  1. Amethyst can't really own a set of rules, and I doubt she'd mind anyway, so that shouldn't be a problem. The things we need to stay away from without her permission are the title, the characters, and her trainer cards, which I don't intend on using anyway.
  2. Well, to be fair, Kirito's dual wielding actually was foreshadowed in the anime, and even moreso in the light novels (To the point where they actually kind of just spoil it for you way before that battle ever happens). But yeah, new power is a common one, whether foreshadowed or not.
  3. I remember starting the game for the first time, picking Cyndaquil for a starter because it's my favorite mon, buying the Magikarp that existed at that time, and proceeding not much farther than that before thinking, "Eh, I always pick Cyndaquil. I'll try Snivy this time, since I don't know anything about it or even what it evolves into." (I've never played a gen 5 game and was very unfamiliar with its Pokemon at the time.) So I restarted, picked Snivy, and bought the Magikarp again. But when I went to my menu and saw that golden 'Karp... I was so happy. That's gotta be the greatest thing that I remember so far. (Although hatching a shiny Nidoran M comes close too.)
  4. I agree that this should be under a different banner than the old League, but I wouldn't call it impossible. As I've said earlier, I would love to volunteer as a leader, and also to help with organization if this gets rolling. It will take some manual work, yes, but it's not as bad as people make it sound. Here are some regulations that I think would make things more manageable. 1. There must be an order in which gym leaders can be challenged, based on the overall skill of the leader compared with the typing. (Some types are obviously just easier to beat than others.) We could do tiers of leaders, such as two or three gym leaders that can be challenged from the start, and then two or three more who can be challenged with one badge, etc. This would prevent leaders from being completely overwhelmed with challengers, which leads to my next point. 2. Set some kind of limit as to the number of challenges a leader will take per night. It may take some experimentation to find the right number, but I think this would work. This again prevents leaders from being overwhelmed, and it allows them time to finish up whatever concerns the real world may bring them as well. There would also have to be a time zone in which a leader is open for challenges. I imagine these would be specifically tailored to the leaders' schedules, so as to make it easiest for them to accept challengers. 3. For a badge system, leaders would be required to keep track of who beat them. This is by no means a difficult task. Simply write down the names of those who win in a notepad, or a Word doc or anything you won't lose, really. We could report the results to a main thread on the forums so everyone can see who has made it where in the league. With a limited number of challengers per night, this would be an easy task. 4. As for trainer cards, we could attempt to revive them with Ame's approval, but I don't think they're really necessary if things are being kept track of in a main thread. They would be a cool bonus, rather than a necessity. That could be looked into further. 5. And as I've mentioned so many times already, just keep track of things in one main thread. It would have a list of challengers and their place in the league, so it would be public knowledge as to who has beaten what leader. This removes the necessity of dealing with an automated trainer card. 6. We would need volunteers for leaders. They would need to realize that this is a strict commitment, and know that if they are consistently unable to deliver what is expected of them, they may be replaced by a leader who can keep up with the schedule. They would also need to show proficient aptitude with the type they volunteer for, or at least moreso than the other volunteers for that type. 7. League would reset at the end of every "season," which would be a predetermined length of time. I don't remember exactly how long the Reborn League seasons lasted, but we could use a similiar system. Those who conquered the entire league would be remembered in a separate hall of fame. That's what came to mind initially for me. Like I said, it's a commitment, but by no means impossible, nor as hard as some make it sound.
  5. Happy birthday Silver! I hope you aren't still mad about the fox thing way back when. Because it was totally worth it.

  7. I like it~ It's somewhat hard to tell it's Kayaba at first glance, but I like the way this turned out. Thank you very much!
  8. To name a few of my favorites, some of which have been (or still are) represented by my avatars. Kayaba Akihiko (Sword Art Online) - Call me an insane psychopath, by I can legitimately empathize with the man, as in, I understand why he did what he did, and if my morals weren't as good as they are, I might be tempted to do the same, given the option. I found him to be a super interesting and relatable character, even though he only has a few actual scenes in the anime. Genesis Rhapsodos (Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7) - He gets criticized a lot for some reason, but I just loved this guy. He's got an awesome design appearance-wise, and I love the connections he makes between Loveless and the world they live in. He had an interesting story and was a character I loved to see. King Richard (Tales of Graces) - While he isn't a villain for the entire game, he spends the majority of it as an enemy. He also has a great character design, and I loved the voice acting he had. The whole game had me rooting for Richard to come back. GLaDOS - I consider GLaDOS to be one of the best characters in all of video game history. She's got an amazingly hilarious, condescending personality that make her so unique among characters. GLaDOS alone is what takes a good game like Portal and makes it great.
  9. Sylva and Frog "Want me to make something for breakfast?" Sylva's eyes widened as a grin spread across her face. "Yeah!" She threw her arms up in celebration. So her master could cook too? It seemed she'd get to try new things sooner than planned. "Mister Frog really is the best!" she exclaimed, throwing her arms around him in a hug. What other master would take the time to make breakfast for a servant? Mister Frog was super nice, there was no doubt about that. Surely they were a duo that was meant to be!
  10. If anything happened to Anna especially, or any of the kids really. But for some reason I got super attached to Anna, so she'd better be all right when all's said and done. I would straight up adopt that kid if she were real. Also, if something were to happen to Cain or Victoria I'd be sad too, though not quite as much as the kids. Petition to bring Victoria back into the plot. Finally, believe it or not, I'd like to see Sigmund have a happy ending. It would be sad for me if he were to die without ever realizing his wrongs and having a chance to start over. He's an interesting character to me.
  11. Hell to the yes! Project X Zone 2 better get a U.S. release! I saw Kite, Haseo (Why no Ovan though ), Dante, Vergil, X, Zero, Strider Hiryu, Jin, Kazuya... So many characters I love in that game. I'm gonna be so hyped if we get news of localization.
  12. So on a similar subject to my sadness about Pumpkinhead Fiddlesticks yesterday, does anybody know if there's a chance for Caterpillar Kog'Maw to make a return? *Gets hopeful*

