is not up to debate, you lock it after Post #1. Otherwise, you accept your mistakes when no proper arguments to support your case are presented.

      Cool Girl

      Sounds like you're a lawyer/judge.

  6. Ninja'd. It is an insult to compare this bug to a Durant.
  7. Yes, I know that no megas are actually safe to use, but making a team without one seems to cost me more in the end, power-wise. I'm a bit iffy on using Gliscor because I don't want to stack on too many Ice weaknesses if I keep Garchomp. The boost+pass strategy works well in Poison Monos with Scolipede and Nidoking, but here it seems I must sacrifice something to bring it safely into the field. As it now is, the team has no particular problems with a certain type, even Water, thanks to Gastrodon, but it does not push forward the way it should, as it relies too much on sacking previous pokemon. I'll look at your suggestions, and let's hope I find something that wasn't implemented before.
  8. I would toss Tangrowth because it does not provide an actual role for the team. Instead I would put Rhyperior in its place, which has Ground and Rock coverage as well as the potential to setup with Rock Polish. At +2 and full 252+ Speed, it outspeeds even Alakazam, so there you can go and kill all you want. Rhyperior is a good choice for Sun teams, since Water damage is minimized and further decreased by Solid Rock. Grass is rare anyway, so you won't have any problems with that. You could slap a Weakness Policy or Leftovers for maximum survivability. Vileplume has enough bulk to be able to tank a few hits. With Sun around, a Moonlight does 75% of recovery, so you might want to switch a move for that, preferably Moonblast, since your STAB moves is all you need. If that's not enough, you can throw it away entirely and switch it for Victreebel with also has Weather Ball to get a hold of Sun and hit harder than Vileplume, albeit with less bulk. As Simon said, a Sun team with multiple pokemon weak to Rocks is doomed to fail. Starmie seems to be the best choice to replace Ninetails, and especially the Reflect Type set. Rapid Spin those Hazards away fast enough, Set Sun with Zard Y and then proceed to attack with the rest of your team, that are now not 100% dependent on Sun, as they were before.
  9. I burnt a Gliscor on the switch-in. Today was a good day.

      Well, good for you then.

I've had days when I've toxiced Gliscor swap ins and burned Guts Conkeldurr Swaps...

Reminds me of when someone Swagger'd my Feraligatr, it proceeded to use Dragon Dance without hitting itself.

Next turn, it snaps out immediately; now faster than my opponents entire unboosted team, where I proceeded to wipe the floor with them.

    3. Sutoratosu

      Sutoratosu

Ah yes, sweet, sweet swagger... a double-edged sword, if ever there was one. Who gets cut comes down to how lucky you're feeling...

  10. Bug is also a possible secondary typing, but I wouldn't give it much chance. It makes little sense for ancient civilizations to build a Bug type. It would be nice if it were Steel/Normal, but... GameFreak is a stranger to nice surprizes. Steel/Bug and Steel/Fairy are overused since XY.
  11. You don't want an Orca sitting in your living room. Plus, you will never use your computer again, because ... Drizzle.
  12. Would it not be confusing if Andetle learned physical and special moves alike? I mean, it's not like any setup moves cannot boost both! Tomas never said that any other boosting moves were deleted, only that Dragon Dance was replaced for something else. What would that be? Who would know? Some say: Is it a physical attacker? Is it a special attacker? Why not both? Naturally, one of the previous sentenses has to be correct, but which one, I wonder... No really, I do wonder, since they didn't give me the final result. They just told me they made it stronger, and I have to tell you, if you've seen some of my creations in the "mega" thread, they are strong mons that try to be balanced. And I'm telling you: When I submitted it, Andetle was strong (not just balanced). Now they make it even stronger. At first, if I had to tier it, I would place it around... ok on second thought, I'm not telling you that just yet. The only thing I can tell you is that there are some differences between the genders, mostly cosmetic tho...
  13. I'd have a Vaporeon. It's a cuddly little pokemon with whom we can get along just fine. It will benefit from the rain that's so frequent in where I live, and will help me solve the water-related problems I have, such as fires and getting accross the lake every now and then. It's a cat, so we can get acquainted and develop emotional bonds, as well as fool around when bored. I can take it with me everywhere and our abilities complete each other. I will keep plants away and try to buy that lightningrod I eyed for so long to keep electric attacks at bay. Yes, Vaporeon and I will be very happy.
  14. Your team needs rotation. Grind more pokemon. You won't get far with only those 6. At that point, you can level-up a Swoobat. I used mine till Samson in my first playthrough. Reborn wants you to get the less used pokemon and learn their potential. Do it, and you won't lose.
  15. Would you like to see an awesome Bug/Rock pokemon?

