The Story of an Unlikely Hero: Pokemon Reborn Edition
Tringus replied to Tringus's topic in Team Showcase
Chapter LXIV: The Scrapyard of the Damned, and The Secrets Within! As Taka and I begin our trek into the unknown, we find ourselves in a large puzzle of trains, spanning across quite the distance. Seriously… how on earth did many of these trains crash like this? Surely one would think Reborn City had a safety commission or something to solve this problem! As we pass through some of the train interiors, I stop to look at myself at one of the train windows. Instead of the young man I thought I was, I look at my own reflection, one who looks as if they had seen many things and has lived for a very long time. Instead of looking like I just started my own journey not too long ago, I look as if I had been traveling for many years, a lost soul in a sense. In my reflection, I still wore sunglasses, but wore an elegant black and red suit with gold buttons, and a long, black, and gold coat that caped around my neck. On my neck, I wore a gold brooch, although I am unaware of its purpose, or what sentiment it has. The tassels on my coat looked as if they were the wings of Giratina, although they were merely decoration and nothing more. Instead of looking like a youth setting out for adventure, I looked more like a seasoned general of war. Not only has Falcone changed… but so have I. How have I never noticed… at all? Is this… what I have become? Before I could look further, Taka asks me if I am okay. I tell him that I am fine, and we continue onward. We find some trains that still functioned on the tracks, and when we hopped aboard, we crash through some rocks, breaking them with ease. With some idea of what to do, our destination was clear: Ride through the tracks on any trains that can move, and ride them out. When they crash, move on to the next. At least, that is what I thought, until we were at a standstill. For ages, it felt as if there was no way around, until Taka points at train on the western side of the scrapyard. We get back outside of the scrapyard and walk around to the western side. The adventure continues, and continue pushing the trains to where we can finally move further north. When we get on the last train, we charge, full steam ahead. We burst through dozens of trains, which makes Taka nauseous, saying he wants off of my wild ride. We read one of the trains, and it says “Axytine Express”. We trek onward until we find another clear path. Unfortunately, we cannot go through it because of the sandstorm, much like the path we encountered before. We eventually move more trains out of the way, but then it is just exploring the interiors of the trains… Until… ???: Well, howdy, partners! When we emerge, we are finally out of the scrapyard, and find ourselves in a small town in the desert. A woman appears and says that they were hearing some kind of racket, but they figured it was just the local Steelix giving it a good tussle again. Taka tells her that there is no Steelix, and that it’s just two crazy people with a train. The woman tells him that we’ve all been there and sees it as the best sport they have out here, which Taka somehow deems to be safe. The woman introduces herself as Europa, and asks if we are looking for a place to rest. Taka is unfamiliar, but Europa sees through his joke. She says that they don’t exactly get a lot of visitors out here, but there are a few of them who hang together for their own reasons. Some of them are chasing peace, others are fleeing violence. She says it doesn’t matter who we are though, as we are welcome to stay for as long as we like. We have each other, and that is all we need. Taka muses that this might actually work out, and Europa asks if we have a story to tell. Ahh, do I have a story to tell everybody… I’m the one writing it! Taka even mentions that I have several, which I do. As for him, well… He’s just looking for somewhere safe. Europa tells us that we found it, and offers to set us up with one of our own personal trains and the few accommodations they have. Taka questions why they live in the trains out here, and she says because they pretty much can. He seems pleased, considering the situation we’re in. She leads him to the trains, and I follow them. I find a big battlefield as I make my way to them. Is this where Titania battles people for gym battles? I find them outside one of the trains, which Europa says will keep us out of the sand. Europa asks Taka what he thinks, saying that it will need some TLC, but with a good broom and a bit of elbow grease, should be all hunky-dory. As I make my way in the train, she asks me if Taka is my boyfriend or something. In order to keep the anonymity going, I tell her “yes”. She’s just playing with me, but if I’m looking to stay too, he and I can share, or they’ll find me another car. I head inside, and Taka is looking around. He says that the place is perfect, and Europa barges in, asking if we like it. Taka says yes, and it suits him perfectly. Europa tells him that it’s all his, telling him to feel free to clean up or redecorate however he likes. If we need anything, we should let her or one of the others know, and they’ll see what they can do. She imagines we’re both mighty tired, but when we feel up to it, we should come out and introduce ourselves to the rest of the folk. Everyone is always excited to meet a new friend. She leaves us be, and Taka says that he’ll maybe take her up on that and says that sleep is sounding pretty swell. He thanks me for bringing him here and feels like maybe thinks will be okay. He says he’s going to take a nap, and then we can talk later. I walk up to him, and he asks me if I’m not going too far, because he feels like he could sleep better if I am nearby… I don’t know how to take that, but seeing as I am trying to avoid sleep right now, I leave and go introduce myself to the rest of the crew. I head to the northern section of trains, and enter. Inside, I find a PC and… one of Dr. Sigmund’s Orderlies?! She seems to remember me, and asks if I remember her too. She says that we fought once before, at Dr. Connal’s Orphanage. She introduces herself as Stephanie, who the others have taken to calling her “Setphoscope” because of her outfit. She keeps telling them that she is not a doctor herself but complements that Shelly and I were pretty impressive. She reveals that as a result of that incident, the Doctor took a leave of absence from the facility. She laments that it’s hard to forget an event like that, but even so she did not expect to see me here. She came here hoping to avoid everyone and everything that happened, because a while after the Doctor left, they were recruited by Team Meteor, who told them that they would stop receiving wages if they didn’t switch over to working for them. She reveals that most of them were coerced into working for them, and she didn’t even know what happened to the other children. Even under the threat of harm, she still refused to join Team Meteor. When they said they would not let her go, she fled and ran here. She was lucky to find company and shelter, but it is very different compared to her old life. She has been researching how they can be more effectively grow food in this kind of environment so that they don’t struggle so much to get by. Unfortunately, it is hard to adjust to these kinds of people and this kind of living. She does not dare go back to Reborn City until Team Meteor is no longer active. After seeing such a huge surprise, she says she should get back to work. Not just for her own sake, but she’d like to ensure the others can keep living a free life here too. She also adds that trying to get anything to grow with so little water is unreasonable, which is the main problem. Sometimes they have water brought to them, and they can sometimes luck into it at a mirage, but neither of them is really reliable. If they can find even just a single consistent water source in this desert, they would probably be just fine. She assumes that from my increasingly scuffed attire I’ve been traveling a lot. She requests that should I happen to find anywhere in this desert where there might be some kind of water source, I should tell her immediately. However… I already found one with Taka: The Teknite Mountains. She says that is not far at all, and this could be huge. She says that she will start reassessing her options right away, and thanks me. As a token of her thanks, she gives me a stone. She is not sure what its properties are, but she found it while she was out looking for a water source herself before. She ends up giving me the Houndoominite, and says that there may just be enduring hope yet. She is ecstatic, saying that this opens up so many opportunities, and now she’s got to explore what would be the most efficient things to grow, what arrangements, and how they can use them, and how they would handle distribution while minimizing evaporation from the heat. She has a lot of work to do, but thanks to me, she will figure it out. After an odd reunion, I leave Stephoscope to her work. What an odd reunion. Do not worry, Stephanie… I will dismantle Team Meteor, if it is the last thing I do. Maybe then I will get some answers myself. I then meet up with everyone else who has all gathered together. I guess Stephanie didn’t want to be social today. I talk to the guy who’s sitting next to Europa, and he says that they don’t get many new faces around here. He tells me to call him Bouffalant Bill, and if I need anything, he just might be able to hook me up. There isn’t any shortage of odds and ends that they salvaged from the supply trains around here, and tells me to give him a holler if I want to see what he has. He then asks me if I want to know how he got his name… Well, it all started back when his nanny still lived out on Route 1… Europa sighs in dismay, as it’s the same old story again. She then ruins the story by saying that they all heard about how he exploded the bubblegum machine with just a toothpick and Bouffalant’s molar like ten dozen times. She tells him to give it a rest, and he just complains, and asks if I am there to buy something. Once again, they call me Bouffalant Bill… Bouffalant Bill… Bouffalant Bill..~ I then talk to the girl sitting on a train, and she introduces herself as Percy. She asks me if nobody sent me, and if I’m here to cause trouble, then I’m going to have to deal with Bouffalant Bill, who she mentions has a mean right armpit stink. Bouffalant Bill asks her what she’s saying, and Percy laughs at that she got him. Europa agrees with Percy, saying that it is hard to say she’s wrong. Bouffalant Bill says that he’ll just go hop into the nearest river—which Percy will hold her under whenever they find said river. The other man across from them tells her no. Percy says that this is the place to be, and no longer cares about Reborn City because they’ve got the raddest crew in the region. Bouffalant Bill tells her to settle down, or she’s going to fall right off the train. Percy is nonchalant, saying that they have a doctor in the house, even if she’s too much of a party-pooper to actually come socialize. Europa scolds her, telling her not to be so cold about it. She recalls that she herself was pretty timid after she came here, and now look at her. It hasn’t been too long since Stephanie came here, and Europa isn’t so sure she’s actually a doctor. Percy says that at least she talked to them at all, and that it’s like little miss Stephoscope doesn’t even want to try. Europa tells her that she’ll try when she’s ready. I then talk to the last guy, who welcomes me to Train Town. He introduces himself as Alduous, but Al for short. He asks if I have already met his wife, Europa, and reveals that the two of them got a little stir-crazy cooped up in the city, so they decided to hoof it out here to see what kind of adventure they could make. In the end, they never wanted to go back. Over time, they picked up a few stragglers here and there, mostly people looking to escape the city themselves. Miss Percy, for example, was found collapsed out in the desert. Percy defends that she was just taking a nap, which Alduous says that she was face-down in the middle of a sandstorm. Percy responds that she didn’t say it was a well-planned nap, and Alduous hopes I’ll make myself at home here and if I need anything, I should let him or his wife know. He then tells me to feel free to pull up a seat and get comfy, their ragtag gang is always open to new company. He says that the group is pretty much just those that I see with me here, plus Stephoscope, one other guy, and sometimes Miss Titania. While she only stays to chat on occasion, she does look out for them, bringing them food and drink from the city whenever she comes in. Percy chimes in, saying that if they ever have trouble with wild Pokémon, she beats them back for them, while also adding that Titania also said that if her ex ever shows up here, she’d protect her and take him down. She drunkenly states how cool Titania is, and asks if she’s interested in other women. Europa asks her how much she had to drink, to which she replies not enough. I talk to Bouffalant Bill again saying that money will not do me too much good out here and I might as well buy something, but Alduous tells him not to short-change their guests, with Bouffalant Bill saying that Alduous doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I talk to Europa, who says that this is kind of their nightly tradition here. When in good company, a little drink doesn’t last as long, but the spirits sure go a long way. Percy adds unless Bill’s around, who asks her if anyone ever told her to respect her elders. Alduous asks him if he thinks she’d be out here if they had, and Percy says that they told her, but she just didn’t listen. Europa tells me to call it their way of keeping sane up here. With that said, I join in for drink and company. I tell them my story, including everything that has been happening with me recently. Bouffalant Bill thinks that there are voices in my head, but Percy tells me that I should drink to appease the voices. Alduous tells them to knock it off and respects my story. He does remark that Falcone seems to be an odd bird, as normally Pokemon do not break out of their balls to protect anyone like that. All the while we drink the night away, Falcone piercingly gazes into the fire… Europa seems to notice, and wonders what the things he has seen. However, from the gleam of his eye… He quickly screeches, and flies off towards south of the town, towards the door leading deeper within the trainyard! I quickly thank Europa and the others for their hospitality, and run towards the trains in search of my companion. With Taka safe in their hands, I chase after my soaring companion. Falcone… What has gotten into you?! I follow him deep throughout the broken train cars, until I lose him out in the desert. I find an Amulet Coin near a cliff, and find even more broken trains to the west. I ride a functional train, bursting through more rocks. I head back up to where the train stood and find TM19 Roost. I then head back up to where I came from and find a whole pile of trains all clustered together as if it was one, large building. Assuming that is where Falcone flew off to, I head inside as I hear the whispers of an Absol behind me. As I make it through the tunnels of broken train cars, I start to hear Falcone’s shrieks, calling out to me. Falcone: Sorry boss! Once I got a gleam for something shiny in my eye, I just can’t ignore it! Me: Get back here you crazy bird! Falcone: HAH! Gotta catch me first, you old buzzard! I give chase, but as his shrieks get louder, I begin to suffer from disturbing images that flash in front of my eyes. I start to see pieces of it, but I make out a fantasy dreamland-like place, with large ivory towers, albeit tinted red as if it was a nightmare. I press onward, and I even find tall bookshelves inside a train car! As I press onward throughout the train complex, however, the images appear faster right after I pass through a train car that seems to show flowers out the window… The images appear to show a cavern where I see a statue of a dragon. I then see Titania fighting a knight donning ebony armor. She goes and pierces through it, but before I could make out the knight’s identity… the shrieks stop, and it is as if I wake up from a nightmare. I find myself inside a train car full of tall bookshelves, and two double doors. I take two steps forward, ready for whatever waits beyond the doors. Falcone… What are you trying to show me? Trevore's End Chapter Thoughts Falcone... Why are you taking me here? Did you see Titania or the Sapphire Bracelets? The sooner we find them, the better. Maybe she can help Taka too. Speaking of Titania... I hope she's alright. Who is her attacker? Have they come for the Sapphire Bracelets? ............................ Two chapters in one day. Short, yes, but I hope that it makes up for the lack of chapters for so long. I'll try to be a bit more consistent, but well you know, school and all. Like I said, let me know if you like the small subplot I'm slowly building. I tried to add more to it here by adding things that wouldn't actually happen in-game. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading! Stay tuned for more! Team Updates I added Falcone to the characters list. Yes, I know he is a Pokemon, but he has his own motives, it seems... The Story of an Unlikely Hero: Pokemon Reborn Edition