      Avatar of Grima

Pumpkinhead Fiddle will return for the Harrowing. Caterpillar Koggles I got when Omega Squad Teemo launched, idk when they will unlock the legacy skins again

    2. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Just going to have to wait for next Legacy sale. These happen typically once a year so... going to be waiting a while.

  13. Your scarf would make Ark proud.
  14. "Oh, but I was just sleepy after tonight. What matters is that you're here and I'm here, right?" Sylva's expression returned to her usual cheery smile. "Yep! I wouldn't want it any other way!" She plopped herself down on the side of the bed before continuing. She put a finger to her bottom lip as she spoke, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Though I suppose... I can allow you some sleep if you really need it. You just have to promise we'll go out later if that's the case!" Her bright smile hadn't diminished as she finished her decree. If her master did decide he wanted more sleep, it would just mean she'd have time to think about all the places she wanted to visit. And all the FOOD there was to try! She would definitely try to enjoy her time in this world.
  15. NOOOOO! I just learned that I'll probably never be able to get Pumpkinhead Fiddlesticks... QQ

    4. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Well it's is, but it's one of the ones that is legay too so it might only be during Legacy sales... I think... their Skin categories are fucking confusing as shit...

  16. What really makes this picture is how they saved "Pogs" for the end.
  17. Sometimes certain shows just click with certain people. Same goes for certain characters. It comes to the point where you can overlook all of its faults because it entertains you. That's like me with SAO, which is easily my favorite of any anime I've seen. I realize that the pacing was super weird, but I loved the fact that they did it that way, even though it's one of the series's biggest criticisms. I love the characters, even though many people think they're pretty bland. I love the world, to the point where I know way too much about the actual mechanics of SAO. The point is that while many people may not like the slower pace that Overlord -apparently- takes for a while, you seem to enjoy the setting and characters enough for it to be entertaining anyway. Like I said, I'm only on episode 2, so I can't give an opinion on the pacing, but the show seems good to me so far. (I'm also in the middle of like four different anime that I really need to finish...)
  18. Well, if you ever do feel like getting around to it but aren't sure what to watch, there's always the recommendation thread. As for the specific examples, Attack on Titan is pretty good stuff if you don't mind a bit of gore and some darker scenes. As for SAO, come to me for a good (but honest imo) review or go to Gore if you want to hear about all its faults. We just recently hashed a bunch of stuff out. Neither of us made much progress, but between the two of us, I think you could form a pretty good opinion of the series's highlights and downfalls. Anyway, I recently started watching Overlord, and the concept is pretty interesting. I've only seen two episodes so far, but I like the direction it's taking. (And I understand Hukuna's avatar now!) It seems somewhat similar to Log Horizon at first glance, but you can already tell that it's going to go down a completely different path. There are a lot fewer player-characters, and I'd imagine that things are going to turn into a guild-war of sorts.
  19. Sylva's face took on a panicked expression as Frog attempted to go to sleep. "But, Mister Frog, you can't! You promised we'd go sightseeing today!" She tugged on his shirt as she pleaded with him. "You said I could get clothes, and see the modern world, and try new foods, and CAKE!" She gave him a pitiful look. "...Pleeeeeease?"
  20. Tfw you want to post in a thread, but you've been the last post for a couple days now and you don't want to double post. :/

  21. "Well... what a Pickle we are in Vayne." Dust said with a small chuckle. "Seems we are in a deadlock. I need two arms to swing my hammer and don't have the space and your only weapon is lodged in my armour. Whatever will we do?" Vayne gave the warrior a sly grin. "What you're forgetting," he started through gritted teeth, "is that I'm the one with allies here!" He could see Silef preparing her attack. It would be difficult for even a warrior such as Dust to deal with a capable fighter while maintaining this deadlock. At some point, an advantage would present itself, and that would be the time to strike.
  22. "Remember, phantoms and ghosts don't exist here..." Phantom was immediately brought to attention by the sudden turn of events. That voice... it was so familiar, yet he couldn't place it. And he had only caught a brief glance of the person behind it... He took off in a dead sprint around the corner, determined to catch up to this person. It was rare for something to trigger one of his few memories, so this was an opportunity he could not miss. He turned corner after corner, listening for footsteps to guide his choices in the maze. If worse came to worse, he could always enter the mirror dimension. He would be able to sense nearby presences at the very least, and potentially use those to guide his way.
  23. I suppose I'll let a few posts go by before updating Vance, so as not to completing skew the timeline we so recently established.
