Chapter LX: A City Reborn, And The Dazzling, Gleaming Adrienn! I head my way to the Coral Gym, and the machine is working. Instead of Ame, I hear Victoria, who has appeared to have taken on Ame's duties, since she's dead. She doesn't know too much about Adrienn's team or fighting style, but she's heard xe fights in doubles, so I should be ready for it. She also heard a little bit about xyr gym when some of the students from Apophyll were helping rebuild it. Adrienn designed it to switch tactics in the middle of a fight. I can already see the mist in the gym, but the atmosphere xe constructed aside from that is enough to power xyr Pokemon regardless. She says I might not want to count on just blowing it away, but then I might have to be ready for that anyways. Timing and adaptability should be key, so I'll really think about when using my strongest Pokemon. That's all she has for me, and she leaves. I talk to Adrienn, who sees that I'm here already. Xe says it's okay, xe just wasn't prepared. Xe reveals what xyr request is, and... xe wants to battle me. It would be an official gym match, and given recent circumstances, the actual status of the Reborn League might be unclear. However, Victoria and xe will handle the administration. As for the champion... That's xyr second request. Xe wants me to become the new champion. That might have been my goal in the first place, but now xe thinks it's especially important. Xe would like it if it was me in particular because from what xe heard, I've been the one who's done so much for Reborn's sake. Of course, it still entails collecting all the badges and defeating the Elite Four. Probably no one would accept my new role otherwise. And Lin... Xe doesn't go there, and even if she defeated Ame, xe personally will refuse to acknowledge her as champion. But we need someone to stand up to her, and I'm our best hope for that. After everything Team Meteor has done... After everything Lin has done... I will take up that mantle. I will defeat Lin, and I WILL be champion. Amethyst would have wanted it, right? Xe thanks me, and to start, xe would like to have our battle now. However, xe's a bit swamped. Xe's got a handful of workstations that are shorthanded, and not to mention planning the recovery party for Devon Corp and what xe's begun begun referring to as the Devonyx building. It's going to take xyr a small bit to get these sorted, but xe could use my help too. Xe wants me to go explore the city and look for anybody who might be willing to lend a hand, xe would really appreciate it. If we can at least get five people, that should be enough to work with. But closer to ten would be ideal, and the difference would be worth my time. If they wish to volunteer, they should come here to the gym, and xe will handle the rest. After that's settled, I can battle Adrienn. I bet I can find FIFTEEN people. I make my way all over the city finding people. First, I find a woman in the stairway between Obsidia and Coral who's run away from somebody. I give her something to do. I then see somebody looking out toward the sea in South Obsidia. I find a girl in Obsidia Park looking for work too. I also find a little boy in the library reading books, he gets a job. I find a socially awkward girl in Jasper, and give her a job. That's five so far... Ten more to go! I then head to Blacksteam Shelter and find someone sitting on a bench over by the room the PULSE-Muk once was, and give him some work. I head to the Grand Stairway, and in front of it, I see this smartass asshole who doesn't stop bragging about his genius. He's seriously overcompensating for something. I force labor upon him, and head to Lapis where I find an old lady by the little park. I give her something to do with her life, and fly to Beryl. I find a people-watching person on Beryl Bridge, and give her some work to do. I find a shop-owner who's looking to repay the favor, so I give him a job. That's ten... Five more to go! I decide to take a break and fly to Spinel Town, just to see if it's still suffering the effects of PULSE-Abra. It turns out that they're adapting quite well, despite a few things still disappearing such as the town's sign. What a peaceful, mysterious town. I fly back to Reborn City and head to the Onyx Arcade, where I find a guy who's bored with nothing to do. I give him a job, and also find that the Onyx Ward is a lot more lively than it was. I go to see what's up, and it appears that the arcades are fully functional again. Wait a minute! When I fought those glitches in the computers in Ametrine City, did that fix whatever problems they were having down here? Heh, I guess I AM the Savior of Reborn. The Savior of Nerds everywhere. Since I am at Onyx, I head to the Trainer's School, and see that the entrance to Florinia's gym is blocked while she is away. The girl guarding it asks me for a favor to ask the girl she likes her feelings. Her crush usually hangs out on the third floor, so I head there. I guess everyone has been obsessed with me too, because I'm all the gossip at the school. One even asks for my autograph, which I give, and another even flirts with me. I learn about terrains, and a girl gives me the Telluric Seed. Everyone is also happy I beat the shit out of Fern, too. Yeah, well now he's an even bigger problem since he's with Team Meteor. If anyone wants to see an encore, I'll happily give you one when I take the barrier down in Calcenon City and beat the shit out of him even more, especially since Florinia's pissed at him. Speaking of Florinia, it seems like she's behind on some administrative things because she is away. And to some, I am handsome like a prince, elegant like a queen, five-hundred Pokemon at max level (I only have one, and that is Pyukumuk!) and even telekinetic powers. Bitch please, if I had telekinetic powers, Team Meteor would have no chance. And I'm standing right in front of you! I head upstairs to find Protective Pads, and can somehow catch another shiny Porygon, so I try to do so, but accidentally kill it. I already have one, so I don't really need another anyways. What's strange is that in the Glitch World, Goddard is the steel type, and looks like it's from the Glitch World. I talk to a guy who awkwardly asks me something, but realizes I'm there. Scared, he backs up, and breaks a plant. The student yells at me, and tells me not to sneak up on him like that. He runs away, and the teacher walks up and apologizes. He says he'll go get a janitor, so he proceeds to do so, opening the doors. I head back into the sorority dorm of the four gym leaders, and find an interesting piece of literature there. On Fairy Tales: "History has a habit of letting little girls wander past the forest's edge, only to be swallowed up by any number of enchantments beyond. She awakens in a tower, Stone, Cold, Alone. A dragon guards her, its fangs bared to the world, Brimstone breath faithfully reserved for whatever metal-clad ignoramus thinks himself so mighty that even fire may not char his miserable flesh. But there is only one who can slay the beast: The one to whom its back is turned." What an interesting story... I wonder if I'll ever experience such a story myself. I probably might, knowing Titania is a fan of literature. And she's out in Tourmaline Desert... Deserts have mirages... Who knows. I head to the newly opened room, head upstairs, and find a girl sitting on the couch while another one is studying. I talk to the girl on the couch, and try giving her the sweet heart. She's flattered, but isn't interested in her, going to go talk to her straight. She says I should hang on to the chocolate, as it would be a dumb move to eat the chocolate and then letting her down. I head back to the girl, who freaks out, asking if I talked to her yet. I did, and told her the message. She gets depressed, and sees that night they spent together on Beryl Bridge meant nothing to her crush, and she thought the girl