Chapter LXIII: Delusions and Hallucinations Within the Dark, Mirages and Whispers Within the Light! After a sudden collapse, I fall to the sandy dunes into a deep sleep. … What is happening to me? After several minutes of silence, I seem to wake up in this odd, ethereal plane. Like a void of nothingness. I try to find some solid ground, but that I cannot move. I look down with my eyes, but all I can see a body that is not my own. Instead, I see nothing but black mist in the shape of a body, which I assume would be my own body. Why am I covered in black mist? I do not know whether I am falling further into the abyss, or if I am just suspended in place. I have no idea if my face is shrouded in darkness as well, but I do seem to have my senses. Unfortunately, my senses in this strange void are not very good, and I can barely make out what is going on. Just then, I start to hear a machine, faintly whirring from within the void. The soft whirring starts to get louder, as if something is coming closer towards me. Just then, the sounds stop, and all of a sudden, I hear this deafening screech, coming from what I assume to be a Honchkrow… Falcone? Is that you, my dear friend? Just then, it is as if large, black wings and feathers were falling gently from the sky… if there was a sky, that is. The whole plane shifted into one that was reminiscent of a dream-like state, except this was not a dream. The colors shifted from a cold, dark abyss, into one of a dark shade of red, as if the sounds of bloodshed were near. The blood-red abyss glows brighter, the sounds of screeching grew louder, and more frequent, as thousands of black birds (in what I think are Murkrow?) seemed to flock around my cold, motionless body of black mist. I try to move, but to no avail. I can only watch in surprise for what is to come. A moment later when I am completely surrounded by Murkrow and many falling black wings and feathers, the entire murder of Murkrow flock together in a spiraling hole of darkness, and merge to transform… Within the darkness, red eyes gleam, and I hear that deafening screech again. Hearing it more clearly, I understand that this is not the sound of a normal Honchkrow. Just then, a gigantic Honchkrow appears from within the darkness, and I could see the bird of darkness quite clearly. Instead of seeing a blue-feathered, golden beaked Honchkrow like I normally see, I find myself staring at an ebony-colored, dark-beaked creation of eldritch horror. It looked like one of his wings was completely gone, replaced with one that was mechanical, reminiscent of a Skarmory’s wing. In addition, one of his eyes seemed to be covered up with a black and red eye patch (or monocle? I can barely tell). The most damning piece of all is what he wore. He was adorned with a red bow tie, which was very reminiscent of the one I had decorated my dear Falcone with… Falcone… it is you! What happened to you, my dear friend? I tried to call out to my companion, but I could not speak. The words did not come out, as if I could not speak at all. However, it seems that Falcone could somehow hear me, but instead makes a move to strike at me instead. He raises his mechanical wing, ready to strike my motionless body of mist down. However, right before he strikes, I could see something small within his eyepatch… I could see a tiny number within his cold, empty stare… 25%... Right as he shrieks one more time, he descends his wing to make the kill. His enormous body starts to turn back into the murder of Murkrow, who fly to feast on my body of mist, with Falcone’s wing still descending to strike. Right before anything makes contact… I wake up. When I come to, I find myself not only where I was standing, but I find myself staring face to face with... Falcone. Falcone: … Me: … Falcone: …Hey. You. You’re finally awake! My mind is still hazy, but I could clearly hear that the sounds that he made were not regular cries, but words. The cries he did make, however, were not normally heard from Honchkrow. No, not at all. His cries sounded very much like the ones in my dream. If I can even call it that. I look around for Taka, but I cannot find him. Me: Where… where am I? Falcone: Well, you’re certainly not in Ametrine Mountain! Me: Where is Taka? Falcone: He went to go find some water. He’ll be back soon, boss! I start to gain some clarity and turn toward his direction. To my surprise, he looks exactly what I have seen in my dream. He still looked like the same, dark bird with the same beak and claws, but his wing and eye… they were mechanical. He even had the same red bow tie I gave him so many years ago. How… how did I not notice how much you have changed? Falcone: Boss? I still keep staring in silence. This cannot be real… could it? Falcone: BOSS! Suddenly I snap back to reality, or what I think is reality. I can barely speak as to what has happened to my companion. Falcone: Why the long stare, boss? Me: How much time… has gone by? Falcone: Just enough for you to finally wake up! Me: Am I… different too? Falcone: You? Nah, you’re still the same OG to me, boss! What makes me any different? Me: …Your mechanical parts? Falcone: Me? A robot? HAH!! My wings would be nothing but metal, and they’re not! What’s next, I’m beeping too?! I didn’t know you were a comedian, boss! Me: I am not joking. One of your wings is metal, and your eye… Falcone: Boy, you crack me up! You might as well check to see if I’m a robot, boss! Hit me! Me: You want me… to punch you? Have you lost your mind?! Falcone: Not as much as you have! Go on, hit me! See if I’m a robot! You know you want to punch me! I take a deep breath, then charge at my friend with one punch. However, instead of hitting him, I hit nothing… or so I thought. I hear laughter from Falcone, as the mirage disappears, shifting to who I actually hit: Taka. Taka: Dude, what the heck?! In Falcone’s place, was Taka, knocked to the ground. Somewhere in my head, the laughter continues, until it disappears. Me: …What? But he… Falcone was right here! He said you were gone to get some water! Taka: Look man, I get it. I know you really like punching things, but we really need to get you some help. Me: You do not understand… I was trying to see if Falcone was really… Taka: Oh, your bird? He’s just resting up in that abandoned train. Did you know that he saved us? Broke right out of his ball and everything, just to protect us from the wild Pokémon that tried to attack once you fainted! Me: He must have a strong sense of loyalty, then… Because after the hell I have seen, even I am not sure what is real anymore… Taka: What do you mean? He looks just fine. Looks really cool with that bowtie, too. We look over in the abandoned train, and we see Falcone nuzzled in a nest he made. He seems to coo in his sleep, much like a normal Honchkrow. He does not seem to be talking, either. In Taka’s eyes, he looked like a regular Honchkrow (without mechanical parts, I mean), but with black feathers and a gray beak and claws, adorned with a red bowtie. In my eyes… I still could for some reason see him as the beast within my nightmare. Me: Taka… How long was I really out for? Taka: Well… About 10 minutes or so. Me: Really? I could have sworn it was a lot longer. And I did. I thought I was trapped in a hellish nightmare for longer than that. Those birds… The feathers… Falcone… that number within his eye… What does it all mean? Taka: Come on. Let’s go get some rest too. The wild Pokémon won’t attack us inside those abandoned trains. Me: Alright… But the moment you hear anything go south, wake me up. Taka and I go into the same abandoned train that Falcone is resting in, and I see that Taka has already gone to sleep, which I then drift off to sleep as well. In my sleep, I also start to hear some voices, both familiar and unfamiliar to me. However, they are not mine, nor are they Taka’s. I stop in my tracks and try desperately to listen to their sounds. Am I dreaming this? Or is it all in my head again? ???: Wh-- the he-- -r- --u doin-, ??????? ???????: Wh—does – look li--, ????? I’m try--- to re—e—ta—the ----! We --- -have mu—time! ?????: You idio-! You -r- mak--- it worse! I then start to hear a loud booming sound. Something like a door, bursting open? I cannot make out their appearances, but the voices I hear sound familiar and unfamiliar at the same time to me. ???: Get out. ???????: Bu- --y??? ?????: The better question is –y do we nee- this -------?! ???: Shut up. ---------- this ------ is my -------, not yours. Got that? Good. Now get out. I could hear this voice a bit more clearly than the others, but I could only hear about… 30% of what they are saying overall… What does that number even mean…? 30%...? I abruptly wake up after hearing a loud bang (with Falcone's laugh still ringing in my ears), and it is morning already. Taka is already awake. Me: What happened?! Taka: Easy, now. You look like you’ve heard ghosts or something. Me: I heard a loud bang. Did I not tell you to wake me up if anything went south? Taka: You must have been hearing things. Or probably the door just now. I came back with some food. Me: Alright then. Let’s eat first, then see what we can find within the scrapyard. We eat breakfast, then set out into the scrapyard. Trevore's End Chapter Thoughts What is happening to me...? My body feels... different somehow. Even when I wander through this desert, it is as if my body is... cold? Yet I am not dead... Or am I? I have no idea anymore... And Falcone speaks? But he is a Pokemon, Pokemon cannot talk! How is Taka not seeing and hearing all this?! He is right there! 25%... 30%... What does that even mean?! Who was I listening to? I need answers... ............................ Don't worry about him, he'll be fine. So will Taka and Falcone! Probably... Anyways, this is the first chapter I have done where I have just about completely deviated from doing the normal story, and tried coming up with a plot of my own! Why am I writing this so late in the story, you ask? Honestly, I have no idea. Maybe because Reborn looks like it's getting finished soon and I do not really want to rewrite years of work, I don't really know. Plus, it is more of a surprise thing, I guess. If it ends up looking very choppy, I'll probably have to rework these parts, who knows. Let me know what you think of it. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading! Stay tuned for more! Team Updates I added Falcone to the characters list. Yes, I know he is a Pokemon, but he has his own motives, it seems... How is this the first time I am seeing this?! (I really should be around more...) They look like they have seen shit so many times (Especially Madame X), it's awesome. They look really great, and I love it! I will admit, I am gonna miss the old black and red too for most of Xen, but it fits where it is given (like Geara, Cassandra, etc). Even the grunts look really great! Are the Death Wings going to get a similar overhaul (Like with the gray and red), or are they going to stay the same? In the end, the wait will be worth it ten times over. I will not mind the wait one bit. Keep up the amazing work, everybody!

