  1. Hm, from what I know about bugs, I'd definitely say Sun isn't the way to go. It may help Volc, but volc is still only average speed (base 100). All it will take is a decently fast rock slide to take it out, then the rest of your bugs have to deal with boosted fire moves. Only other mon it helps is Leavanny (not a great mon) with Chlorophyll. Rain is useful, but I'd only use it if it protects his field or something. Reducing fire damage isn't bad, but bugs don't really gain any other advantage from rain aside from Hurricane volc (Non-STAB) and Thunders from Galv (who has compound eyes anyway). The only bugs that can even use good water moves are Masquerain and Douse Drive Genesect. If you wanna go bug, hyper offense is the generally accepted strategy. So, lets assume no weather for Bennett. A good start mon would be Galvantula as no other leader has abused sticky web yet. Also not many players bring rapid spin on their main team from what I know. Not to mention 91% accurate Thunder's with Compound eyes. Next Foretress would be good. Great spinner, high defense, It can set rocks or screens and even volt switch out for more spinning (or explode). Volc is a must, it's his main. It can run a nice array of fire moves, bug moves, giga drain, maybe even hidden power ground to threaten fire and rock types. There's the three main spots. He needs a mega, and with Webs up both Mega Heracross and Mega Pinsir are incredibly powerful options which hit like trucks. Aerialate is an overpowered ability threatening to OHKO anything that doesn't resist it after a swords dance and gets a boosted quick attack. And Mega Hera can put a huge dent in even Skarm with its raw power. Hey even Mega Beedrill could be good, but not as good as the other two. Scizor is normally a bug staple, but there are so many Scizors in the game already. Maybe he can take advantage of Durant with his webs. As it is already fast and can hit hard with Hustle. Other than that there are plenty of bugs like Vivillion and Venomoth who can abuse sleep powder and quiver dance. Vivllion has a powerful STAB with hurricane and Venomoth has Tinted Lens so nothing is "Not Very Effective" and Baton Pass. Scolipede is a great mon who can also swords dance and baton pass. Or my favorite strategy is just to slap a life orb on it and take things out with Megahorn, Earthquake and Rock Slide. Other good bugs could be Escavalier, Armaldo (another great rapid spinner), Crustle with Shell Smash which might work better than Durant. Yanmega with speed boost (But Shelly has that). Shuckle is a bulky mon who can abuse contrary plus shell smash plus a field boosted Infestation and toxic damage. Plus Rest to restore HP. Regular Heracross is good too. There you go, there's my bug rant. Hope you enjoyed it! Praise to the bug type!
  2. I really do home Ame is taking it easy still She always wants to take on so much work herself to ensure its of high quality and that we get he clearest vision And from what I've seen so far of this next update, its looking fantastic I can wait for a great game of this quality! At least she shows up some progress every once in a while too. Which is more than some other mods and major developers do.
  3. To me it just looks like a fuzzy collar around the butterfree. And it looks like it is wearing a sweater/turtleneck
  4. Hm that butter free doesn't look like a pulse though. Pulses are usually warped or mechanical looking. That looks like a butterfree recolored and with a parka
  5. Sorry to read that Ame believe me I know where you coming from with those bugs though
  6. I've never understood why people want psuedo legends so early, when every game (pre-xy) has made you wait until post game or near the E4 to get them. Or in Red/Blue's case made them extremely hard to find.
  7. Well bugsy from johto is shellys brother. So I think the other regions are canon
  8. I like the idea that cut can also kill the field or hinder it. You make an old move useful again and creatively hinder the field. Fire is so OP in this game though, it can destroy so many fields and boost its own field. Maybe we could add another way to hinder the field. Like freezing the plants over and hindering their growth.
  9. Well, I would assume Bennet would completely overhaul his team. I'd be sickened if we still had a butterfree or something at the E4. Unless we get mega Butterfree in Gen 7... But considering how underwhelming Mega Beedrill was...