liked her, but realizes she overthinks things,and wonders why she always falls in love with her friends just over a few precious moments. She says it's over now, and apologizes I had to hear her whining and poor expectations. She wants to let it go, and was going to give the girl a present. She went through a lot of trouble getting it, but she can't do that now. She gives me something that was for her crush's favorite Pokemon, and says it's an apology. She says that she has a gym to guard, and that's probably all she'll ever get. She gives me the INCINIUM-Z, and says she's fine. Now I want an Incineroar. I head outside, and see a group who obsesses over me. One girl even asks how Amaria is doing. She's doing great... If you consider losing her memory after jumping off a fucking waterfall into a Water Treatment Center being great, that is. I head to Peridot, and find a girl hiding in an alley. I give her a job, and I also give a guy in one of the buildings nearby a job too. I fly to Beryl and head just north of it. I find a bug catcher watching over the city, and give him a job. I also find a girl who's lost in the alley in Obsidia, and show her da wae to a job. I fly back to the Coral Ward and talk to Adrienn. Xe says that xe just finished assigning the last of our volunteers, and that they've gotten so many thanks to me. Xe's astounded, but even then, exceeding expectations does seem to be my strong point. Let's see... I've found the Reborn City Police force, beaten Solaris, had no children abducted, fought a Ditto Arceus and sided with Radomus, didn't give the Ruby Ring to Blake (Except he stole it anyway, which we got back), and decided not to fight Taka out of mercy. I think I've exceeded every expectation so far. Xe thanks me for all my help, and says it must have been really challenging to go out and look for all those people. It really wasn't that hard. Ever heard of guides? Xe gives me the Wise Glasses, an Ability Capsule, and a Star Piece as thanks. Xe then says it's time for our battle, so xe'll take xyr place in the arena, saying I should take my place when I'm ready to battle. Adrienn says xe'll be waiting, and takes xyr place, and when I talk to xyr at xyr spot, xe tells me that even though I'm champion-to-be, xe won't hold back, and really wants to enjoy this. After training my Pokemon, I head back to the Coral Gym and get into position. Adrienn asks me if I am ready for our long-awaited match, and I am. Adrienn is pumped, and says xe's been looking forward to this since the day we met. Xe calls me "Champion", and has me picturing a scenario. "You're in your palace at the Hall of Champions! A new trainer, Adrienn, has just blown through all of the Elite Four. Xe intends to challenge and claim your title! Now you have to fight to defend your honor! Although the roles are reversed right now, this is still a defining step on that adventure, so come at me with all of that same spirit! Show me what Reborn's future champion looks like!" You know what? I will. After I win and beat you, I'm going to give it everything I've got for the rest of the leaders! Then the Elite Four, and then? Lin herself. I've come this far, I'm not backing down now! Come at me, Adrienn! Visionary Adrienn sends out Eolande the Granbull and Kailen the Gardevoir, while I send out Amelia and Charles. Charles tries using Heat Wave, but gets knocked out by Eolande and Kailen afterwards. I send out Megaman X, and take Eolande down with Meteor Mash. Adrienn sends out Orphne the Mawile. Unfortunately for me, Xe Mega Evolves Orphne into... Mega Mawile, which might be a threat. Amelia goes down from Orphne's Iron Head after I heal both her and Megaman X. I send out Corey, and Megaman X misses Orphne's Sucker Punch because I heal it. Kailen goes down from Corey's critical hit Poison Jab. Adrienn sends out Pryderi the Whimsicott, and it attacks Corey with Mist Ball, knocking him down. However, send out Charles after reviving him, and while Pryderi uses Tailwind, creating the Fairy Tale Field, making Charles' Heat Wave useless. I switch out Charles for Pierce, while after taking an X-Defend, Megaman X knocks out Pryderi with Meteor Mash. Adrienn sends out Orin the Togekiss, and it becomes a long battle of trying to stall Tailwind out. I keep healing both Pierce and Megaman X, while Megaman X has a X-Special Defend as well, eventually, Pierce goes down, which is fine, as they are slowed down from his Icy Wind, and the Tailwind goes away. I send out Auriol, who knocks Orin down in two Ice Punches, while Megaman X keeps beating down Orphne, who gets healed by Adrienn's Ultra Potions. Adrienn sends out Ryannon the shiny Reborn-themed Florges after Orphne knocks out Auriol with Iron Head. I send out Charles, and revive Corey while Orphne is finished off by Megaman X's Meteor Mash. Adrienn says that xe hasn't had a battle this exhilarating in years- even by xyr twisted timeline! Charles and Megaman both finish off Ryannon together with Strength and Meteor Mash, and with Adrienn's Fairy Tale Pokemon defeated, I win the battle! Adrienn knew xe was right about me, and walks over to me, saying that the champion keeps their throne for another day. Just then, a box appears, and xe tells me that inside contains two presents: the first being the Amaranth Badge, which Adrienn promises that all Pokemon up to Level 85 will listen to me faithfully. Furthermore, this badge slightly increases the Special Defense of all of my Pokemon, which isn't bad for a Champion to have. The second present is TM 99 Dazzling Gleam. After all, I've got the whole world to flash to, any why not be a bit flashy? Xe says that it's time to come back to reality, as there's still a lot of things to do for all of us. Victoria and xyr will take care of everything here in the city, but they're counting on me to take care of Team Meteor. Adrienn also reveals that just a little bit ago, xe was notified that Grandview Station has reopened. Although the tickets out of the region will probably sell out quickly, Adrienn has actually put in a special order with them for me. If I go there, I can go to Tourmaline Desert, no charge to me. If what xe heard is right, then not only is my next badge there, but also one of the crystal keys as well. It's best that I can get to all of those before Team Meteor does. Adrienn still has a lot of work to do, so xe takes her leave, but not before wanting me to know that this challenge has been a pleasure, and xe will always be cheering for me. Xe then takes xyr leave. Now if this was Episode 16 I was playing, I would be seeing the conclusion of Episode 16, with the teaser for the next one. I had a dream where everyone was captured by Team Meteor. Men, women, even young children, forced into service. I had seen young children even wearing shock collars to keep them in line. When I grew suspicious, I did some digging and found the schematics for the device, AND how to shut down the PULSE-Mr. Mime. Before I could learn more and share the newfound information with my brother, I was met with a gun pointed to the back of my head. The gun was held by one Orderly John. Dr. Sigmund was no where to be seen most likely producing more shock collars and performing shock therapy on unruly servants. Just when I was about to be shot, my brother saved me by having his Mismagius use Ominous Wind, then directly Shadow Ball the gun away, giving me time to escape. My Pokemon and I went deeper, until I met face to face with Sigmund and Sirius themselves. Having Aya in their clutches, I sent out my Honchkrow Falcone to fight. But then my brother showed up, calling forth Mismagius to fight them as well. Just when we were about to fight, I suddenly slip into unconsciousness, and am taken prisoner myself. Waking up, I find myself in a darker room, with no one else to be seen, not even my twin. I have a shock collar on, and am strapped to a chair. I then actually wake up after that.