The Story of an Unlikely Hero: Pokemon Reborn Edition
Tringus replied to Tringus's topic in Team Showcase
Now, it might look a bit choppy (I have been working in parts, very slow I know). However, I hope to fine-tune it at some point (Most likely when I get home). With that said, the show must go on!* The chapter is now fixed! (Hopefully) Chapter LXII: Exploration of Tourmaline Desert, And the Truth Of Taka’s Mysterious Ancient Family! Taking my seat on the Grandview train, the door opens, and the train speeds off to Tourmaline Desert. Titania… I hope you are okay! I need to make sure those Sapphire Bracelets are safe! When I get off the train, I find myself in the middle of nowhere. However, a familiar lad is hiding from a tree, and he really hoped I wouldn’t show up. I turn around, and he gets out of the tree and surprises me. He turns away, and apologizes, but he has to stop me here. He is afraid that if he doesn’t, Team Meteor might get rid of him, saying that there’s no reason for him to stay. In fact, he thinks they might already… or that she’s already watching us from somewhere. He reveals that he doesn’t have a choice anymore, as if he ever did. The battle then begins. Taka… There is still time to leave! Leave Team Meteor for good and fight alongside me! We can stand up to your father together! Taka sends out Klefki, while I send out Falcone. I switch out Falcone with Charles, and he knocks out Klefki with a boosted Heat Wave from the desert’s field, but not before being paralyzed by Klefki’s Thunder Wave. Taka sends out Minior, while I send out Pierce. Pierce tries striking Minior down with Metal Claw, but it doesn’t do much damage. After two Earthquakes from Minior, Pierce is down, so I switch out Pierce for Auriol. Auriol charges up with Swords Dance, then beats down Minior with Close Combat. Taka sends out Gliscor, who gets knocked out with an Ice Punch from Auriol. Taka sends out Chatot, who knocks out Auriol with Heat Wave after taking an Extreme Speed. I send out Falcone, who gets wiped out from Chatot’s Z-Move, Breakneck Blitz! I send out Goddard, who finishes it off with Air Slash. Taka sends out Komala, and I send out Aslan, who knocks out Komala with Cross Chop and Darkest Lariat. Taka sends out Alolan Exeggutor, knowing that he can’t win, Aslan tries to strike with Flare Blitz, but no luck. He also strikes with Outrage, but that doesn’t do anything either when Taka finally gives it an Ultra Potion. Aslan gets knocked out by Exeggutor’s Earthquakes, and Taka gives it ANOTHER Ultra Potion. However, after a few Air Slashes from Goddard, who I send back out, the mighty Exeggutor is down. With Taka finally admitting defeat, I win the battle! He says that he can’t win against me, and not against them. He then says that’s it, and turns to say that this is probably the last time I’ll have to deal with him. He apologizes again, and starts to walk away, but says that I can. He tells me that I’ve always been standing up to them, and I’ve always been winning. He turns to ask if I’m going to keep doing that. Well, knowing that we have definitely had our losses, I would say no, not really. Taka asks if that is humility or just a joke, and says I’m starting to sound like him. He admits that maybe we’re not so different, and that maybe… maybe he can be more like me. He asks where that leaves him, and says that when he goes back a failure again, he won’t get another chance, and that I… I will keep fighting. He thinks for a minute, and asks if he can come with me. That’s the spirit! Tell them to shove it! I tell him yes, and he walks up to me telling me the plan. Here’s Taka’s plan: Taka doesn’t have a single clue, so he’s just gonna follow me. He’s gonna try to not get in his way, and he stole a bunch of healing items from base before they sent him here to ambush me, so he can heal my Pokemon when needed. If he can find somewhere safe to hide, he will lay low there for a while. Hopefully long enough to get off of Lin’s radar. After that… we’ll fight Team Meteor together. Here’s MY plan: We explore the whole fucking desert, grab as much shit as we can, discover as much as we can find, and THEN get off Lin’s radar. THEN WE KICK METEOR’S ASS. He follows my lead, and we are off. We find some palm trees, but the first one I find is an Alolan Exeggutor! I accidentally beat it, and Taka is confused, saying that he can’t really blame them, for he too would love to bury himself half-underground and do nothing for hours on end. After I take him to a spot where we’re not disturbed, Taka starts asks if I have any idea where we’re going, saying that frankly he’s never in his life known where he was going. However, he began telling me about things that I might not have heard before. He admits that it feels wrong traveling with someone who was supposed to be his enemy, but then again, his entire life has been wrong, so this feels right after all. He then wonders how long it’ll take the others to realize he’s not coming back, if they haven’t already anyway. He admits that ZEL is going to get chewed out because of him because his father had asked them to keep tabs on me when they weren’t working on the PULSEs. However, he has also heard Zero’s not doing too well lately. Speaking of which, he asks if I remember the guy who was with him and ZEL when we fought in Beryl. Corey? Yeah, I remember him. He says that back then, some of the grunts were saying that I killed him. He says that he wasn’t the friendliest guy. In fact, he never stayed to talk, or did take orders he didn’t have to, and he argued with Sirius all the time. But even then… Taka asks if I would do something like that. Me? Kill him? I’m not the killing type of person. Speaking of which… I think he dropped his Pokeballs somewhere in Tourmaline Desert! However, before I start to run to get them, Taka warns me that they have one more base somewhere in the Carnelia region of Reborn, besides Labradorra. He feels like even if he tells me not to go there, I still won’t listen, but strongly urges that I don’t go. They’ll probably try and lure me there, and it would be really bad if I went… and he doesn’t mean for Team Meteor. I heed his warning, and go to find Corey’s dropped Pokeballs. Sure enough, we find them over where the Beryl Bridge would be, and I grab his Pokeballs. Taka wonders if somebody just dropped them all on accident, but that is far beyond the truth… I find five of them, but Taka and I are shocked to find a sixth one buried in the sand. It must be his Crobat’s… Or maybe the one that is separated from the others at the other rock. Taka says that his heart is racing from escaping like this. Well, either that, or a heat stroke. He says that Team Meteor’s track record isn’t exactly the best, but they’re still the only family he’s ever had. He says that I’ve pretty much ransacked all of their bases by now, and reveals that Lin has been moving everything into Labradorra. Before that, they mostly stuck around the Devon Building, the Workstation, and the Sanctum, and most of his childhood memories are around those places. If I were to guess… I would say that the Workstation is their last base, which is the most dangerous. Taka has given me some vital information today on where they are hiding. Maybe that is where the others went when they went missing! I’ll have to fly there once I’m done with things here in Tourmaline! Taka adds that he’s not the only one I’ve helped turn tail from Meteor, as he’s heard that Cal went off with me too. He says I really have a way of pulling people apart, and says that everything is Lin’s fault, and that woman is chaos inside and out. He asks me if I knew she was narcoleptic, as he can’t tell me how many times they’ve found her collapsed in some random place. No matter what they do, she won’t wake up except on her own. He says that none of this would have happened if it were not for her, for she’s corrupted Team Meteor… both their ends and their means. However, he admits that being out here sure beats being cooped up in Meteor’s drama, as most of the people around there are the opposite of fun. Well, Blake was pretty funny. Taka says that Blake has been around with them for a while, and used to look after him when he was younger sometimes. Blake would die before he would admit it, but Taka thinks that he actually likes kids. Taka admits that he’s not sure if he would even still be out here now if it weren’t for me and the red-haired menace back at the Water Treatment Center, and he thanks me for dealing with him all this time. He reveals that though Sirius may be a subordinate to his father, I should watch out more for him than for Solaris himself. He reveals that Sirius has always had that “history is written by the winners” mindset, but since he’s fallen in with Lin, he’s gotten much worse. He also adds that Elias will probably be looking for him too. Although he doesn’t want to be found by anyone, at least Elias is loyal to his father. However, he can’t imagine having someone act towards me the same way Elias does towards Solaris because he deserves that the least of all. He asks me if nobody is following us, and we continue onward. I start from the bottom and work my way up, finding a Focus Sash, which Taka remarks somebody probably dropped from up in the Beryl Ward, although it isn’t a good idea to wear a scarf in the middle of a desert. You’re telling me, I’m wearing a leather coat. I find a swarm of trees, and a few being Exeggutor. I catch one of them, and beat the rest, and jump to find TM93 Wild Charge. Taka questions why and how Pokemon can learn moves from discs like this, and he questions if he can do the same. He says not this move though, too much energy. We head up the desert, finding junk such as the Relic Copper, shards, and other stuff. We press on, until we find a cave within the sand… We enter the cave, and Taka isn’t sure how this place doesn’t just cave in on itself, but he could say the same about himself. He deems it to be good, and says that now we’ll be less likely to be found here. However, he thinks that there must be something more in this cave, or why would he be remembering this… However, he goes on to say that there was someone in Meteor who really had it out for me, more than normal. He says that Elias brought in a new recruit, and for a while, he was always saying how he was going to get back at me for something. However, he suddenly changed… maybe he got over it. After finding hidden items and talking for a bit, I fall in one of the quicksand holes on purpose, and Taka says that we’re never going to get out of here, so he calls dibs on the left side of the cave. I fall down the next quicksand hole, and we somehow land at the entrance again. This means that Taka does not get the left half. He says that if Trapinch were at the bottom of the sand holes, it would be the end of us. However, it does feel like a huge deja vu trip for him somehow… We head up, and find some stairs… Taka, I can see why you wanted left side of the cave. We head upstairs, and Taka stops me. He thinks he knows this place, and tells me to get a closer look. We read one of the statues, and he says that he was here before, and the statue wasn’t broken then. He wonders how long ago it was. He can’t read the statues, but he recognizes them, as he wonders why. We head onwards, and find a pair of Arceus statues. Yup, this is a holy place too… Before we try to climb, we end up sliding down the steps, which Taka says that there should be stairs here. He sees that they must have flattened out to this slide to keep intruders out again. “Again?” Taka asks if we can look around some more, saying that there’s definitely a way to get past this. I first go down the far-right hole at the entrance area, and then I climb the ladder, and fall through the middle one all the way at the end. Then I climb the ladder, and find myself at one of the sides with the Arceus statues. Taka says that there will be a button, all I need to do is press it. Nothing happens, which means we need to press the other one. Taka vaguely remembers doing this before... with his father. This time, I head to the far-left hole at the entrance. I climb the ladder, go through the top-right hole, and climb the ladder. I find myself in a dead end, but end up finding the Draco Plate. I repeat my steps, except I fall through the left hole, just left of the pot in one of the rooms. I fall through the top hole after I climb a ladder from a rocky trail, and climb another ladder. When I emerge, I find a clear view of a rocky doorway. I go through, and find the other Arceus statue. Taka encourages me to press it, and I do. The room shakes, and the slide transforms into stairs before our eyes. I talk to Taka again, and he says that his father says that whatever happens to Reborn City is its own fault. After his grandparents’ deaths, the founders built Reborn City on top of the holy Citadel, trying to hide it. It was the ultimate insult to their forebearers’ culture, or whatever that’s supposed to mean. We climb the stairs, and Taka tries to read the statue but can’t. We enter the cave, and Taka suddenly remembers now. He reveals when he was young, his father took him here with him once. It was before he really got involved starting Team Meteor. They explored these ruins together looking for something… According to Taka, it was one of the very few positive memories he actually has of him, but he feels uneasy about this room. He can’t remember why, but he feels like we should be careful. We walk through the chamber of Garchomp statues, and in the middle, we hear several Garchomp roars. Taka suddenly remembers why we needed to be careful, and tells me to run. The Garchomps all start moving, and just like that, I quickly avoid them all, finding time to breath while sneaking my way around them all. I can’t fight them now because my team is still weak. Fighting one Garchomp is fine, but many of them? Hell no! After we evade the Garchomp statues, Taka asks if his heart attack is over. He sees that it’s over, and he asks if there were years shaved off of life, and responds with yeah. He doesn’t think they’ll follow us out here, and he can’t believe he forgot about that. Solaris told him at the time it was some kind of trial left for them by their family, but he can’t help but think that was absolutely not necessary. He remembers seeing the statues before, and wonders how long ago it was. He thinks they say something about a guardian legacy, or something. We find TM71 Stone Edge next to an Arceus statue and a light shard. Taka wonders if that was Solaris’ TM, and if he left it here, he probably intended for Taka to use it someday. He says I should take it, as he’s not going to live up to his father’s corrupted legacy anyway. I step on the alter and push the button on the Arceus statue. The whole room starts shaking, and Taka was high-key worried he just condemned us both death by having me press this place’s self-destruct button. However, it looks like there are some sand pits in the ground where there weren’t before. We fall through one of the sand pits, and Taka sees that there was somewhere below there, too. However, he quickly remembers that this is where his father met his Garchomp. Well, it was just a Gible at the time, and… he remembers that he tried to get one for him too, but he didn’t want it. He doesn’t remember why, and when they left, Solaris said that Taka ruined the whole trip by not catching one. He says so much for a positive memory, and he forgot about that entirely, and maybe he should’ve just gone with it even though he didn’t want to. He was just a kid, and he probably didn’t have much of a reason. Then again, maybe refusing to take the Pokemon left for me by their bloodline was just proof that he’d eventually leave them and come here with me. So… he still doesn’t want it. However, if I want to look for a Pokemon like that, he’ll support me. He thinks it may not come out through normal means, but he remembers something about having to leave an offering and then coming back later. However, he tells me that Team Meteor wasn’t always like this… Originally, they just looked after the Citadel. His dad said that his parents were more like shrine keepers than anything. I go up to a basin, and he says that if we’re talking about an offering, these basins are probably where it was left. There seem to be a lot of them, and he wonders if this was a place for many more people in the past. His father said their family used to be much larger and much more influential. Falling into decline is just the way of the world. He says if I happen to have anything Pokemon might like, I should try putting it in the basins. I fill one with PokeSnax, and he says that should be enough, hoping that something will come for it. As I’m filling up the basins with PokeSnax, I find the Medichamite! Taka was expecting a Garchompite, given the room upstairs. Then again, there’s no way his father wouldn’t have that. After filling all of the basins up, Taka reads the inscriptions. One has nothing, despite being in good condition (the inscription is gone), and the other says something about a “tradition of honor”. No wonder Solaris always said such boring things to Taka. As I enter the Garchomp chamber again (Because we have to come back and all), Taka asks me if I hate his father... After everything that man has done… After he did a lot of crimes he cannot undo… I have one thing to say about that man… I do not hate him. I can see a formidable opponent when I see one, and after learning about how he has lost so much? I cannot hate him for it. He has lost so much… His family, his home, his family’s history… Even his organization has been taken away from him, and all of their values are corrupted all because of Lin. Lin is the one to blame. However, I can understand why Solaris hates Ame, too… But that didn’t mean she had to die. I know it wasn’t his fault… But the next time I see him… I want to give him a true battle. One fair final fight, to test our resolves. No Lin, no bullshit, no nothing. A fight to save the world… That is what I want. Solaris… I do not hate you. Taka is surprised, and asks even after everything, and he silently thanks me. The Garchomps come to life again, and he asks if we realllly have to do this again. We run through the Garchomp, and make it back to the basins. Most of them are empty, but we eventually find a Gible. I make an approach, and it runs. We find it at another, and it skids off again. Taka says we weren’t even that close, and wonders if it was even looking. We try going to it again at another, but when I walk up to it, it runs off again! Taka says that it’s starting to feel hopeless, and it runs off when it goes back to the one we were just at. Taka says that he would say something like, let’s split up and corner it between us, but as long as it can go underground, he doesn’t think it’d make a difference. I go to another one, and he suggests we try to get a jump on it. I go and find a spot where I know I can jump behind Gible, and fill it up with PokeSnax. I leave, and go through the Garchomp Gauntlet yet again, and get the drop on Gible. To my surprise, it is actually a SHINY Gible, and so I catch it. I name it Alcantara, after Taka’s family legacy. Taka is surprised I caught it, but he’s kind of glad. He doesn’t care about family or tradition or anything like that, but it would be sad if this place and that Pokemon were forgotten altogether. He tells me to consider it a gift from him, and he gives me history, so that he doesn’t need to walk in its shadow anymore. He then asks me my biggest