  10. If only Leavanny could have Chloropyll and Swarm at the same time... But I feel like anything with swarm will wreck this field. With Swords dance agility, Scolipede is an amazing option. Its in an impressive speed tier of 112 and has the all-powerful Megahorn. This thing does a flat 92% damage to fully defensive ferrothorn at full field power with a chance to OHKO (Yes I remembered to boost ferro's defenses as well). If you swords dance, you could even OHKO a non-defensive Primal Groudon and Defensive Weezing. Seriously Ame, we may need a nerf cause *3 swarm and *2 STAB is a LOT. But I suppose its balanced since anyone besides the Gym Leader using it would just Burn this field to the ground. While doing my calcs I noticed Skarmory (if we ever get it) Is an excellent defensive mon as always. Not even the mighty Scolipede will dent it. It will double resist any bug or grass moves. Rain Dance Support will weaken fire and a lightning rod companion like Mega Sceptile (or in game for now something like Jolteon) would stave off Thunders. Meanwhile this thing can set up spikes, phaze out the opponent with whirlwind, have flying STAB support with its pretty decent attack stat and....Yeah we are SOOO not getting this thing soon. Only thing I dislike about this field is that, like so many others, we probably do not have the ability to create it naturally, It's a shame fun stuff like the Mountain, Cave, and even Chess Field can never be used outside of their arenas. But hopefully if we ever get online play we can have the option to battle on those fields at the start of the match.
  11. I wonder how effective it would be to just set up a quiver dance or two and Swarm Bug buzz my opponent to OBLIVION. This field is ridiculous. It looks like something Adreinn would have in looks. But the effects sound like allll Fern
  12. Beryl looks so beautiful! I love it! =) Also, I like how the forest is still there too! Maybe there will be some cool bugs in there. Scyther anyone? Huh, HUH? *nudge nudge*. please.... ;_;
  13. I would sooner expect mega Charizard X or even Lati@s for Lin. Too many Garchomps. But in all honestly, by the time Gen 7 comes out she should have a new Dragon mega to work with anyway
  14. You actually see plenty of iron head dragonites and flash cannon hydreigons nowadays. Even poison jab Haxorus can be nice.
  15. I remember for earlier episodes like 11 or 12 the wait would sometimes be 3-4 months. From what I've seen of the remaking of the city though, the wait is worth it. I was really just expecting to see some construction stuff put up everywhere, and some minimal work done to the city. But all of this remodeling is so incredible! I really want to see the final product and I will patiently for it. Ame did say this would probably be the longest episode to add so I doubt the others would take as long. And even the Gen VII stuff may not take too long as long as she can let a select number of people in the community help implement it. However, I know she likes to take on certain tasks on her own. (Bless Her). So I don't know how it will go. But I'm willing to wait for one of my favorite games I've ever played!
  16. Okay, firstly is it competitive ability? If no, it may not matter. Second, decide when to evolve it. Iggly is nice cause it evolves through the power of FRIENDSHIP. So, you can level it up to level 10 and learn all of iggly's moves. The first move it learns as jigglypuff is at level 11, disarming voice (which would be decent with competitive. If you want disarming then you need to walk around in circles or back and forth somewhere. Every 255 steps (i think) will raise its happiness. (Sadly there is no happiness checker to check how happy it is. It doesn't have to be max, just very happy.) Then your moves learned are as follows (for jiggly) 15 disable 18 double slap 21 rollout 24 round (probably your best move at this point) So, yeah, just get that happiness up and evolve it by level 11. Iggly also learns copy cat at level 11 but that move is meh. Hopefully that power at level 21 or 24 can carry you through the battle. Good luck. Another tip, maybe just look through the items you have. See if any x-attacks or something can help you out. Maybe a hold item. I think some pokes may hold berries at this stage of the game but i could be wrong. Back when i did this run i had a ton of other fairies helping me. It's much harder now. But i do know your pain cause i had to grind in a similar fashion to beat the first tangrowth on my monorock run.
  17. I respect all of your opinions, as indeed no game is perfect. However, as far as Arceus goes, I view it as more of a "you are meant to give up and lose boss". The nice thing about that fight is you can choose to agree with El, and then he'll "spare" you after you get wrecked so you don't have to restart or run back to the shrine. But that is a little difficult to find out if you keep siding with Radomus or restart after each loss. But I do enjoy facing the Arceus and Garchomp as a challenge and beating them on every run with one trick or another.
  18. I agree, no matter how long the wait is, the episodes this game releases are always top notch and well thought out. Worth every minute
  19. I'm so anxious to see more stuff This episode looks absolutely outstanding!
  20. Splash should have an epic minute long animation