Chapter LIX: Further Down The Rabbit Hole, The Devon Corp. Conspiracy Thickens! After I'm zapped unconscious, I eventually wake up to find myself in a prison cell. However, Team Meteor was kind enough to give me my own PC and healing machine. Is there a Nurse Joy in Team Meteor? Because I'm really thankful for that. I heal my Pokemon, and give Goddard the Fairy Memory. I enter the other room, which is large, and has a big Meteor M on the floor. Yup... We're captured by Team Meteor. I head to the bars on the cage, but the door is locked behind me. Victoria comes in the room from the other cell, and she is surprised to see me. She walks up to the bars, and the door locks behind her too, as she can't get out. She asks me what's going on, and just then, the screen turns on, revealing Lin. She welcomes us, and Victoria asks if that is Lin. Lin understands that me and my petty shambles of acquaintances have come here to stop her. She laughs, and says that we thought we were strong together, and here we are now. "Let this be a lesson. Numbers do not help. Friends do not help. Spirit does not help. In the end, you are still powerless. You are still a victim. You always will be, won't you?" Victoria asks her what she knows about spirit during this speech, and Lin just ignores her. She then says that we will now play a game. She directly tells me personally that in order to reunite with my so-called friends, I must fight them. The winner may proceed, the loser will suffer a penalty. There are no rules, and she tells us to begin. The screen turns off, and Victoria is surprised we have to fight each other to get out of here. She silently thinks it over, then agrees to the terms. She promises she's not backing down, and she promised Kiki she would finish the job. She tells me to give her everything I've got, and we'll find out which of us is better-suited to finish off Team Meteor. Well, since I'm forced to fight, fuck it. Sorry, Victoria, but if I want to stop Team Meteor, you're going to have to sit this one out. Punishment or not, it's for your own good! Victoria sends out Mienshao, while I send out Charles. Charles takes a Fake Out and a Knock Off, then burns Mienshao down with Heat Wave. She sends out her Alolan Raichu, whose special attack sharply rises with its Synthetic Seed, but I easily send out Falcone and knock it out with Sucker Punch. She sends out her Gallade, one of her aces, and Falcone knocks him out with a boosted Sucker Punch. As Falcone's blood count begins to rise, so does his strength. Victoria sends out Lucario, and it strikes Falcone down with Aura Sphere, but he BARELY survives as he takes down Lucario with him with Brave Bird. She sends out Togekiss, while I send out Auriol. Unfortunately, he gets knocked out in one hit with a critical hit Aura Sphere, so I send out Goddard with that Fairy Memory and have him use Iron Head while Togekiss uses Dazzling Gleam. Then Togekiss thinks up a Nasty Plot, but misses the Air Slash as Goddard knocks it out with two more Iron Heads. She sends out Incineroar while I send out Hydra. Victoria tells herself to minimize the chaos within, and she apologizes to her Sensei once more. After Incineroar intimidates Hydra, Hydra Dragon Dances around, getting his attack stat back, while being even faster. He then strikes Incineroar down with two Waterfalls as she tries knocking him out with Darkest Lariat. With Victoria's new and improved team defeated, I win the battle! Victoria apologizes to her Sensei again, and is shocked to see me win once more. She is surprised that after all of her hard work, training to be able to defeat them, she promised she'd never lose to Team Meteor again, but I still win. The door opens, her tiles change to yellow, and she gets shocked repeatedly on end, whereas I get to continue onward. I go to her, and she asks me what I am waiting for. She tells me to get going already, and she'll be fine. She says she'll prove as Kiki's successor that it's going to take a lot more than this to break her spirit. She tells me to go already, the others are... She tries to speak words, but she loses her will to speak. "Loss of speech is not among the effects of electroconvulsive therapy. She hasn't lost the ability to speak. Only her will." I hear those words replay from the Doctor as I witness the torture happening to Victoria, and can only wonder if the Doctor himself was the one who built the floor plan for Devon Corp. As well as this punishment right here. I then move on to the next room ahead. Don't worry Victoria! I promise I'll save you and the others. I have to! I'll put an end to their plans here once and for all! I head into the next room, and I see conveyor belts. Just then, the radio goes off, and the panels switch, which seems like the floor panels are still connected to the Radio Transceiver. If Arc is kidnapped, then who is controlling the floor panels? Also, sometimes when I walk, I end up floating, no animation at all. But when I step on the shock tiles and get shocked, I walk again. Dr. Sigmund, is this what you use to cure people who suffer from catatonia? Seriously, I'm thinking YOU designed these mad puzzles of Devon Corp. I am not sorry for psychological education. It takes a while, because I have to flip switches, while timing when I land on the tiles that don't shock me. I find a light shard and heal my Pokemon, even though I can easily go back to my cell and heal from the machine. However, I do make it across the room eventually unscathed. I head upstairs into the corridor, save my progress, and enter the next room. I head to the bars, and the door shuts behind me again. This time, Arc is locked in the other cell. He realizes that it's the same thing over again, and he tells me he found Adrienn. Xe's on the level below, and it was set up like this one. He asks if I've seen it, or the others, and he asks if the bitch was Lin. I confirm it was, and he tells me that she said we had to fight each other to get out. He says that Adrienn-- xe refused. He curses to himself, and says that xe said xe wouldn't fight, and that he should just go on. And the penalty... The floor was searing, and it wasn't pretty. This bitch is cooking satay out here! Just then, the screen turns on, and Lin asks if we understand yet. Arc already knows the drill. "You have no control. You never did. Even if your glass-spun egos depend on convincing yourselves otherwise. You are pigs to be herded. You are pigs to be hurt. Sputter, shiver and squeal. It changes nothing. You know what to do." The screen turns off, and Arc says that she's going to eat those words when one of us "little piggies" catches up to her. But right now... He found out the hard way before that even these bars are electrified. Plus the floor panels, which... If he's not at the control panel to switch them for me, then who is? That's what I've been wondering, Arc! Regardless for all of his tough talk, he doesn't have a way out of this. It pisses him off, but she's right. We got cocky, and now we're trapped. He asks me what I'm going to do, if I'm going to fight, or refuse like Adrienn. Shit, if we have to fight, I have no problems with that. If I gotta fight you guys to save you, I'm gonna. Fuck the penalties, I'm taking that bitch out myself! He's glad I'm making the choice to fight, and he's fighting for Adrienn's sake now too. He asks if I get that, and I do. The battle begins after a good talk. Let's do this, Arc! You and me! Let's dance! DJ Arclight sends out Luxray while I send out Falcone. I switch to Dragon-Goddard after Luxray intimidates Falcone, and Goddard Multi-Attacks Luxray. Eventually, he uses a Hyper Potion to heal it, but I keep going anyways. Luxray goes down, then Arc sends out Raichu, who uses Nasty Plot while I send out Amelia and set her up with a Calm Mind. Unfortunately, he sets up a second time and strikes with a critical hit Thunderbolt, knocking poor Amelia out. I send out Falcone, who goes for the critical hit Sucker Punch, knocking out Raichu and taking some blood. Arc sends out Jolteon, who also falls to Falcone's mighty Sucker Punch. He sends out Noivern, but Falcone simply doesn't give a fuck as he strikes with ANOTHER Sucker Punch, clocking Noivern out. He sends out Exploud, but nope! Another kill for Falcone as he Sucker Punches it down. He sends out Ampharos, and says that I've got a good showing, but tells me not to think he's going off the air just yet. He Mega Evolves Ampharos into... Mega Ampharos! Buuuuuuut the match is already over. After wiping all of Ampharos' other brethren, Falcone immediately wipes the floor with Ampharos with a blood-sucking, five-star finisher Sucker Punch. With all of Arclight's Pokemon defeated, I win the battle! Arc apologizes to Adrienn, and says that it's his turn now. He says that at least this way, winner and loser alike, we can both take pride in knowing that we did everything we could. He tells me to go get them, and calls me a hero. Just then, my cell door opens, and Arc falls below as the tiles open. I then head upstairs into the next room. I head into the next room, and it is another puzzle like the one before. I make my way across the spinners and tiles, and find the PULSE Read-out 01, updating the PULSE Dex! I read it, and it's... Magnezone. The very first PULSE... Magnezone. It created ZEL. This must be what's reproducing the PULSE machines! And it obeys only them, hmm... How strange... This is most likely where they've been hiding it all this time! Eventually, I make to the next room, and when I do, I witness a battle between Ame and Lin, Alolan Ninetales vs. Hydreigon. Ame is shocked that Hydreigon actually lived through an attack that probably should have fainted it, and Lin sees that the so-called "Champion" is this weak. How can anybody be anymore stronger than Ame? She's the CHAMPION. And have you seen the trainers