secret, if it is why I hardly say anything, then he just spaces out. He says that none of this would have happened if it were for that woman… The Champion of Reborn, who created the Pokemon League and advertised it across the world like some kind of fairground. She closed up the old city’s wounds, hiding the Citadel again. He questions regardless of anyone’s ideals, why bother just building over a ruin instead of preserving it, and he says it sounds like something he’d pull. He then asks me if I ever met a girl named Luna in my travels, and he says that she was one of his only friends growing up. Then she ran away… Just like him now. He thinks about her a lot, and also adds that if I see her again, I should tell her… he cuts himself off, saying that he thinks it’s his fault that she’s become as delusional as she is. After all, if he hadn’t been born, she wouldn’t have had to be in that position. He adds more about Lin, saying that she never talks except when giving orders or spitting on others, and that she’s more like a robot than a human, but even less empathetic. He spaces out, then apologizes for being a burden all this time. We continue on in the desert, and we find a Max Elixir. Taka feels bad for the Pokemon who died here, but at least the sand will give them a proper burial in time, which is probably all he can ask for too. We head north, pass up a scrapyard of trains to go to the northern desert. We find TM08 Bulk Up, and Taka wonders how this car even got all the way over here. He wonders how any of these trains even got to where they are, and how did he, maybe he’s just another train. We press further north, but Taka warns me that we might not safely go further than this… He says that the sandstorm looks like a bad time waiting to happen, and he doesn’t think it’s going to blow over soon. He says we should go back for now, so we head to the cave nearby. When we head inside the cave, Taka is relieved to be out of that mess out there. He wonders what this place is, and I don’t have any idea either, so here we go again. I find a hidden Tamato Berry, and he wonders if I’m going to eat that. I grab the Dawn Stone, which Taka likes it. He also asks me what’s up with that Fern guy. He tells me that Fern joined recently, but everyone just complains about him. He asks if Fern and I were friends. Ha, ha, ha… Fern was NEVER my friend, okay? He was always a fucking asshole to me, even when he SAID he would be nice. Makes sense, he always couldn’t match up with my flames. Next time I see him, I’m making sure he goes packing home. Taka then asks me what my parents are like, and tells me I’ve seen how his father is. And his mother—was just that. He tells me that she was hired to have him, and then she went on her way, but that’s not normal. Poor, poor Taka… She was a one-night stand kind of person, and I don’t even think she and Solaris did the deed, either. If they did, well then that’s just prostitution right there. It’s alright, Taka. You’re with me now, so we’re gonna take Team Meteor out! Because the area is filled with light, I have Persian (Yes, I brought him with me) use Power Gem, and he lights up the whole room. Taka is confused, and he asks me if I’m slipping him ‘Rare Candies’. I go use the red crystal, and the wall turns red, confusing Taka even more. He asks me what I am doing, as I silently walk over to it and start punching it. He asks me what in the world I am doing, and as the door breaks down, he asks me if I always just punch my way through things when they’re in the way. I turn around, look at him in the eye, and say “Yes.” He gets silent, but accepts it. When we light up the next room, he accepts it, and says it looks nicer like this anyway. Shortly after, I smash the green crystal, and make the place a regular cave again. Then I light it up once I’m through, and use the red crystal and smash the door. It is then, that young Taka understands why I punch. We break the cave down again, and head through the left part, where we find a waterfall. Taka is surprised to see something like this out here, and hopes it doesn’t disappear when we approach it. He lets me know he can’t swim, as his father didn’t exactly deign to enroll him in the afterschool swimming club as a kid. He apologizes, and I light the room up again with crystals. He knows his father has done no shortage of destructive things, but he isn’t all bad. Solaris’ dream for Reborn is what his childhood was like—a small community in reverence to our world’s creator. The one who’s really dangerous is Lin. For the third time, he asks me if I hate his father, and I say no, again. We light the room with the waterfall, and I use the blue crystal to make an ice bridge. Taka says that’s convenient, with no swimming necessary. Or punching, for that matter. However, the room we go to is a dead end, but at least there’s TM84 Poison Jab. Before I go further in the cave, I head back out and go to the scrapyard. I find he says that this place feels nostalgic. Not that he’s been here before or anything, but the rust, the smell, and concrete, and the thin layer of dust that tracks everywhere you step… He’s spent a lot of nights in a room like this. We go on ahead, and he asks if I’m out here for a gym battle, and if there is really a gym out here in this clusterfuck. He asks if his father is concerned for him, and he is the only one who can’t seem to get it together. At least not faithfully. He asks if I think there’s food in some of these trains and says he always wanted to crash trains into a pile of scrap metal, and being with me makes dreams come true, or something. He says that everyone who is connected to Lin is crazy, like the girl Terra. Everyone talks about her like her technical ability is unrivaled, but she’s almost never around the bases, and then when she is, they end up having to repair a ton of stuff. However, Lin always insists she stays anyway. He also asks me if I had something to do with the doctor guy joining them recently, and he says that the Doctor creeps him out so much. He’s almost stalking Lin, like he’s obsessed with her or something. Taka also relates to these trains on a spiritual level. I then decide to head further in the desert before going back to Tekinite Cave, and find a large, desolate patch of land. We find TM27 Return, and Taka says that the water is probably undrinkable, but he would probably drink it in a pinch. We go back to the large part of the desert, and I go back to the oasis I found, and use the Light Shard. The whole oasis disappears, as if it was a mirage. Taka is surprised, and wonders if that was just a mirage. He says that there’s no way we could have walked up to it that close and just touch it if it were just that. He gets confused, and we keep going. We scour the desert to find another mirage oasis, and we do further south than the one we were at. It disappears, and Taka isn’t going to get used to that. We head to the left side of the desert (The likely spot for the next mirage), and find one a little bit to the north. It disappears, which is the metaphor for Taka’s life. We then head back to the spot with the large desolate patch of land, only to see lush green with a large, imposing tower. We enter it, and Taka feels like he’s seen this place before. He asks me if we can check it out, and I kinda want to as well. We go to the pedestal that isn’t blocked, and Taka sees that it looks like it’ll slide around this surface area. He asks if I want to just try stuff, and I do. I slide it to the little white circle on the floor, and it slides the other one that is blocked as well. It opens a path upwards, to a flight of stairs. Taka says there’s probably more like this going upwards too. He doesn’t really get this mechanism too well, so he’ll be counting on me. However… I feel a strong urge to punch the glass around the room. So I do. After I punch every breakable glass wall in the room, Taka confronts me for an intervention. He’s starting to think I might have a punching addiction, and that this is an intervention. He says that we can get me help. Taka sees a hole, and says it leads downwards. When we submerge, we find ourselves in a dark, musty cavern underneath the tower. With no Pokemon to flash the room, we walk aimlessly. While picking up random things, Taka hopes that his father doesn’t take it too hard when he hears the news because he never really got over losing his own parents the way he did. He tells me that Solaris fights so hard to preserve Reborn’s history because he’s always in fear of losing things from the past. I can respect that. Eventually, we somehow find our way to a Mimikyu, who is right next to a Poison Memory. When I pick it up, Taka asks me if we can leave now, but I stay for the Mimikyu. I catch it, but Taka asks me what I was fighting just then, as if I was fighting nothing. He tells me that there wasn’t anything there, but I kept acting like there was… What the hell? We head back upstairs, we are back at the main entrance. We climb the stairs, and Taka deduces that regardless of if he’s been here or not, the architecture in this place is the same as the Citadel… That should mean that this place was made by his ancestors too. We find ourselves in a similar room as before, which means the puzzle is the same. I solve the puzzle, and more stairs magically appear, which somehow Taka didn’t expect to happen. We climb the stairs, but somehow, we end up not climbing up to the next room. Maybe I did the puzzle wrong? We climb down, and surprisingly, the puzzle is different, with the other stairs gone. Man, this place is starting to get weird. Taka agrees with my statement, as when I solve the next puzzle, a new path of stairs appear, which means we are on the right path. He says that it might have been made by his forebearers but wonders why they would make it so confusing. As we go up the stairs, we end up going down again, with everything getting worse as we keep going up. Taka starts to wonder if they did this on purpose, and as I solve the next puzzle, he wonders where the next flight of stairs is. When we head back to the ones we were just at, we see that somehow, the new flight of stairs is on top of the other one. We continue our climb, and see that it is getting waaaaay too weird. To the point where even the doors and walls are distorted. We keep descending for some reason, to a point where we skip a floor entirely, into the next room. We descend to a point where we eventually find the next puzzle, which is a bit trickier, but I still succeed. However, instead of new stairs magically appearing, we hear glass breaking, revealing a new path. When we go through the cracked corridor, we find ourselves in the same room we just skipped, but now we can solve the puzzle. Taka finds himself dizzy, while I find myself dizzy from doing all of these puzzles. When I finally get done with the puzzle, Taka says that shouldn’t even be physically possible. You mean the stairs to the sideways door, or that last puzzle? We climb the stairs, and as we go through a long stairway corridor, he says that this is like the mirror funhouse he never got to go to as a kid. Trust me, kid, you don’t wanna go into the House of Mirrors. You will never be the same. Somehow, the stairs turn, and we’re walking sideways. On stairs. Seriously. What the fuck. WHAT THE FUCK… We end up heading BACK OUTSIDE, after all of that. Taka is also visibly confused, and wonders what was even the point. He wonders if we took a wrong turn somewhere, but honestly? I don’t think that we’re actually outside... We decide to go away from the tower, but that’s where things get REALLY trippy… Oddly enough, we end up fighting wild Pokemon here, but at the same time, the further we go down, the more it’s like the world around us is decaying into distortion. To the point where it is just nothing but black and white. When we find ourselves in but a room, where it is nothing but a grand chamber, with a sword on a pedestal. Taka asks if it is over and sees that this might be the top. I pick up the Normalium-Z on the left, and TM61 Will-O-Wisp on the right before walking up to the pedestal. Taka says that the text on the pedestal is way too faded to read, but all he can see is something about “being chosen” and “distortion”. As I go to pick up the shiny sword, Taka stops me. “This is… … I remember now. My father took me here once, when I was very young. He told me a story about our family. A long time ago, Arceus created the world as we know it. He also had to retroactively create the method for his arrival on that world. This was the meteor which our family dedicated themselves and their culture to protecting. But there was another legendary Pokemon that appeared in Reborn, too—Giratina.” “It appeared here after the world’s creation, and its very presence began to distort Arceus’ holy ground. So, that legendary Pokemon became the enemy of our ancestors. They fought, and they won, and supposedly Giratina left the region forever. But even today, there are many distortions in Reborn that could be said to be caused by Giratina’s past influence.” “This tower… …is not one of them. I remember my father telling me that our ancestors made this place to train themselves to withstand Giratina’s distortions. After the Pokemon’s defeat, it became a tradition to climb the Tower. And enshrined at the top was… That.” Taka then tells me that I can go ahead and take the sword, but I don’t. He questions why, even after all that. He also does appreciate how I helped solve those puzzles downstairs, and says it might be easier if I could see it from above. You don’t say… He asks if that is my secret, which it is. I then decide to take the sword, which turns out to be a Honedge! I name it Deathbringer (Might rename it Godslayer though), and Taka says that the original weapon that defeated Giratina… is probably not that one. Who knows if something like that could even still be around by now? However, he mentions that this should be similar. Maybe a descendent, like he is. However, he admits he is not suited to this. He may have the slayer’s blood in him, but by now, even water must be thicker than it. He tells me that whether I end up turning this sword on Giratina or Arceus, he wants me to take it. He then says we should get out of here, so we leave and head back to the cave, but not before sightseeing some trains. He can relate to the trains on a spiritual level, and wonders if there’s any food. He’s always wanted to crash trains into a pile of scrap metal, but being with me makes dreams come true, or something. He also wonders if there’s really anything out here in this mess, other than a gym. We head back to where we were in Teknite Cave. We then head out from the exit from the other room, where we make it to Teknite Ridge. Taka is relieved to be out here and says that punching was worth it after all. We climb across the ledges, move the boulders out of the way, and make it to the cave on the left side, and find ourselves in the dead-end room, but on higher ground. When we make it a part with a bunch of trees. Taka says that this would be a decent place to hide, if it wasn’t for all the wild Pokemon everywhere. He may have healing items, but he only has so many. We make it to the middle, where I find TM98 Power-Up Punch. Taka saying that this is far as we can go here. However, the view is nice. He confesses that this might be weird, but…he’s glad he could see it with me. Maybe if he can run far over the horizon… Then we’ll finally learn to be happy. We head back where we went from, but the other exit this time. Taka admits that despite being above the desert, it’s almost chilly out here. Must be that breeze. He warns me that some of these rocks look precarious, and although he is not really good with heights, he will follow me as best as he can. We climb over to the north side of the ridge, and find Field Effect Read-Out 27, which is the Mountain field. Taka feels like he can see half the world from here, or maybe it’s just bigger than his world’s ever been. We press onward, and find a lonely Rowlet egg, sitting on top of a mountain! I then decide to get rid of all the sandstorm by having one of the wild Pokemon use Tailwind, so that we can cool off. However, what I didn’t notice was that the wind lets me jump farther up here! Taka even says that a breeze like this could blow me right off the mountain, or across it… He says that feels like a stretch though. With this wind, I’m able to cross the rocks on the mountain and save the Rowlet egg from getting blown off of the nest! Taka asks me if it is really okay to just take that, but then again, with gusts this strong, that egg might very well have had a big fall and not been put back together again. Honestly, he agrees, but thanks me for taking them both in. We then make our way towards the south-east side of the ridge and grab myself an Ice Memory. Taka is not sure what is more unsafe: Hopping across all this rock like it is a thing people do, or the entire rest of his life. I then make my way left and pick up the Pidgeotite perched on a nest! Taka asks me if I remember that time when he said crossing the mountain using the wind was a stretch, and well… consider him stretched. We head back to the train scrapyard, and start riding around in trains. As we move, Taka tells me to watch where I’m steering, and to remind him to never let him drive him anywhere again. Actually, it wouldn’t be such a bad end with me. We end up finding the Steel Memory, but exploring this scrapyard is a lot harder than we thought… The moment I first take a step, I falter, and mysteriously collapse to the ground, unresponsive… What… what is happening to my body? I have… to keep… going… Trevore's End Chapter Thoughts HOLY SHIT, it has been forever. I have been away for so long, I almost forgot where I was. First of all, it is shocking that Taka ran away from Team Meteor, but then again it is not. He has been helping me in more ways than one, and honestly, I could not be more grateful. He heals my team whenever they are low on health, he has given me extremely useful information about the rest of Team Meteor, and some neat information about himself. Second, what is happening to my body??? This is not normal at all. Taka, send hel- ............................ Oh, don't worry about me. Well, him. He will be fine... Who am I? I am Trevore. He's Trevore. Well I am the one writing this story! What you read in the ending is a teaser of what is to come. You see, I was thinking to myself "How can I make this story less boring?" Well, it took some shower thoughts... okay I lied, I was actually thinking of this while I was working outside in the cold. But I want to give more than what I feel to be a... generic story. I want to give my own twist on my adventure throughout Reborn, so that when I eventually get to the end, it all comes together! Erm, excuse me. I have no idea what came over me. But yeah, you get the idea! Currently I am on my last semester of school, but I think I have spent too long without doing anything. It is time I make myself more productive, which is why the show is back on! Sure, I may have been away for a long time, but just remember... I am always watching. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading! Stay tuned for more! Team Updates I moved Taka from Team Meteor to Team Reborn. This whole time, he has done nothing but help me, and he even ran away from Team Meteor. Hell, he ran away from his father! How can I not take him under my wing? Welcome to the team, Taka! The Story of an Unlikely Hero: Pokemon Reborn Edition

