  1. This one in particular made me laugh for too long.
  2. It's AMAAAAAZING, and I'm sure you'll love it. I'm still hyped for season 2, even though it's been so long.
  3. I think there might be a bit of confusion here... The league that this thread is talking about has not been cancelled. The Corona league, which was a different League, is the one that has been cancelled, presumably because this league is in the works. That's how I understood the status at least.
  4. "Well... Have you come any closer to understanding who you are?" It was Meridian, the succubus from the floor of Lust whom Phantom had befriended and inadvertently killed. It would explain why he recognized the voice. He tilted his head towards the ground. He had killed this woman before, yet here she stood before him. And her question... After all this time, was he really any closer to understanding himself than he was on the first floor? He had survived treacherous ordeal after ordeal, and yet, he had not learned anything more about himself. "...No..." The reply was simple, yet tinged with remorse. Even now, he still knew himself only as Phantom, and his goal only as Lyra. He knew her name and that he needed her, and yet he didn't even know why. He didn't even know why he didn't know why. Why couldn't he remember? Was there even anything to remember? He followed up with one more word directed towards Meridian. It was an honest feeling, as she was the only friend he had made, and this was something he felt he needed to do. "...Sorry..."
  5. "Now, do you want some toast or do you wants some toast?" "I want some toast!" Sylva shouted eagerly from her seat at the table. Her Master had some strange things decorating his house that she was curious about, but she brushed such thoughts aside. Right now, she just wanted to eat! She hoped that breakfast would consist of more than just toast; there were so many other things she wanted to try too. But even if toast was all she would get, she was still grateful. After all, her Master was taking the time to make her breakfast. What other Servant could say that? Sylva started humming a bright tune as she waited, bobbing her head to the light melody. It was another song from her world, a bright and happy song of celebration. She had a big smile on her face as she sat at the table, eager to experience the modern era.
  6. I haven't experienced that for myself yet, but my best guess would be that it's there because his Fair can push him pretty far backwards, so they reasoned that the momentum can damage people. Sort of like the hitbox below him on his U-Air.
  7. Those are the exact two characters that I've been leaning towards. Beetle's pillar is more fun for me than it probably should be, and can score some easy kills if you catch them with it while you're high enough in the air. Pillar -> U-tilt -> U-air works very nicely and can pretty much guarantee a kill in many situations. Orcane feels kind of wonky at first, but I really like his puddle mechanics. His F-air seems like it can lead into some good setups, though I haven't gotten very good at following it up yet. His B-air is just crazy good if you catch them with the tip, and as long as you've got a puddle on stage he can recover from anywhere.
  8. Hhhnnnngh... There was some song I wanted to listen to for some reason and now I can't remember what it was or why I wanted to listen to it...

  9. I just bought the game today, and I'm LOVING it. The beetle dude is awesome. And when I found out you could wavedash, I started loving it even more. Now I just need to hook up a controller instead of trying to do things with the wonky keyboard controls.
  10. It's like Melee... As much as I like this though, I doubt most people will see it the same way. I also wouldn't expect this to reach the competitive community, for obvious reasons. Regardless, it looks cool and I'll definitely try it out, though I doubt it'll be my main form of play, even though I love Melee as much as I do. I always tend to play the game in a way that would allow me to be competent in tournament, and unless this somehow becomes mainstream by some strange twist of fate, I'll resign myself to playing the game in normal mode. Also, I'm sure there are plenty of broken combos with those settings, as the developers obviously didn't use them for testing or balancing.
  11. Subway should pay people to just walk around the city holding their subs. I honestly think it would help their business even more.

    1. Simon

      Simon

Eh... I don't think it would at this point unfortauntely. Subway ain't even that good :T

  12. Happy Birthday Renzo! I haven't gotten to know you very well yet, but you definitely have had a positive influence on this community. Keep on keeping on and hopefully we'll see you around more often again!
  13. It's actually based on the mechanics of Super Smash Bros Melee and was featured on Smashboards, so it's supposed to be a lot like Smash. I looked into it once, but was never able to download it. I'll give it another shot. EDIT: The beetle-looking guy appealed to me most at first glance, basing purely from appearance. I'd probably start with maining him.
  14. He brought it up first... But yeah, I can agree with that. Though almost all of these cliches apply outside of video games as well.
  15. Shing, your new avatar hurts my eyes... X_X

    1. Shing

      Shing

      Oh damn, sorry Flux.

      I'll go back to switching.

    2. Flux

      Flux

Well, I was half-joking, although it did to some effect. You don't have to switch it if you don't want to.

    3. Shing

      Shing

It was really flashy, so it was the best. It wouldn't be nice to see this everyday.

Anyway you shouldn't worry about it.

  16. And Rose delivers. I'm lovin' the llama. Did it escape from somewhere or was it there for a reason?
  17. I've had this avatar for a looong time.

      Hiss13

I can't empathize as I switch avatars practically every week. Hell, expect this Isis avatar of mine to be replaced with something else by next week. :P

  18. It might be a little bit before I can get a good post up. My school load is heavy right now with english papers and calc assignments, so I just wanted to let you guys know what's up. I'll try to post when I get a decent amount of free time, though.
  19. Happy (belated I think) birthday Tacos! Hope you made the best of it!
  20. Aw yeeeeh, I see that Kirito avi, and I am pleased. If you're into anime and such, be sure to check out the Animation and Manga subforum here: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showforum=61 I'm a Kayaba fan myself, but Kirito comes as a close second. (Or maybe third. Still can't decide where Yuuki falls.) Anyway, welcome to the forums!
  21. This reminds me of Mouse on the Keys, except without the keys. So it's just a mouse. But I find this really relaxing despite all the drum stuff going on in the background.
  22. I'd have to recommend the Kingkiller Chronicles Where's the third book and the Sword of Truth series if you're into fantasy. Those are two of my favorite series, although they're very different. Without spoiling anything, the Kingkiller Chronicles are about an innkeeper who tells the story of Kvothe, who has become notorious in the modern age but is nowhere to be found, to Chronicler, a man who collects the life stories of notable people. It's an amazingly good read, and while the second book dropped the ball a bit, I still enjoyed it overall. Sword of Truth tells the story of Richard Cypher, a simple woodsman thrust into the role of the Seeker, which is a chosen warrior who wields the Sword of Truth. The description may sound a bit cheesy, but I assure the books are anything but that. Finally, if you're up for a very dark adult fantasy (Actually these are all categorized as adult fantasy for good reason, but this one even more so), I'd recommend Dusk and its sequel, Dawn. They have a gruesome attention to detail at points, but I found the story and the lore to be riveting. I'd definitely recommend it if you can handle a post-apocalyptic gore-heavy setting.
  23. Regarding tiers, I believe the Reborn League allowed any OU Pokemon until you reached the X-League, in which case you were allowed one legendary/uber (With a few banned iirc.). The X-League leaders were allowed to use legendaries as well, so it made for a challenge. I'm not sure how strictly we'll follow this, or if we'll even have an X-League (We can just call it "Elite Four" or whatever we decide on.) As for anonymity, I don't imagine it being a terrible problem for many of the reasons already stated. In any case, alternate accounts/server names would always be an option. Creating a persona would be fun anyway.
  24. SKITTAY! Happy birthday! You're always cheering everyone else up, so collect what's due to you and have some fun today!