here? Nope! She tells Hydreigon to finish the job with Flash Cannon, and Alolan Ninetales is defeated through an attack sequence as the screen flashes. Ame returns it to its Pokeball, and Lin declares "Checkmate." She orders Hydreigon to end it, as Hydreigon flies towards Ame and... Oh Lord... I can't watch! It charges and eats Ame's head... IS THIS MY PRIZE FOR WINNING THOSE BATTLES?! THAT'S HORRIBLE! Ame falls to the floor headless. The music changes into something more somber, and she returns Hydreigon to its Pokeball as she moves over to Ame. "Today, the heart of Reborn falls. How marvelous. And how droll." She walks back to the center, looks down at me, and leaves. The doors open, and I run over to the fallen Amethyst. I check to see if any of her Pokeballs remain, and they seem to have been taken... I kneel to the floor, and shed a tear for the fallen Champion. Amethyst... You were a proud, heroic leader. You rebuilt this city when it was desperately in a time of need, and you heralded as its Champion. I wish I could have risen to the top to fight you, but not like this... Because you're dead, Lin is the "Champion" now, and Bennett has a secure spot in the League. There is almost no way to take it all back. There is no way to change the past... But I can change today. I can change today so that I can make a better future. Lin, you will pay. You will pay the cost as steep as you gave Amethyst. With your life. And I will make sure that once I take your head, I will show it off to all of Team Meteor, so that they know their "Champion" has fallen just as ours has. I will make you my bitch. You will have nothing left. Not even a proper grave for all of your hopes and dreams. You will shatter. You will break. And you will fall. I will personally make sure of that. As I leave Ame's lifeless body behind, I head deeper in Team Meteor's toughest base yet. I make my way through the maze, and heal my Pokemon with the light shard. Eventually, I find more stairs. As soon as I get upstairs to the highest floor, I find ZEL arguing about something to themselves, as well as the PULSE that's keeping them together, PULSE-Magnezone. Sparks flying, wires everywhere and all. Lumi is trying to calm down Zero, while I walk over. I hear Zero ask Eve what the hell did she mess up so badly. Eve tells Zero that this wasn't a user error, and that some kind of corrupted program must have been injected in the system. Zero concludes that her security was just shit. Lumi yells at Zero, telling him to stop blaming Eve because she doesn't see him helping. He quickly tells her to shut up, and asks Eve if the data can be repaired or not. Eve reports that all PULSE2 and Arc-PULSE data have been left unaltered. However, the PULSE-Magnezone damage is irreparable, and she will need to rewrite it. Lumi is concerned, because if Magnezone is damaged-- Zero cuts them off, saying that there's no time to rewrite it, stating that Lin wanted all the PULSEs out of here hours ago. Eve is aware, hence why the other projects have been safely relocated. However, she says that Magnezone cannot be moved under the certain circumstances, and the timing could not be worse. Zero thinks that Lin must have known this was coming, and bets it has something to do with the hero brigade she had hauled in here. He assumes that we're plotting to destroy Magnezone like all the other ones. Just then, he spots me. "Speak of the devil." Eve says that it's too late already, and Lumi asks me if I've really come to destroy everything here. What the fuck? No! I'm not a monster like some people who go around savagely ripping heads off! FUCK YOU, LIN. Zero, however, thinks I'm lying, and says that they know all about my little hacking scheme too. Try talking to Terra, maybe SHE was the one who entered your system. She does have a way of fucking shit up, you know! Maybe Lin hacked the system to get Terra out of the digital world. Why don't you ask Lin? He says that there's no way in hell I'm going to get away with this, and Eve tells him to control his temper. She tells him that Lin requested that I not be harmed. Odd... Wouldn't she WANT to kill me? What role do I play in all of this? He agrees, but he's not just going to sit back and let me do whatever I want with his projects. Lumi defends Eve by asking HIS projects? She defends Eve by saying that she is the one thad does all the hard work, and he just bullies her all the time. Zero tells her to just stop talking and fight already. Eve, Lumi, you're going to be okay. Zero, you REALLY need to learn some manners and give credit to where it's due! If I have to take down PULSE-Magnezone and free you from your burdens, I will! ZEL sends out Aurorus. More specifically, Lumi does, while I send out Fighting-Goddard. Goddard strikes Aurorus down with Multi-Attack, but it survives with a Focus Sash, allowing it to use Stealth Rocks. Lumi gives an Ultra Potion, but Goddard still knocks down Aurorus anyway with a critical hit Multi-Attack. Eve sends out Alakazam, and I send out Falcone. Falcone strikes with Sucker Punch, knocking Alakazam down. Eve then sends out Espeon, and Falcone knocks it down too. Lumi sends out Glaceon, but it actually survives Falcone's Sucker Punch, and freezes him to death with Blizzard. No more bloodshed for you, buddy. I send out Auriol, who Swords Dances as Lumi heals Glaceon with an Ultra Potion. Damn, Lumi, wasting all of Zero's Ultra Potions so he doesn't use any. I see how it is! Auriol strikes Glaceon down with Close Combat, and Zero sends out Umbreon. Auriol pummels Umbreon with Close Combat, beating him down. In a last ditch effort, he sends out PULSE-Magnezone, who is unleashed by Lumi, who says that if they're going to get through this, they need its help. With each eye wielding the energy of Zero, Eve, and Lumi, I take it down once and for all with another Close Combat from Auriol. With ZEL defeated once and for all, I win the battle! With that all said and done, Eve has final words to say to Lumi. "Lumi, regardless of what happens now-- please remember that I will always, always love you." Lumi quickly runs over to Magnezone, who seems to be dying from the aftermath. She is horrified, and begs it to be okay. She tries to make out words, but then... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!! Just then, Magnezone explodes, shaking the whole room into disarray. The backup generator turns on, and ZEL is knocked unconscious. The PULSE-Magnezone lies in ruin, reading "PxLS* 01". Looks like some of it was blown away in the explosion. With Magnezone gone, I walk over to wake ZEL up. Zero is the one who wakes up, and hears that it's so quiet. He wonders what happened to the PULSE, and asks Lumi and Eve if they lost hearing during the explosion. However... Lumi and Eve are nowhere to be seen. Or heard. He realizes they're gone, and yells at them to say something. He realizes that Magnezone is truly gone, and also realizes that he is alone. Horrified, he repeatedly says this in a moment of insanity, and then he says he is empty. Having fully realized that he is completely alone, he says that he needs to get to Agate, and he quickly leaves. Zero... I honestly feel sorry for you at this point. You lost two people who you were connected to, and I hope whatever it is you find at Agate, it's worth it. As for Lumi and Eve... I have a feeling we will meet again. I head down to the lower floor again, and flip the switch. I move left on the conveyor belt, and head to the next room. Trapped with nowhere else to go, I hit the switch. The doors open, and so do the three in front of me. Out comes Victoria, Arclight, and Adrienn. Both Victoria and Arc fall to the floor, and Adrienn is unscathed. Adrienn was not ready to ride that ride, and Victoria asks if it's over. Adrienn asks if Arclight is okay, and Victoria says that everything hurts. She thought it was going to be the end for her. Adrienn tries to wake up Arc, as it's no time for a nap, but... Xe sees something horrible, and turns away. Victoria asks if he's dead, and we check on him. Adrienn says he's not, which is the good news. Victoria is horrified that they tore out his eye, which is the bad news. Victoria screams why, and Adrienn says that based on what Lin said to us, xe would reason that is his "penalty". Xe says that xe must have gotten lucky. After Arc went ahead, the floor of the cage xe was in became super-heated. Even though it hurt, xe was fine thanks to the help of xyr Pokemon. Victoria still wonders what the point of this was, and Adrienn cuts her off, wondering if anyone has seen Ame, as we're missing someone. I have... She's dead, jim... I watched her get murdered with my own two eyes! Adrienn horrified at the news, but then calmly says it's up to us, then. Victoria doesn't understand that if they wanted to stop us, why didn't they do it yet. She asks why not just kill us and be done with it. Adrienn reasons that the only thing xe can think of is in order to send a message, which REALLY pisses Victoria off, because they didn't give Kiki a message, and she didn't get the chance to live. She beats the wall, and wonders why she should have to be the one to live. Face it Victoria, if you were the dead one, we'd have two dead people with no Sensei. She was already dying, you know. She tells us not to get her wrong, she's already livid with Team Meteor for everything they've done. She will never forgive Cal for siding with them for even a second. But most of all, she's furious with herself for not being able to stop it. I agree with you, Victoria! I wasn't able to stop Hydreigon from brutally devouring Ame's head, but am I upset? A little, but I'm trying to move on from that. I've already vowed to make Lin pay, for not only our sake, but for all the other lives she's ruined. We're in this together, you hear? Adrienn consoles Victoria, saying that xe cannot pretend