Forgive my tone earlier, I did not mean to be so corny with my message (XD)! Again, I am just really glad to hear that people still have an interest in reading these. I don not know if anyone remembers, There were a few other projects like this one that I was working on, like the main games (and then some), but I had to scrap just about near all of them just for the sake of finishing this one! Shame on me for not sticking through. I think a big part of it was "how can I make this story ten times better?" I originally thought of just reworking the entire story from the ground up in honor of the newer chapters and how they change things, but I think I'll save that idea for another story... I kinda want to respect and honor the older episodes, as I believe that Reborn certainly has come along way, along with other projects! I have a few ideas for how I can connect the stories together, and I am hoping they stick well (I kinda thought of these on the fly while working in the cold, but trust me, I think it will be worth it!). I will have to find time to get cracking again, I have been away for far too long. Originally, I was going to put the trainyard in the same chapter as the rest of the stuff I did with Taka, but I think I have an idea for what I can put in instead of that (The trainyard stuff will be moved to the next chapter). Let's just say that things will become quite... interesting. -

Holy gazooks, it has been forever, hasn't it? Never fear! For I am here! To be honest with ya, I've been quite busy trying to just get done with MSU. I WILL say that I have actually been working on a new chapter though, just in a different document so I don't lose everything. I know it might be spoilers, but I'm currently wandering around with Taka in the story. I did just about everything else I believe, but I admit, I'm currently stuck in the trainyard... And I don't really say this often, but um... Anybody got a solution? To be honest, I'm very thankful that there is still some interest (I'm so sorry for being late!). I hope to find more time to finish the game. I have been bored recently, so you my friend might have given me inspiration again! Soon tm -