  16. I love you too guys <3 Well I'm definitely not spoiling anything, no matter to how full my inbox just became, because I care about this project as much as its creators (hence I'm being a bit pushy here and there). What came to mind first was "Hey! These are my bugs!! Look how good they look! And they are going to be included in Ep.2 already? GET IN MAH BALLZ" -- okay the last one didn't come out as expected, but let's say they are awesome! Zim has told me what the shiny sprites look, and I can tell you they are absolutely awesome, even if that's a word to describe the original as well. What is special about this line is that I had come up with it quite some time before the Se7en team announced their game. In fact, I had just created the concept of it when I noticed a small discussion in a post Tomas made about Zim that piqued my interest and made me pm them to learn more about the project and send so many pokemon ideas. Andetle and [REDACTED] was the first line I made and sent, and I was so glad it entered. Therefore, I'm becoming a bit sentimental to see it announced, ever so early. Since it's such an awesome pokemon, I'm expecting it to be a hard-to-get event, so only the best of you may have it in your teams. As for me, I already have a spot for it in mine. My original submission was a bit weak for Se7en standards. Zim verified that they gave it a boost in BST, so I guess you did a good job there. After all it was much needed. Now it's growing even stronger. The only thing I want to know is how big of a boost it got. I suppose it's around 40-50 BST. Your work on the pokemon is commendable, and I must say once more how we can't wait to get Ep.2 on our hands. Feel free to make speculation about the pokemon. You won't get it right at first since appearances are deceiving, but I can only promise you that if you thought the first-evo designs look cool, just wait till you see the evolutions! You'll defecate material commonly used in infrastructure!!! Thanks so much, Se7en team
  17. You misunderstood where the joke was intended. I would love to see a Mega-Ash in the next games. Back to the topic, I believe there are multiple threads in which various pokemon are listed as future candidates for a mega evolution, and among those, several have priority over others. Prime examples include the multiple times mentioned Flygon and Milotic, as well as others, with my personal favorite being M-Raticate (with the condition it's made as I've instructed for maximum fighting potential). My guesses on the following megas include a significant number of Dark types, as well as the introduction of megas that are of the Fire, Water/Dragon and Grass/Ground types.
  18. Double-hit can get you certain 2HKOs you wouldn't get with Return (or have a lower chance to), plus the Sub break. I wonder why they haven't included it in the "viable moves" part. It has a base power of 105 with Technitian, as opposed to Return's 102. Since the damage output is more or less the same, the main reason to use it over Return is the chance to break a sub. Otherwise, that 10% may deter people from using it, but again, its minimal and it hasn't stopped High Jump Kick before.
  19. The only reason I give it some possibility is the existence of megas, which were hinted at the logo. No matter how absurd a method it looks like, Nintendo is slowly running out of ideas, and fusion is something we have already seen in Gen5. There is no reason NOT to include it in their main "campaign". We all rejected the rumors about megas and a new generation when they first came out, but I would like solid arguments against the implementation of this new mechanic before mentioning which is the real canon.
  20. I'm not fusing with my pokemon!

digimon already did the whole fusion thing anyways lol

  21. Technically speaking, they can fit 2 regions in one game, and it's something I'm looking forward to. A connected (open-world) map is needless, since it hints you will end the franchise there. There is no reason to stop pokemon at their 7th gen, since it's so popular worldwide. Sure they lose in Japan to the Pokemon lookalike Youkai Watch, and they aim to outperform it. The way to do so is to provide us with a pokemon game so great it can surpass the early sales of R/B/Y. Hence, we expect higher detail in the 3D models, better story and interconnected plot, as well as a map wide enough to include mini-stories that somewhat blend into the main part of the story, taking example of what Reborn does.
  22. Feint, because M-Pinsir does not give a crap about your protect.
  23. Alright. I'll make any updates if I find something better. Thank you for the suggestions.