to know what her story is, or even what really happened, but xe knows this: "We cannot blame ourselves in the present for the mistakes we did in the past. Down there, outside... There's truly a wonderful city. It is, even now, lumbering, insurmountable, putrid, horrifying, unknowable... ...but still altogether wonderful. And not a day goes by that I don't think, for the past how many years that did not exist for me, if I had been here, maybe I could have kept things stitched together long enough that would have ever happened. Maybe this city would still be the shining paradise that it is now only in our memories. If I hadn't made a trivial mistake of falling into a fairy-ring-- But no. Those thoughts will not fix the city. They will not bring those we've lost back. And they will not help us to move forward. We must choose to move forward. And we'll drag the world along with us, even if it's kicking and screaming the whole way. You have that power too. So, will you help me?" Victoria is shocked at the large pep talk, and silently says that she is tired of trying to follow in the footsteps of the dead. But someone has to lead this city now, and Adrienn says for them to do it together. All of us. Victoria agrees, but says that we must first find a way out of here. Adrienn goes to pick up Arc, and asks where to. Victoria sees that the door just opened, right after I flipped the switch and freed them. Adrienn says that sounds like a plan as good as any, and we all leave. Together. Finally, we can put Devon Corp. to rest. To putting the past behind us! When we head outside, we find ourselves in a corner of North Obsidia Ward, which confuses all of us. Why. How. It looked like we were all on top of Devon Corp. Believe me though, I would have known if there were stairs. I was at the top, and there was nothing of significance up there. Victoria asks Adrienn what exactly happened when xe was with Ame. Adrienn says that when Arc sent the signal, they entered through the front as planned. There was the expected resistance, but then as soon as they were finished dealing with them, the exits sealed, and it was some kind of gas trap. Xe doesn't remember what happened after that. Victoria recalls that when she was trying to keep a path clear for me, another group of Meteors came from out of nowhere and knocked her out. Adrienn deduces that after rendering each of us unconscious, they transported us to this building. Victoria beats her up because again, she was unable to stop it. However, she realizes that Kiki was also weak, her body was killing itself. Kiki couldn't stop that, and she's not sure if she ever truly accepted it. She then fully realizes how the student becomes the master now, and that they have a lot of work to do. Adrienn agrees, and Victoria says that despite all of us being so pitifully weak, to look how far we've come. We all take a look at the city, and promise to protect it. Adrienn sees that this building was a cover for a Meteor facility too, and that's a lead, with whoever being responsible for this probably having ties to Team Meteor. Xe says that those records should be at the Grand Hall, and Victoria says that she'll take care of those and inform the other staff there about what's happened. Adrienn says xe'll get Arc into medical care and organize a party to search Devon and this building. The fact that they led us here and then freed us probably means they don't intend to use it anymore, which means there may be something we can still learn. Xe asks me if I can come by xyr gym later, as xe has one or two requests for me. Victoria will also be in touch as well. Adrienn wishes all of us luck, and they leave. With me on my own, I am free with my thoughts. So Ame is dead, Eve and Lumi are most likely dead, and Zero has gone completely insane. Arclight is in medical care after losing an EYE, Victoria has moved on from Kiki's death, and she and Adrienn are both working together to Make Reborn Great Again. Yup! Sounds like quite the chapter! I for one, am glad to have FINALLY solved this Devon Corp. shit. Since the moment I saw that building, I thought it was suspiciously ran by Team Meteor, and I was right! Chapter LVIII: Team Reborn's First Move, The Devon Corp. Conspiracy! I teach my Pokemon some new moves, then I head over to the Obsidia Ward, where I find Ame and Adrienn already in position. They both tell me to meet up with Arclight and Victoria down in the Underground Railnet. With that said, I head down there, but not before getting TM47 Low Sweep from surfing down in the Obsidia Ward. I head down to the basement entrance of Devon Corp, and use Flash to see. I end up finding the same Absol that was following me, and walks away through walls. Absol must be high as fuck. But still... If Absol is here, then something bad is going to happen here. I can feel it. I meet up with Victoria and Arclight, and Victoria says to talk to Arclight when I'm ready. I go talk to him, and he sees I got the lowdown already. Arc holds a radio comm' here, while the others have the receiving piece. When he sends the signal, we bust in at the same time. If the information he got was true, then we may be in for a lot of tough battles. But if we can do this, then we can end everything right here, right now. Once we go in, there's no turning back. He tells me to make sure I'm absolutely ready first, and I am. He tells me to go ahead, he'll radio the others and be right behind me. Victoria says that she's with me, and it'll be just like old times when we were fighting together before. Only this time, she'll make sure the scales are tipped in our favor. Team Meteor... ends today. I head upstairs, and I am met with three orderlies, all in which are dressed in new uniforms like what John had. They must have all sided with Team Meteor... They are happy someone finally shows up, and it's about time. They corner me, and say it's a shame they have to make me leave right away. Victoria quickly arrives, and says that there's not a Pokemon in this world strong enough to toss us aside. Um... I can think of PLENTY that can not only toss us around, but can also KILL us. Do you really want to choose those words? I certainly wouldn't want to be speared into a kabob by a fucking Conkeldurr. Arc shows up too, and says that it's time we take them off the air. Victoria and I battle the two in front of us, while Arc goes and battles the one in front of him. We beat them, and they back up, while Arc dismisses them, saying the conflict is over now. Victoria sends out Incineroar, who quickly destroys the gate. She returns it to its Pokeball, and she and Arc head upstairs. Meanwhile, there is either a Mega Stone or a Z-Crystal in the corner, and I can't get it... I talk to the three orderlies, who say that was actually the most fun they've had in weeks. They ask if we couldn't have found this place sooner. The man says he would have thought twice before taking this job if he knew he would be facing me again. There's not much point in a battle like that, which he learned that much from the first fight he saw me in at the orphanage. The last orderly says that just because Dr. Connal's gotten wrapped up in Team Meteor, doesn't mean they have to. Since the orphanage has been on a temporary close, she'd be out of a job otherwise. Then she realizes that's my fault too. I head upstairs, and Arc is worried about Ame and Adrienn. He says they should have finished dealing with the storefront by now, but they're not here. He doesn't see them, and assumes they went on ahead. He says he'll go on ahead just far enough to see if they are up there. He tells me to check the storefront for him, and tells Victoria to watch our exit in case anyone comes to separate us that way. He doesn't this, and goes on ahead. Victoria tells him to be safe and not to go too far. She asks me if it was really okay that we let those three downstairs go, and she was honestly expecting more of a fight. I head to the storefront, and the whole place is ransacked apart. I find three Meteor grunts, all unconscious. I find a shiny object on the ground, and pick up the Radio Transceiver. Did Ame drop this? This can't be good... I head up to the second floor, and I find two orderlies just savagely knocked out cold by Arc and Victoria. DAMN, guys, what did we say about secrecy? Victoria calls it karma, and says that they had it coming to them. Arc thanks her for the backup, and Victoria says it was nothing. She heard fighting from downstairs, and she wasn't about to just stand by. Arc asks me if there's any sign of Ame or Adrienn, and I flash the Radio Transceiver. I show it to him, and he says that this is no doubt the radio he lent Ame. He couldn't even send a message to them. He's shocked they actually dropped it, and Victoria wonders if they were overpowered. Arc says that between the champion and a gym leader, that's hard to imagine, but... He shakes it off, and says that they have to be fine. He says that we'll probably find them if we keep going, and takes a look around the room. He thinks he gets what it is, and walks through. He gets shocked, and Victoria asks if he's okay. He says it's nothing, but he wouldn't recommend stepping on them though. He walks and finds a terminal, and says that it controls the patterns on the floor. He sees that there are three patterns, and from what he can tell here, they're on multiple floors. The only way to steer them is right on this floor, and says that it's a mess. He asks me if the radio still works, and says that he'll stay back here and work the terminal, while breaking the fourth wall, telling me to press the A button to use the radio and signal him whenever I want to rotate the floor's pattern. He'll be counting on us, and Victoria steps back. She gets the feeling this puzzle will go sour if we try and do it at the same time, so I go ahead first, and she'll