Greetings, Trainers. Agent Trevore here. Yes, I know it has been a while since I have been here, but I have been paying very close attention to Pokémon and the upcoming games Pokémon Sword and Shield. Even though it has been a while playing the games, I cannot help but think something darker is beneath the surface. What surface do I speak of? Look around... Cross-Generational Evolution of Pokémon in Gen 4 (And of course, Gens 2 and 3), Mega Evolution in Gen 6, and even Regional Variants of Pokémon in not only Gen 7, but Gen 8 as well. One could even say that Dynamaxing and Gigantimaxing could be a part of this. To a lesser extent, one could also say that Z-Moves could be a part of this dark truth, but personally, I think that those serve a higher purpose... However, it might not be too far off. Regardless, the following information that I am about to tell you may be shocking. You may begin to question why Game Freak would even continue to make new mechanics like these. However, I believe that this is the truth behind the phrase "It All Comes Together". First, let us take a look at cross-generational evolutions and regional variants. Cross-generational evolutions are when Pokémon of previous generations undergo an evolution beyond what was believed to be their final evolutions. For example, In the Kanto region, it was originally believed that a Zubat could only evolve into a Golbat, and nothing more. In the Hoenn region, it was originally believed that Roselia would only be a Roselia, and nothing more. However, in the Johto region, Golbat could evolve into a Crobat, and in the Sinnoh region, not only could Roselia evolve into a Roserade, but could also be bred and reproduce Budew. Some might ask "How is this possible?" or "Why in Arceus' name did we get BUDEW of all things?" Well, I am about to tell you. You could say that Game Freak wanted to revitalize the series by bringing back cross-generational evolutions, and that is most likely one of the reasons. Because of cross-generational evolutions, we have received amazing evolutions of old Pokémon. To this day, Honchkrow is one of my favorites, and I even have mine, Falcone. One could say that Baby Pokémon such as Budew were also a result of this idea of cross-generational evolutions. That, I have no doubt is true. Regional variants, however, have recently surfaced in the Alola and Galar regions. Regional variants are when older Pokémon go to a certain region and adapt, changing into a different form. For example, Exeggutor might be short outside of the Alola region, but can be really, really long and huge inside the Alola region. In Galar, regional variants have undergone evolutions of their own, as Linoone in the Galar region, for example, can evolve into a completely new Pokémon, such as Obstagoon. However, what is very strange, is that Pokémon such as Farfetched (Who does not currently have a Galarian variant) can evolve into a new Pokémon as well, called Sirfetched. However, a Linoone that is outside of the Galar region cannot evolve into its own variant of Obstagoon. It was not until a major discovery in the Kalos region were Pokémon allowed to evolve even beyond what they have become. Next, let us dive into mega evolution. Mega evolution is a type of evolution in the Kalos and Hoenn regions that Pokémon undergo with the use of a mega key (such a mega ring, mega bracelet, etc.) and mega stone, when the bond between trainer and Pokémon is strong, transforming Pokémon into stronger versions of themselves, enhancing their stats, and even changing their abilities and/or types. The energy that flows from mega evolution is said to be the life essence between trainer and Pokémon. For example, a Ralts can evolve into a Kirlia, and then Gardevoir or Gallade, and nothing more. However, because of mega evolution, both Gardevoir and Gallade can mega evolve into stronger versions of themselves. However, this form of evolution is temporary, as Pokémon that undergo mega evolution revert to their normal states at the end of a battle. It is believed that Rayquaza is the first Pokémon seen to have undergone this transformation, when humanity met Rayquaza for the first time. Some, however, like Charizard and Mewtwo, can actually have two different mega evolutions as well. Mega evolutions can enhance a Pokémon’s power in terms of appearance, stats, and type changes, but what about moves? Z-Moves. Z-Moves are a type of move in the Alola region in which a trainer and Pokémon become one in mind and body and unleash a powerful attack that is made of the power of both trainer and Pokémon. They are devastating attacks that use the full strength of not only Pokémon, but trainers as well. To use a Z-Move, one must have a Z-Ring, and a Z-Crystal. To master it, requires a strong bond between trainer and Pokémon. Any Pokémon can use Z-Moves, but only some can use specific Z-Crystals. In addition, Pokémon can use this on specific moves (such as status moves) to enhance said moves. While mega evolution changes appearances and stats, Z-moves make moves stronger. What is a good balance between the two? Dynamaxing and Gigantimaxing are two of the newest phenomena that occur in the Galar region. Both are temporary transformations in which Pokémon can grow into gargantuan sizes and supercharging their moves and stats in battle. The difference between Dynamaxing and Gigantimaxing, however, is that Gigantimax Pokémon change their appearances as well, as well as use G-Max Moves, which are new, exclusive moves in comparison to Max Moves, which are just supercharged versions of regular moves. Not much else is known about these strange phenomena, but their existence is proof enough of a theory that I have been coming up with... In recent events, we have been tracking down a threat that has resurfaced after nearly fifteen years or being shut down. New organizations like Team Yell and Team Skull have nothing on these guys. But first, let me ask you this. How many of you know what these are? Shadow Pokémon. Scourges of the Pokémon World. Shadow Pokémon are Pokémon that are corrupted into monsters of darkness, used for wrongful acts. Their creation involves in artificially closing their hearts and removing their emotions, a process that was administered and carried out by the organization known as Cipher of the Orre region. With the help of Team Snagem, the organization that would capture and steal Pokémon, Cipher would create these weapons of destruction, distribute them to various colosseums, and have them fight in illegitimate competitions. However, these Shadow Pokémon are biologically the exact opposite of normal Pokémon. Instead of normally being docile and friendly, Shadow Pokémon will not hesitate to go full force on their attacks, which are modified to be much stronger than a normal Pokémon move. Moves such as Shadow Rush and Shadow Blitz, for example, are super effective against every type of Pokémon, but are not very effective against each other. Shadow Pokémon would not only attack other Pokémon, but they would attack trainers themselves. Despite their raw power, Shadow Pokémon do have their weaknesses. Shadow Pokémon are unstable and can undergo what is known as Hyper Mode or Reverse Mode, depending on what game it is, a frenzy where they hurt themselves, and disobey orders, along with various other actions. There are a few differences, but one thing is known is that when one breaks it from Hyper Mode and Reverse Mode, it opens the heart of the Shadow Pokémon by a little bit. Once a Shadow Pokémon’s heart is fully open, it can undergo purification, which is done from the use of the Relic Stone, a Time Flute, or the Purification Machine from Pokémon HQ, that was in development. However, five years after the dormancy of Shadow Pokémon, Shadow Pokémon were refined. Project XD001, known as Shadow Lugia, was the first Shadow Pokémon to be modified to the extent where it was nearly impossible to be purified, and was the first to be created under Project XD, a Shadow Pokémon project in which Cipher plotted to create an army of Shadow Pokémon that were purification-proof. However, Project XD001 was undone with the use of the Purification Machine, and after the Cipher Key Lair and Citadark Isle were shut down, Shadow Pokémon were put to an end. Or so we thought... Years after Cipher’s defeat, a Mewtwo that was in the Ferrum region was corrupted by a strange stone called the Shadow Synergy Stone and became known as Shadow Mewtwo. Like XD001, Shadow Mewtwo was also corrupted, and had dark alterations compared to its normal self. The Shadow Synergy Stone was opposite of Synergy Stones of the region, as it corrupted Mewtwo to serve its own needs. Shadow Mewtwo traveled across Ferrum, draining Gaia power from synergy stones and continually increasing its own power. Being one of the most powerful Pokémon in existence, the thought of Mewtwo being corrupted by a similar darkness that corrupted Lugia was dangerous to even think about. We even had reports that it could Mega Evolve as well, evolving into what we call Shadow Mewtwo-X, becoming twice as terrifying with even more twisted alterations. Shadow Mewtwo even made its own corrupted realm, and our team tried to analyze what that field was made of. Before we could send our Shadow Pokémon Snag Squad to neutralize the threat, it seems to have resolved when Mewtwo reverted to its normal state, free of any corruption it once had. We currently do not know if it could have been purified via the Relic Stone, a Time Flute, or even the Purification Machine, but since it did have alterations similar to Lugia when it was XD001, we decided to call Mewtwo XD002, since it was the second known Pokémon to be corrupted to the point of no redemption of purification. With these two XD Shadow Pokémon, we keep asking ourselves: Who is Cipher, and what exactly was their plans with Shadow Pokémon? At the time of Shadow Pokémon’s beginnings, Cipher was an organization that was administered by four individuals: The eccentric dance loving Miror B, the brute enforcer Dakim, pop idol “Lady” Venus, and Cipher’s cold and calculated head scientist, Ein. Ein would create the Shadow Pokémon in a facility in a previously unknown location in the desert, and Venus would use an underground subway train in The Under, used to take Shadow Pokémon from the Shadow Pokémon Lab to The Under, where Venus would distribute them alongside Miror B. to winners of the Under Colosseum and Pyrite Colosseum respectively. Dakim, however, seemed to be the enforcer and muscle out of the four admins. They tried as hard as they could to keep the Shadow Pokémon project running smoothly, such as kidnapping and silencing those who could see Shadow Pokémon (a young girl named Rui, for example), trying to destroy the Relic Stone to prevent purification of Shadow Pokémon, and many more atrocities. The four admins answered to their chief executive, Nascour. However, once Nascour was defeated at Realgam Tower (Which served as the headquarters of Cipher at the time), it was revealed that a short, unnatural-looking man by the name of Evice was the man pulling the strings, disguised as Phenac City Mayor Es Cade. We were able to recover Ein’s files, thanks to Agents Wes and Rui. How is a former member of Team Snagem a member of the International Police, you might ask? Well, after blowing up Team Snagem’s base and putting a stop to Evice’s plans with the Snag Machine, headquarters sent them an invitation to join. They along with Agent Michael, who stopped Cipher for good, are the leaders of the Shadow Pokémon Snag Squad. Like Wes and Rui, Michael also received an invitation to join the International Police, since Cipher was not just an organization in Orre. Cipher is much larger than just Orre. Five years after Cipher’s defeat in the Orre region, Cipher seemed to have returned, with all new admins. Dakim, Venus, and Ein were nowhere to be found, and with Nascour and Evice behind bars, someone else was pulling the strings. As for Miror B, he left Cipher and became a wanderer, trying to form his own gang, Team Miror. Cipher was now administrated by Lovrina, Snattle, and Gorrigan. Lovrina was Cipher’s new Research and Development team, while Snattle was aiming to be Cipher’s political leader. Gorrigan, although he seemed to look very dull, was smart enough to run Cipher Key Lair, Cipher’s factory that manufactured Shadow Pokémon. Together, the trio worked to try and make XD Shadow Pokémon. First, Professor Krane from the Pokémon HQ Lab was kidnapped and taken to the abandoned Shadow Pokémon Lab on Lovrina’s orders, so she could try and force him to help perfect XD001. After that plan failed, Snattle launched a full assault on Phenac City, kidnapping every citizen and locking them all in the basement of Phenac City’s Pre-Gym. This was done for Gorrigan and his team to go to the wreckage of S.S. Libra and kidnap the remaining Pokémon that were there without any interruptions. Once they succeeded their mission, they retreated to Cipher Key Lair, where they manufactured as many Shadow Pokémon as they could before the factory was shut down by Michael. However, this was where Cipher’s true leaders were revealed, as the Grandmaster Greevil (Formerly known as Mr. Verich to many) and his bodyguards, Ardos and Eldes, were the ones behind Cipher’s return. After Michael captured Shadow Lugia and defeated Greevil at Citadark Isle, Cipher’s true headquarters, Ardos wanted Greevil to blow up the entire island. However, Eldes, who revealed himself and Ardos to be Greevil’s two sons, pleaded with his father not to, as he knows that they have already lost. Greevil eventually accepted defeat, and Cipher was disbanded. With Ardos’ threat to rebuild Cipher, we are still waiting for that day to come. With Dragonite reportedly being the last Shadow Pokemon Cipher produced, the Shadow Pokémon project was put to an end (Unless you count Shadow Mewtwo). However, we did find something very disturbing… We have acquired a serum of what is known as “R”. The scientists at headquarters say that R is a purple substance that when used on Pokémon, it makes them temporarily violent. This substance is also said to be made from the cells of Mewtwo, and the reason why Pokémon become violent is because of Mewtwo’s Berserk Gene. When under the effects of R, the Pokémon's eyes will turn red, and then is unable to listen to its Trainer’s commands. After it wears off, the Pokémon affected by R is left weak and tired, unable to remember what happened while in its berserk state. Purple gas-like aura, and red eyes… We have seen this sort of thing in Shadow Pokémon, but how does it connect today? R is also an interesting name… And the fact that it stems from Mewtwo? This can only mean one thing… That’s right, Team Rocket. This year, Team Rocket was able to get their hands on the schematics of Shadow Pokémon, that which has not been seen for many years. What makes these Shadow Pokémon different than the ones Cipher produced, are the fact that their black-purple aura is visibly known to everyone, and their red eyes. In addition, instead of knowing Shadow Moves, they only know Frustration as a supercharged attack, making it seem like Team Rocket’s formula for Shadow Pokémon is much weaker than Cipher’s. The fact that their visible appearances and how they behave are strikingly like Shadow Pokémon and Pokémon that are affected by R, there are connections to be made. Mewtwo, for example, is generally a Pokémon whose creation is often associated with Team Rocket. Mewtwo even received two Mega Evolutions in the Kalos region! Since Mewtwo was also a Shadow Pokémon at one point, who is to say that Shadow Pokémon are not returning? After all, Ardos might be involved, if his threat is to be carried out. If he is, we will be ready for it. I do have another theory regarding to Team Rocket and Cipher, but that theory is for another day since this is probably dragging on for as long as it has already. Now, I know you might be wondering. “Why is an agent of the International Police telling me all of this information?” That is because “It all comes together.” If my theory is to be believed, then almost every new mechanic we have seen; post-gen 3 Cross-generational evolutions, mega evolutions, regional variants, etc. are all connected to Shadow Pokémon. How, you may ask? Well, imagine what happens after a Shadow Pokémon is purified… They receive moves that they normally do not learn. For example, when XD001 was purified and reverted to Lugia, it learned Psycho Boost, a move that was normally learned by Deoxys. However, whether Cipher obtained a Deoxys prior the Shadow Pokémon incidents remains to be seen, but who knows. What I am trying to get at is that these moves may have caused unintentional mutations in the Pokémon that were once Shadow Pokémon. By extension, this could mean that Pokémon that were once Shadow Pokémon may have received unintentional mutations as a result of being Shadow Pokémon. In addition, most of the Pokémon that received cross-generational evolutions, mega evolutions, and regional variants were once Shadow Pokémon in some way, whether it be a Pokémon from a family line, or whatever else the case may be. For example, Murkrow and Misdreavus were Shadow Pokémon, but later, it was discovered in the Sinnoh region that they could evolve into Honchkrow and Mismagius respectively. Roselia is another example, as Roselia could not only evolve into Roserade, but it was also discovered that it could breed Budew, and Roselia was once a Shadow Pokémon. Manectric is an example of a Pokémon that while it did not receive an evolution, it did receive a mega evolution in the Kalos region, while Beedrill, as another example, received a mega evolution in the Hoenn region. I am not saying that Cipher experimented on Rayquaza to achieve mega evolution, but who knows, it could be possible. In the Alola League, Pokémon such as Raticate and Exeggutor (who were once Shadow Pokémon as well), received what was recently discovered to be regional variants. Even Z-Moves could be said to connect to Shadow Pokémon, since they are both powerful moves that are used at full-strength, but again, I would consider Z-Moves to be part of a different theory in mind. We currently do not know much about Dynamaxing and Gigantimaxing, or how many different forms of Pokémon there might be. However, near Ryme City, there was a facility the contained gigantic Torterra. Despite Torterra never being a Shadow Pokémon previously, one could however say that this experimentation was the predecessor of Dynamaxing and Gigantimaxing. Even the return of Shadow Pokémon in the form of Shadow Mewtwo, the R substance made from Mewtwo, Mewtwo and Team Rocket, and the Shadow Pokémon that Team Rocket has produced also connects with Shadow Pokémon that were produced by Cipher, showing that Cipher could still be dangerously at large. Now, I know that you may think of all of this to be a bit… Farfetch’d, dare I say. Farfetch’d, who was also a Shadow Pokémon, also received a cross-generational evolution, but in the form of Galarian Evolution, much like the Galarian Zigzagoon line. However, instead of being an evolution of a Galarian Farfetch’d, it is an evolution of the original Farfetch’d. You might be asking me, “What about Pokémon that got new forms that were not Shadow Pokémon?” Again, you could say that the mutations that came from Shadow Pokémon were unintentional, as I am not even sure if Cipher was aware of what they had done when creating them in the first place. One could say that the darkness that stems from Shadow Pokémon is like a virus. Pokerus, if you will. Viruses can spread, like a disease. Even the R substance in Ryme City could spread, and how Pokémon behaved there seems very similar to how Team Rocket’s Shadow Pokémon behave. Another might say that there are Shadow Pokémon that were never shown to the public eye. Take Porygon-2 for example. In some recovered files that we found, Pokémon such as Porygon-2, Kecleon, Castform, and Minun were to be Shadow Pokémon. Who is to say that Pokémon such as Chimecho, Steelix, Raichu, or Zigzagoon might not have been a Shadow Pokémon? Again, Cipher was a huge organization, and had multiple branches. They did not just have the branch in Orre, I assure you. Who knows, maybe Cipher intends to rise once again in the future with even more Shadow Pokémon. With all the pieces coming together, I think it would be safe to say that we could see more of Shadow Pokémon in the future, and not in the real world. I must go back to headquarters and report my findings but be careful out there. You can never really tell what a Pokémon is and what is a Shadow Pokémon unless you have a Snag Machine with an Aura Reader. Currently, headquarters only allows those who are high-ranking members of the International Police to have Snag Machines since they could fall into the hands of evil. However, I just might convince the Director to be more lenient for those who have good hearts, and have Wes and Rui produce some more Snag Machines. Below will be my sources at how I came to my theory. Until next time, stay safe, Trainers! Agent Trevore, signing off. Taking a trip down memory lane can be... transformative, to say the least. Who you were back then, who you are now, as long as you stay true to yourself, then you will always remember who you are.

Hooray for early Honchkrow!

I finally got around to reading it, and must I say, it is pretty great stuff! It perfectly fits James' character, as he always did seem the least evil of the three. People always say, "give that man his own story", and I'd say you answered to their pleas, even if it is just a fangame. Honestly, I feel your pain about hiatuses and all, it's been a struggle for me to even get back to my stuff. Soon though, I might be able to get back to it. I wonder if James will ever be able to get back his old Pokemon from Giovanni once he gets stronger and bolder? If he took out Solaris' Garchomp with only one Pokemon, I'm sure he'd be able to storm back to Giovanni at some point and take back his Pokemon from the grunts. Mostly his Mime Jr. and Carnivine, because those were Pokemon from his childhood. That Chatot he found is probably a good sign that Giovanni's not too far away, but that's just a theory from me.