trace my footsteps and timing when I'm done. I make my way through easily, and head to the second floor. Victoria follows me, and we both get stopped by two more Meteor orderlies. They say it would be a shame if all of this persistence went to waste now, and Victoria says that the only thing that will be wasted is Team Meteor. The other orderly asks if that attitude is what she teaches down at that "tawdry school", and she'll be happy to give them a lesson right now. We teach them a lesson of whoopass, and Arc contacts us. He asks us if we can hear him, and he asks us if we are alright because he heard fighting. Victoria says that we're fine, and says that there's no way she'll lose to Team Meteor ever again. Arc says that's music to his ears, and Victoria says there's another one of those floors up here, and asks if he can handle it. Arc says it's not even a factor, telling me I know what to do. Both of the orderlies are salty they lost, and say whether it's spirit or psyche, both break away in time. Victoria questions why these floors were installed, and can't imagine they were just made to slow us down. I follow the path again, and Victoria mysteriously follows my trail somehow, and the two orderlies ask how much longer do we intend to flounder in affairs well beyond our ability, and Victoria asks if they want to see just how far this ability goes. The orderly facing her sees her getting riled up, and asks what would Kiki think. Victoria tells him not to dare act like he knows her, and as long as he sides with Team Meteor, he is not even fit to speak her name. We fight them, and they taunt us after we beat them. Victoria tells the orderly to say Kiki's name one more time and see what happens. He thinks for a moment, and asks if that's what Kiki wants. Victoria then straight up knocks him out cold. The other one says that even she can't say he didn't deserve that. Victoria heads onward, while the orderly says that one of the superiors gave them a little bit of info on Victoria. Well, all of us. She guesses that some of them decided to put it to use. I head upstairs into a small corridor where I find Victoria. She knows that she's disappointing Kiki right now because this isn't how she taught her. But at the same time, she can't let these people get away for what they did. She vows she will never, ever forgive them. She continues talking as she steps forward, but then it turns out to be a trap. The door behind us shuts, and Victoria quickly goes to the exit, seeing that it's completely sealed. The walls start closing in. She tells me to move, and we both start moving. She sends out Incineroar, who holds the walls together, just giving us enough room to squeeze through. However, she tells me to go on without her. She says they'll be fine, and to hurry. I make my way through, leaving her and Incineroar behind. I'll come back for you, Victoria! I head upstairs, and Arc contacts me. He asks if everything is okay, as things were pretty loud up here just now. I tell him Victoria stayed behind, and he says as long as she's with her Pokemon, he thinks she'll be fine. I tell him there's still no sign of Ame and Adrienn, and he says this hasn't gone as planned at all. He says I'm close to the top now, there might be something up there. He says we should get through this and save everyone. I try and go back, but the passage is completely sealed. I make my way through, and one of the orderlies spots me. He asks if I thought coming here would find something helpful. I beat him, and he says that they already relocated everything they need, and that both projects are safe and sound, with nothing we can do about that. I make my way through the floor, and find another orderly, who says I really should have known better than to trust an anonymous tip. I beat him, and he says that it's too late, we're already trapped. He further states that every step, no, every breath we've taken has been scripted. With all of the orderlies defeated, I make my way to the top floor. I will keep going. Trap or not, I must save the others! I head to the top floor, and Arc contacts me in a hurry. He says that she found him, he means Lin, the leader of Team Meteor did. The radio breaks up, but I hear the word help. Looks like it was a trap after all... I walk through, finding three items I can grab. There's no PULSE, no Meteors in sight, just three items, one including a TM. However, before I make my way to claim my rewards, the tile on the floor turns yellow, and I get zapped into unconsciousness... I should have known it was a trap. But how many people has Lin killed? We have technically only seen her kill two people. One, if you think that Titania was the one who killed Taka. I would think Sirius is up top, but then again, Lin did kill Ame the Champion.

I'm most excited for the story. We'll be seeing almost all of the characters again, fighting either at least one or the rest of the PULSES before Arcrus, and we'll be getting several Pokemon I've been waiting for.

Serra's probably gonna be looking for Bennett to punish him for the shit he's doing. She certainly didn't raise him to be a little creepy bastard. Also, is there even a Meteor base in Aventurine? There is at least one in every part of the Reborn region, but I don't think we've come across one in Aventurine. Unless you count the Circus... Either the Glass Workshop and suspicious house are in Aventurine, or they are in Carnelia. From what Take is implying, that base is most likely in Carnelia, seeing as you can get there from Route 4. Who knows, maybe there will be another Meteor base in Agate City itself.

What part did Taka say that? I don't remember him saying that at all.

I'm just basing off of what we might see in the nightclub, or wherever we go to rebattle important characters post story. Gym leaders might be rebattle let me, they might not. Kinda like how Gen IV leaders could be rebattleable in the postgame.

Jeez, already 95%. I could very likely see Saphira go with Charizard X. Charlotte would more likely have Charizard Y, because that has Drought, which is something she actually uses. Charizard X would be perfect for Saphira because both Fire AND Dragon moves are both really effective in her field.

Chapter LVII: Team Reborn, Assemble! After doing a SHIT ton of sidequests, I am finally ready to get on with the story again. I head into the Grand Hall, and walk right up to Ame. Before I talk to her though, I talk to the people at the front desk. They explain their future plans for the Reborn City Restoration Project by saying they've come a long way in a short period of time. They say there is still much to do, and explain what still needs to be done. First, they are still finishing up the repairs for the Beryl Wall. Then they can finally reopen Grandview Station. After that, they plan to rebuild Obsidia Slums from the ground up and make it a low-income housing district and resource center with community gardening and job-finding resources. Second, they'll look at reinforcing underground structures and rebuilding an efficient intercity subway system. Finally, they'll also be restarting the Reborn Pokemon Reintroduction Project with a brand new fully-furnished facility on Azurine Island. I go and talk to Ame, who is happy to see that Julia and Florinia found me after all. She's glad, and my timing is perfect. She tells me to wait a second, as she wraps up something with her secretary. She tells him to go inform Bennett that they've accepted him. She adds that he certainly did famously in the trial battle, but something feels weird about the situation. She's still hung up on Laura's resignation, but the letter she sent was hand-written, signed, and unquestionably hers... She shrugs it off, and asks if he could take care of the rest. She asks him what Bennett's types are, and the secretary says yes. He'll register and notify Bennett of his position. She thanks him and she turns over to me, saying she's got a couple of things to take care of, but she could use my help. She starts to explain, but says it's best if everyone is here. She says that Adrienn, Victoria, and DJ Arclight are taking care of various things around the city. She's not exactly sure where they are right now, but I know them, and I have a good guess where to start. She tells me to just tell them to come back here when I find them, she'll be waiting. Okay, what the fuck is going on?! I KNOW that something is going on! I'll put my thoughts in at the end of this chapter like I usually do, but something isn't right with how Bennett was set into the Elite Four! Knowing where to start first, I fly to the Coral Ward. I see Adrienn giving a speech in front of xyr gym. The people ask to document the design maintenance procedures, and draft a schedule for employees to check it. Xe asks them if it's for public safety regulations, and tells them to get it online, print filers, and have one of the volunteers post the ordinances throughout the city. Turns out Adrienn is a psychic, as xe can tell who each and every individual is and where they are from. The woman xe talks to is having problems with electricity, which somebody was supposed to go by on Tuesday. Nobody showed up, and Adrienn is understanding, knowing what it's like to deal with stuff for so long. Xe turns to ask a volunteer if he's finished with the place on Kingsbury. Kingsbury... I remember those houses underwater saying Kingsbury, maybe the name was adopted into the new city? He says that he is finished, and xe commends him, asking if he can escort her to Mr. Finesilver in the Neo-Circuit Power Plant. Mr. Finesilver is filling in for Julia at the moment. Xe gives xyr signature, asking if he needs something else. He'll get it back to the office right away, and xe thanks everyone for all of their hard work, and to come to xyr if they have any problems. Everyone leaves, and xe takes deep breaths. Xe apologizes for making me wait, and hopes I've been well. Xe understands I've been gone for a while, but this city is one xe can be proud of. Even if it fell apart before, the pieces were always there. It just took someone to put them back together. Xe says that with the help of the local gym leaders, students from Apophyll and Onyx, and more volunteers than xe could have ever hoped for, xe thinks that they've really made a miracle happen here. However, it was daunting, almost nightmarish in the beginning, but one doesn't make this all happen with announcements and inspirational speeches alone. Xe started at one house at a time, taking a personal interest in each crack and story within its walls. From teaching others to do the same in return, everything has erupted outwards into some kind of dream. But we're not done yet, not even close. I then tell xyr my reason for coming here, and that Ame is calling for her. Xe understands, and tells me to go on ahead. Xe has a couple more things to finish, so xe'll stay here. I fly over to the Obsidia Ward, and find Arclight as the nightclub. He greets me well, asking me how I'm doing. He understands that I was sent by Ame to get him, and he already knows what the situation is. He ended up getting involved in the city's business after Adrienn asked him to throw a tag out for xem on the broadcasts. They were able to recruit a lot of volunteers that way, although some of them just wanted to meet him, which was a mess. Wait a minute, if you're that elusive of a person to meet, if you're THAT famous, then why the hell would you just randomly be on the street for me to meet you? I kinda expected to meet you IN the nightclub. Whatever, you're a bro anyways. However, he got a call-in tip from a listener about-- Team Meteor. They're at it again, big shock. He says he'll go on ahead, he just has to clear out the area first. He tells me to go tell Ame he'll be waiting at the meeting place. He leaves, and I go find Victoria. I fly over to the Beryl Ward, and head to the cemetery. I find Victoria, standing over Kiki's grave. She is surprised to see I am really back, because she heard things were happening up in Carnelia, and she was really worried. She's happy to see I'm doing just fine, as I always am. She walks to Kiki's grave, and says that we always are. She was just saying "Hello," "It's been a while," and "Did you find the peace you were looking for?" She turns to me, thinking this city finally has found the peace it was looking for, but she wishes she could say the same. She says that trying to take over the academy has been, well, not the shoes she's capable of filling. She laments that it's never going to be the same without her, but then it's thanks to her sacrifice that it even still exists. She's been thinking, how can the place continue to grow? She realized that the answer wasn't to tear themselves away from Reborn City like they did before, but to give themselves to it. Many of their students have been very involved in helping bring everything together here. However, that's just the answer she found. If Kiki was still here-- and if she were still in charge, her answer might have been different. Victoria apologizes, and says that she's just going off about things like always. I tell her Ame is looking for her, and wonders if she has another project for the students. She says she'll go meet her, and thanks me for telling me. For now, she just wants another moment here, but not before telling me silently that it's good to see me again. I fly back to the Opal Ward and enter the Grand Hall, where I see Adrienn and Ame. While we're waiting for the others, Adrienn asks Ame that if xe was gone for so long, why didn't she replace xyr. Surely if the league was still going, they would need a new Fairy Leader. Ame doesn't want to tell xyr this, but they actually did replace xyr. Adrienn is shocked, and would love to meet the new...old leader. However, nobody's seen or heard from him since the incident in the Jasper Ward, which means that it was very likely he didn't make it. Then Adrienn came back when Ame was finishing arranging a replacement, which was nice timing in that regard. Adrienn apologizes for bringing something up like that, and I go talk to Ame. I tell Ame that Arclight is meeting us there, and assuming that he takes the low way, that will be alright. Victoria comes in, apologizing for making us wait. I take a step back, and we all huddle up. Ame says that Arclight's not coming here, but he already knows, so this is everyone. Victoria asks if something is going on, and Ame gives us the situation: They received an anonymous tip that Team Meteor still has a base in the city, right under our noses. Everyone assumes Devon, and our suspicions our confirmed. I knew it was Devon the moment I saw that shady-ass building! Ame asks us how we know, and from Adrienn's point of view, it is the only logical place left. Xe's been all over the rest of the city pretty intimately, and Devon Corp. is the only place that's always restricted anyone from working around. Victoria even notes that the storefront just looks shifty for what's supposed to be an international company. Adrienn adds that Sweet Co. invested heavily in the restoration, and even Silph Co. was generous enough to donate funds. The fact that Devon still refused to give funds makes us even more suspicious. Ame reveals that it is no longer a suspicion or anonymous lead. She took the liberty of calling Mr. Stone with a business inquiry regarding Devon's Reborn branch. But how can there even be a branch... ...if it doesn't exiiiiiiiiiiiist? Victoria says that it's settled, and we can shut it down for good. However, Ame says that there is one more thing. Our informant also said that the leader of Team Meteor is hidden there right now. Victoria assumes that it is Solaris down there, and promises not to hold back. However, Ame corrects her, saying that it is Lin. Man, just how long has it been since you've kept track of what's going on, Victoria? Did you just hide under a rock after the events of Pyrous Mountain? Ame says that from what Saphira told her, we can't take any chances with Lin. Ame needs all of us, which is why she's going too. This is surprising, because Adrienn thought she would stay in the sidelines. For a second, Ame turns to think how ANNA was the one who originally asked her to do that... ...Is Anna smiling down at me? Is Shade smiling down at me too? Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide? No escape from reality? Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see... Ame turns back to us, and says that at this point, if we can end all of this now, she'll do whatever it takes. Besides, as the champion, she can't just sit and do nothing. BITCH, I know you just didn't say you were CHAMPION?! DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN, GIIIIIIIIRRRRRLLL!!! After I whoop ass on the rest of these gym leaders, I'm coming for your ass too! She apologizes to me, asking if I didn't know already, saying that it's not something she likes to toss around or brag about. But she did restart this league after all, and who do I think runs the trial battles for the gym leaders? She says that it's not important right now, and we need to focus on Devon Corp. She's already talked over the details with Arclight, so we go over the plan. The Plan: The main level is probably fairly secure, even if they don't want to be seen. We're going to take a pincer movement with one group in the front, and another group approaching from the basement level connecting to the Railnet. We'll rendevous in the middle, and tackle the upper floors together. Ame asks if we have any questions, and Adrienn asks how the groups will be decided. Ame says that she and xyr will take the storefront. If they pretend to be there on city restoration business, it won't be suspicious. Meanwhile, she says that me, Victoria, and Arclight will come up under and behind them. Adrienn says that if we work together, they won't stand a chance. Victoria promises that she will show Team Meteor the same mercy they showed Kiki, and Ame says we're set, and not to waste any time. They all leave, leaving me to conclude with this chapter with some thoughts. HOLY SHIT, SHIT IS GOING DOWN. I KNOW that Elias forged Laura's resignation. Most likely used Ditto for that! She wouldn't just get fired like that out of the blue. Not even Ame knew what was going on! Laura even said herself, she was FIRED, not resigned! I don't know what's going on, but it seems like Bennett and Elias did some shady shit to get Bennett in the Elite Four! And I am just going to assume that Bennett is a member of Team Meteor at this point. I mean, he is literally with someone who is in Team Meteor. Elias probably recruited him in that, too. And I have a baaaaaad feeling for what is going to go down in Devon Corp. Gonna bring in the big guns for this one! BUT WAIT A MINUTE! Before I conclude this chapter with the stuff I usually do, I want to TRULY assemble the Reborn Team! Do you really think it is just us four? HELL no! There's several more, all fighting to keep the peace in the Reborn region! Chapter LVI: Reliving Memories Of Stickers And Training, The Perfect Child! After setting out to find memories for Goddard, I realize that I still need stickers! I fly to Apophyll, and a girl is in need of a TV. I go and steal the community TV in the main hall, but then another girl is upset, and battles me for the TV back. I beat her, and she's forced into doing work, but I tell her I'm doing this for a girl in her dorm. It turns out that they are roomates, meaning that the TV would still go to her anyways. She then goes to where she was before, denying she saw me, and that we never battled, and I was never here. She tells me to take the TV and go quickly, so I haul the huge