The Story of an Unlikely Hero: Pokemon Reborn Edition
Tringus replied to Tringus's topic in Team Showcase
Just giving a heads up, but I'm still kicking! School has been beating me up, so I haven't had much time to do anything, but now that I have a better laptop, things will run much more smoothly. Before I make a new chapter, I still have to finish the current one. I haven't been exactly making them all in one go as I used to. But I'm still alive! -
All I did for mine was ask Ame if she could reactivate it. However, this happened when everything was moved to the new site, so I'm not sure if the same still applies. However, should it end up being archived, I'm sure she would be willing to fix it for you.

Little theory(SPOILERS for V11 & WLL)
Tringus replied to Hakimblue99's topic in Official Rejuvenation Club's Discussions
I thought that was Jan! I guess that shows how much I miss even though I try and keep up. -
DON'T REMIND ME OF THAT BLASTED SHEOGORATH... "You haven't spoken to both priests!" BOI, I SPOKE TO BOTH OF THEM DOZENS OF TIMES!!! yeah. Quest breaking bugs aren't fun. My guess is that Smash Ultimate would come out first. It's really, really close anyways.

F Since we're very much likely going to see Ren, it makes me wonder if this is a Xen-based episode, rather than Bladestar. Although there might actually be both, since Cassandra is involved with Xen.

Hooowhee, if I was around more often, I would reply to each hate thread on Incineroar with my love for Incineroar instead. As I mentioned before, the Direct could have gone either way. On one hand, we could have gotten Shadow, as well as several other characters that were too good to be true. On the other, we could have gotten Tony's brother, Antonio El No Bueno Tigre (Or Tony the No Good Tiger). Incineroar got in, Shadow did not. However, at the end of the day, we still get a black and red edgy furry, don't we? When I first saw Incineroar in the concept art leak, I was amazed. I actually thought it was too good to be true. Yes, I still wish it was on all fours, but don't we all want a Pokemon on all fours? It's typing makes sense, too. Fire/Dark is just as much of a fitting type for Smash as Fire/Fighting. Incineroar just screams Smash more than it did for Pokken, and either way, we still have Decidueye in Pokken, don't we? Give Incineroar a chance before you knock it. With the recurring trend of how Sakurai picks a new Pokemon for Smash, we now have Greninja, who is Water/Dark, as well as Incineroar, who is Fire/Dark. If there is any pattern to go by for both Pokemon and Smash, I wager that Gen 8's Grass starter will be Grass/Dark, which will also be included in the next Smash. Not only will it complete the triangle of Grass-Fire-Water, but they will all be Dark type as well, which would make a Dark user like me very, very happy (We are also long overdue for a new Grass/Dark Pokemon anyways). Also, I love that Incineroar is in Smash because we can now enjoy some JOHN CENAROAR and Tony the Tiger. Also... BIG THE CAT CONFIRMED. BIG THE CAT... IN SMASH... LET THAT SINK IN, FOLKS. My DLC Picks: 1. Slime. I WOULD say Geno, but it's increasingly more and more unlikely. Plus, if we have PIRANHA PLANT of all things (Where's my fellow PP mains out there? G E T P I P E D), it really wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo pulled another WTF character and put in Slime. 2. Banjo and Kazooie. Okay, now this might be wishful thinking, but I truly believe that our beloved bear and bird can rise through the depths of hell and grace us with their presence again. With the rumored N64 Classic going around, Nintendo could very well be going to Rare for the rights of Banjo and Kazooie, and put their games in the N64 Classic. However, as they are focused on marketing, they COULD actually add Banjo and Kazooie into Smash as a way to market the upcoming N64 Classic, as well as the series. If we end up NOT getting them, we'll most likely get Steve from Minecraft (He better be as good as Villager...). 3.Bandana Waddle Dee. So far, we have not seen him in ANYTHING Smash related whatsoever. No assist, no spirit, no costume, nothing. I know Sakurai probably doesn't like BWD as much as he likes Kirby, but again, Nintendo is the one calling the shots now, and I think they could give Kirby a fourth rep. 4. Rayman. Yes, I know Rayman is in Brawlhalla. No, this doesn't stop him from being DLC. Come on, Rabbids in the game as spirits, but no Rayman to be seen? Seems a little shady if you ask me, especially since we had Rayman as a trophy in Smash 4. He's got a lot going for him in terms of potential movesets, and I think that this would give him a chance to shine and stand out from the sea of Rabbids. 5. Shantae or Dixie Kong, maybe both if we're lucky. Yes, I know they're spirits. But come on, Dixie has been planned and scrapped multiple times in past games. If they put Chrom in, and if they put King K Rool in (Which I'm hyped for), then what's stopping Dixie from her chance to shine? They introduced Daisy, Ridley, Dark Samus, and Piranha Plant all in the same game. I'm sure they have room for one more DK rep at least. As for Shantae, she has quite a bit of history with Nintendo. Her latest game has been teasing the hell out of Smash, and maybe Nintendo might listen and cut a deal? I don't know. I just think it would be pretty cool to have either Dixie or Shantae get in as DLC.

I don't know about any of you, but I actually didn't mind the direct. I'll be honest, I was kinda banking on the Grinch leak being real, but I wasn't toxic about it when it was fake, I just wanted Banjo and Shadow for the most part. To be fair, it felt like either way, the roster was going to be leaked. It seems to be a recurring theme when it comes to newer Smash games. Whether the Grinch Leak was real or fake, or the Kencineroar leak was real or fake, it was bound to happen either way. I'll be honest, either way I still got what I wanted. On the hand of the Grinch Leak being real, I would have gotten Shadow, Isaac, Geno, and Banjo. This would have been the best case scenario, but even now, that really did seem too good to be true. On the hand of the Grinch Leak being fake, I would get Incineroar, who is one of my favorite starters. Some of the characters from the Grinch Leak would have been great for DLC... Except Sakurai pulled a Thanos and made a good portion of them either Spirits or Assist Trophies (Even Skull Kid was silently put on the Assist List.). However, this does not deconfirm Spirits as playable DLC fighters. Personally, I think we still have a great roster because... P I R A N H A. P L A N T. Yes, you heard me right. Piranha Plant. Both loved and hated, THIS by far was probably the best surprise Sakurai has ever given us. It shook up the Smash fandom, and piped all of our hopes and dreams for sure. Our dreams either came true, or turned into nightmares, depending on if you like him or not. I am really, really glad this character wasn't leaked, because it was the best surprise. After the reveal, too? WORLD OF LIGHT?! I was in awe at the whole thing. I can only hope that the story doesn't get leaked out there, because that would truly be a shame after all of the development team's hard work. Now as for my opinion if leaks ruined the direct? I say no, because we still got surprises. Normally I don't mind leaks, but I strongly wish that the DLC and story of World Of Light was NOT leaked. Sakurai has put his heart and soul into this game, and I feel like the hype has been tempered because of leaks from people like Vergeben. Not to throw stones or anything, but I do hope something is done for after what's happened so far.

I could sort of see that happening in the Carnelia region, perhaps somewhere hidden near Victory Road, if something like that were to happen. Instead of a lab, I always kind of pictured it would be like a PULSE Museum, one that is designed by secret members of Team Meteor (Or perhaps remnants of Team Meteor). It would have the same kind of puzzles as each of the PULSE did when we were trying to reach them, except they would all be in one, massive hideout. For example, there could be a barrier outside surrounding the place, as well as blasts from Clawitzer when trying to get close. I could see surfing to reach the place difficult, as poison would pollute the waters. And through the forests? Don't even try, the PULSE-Tangrowth of that place would be much stronger, I could imagine seeing a puzzle like Lost Woods! All of the PULSE, of course, would still be level 100, plus I imagined even more PULSE that would perhaps be similar to Arc-PULSE. I know it's all imagination, but could you imagine a Omega-PULSE Groudon, or Alpha-PULSE Kyogre? Maybe even a Delta-PULSE Rayquaza, or DNA-PULSE Deoxys, or Mewtwo, even? Maybe Lugia, or Ho-Oh? The possibilities are, as Taka said, endless, and that goes for ALL Pokemon. I don't remember there being mentions of a PULSE-Budew, but that would have been interesting. If I'm fooled, well I'd still be amazed to see a PULSE-Budew, real or not. *Note, this is all imagination and idea speculation coming from a madman.

Rant about Shofu's playthrough (WARNING Long text and Salt incoming)
Tringus replied to GGLL's topic in Reborn City
I'll be honest, I haven't exactly watched all of Shofu's Reborn playthrough. I watched up until about when Corey died, and just stopped for some reason. However, I actually decided to watch this one just to hear him read the dialogue and react, annnnnd... He didn't even do that. All he did was rage at how much dialogue there was. Even when he got out of the void, he was STILL skipping the dialogue, which was what I wanted to hear. Now I haven't actively played the game as much as I would like to, but I still have a damn good memory of all the characters and their background. I do understand the point in Shofu's case where the game would just get seem too confusing if you haven't played in a long time (I struggle with that with Metroid, Kingdom Hearts, etc.), but it really wouldn't hurt to backtrack just a little bit to get the general idea of what's going on. "WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!" while constantly skipping the dialogue certainly does not help in learning what's going on with the story. What really, really threw me off is that he said "I'm doing it for the fans!". I've seen a lot of YouTubers cry out that they're doing certain things just for their fans, and a lot of them aren't entirely honest with that. Most of the time, it is about the money. Money is how YouTubers make a living, after all. I don't even play the game for money, I just write my playthrough on my own time because I WANT to. Yes, I've been taking long breaks here and there, but even I'm still invested in the game, even when I'm not writing and playing through the game. If he's doing it for the fans, he really should listen, and maybe not skip all of the good stuff. Now I'm not trying to be disrespectful in anyway. I like Shofu, I think he's a cool dude, and I like his content. If I didn't like him, I would have unsubscribed. Honestly, the I don't watch Shofu that much anymore is because I'm just too busy with life. However, I also really care about Reborn, and yes, I know Shofu rages from time to time, but nobody has to go biting each other's heads off over it (Sorry, not sorry), it's just a game at the end of the day. -
What was the episode which introduced Charlotte's gym fight?
Tringus replied to a topic in Reborn City
The battle was in Episode 13, and the sprite held until Episode 14. This is the sprite with the cigarette. Basically the same thing as the current, but just holding the cigarette. (Spoilers just in case) -
3. Altmer Rich lore, beautiful cities, and are skilled in magic. Even though I mostly play Imperials, I do admit the Thalmor even have taste in design. 2. Khajiit CATS. They are adorable, sneaky, and have fine taste in design. They even have skooma. I honestly don't understand why they have such a bad rep everywhere, these cool cats are hip. 1. Imperials. They are fun, easy to play, and almost every game I play, I start with them. Besides, they're called Imperials for a reason. I often consider my character to be the Emperor and rule over everyone in Tamriel. It's always fun playing with mods...

The Story of an Unlikely Hero: Pokemon Reborn Edition
Tringus replied to Tringus's topic in Team Showcase
Chapter LXI: Cleaning Up The Rest Of Reborn City (MRGA), Lore Abound, And The Grand Reopening Of Grandview Station! Taking up Adrienn's word, I fly over to Peridot and find that Grandview Station has officially be reopened. I talk to the trainer outside, and he wonders what the champion is like. Too soon, my friend... Too soon... I head inside, and find a construction worker from the Reborn Construction Company, who says that after completing their last task, revitalizing the Railnet, they're raring up to hire up and take on even grander designs. He says if me or anyone I know is looking for a hands-on career to shape this city, they should apply. He hands me a few applications, and I head to 7th Street. I find Mannie first, and give him the construction application. He is happy to see a paying job, and goes to fill it out right away. I find DeFacto, and procure for him an application to Beryl Library. He is intrigued, and acquiesces to the idea of having a job there. He leaves, and I go find Pierce. I give him an application to Apophyll Academy, and he silently takes it and leaves for Apophyll. I find Razzy, and show him an application to Sweet Co. At first, he is bored at the idea, but then realizes it is connected to the Sweet Kiss Candy Shop, and remembers the Red-Hots his grandma used to make applesauce with. He readily accepts and leaves for Sweet Co., leaving all but Archer. I find Archer, and tell him everyone all has jobs now. He says it is just him left, and supposes he can find a marketable job. His strengths lie in team coordination, research and analysis. I show him the Silph Co. application, and he sees that it requires two years of management experience. He says that the Aqua Gang has been a profitable business, but re-brands the now-empty group to Aqua Incorporated. It will do, as he can is more than capable of brushing aside the details. He says the job will suit him perfectly, and he thanks me. He says I have been a true friend to them all, and gives me a final parting gift. He says it was a Pokemon they liberated from the Magma Gang, with the item its holding as a personal selection from him. He gives me a Litten, which I name Maxwell. He bids me farewell, and tells me not to mind if he uses me as a personal reference. I'm pretty sure he knows I'm the one saving Reborn... After he leaves, I breed Maxwell, and get myself a SHINY Litten after two eggs. I name the newborn Litten Aslan, and train him up to speed. I evolve Aslan into Torracat first, then Incineroar. After I train it, I decide to participate in the funding of making Reborn great again. I start by donating $60,000 for redevelopment in South Obsidia. This covers the project, and he'll let everyone know that it's been fully funded so they can work on it right away. However, since I am the sole proprietary founder for at least one project, they would like to extend to me their warmest thanks. Per policy, they would like to invite me to meet the employees who work so hard with my money to keep Reborn City thriving. Their employee area is in the basement below here, and as a premier modern founder, I will now be permitted access at will to it. All they ask is that I be courteous to the employees working there. They thank me again for always looking out for Reborn City, and they open their doors to me. What is this business, a Patreon business? Oh wait, it would be per month that I would have to pay $60,000 if it WAS a Patreon. I can't afford that, and I certainly could NEVER afford that in real life! However, I talk to one of the employees, who sees who I am, and reveals that Adrienn has given me access to the employee section ANYWAYS, so I didn't even have to pay for it! FUN! Oh well, I would have done so anyways from the bottom of my heart. Make Reborn Great Again! He apologizes for the miscommunication, and I head downstairs. I find Victoria, who is sitting at one of the desks down in the office. She's surprised that they let me in, not that that's a problem, as she could use the company. She finds herself completely exhausted from doing mind-numbing desk work, as she's used to being out there and moving her body. Giiiiiiirl, the way you say that suggests you've been working at the club... But I digress. All of this computer stuff is a drag for her, and she wonders how anyone can just sit here all day. Not only that, but the paperwork never ceases. She wonders if she should just call Julia and have her bring some of her strongest coffee. Even one of the employees also seems to try and get her out for coffee, but drinks can't solve the fact that she just misses her school. I learn that six more people are coming from the Kanto-Johto area, and wonder who they could be. The inspector has also been away again, vanishing every three months for the two he's there. I head to the inspection room, and find the Ampharosite sitting on a desk! I leave the room and talk to another employee, who discusses that the proposed Railnet would feature eight stations, one for each ward, but questions that placing one in Opal Ward is inefficient considering the water's placement and underground structure of the Grand Hall. He wonders if there is really a need for an Opal Station when Grandview is so close by. I go to Ame's old office and click a button at her computer. Next thing I know, the whole Grand Hall is filled with Alolan Vulpix! Not only that, but there is a whole room filled with them! Be free, my little snow fox friends!!! I also pick up the Lopunnite before leaving the Grand Hall. However, when I come back, I find the Alolan Vulpix have already flooded the halls. Even Victoria is counting Vulpix in her sleep! I head down to 7th Street again and enter the Subseven Sanctum again. When I use the key that Boo Boo Keys had, I enter a room that has a book, a few items, and six Arceus statues in no particular order: Green, Ruby, Amethyst, Gold, Sapphire, and Silver. Just what the hell is this room? I pick up the items, which are a Dark Material piece and Field Effect Readout 29, which is Holy Field. I then read the notebook that is on the table... "Place faith in the Lord, and so shall he in you." This must be Elias's journal... Very well, I will read on. "Place animosity upon the Lord, and so shall he upon you. This lesson is not an easy one to learn. Some will never fully grasp it. Many will only pretend to. Today, I would like to share with you the story of how I came to learn this." Yup, this is definitely his journal. "I was born to the purpose of Arceus, but I was born blind. Growing up as a boy with no sight in a world like this is no easy task, but of course, I learned to take care of myself. For some time, that was the only thing I could be proud of. My family was an old one, back from the days when Reborn City was no more than a village around a crater, both of which are since lost underground." Is he from the same group as Solaris...? "When first Arceus' birthplace crashed upon our world, one family set about enshrining it. They would protect it from the world so that its purity might remain ever intact. This was their life's calling. And this was not my family. Mine came years later, and, finding light in their purpose, swore to serve that family. So it came to be that each generation of my house served theirs. Until it came to me, a defective blind child, who would do more harm than good as a servant. The man to whom I should have been sworn was born some ten years after me. His name was Solaris." YUP, THIS MAKES A LOT OF SENSE NOW. "He was a raucous youth, never quite satisfied with his life's charge of protecting an old monument. As I understand, for most of his life he resented this purpose, lashing out, as many of the young do, against Arceus." If Solaris hated Arceus so much back then, then why does he have such religious goals? "I could understand his feelings. Why, I asked myself, if Arceus is so great, should he have made me this way? Why did I have to suffer? Why did I have to serve? As it turned out, Solaris would be the one to show me the answer. A failed vassal, I dared not approach him, and though our fathers were close, mine never allowed me to see the young master as I was growing up. It was not until I was well into a miserable adulthood that we first met. Solaris knew of me, of course. He knew my family was due by lineage to serve his, and he had heard of the blind man, whom others had deemed unfit for his presence. And, as he did with all things, he rebelled. He offered his hand to me. I took it with an oath of servitude." So THIS is how he joined Solaris... "This was not a chance I should have been given. So, I pushed myself as hard as I could to try and have value to my master. But both of us were lordless, lawless men. He had no purpose to serve but fighting his own, and we found common ground therein. Nevertheless, Arceus would reach us eventually. For many years, Solaris questioned, 'Just what does the meteor need to be protected from?' It was already locked up with the four crystal keys. And who would want to defile some old rock anyway? This was a lesson he learned the hard way, when his parents were both killed by an assailant seeking those very keys. The young master was too late to save them, but just in time to avenge them. So he bludgeoned the man who had claimed the keys until his arms were too battered to hold on to them anymore, And until his lips were too loose to keep secrets. 'Why?!', Solaris cried, over and over. The assailant would tell him rumours he had never believed, of a great power locked within the meteor, lying dormant for years. Whether it was true or not, the thief believed it, and so he grasped at it. 'Why?!', Solaris continued to cry. And so he said, on and on until daybreak, thrashing against the culprit's body for long after there was any soul still there to know it. He was no longer asking anyone other than himself. Why had he refused to listen to his parents? Why had he not seen the danger they were in? Why could he not save them? And believing that he had led to the death of his own parents, For the first time, he strode forward to meet his life's purpose. The Lord will punish those who lack faith. This is what is to be learned from Solaris' tale." Holy shit... Solaris is Holy Batman, and Elias is Alfred. That's at least what the story feels like to me. It does explain why Solaris became extremely religious. "My own awakening came a number of years later. When my master walked the path of the Lord, so naturally did I have to as well. I would follow my friend, but in regards to faith, my service was half-hearted. Solaris recognized this, and one day confronted me about it. After some discussion, he offered the Emerald Key he should have himself vanguarded with his life, in return for my faith. He wished for me not just to serve him, but to personally share his burden. I accepted this, and resolved to place every ounce of my trust in the Lord, and my friend. When I awoke the next morning, the key still clutched tightly against my chest, I was assaulted by a phenomenon I had never experienced before. Lights, dazzling colors, shapes so blurred I could scarcely recognize the forms I was so used to navigating around otherwise. Sight. There are no words to describe the feeling of seeing my master's face for the first time. Or that of seeing my own face. That of finally being able to really understand what words like 'golden' and 'light' meant. Before, they were just dreams, but I knew that the Lord-- and my trust in him-- had made it real. The Lord will reward those with true faith." This is what is to be learned from Elias' tale. This is how he gained sight, and how he serves not only his master and friend Solaris but Arceus as well. "It has been many years since then. I am constantly assaulted with sorrow and worry for the sake of my daughter, and for his son both. I do not wish them to receive any such punishment as my friend did. I wish them both all the blessings of the Lord they have turned from. I fear, too, for each of you. Though less so, than for each of the heretics above. The city's miserable state is no doubt a result of its divergence from the Lord. Therefore, I implore you, Please, trust in Arceus. Please, guide others to trust in Arceus. Under the Lord's light, may we all see bright futures. Thank you." Holy shit... I'm gonna place my thoughts at the end of the chapter, but damn, that was a lot to take in. As I leave the sanctum, I hear that it is time for worship, even though nobody is here. I leave, and decide to look for Corey's Pokemon. I fly to Beryl Ward, and go to Citrine Mountain, where I find... another Croagunk. Unlike the other, this is actually his Croagunk this time. It sees the silver ring and joins me in obedience. I find a Smoochum in the mountain as well, under attack by an angry Beartic. I beat it with my team, and Smoochum clings to me, joining my team. I head to Beryl Cave, where I find Corey's Nidorina beating its head furiously at a wall in a cage. It sees the silver ring, and joins my team in obedience as well. I then fly to Agate Circus, go all the way down to Celestinine Mountain, and enter Citrine Mountain from that side. I move a boulder with Charles' Strength and find Corey's Skuntank guarding something. Although it is bored, it sees the silver ring and challenges me to fight. I catch it and grab the silver card it was guarding. With that all said and done, I fly to Beryl Ward. I enter Corey's gym and then go in his room. I see a card slot, and scan the silver card, opening a secret door. I go into the secret room where I find his study, which has a purple machine and a blue machine. I find a Toxic Orb on the desk, but I also find his journal on the desk... "For Heather, By the time you read this, you will be strong. I was not raised to be strong. I was raised to be naive, and I suffered for it. I shall not make this same mistake with you. Reality is cruel. This, I learned the hard way. This, you have grown to learn from the second you were born. I told you long ago how she passed. I did not mention who was responsible for it. Team Meteor sought to cleanse the city and restore it to its former heritage-- a holy site. To this end, they take no prisoners. I joined their ranks to sabotage them. Specifically, I sought the head of the man who killed your mother. He was after an artifact I foolishly bestowed upon her. He saw her life as a small price to pay for it. I will see to it that he pays what's due in his own blood. If you will join me, I will have you. It is your right as her daughter. The man ended her life in poison. When I discovered her IV was laced, I struck out. One of the few things I can still take pride in is that man's scream as he pulled the syringe from his bleeding eye. He lived, but his wound is a mark on his life. Since then, I coveted the venom that ended your mother Elena's dear life. From it, I have made poisons to corrupt. Poisons to control. And poisons to deliver retribution upon the guilty. My beautiful daughter, we will settle this together." So the one who killed Elena is... Sirius. Not only was he the one who burned down Belrose Manor, but... he also killed Corey's wife and Helen's mother... He is the reason Corey committed suicide. I'll go into more detail at the end as usual, but when I find Sirius again, he'll get what he deserves. I leave Corey's gym and fly down to Peridot Ward. After all the lore bombs that were dropped, I think I'm ready to head to the newly rebuilt Grandview Station. Time to go to Tourmaline Desert! With that said, I hop on the train and reflect in my thoughts over everything I just learned today... Trevore's End Chapter Thoughts HOLY SHIT, a lot went down. I just thought that Solaris and Elias were nut cases, but they actually do care about their world, and I kinda do feel bad that Lin took over Team Meteor. Do I think their actions are morally good? Probably not, but I know that they do have hearts somewhere. I respect their goals, however, as I think that their goal for restoring the old world is noble in its own right. I mean, Lin just wants to use Arceus for her own purpose, you just want to worship Him again. Same with Elias. He GAINED SIGHT just by believing in Arceus and Solaris, who WILLINGLY GAVE HIM THE EMERALD KEY. If this isn't a beautiful Batman-Alfred relationship, then I don't know what it is. Not only is Solaris kind to Elias, but he BECAME HIS FRIEND. Nobody wanted anything to do with Elias, except for him. I applaud that Elias is not only loyal to Solaris to the end, but Solaris is also loyal to Elias, and they BELIEVE in each other. What were once two lordless, lawless men were now both servants of Arceus. Corey also went through a lot too... When Elena died, he joined Team Meteor to PROTECT her and the Ruby Ring, not to help them. He joined to sabotage their schemes, and who knows, maybe he had a plan to sabotage the PULSE-Tangrowths? I think he is not a villain at all, but rather, a hero to some degree. As for Sirius... may he burn in hell once I get my hands on him. He killed for the Ruby Ring, the Sapphire Bracelets, and he somehow knows Anna and Noel's father? Why are you after these keys? Why are you always the one who ends up killing for them? Why are you loyal to Lin, and not Solaris? Taka and Luna... I worry for you both too... Luna, not so much because I think you're doing fine, but Taka... He gave the Sapphire Bracelets without a second thought and has been kind to me throughout the entire game. I wanted to help him back at the Water Treatment Center, but I cannot just let him continue to go down this path if he does not want to. I do not know how Solaris is feeling, but I hope both you and Luna are safe. With that said, onward to Tourmaline Desert! Team Updates I am putting Corey in Team Reborn, mostly because he only joined Team Meteor to sabotage them in the end. He was just as much of a victim to their schemes as the rest of Team Reborn. He tried to protect Heather, and in the end, died because he could not take it anymore.