TV down to the girl in her room. Even she is shocked, as I actually brought her a TV. Yup, just picked up the whole fucking TV and just carried it down here... She is extremely happy as I quickly set it down and she hopes she doesn't get in trouble. She gives me a Department Store sticker, but SINCE I am here, I'll study a bit. I talk to each of the people reading books from the shelves, and they each read me something interesting... "The Value of Loss and the Danger of Victory": "For Trainers, many emotions can be attached to the outcome of a battle: Joy, disappointment, excitement, relief, embarrassment... Truly, the tumult of combat is a sculpted roller-coaster of emotions. However, in that chaos, many people lose sight of what it is that really matters. The moment a battle concludes, it ceases to be meaningful in itself. For combat itself, what is important is the coming wars. As such the purposes of the previous fight's result are often distorted by emotion. To win many fights may be exciting, but it also spells the impending loss. Find a comfortable seated position, and close your eyes. Then simply think about nothing. When you first try this, you will quickly realize how difficult it is for you to stop thinking. For beginners, it is also sometimes helpful to instead think only about the rhythm of one's breath. Continue in this way to practice clearing your head and keeping it free of distraction for as long as you wish to meditate." With all of this knowledge, I speak to the girl on the balcony, who came back after being gone for a while. She gives me a Meditite, and since I'm already here, I head off to explore Apophyll to find memories for Goddard. I head into the cave I previously explored, and I find TM41 Torment and the Dragon Memory, while also finding some rocks I can blow up. I then leave and fly to Spinel Town. When I head to Spinel Town, I apparently get the Department Sticker right away, even though I am SUPPOSED to save the person after she warps away, and I have to get her medicine after she injures herself. Maybe I did this one before, I don't remember. Since I am here anyways, let's re-explore Chrysolia! First thing's first, I visit Serra in her estate. However, she is nowhere to be seen, so I go upstairs and check every room again. I find the Bug Memory in Bennett's room. I wonder how that loser's doing... If I know anything, it's that we'll most likely be seeing him next episode, complete makeover. Calling it now. I leave and head to the museum, where I find an Eevium-Z in a room on the second floor of another building in front of the museum. I head to the Chrysolia Springs, which were completely revamped since way back when, since I'm doing Episode XVI's content. I get confused at first, but then realize I'm supposed to push rocks into holes and over water springs to spring myself to higher places. I find several items as I explore, such as the Red Card, the Razor Fang, I also get the Flame Plate, then find a way around to get to a room with thick steam. I make my way through, and find the Fire Gem and a Magmarizer. Eventually, I get TM43 Flame Charge. In another part of the sauna, I find a Flame Orb, and when I make it to the last sauna room, I find a Cameruptite! I re-explore Mysidia Railcave, and this time I follow the path with two rocks rather than the path that the rails don't face. Instead, I am taken into a room where I find TM100 Confide, and a Field Effect I already had. I also find a hidden Ability Capsule and a few rocks to mine and blow up. After that, I leave. I head to the depths of Tanzan Mountain to find more rocks to mine, as well as a Seviper who's just drinking acid. I catch it, then leave and fly to the still dark Vanhanen Castle, where I find the Psychic Memory in the room that Elias was in when he was teaching chess. I then head to Iolia Valley, and explore. On the way, I find a Protector, which is useful for evolving a Rhydon later on. I mine a few rocks I missed, and punch some more walls. I find an unstable room, and find the Dark Memory in it. Just over the waterfall, I find some Dark Material... I'll come back later to see if I can find some more. I fly to the Beryl Ward and head to Rhodochrine Jungle. I find the Dread Plate in the cage I was trapped in ages ago, and head into a cave where I find a Hyper Potion and the Rock Memory. In addition, I also find TM01 Work Up on a bridge, and a Meadow Plate hidden in a bush. I head back in the city, and I find a girl's parents, who tell me all about her. Her mother tells me that they've been so lonely after their daughter took off to join her place in the world. She thinks that it's normal for parents after their kid leaves the nest, and she's happy her daughter's off living her life. However... she's changed drastically over a short period of time. She says she would be lying if she said she hadn't thought drugs were involved, but she always came up totally clean. Strange, children can be. I talk to the girl's father, and he asks if I'm challenging the gym league. He adds that their daughter is a gym leader too, and she's actually a lot of things. From computer technician, to even being a lion tamer at Agate Circus! He says that they are SO proud of her, and that she's a real peach; I'd absolutely love her. Yup, I sure do, considering how crazy and rawrsome she is. Probably even more so in bed. I talk to him again, and he says that for a while, they were really worried about her. He notes that she would always lock herself in her room, and she was so shy she wouldn't talk to anyone. She wasn't the type to make friends at school, but she never went anywhere else, so she just stayed in her room and played video games all day. They always asked, "what kind of a future would someone like that have?" Then just one day, all of a sudden, she told them she was going off to pursue her life's secret dream of joining the circus. And she did great! He concludes by saying sometimes you just gotta let kids do their thing until they're ready. I talk to the mother again, and she says that maybe their daughter changed as a result of meeting that girl... She says the timing makes sense, but wonders how a kid like that could have such an impact on her. She would say that one never knows what might become a formative experience, but it doesn't quite add up. She rationalizes that maybe if she went into social work after they tried adopting that orphan girl, would make sense, but the circus? Where would that come from? She says it's almost like she became a completely different person overnight! She shrugs, and says that as long as she's happy. After meeting such a delightful family, I leave. HOLD UP! I KNOW that they are Terra's parents! Now, I don't want to get too much into this shit right now, but that orphan girl they tried to adopt?! That's gotta be somebody close to Terra, and I think you all know what that means... I'll be analyzing this shit soon, but that's some DEEP stuff right there! I fly to Agate Circus, and find a construction worker blocking off to the path of the Ferris Wheel. He says that it's still not running, and he says that Terra put a number on it. Again. He wonders why Terra would go and put Alolan Exeggutors in every cart of the ride, but he should have learned to stop asking questions after the Wailord incident. He also says that they were cleaning when they found something in the junk. He was asked to dispose of it, but he thought it was still useful. He gives me the Fighting Memory, and says that they've got to get her under control. They've prohibited her from being around the Ferris Wheel ever since the time opened and found the entire structure perfectly intact, but upside down. In retrospect, she might have just taken that as a challenge. I fly to Calcenon City, and head out to where I fixed the stairs to the shortcut entrance. I head into the room I found the Electrizer and Magmarizer, and find the Ghost Memory. I evolve Goddard into Silvally, and then head off to Celestinine Mountain from the Cascade, and find TM21 Frustration. I head left and make my way to Citrine Mountain. I skip past the Skuntank because I'm saving him for later, and make my way up to the second floor. I keep riding the waterfalls upward, finding items along the way, until I make it to the third floor. I mine the rocks, and grab the Amplifield Rock, TM23 Smack Down, and the Grass Memory. I head back to Celestinine Mountain, and I climb the ladder to the second floor. I go to the dive spot, and make my way to the waterfall, where I go up to the next floor. I then push the boulders into the walls with Charles, and slide on the ice through. I climb the waterfall up to the fourth floor, and find rocks to mine, TM67 Smart Strike, and the Water Memory. I fly to Ametrine City and head to the storage shed that Heather was trapped in. In there, I find a machine that dispenses the Flying Memory! What would Blake be doing with something like this? Maybe he thought it was the Ice Memory... I head back, and see a girl who's lost her necklace. I also see an old man who's worried about a certain Pokemon. I head up the mountain, but I find a Lucario on a roof! It runs off, and the old man knows I saw it. Whether by treachery or tragedy, it was abandoned by its trainer here and it resents humans. He says that it decided to live in the chilled caves of Ametrine, rather than accept help from humans. He says it might be impossible to catch, but if I'm determined, he's sure it could be found somewhere. However, before I go off and find it, I head to the Pokemon Center to heal and switch out Pokemon. In the building next over, there's a bunch of computers, and the admin is freaking out over viruses. He says that it is a new type of virus, and I take it on myself. Sure enough, it's a group of Missingno. I defeat three of them in a row, The system admin thanks me by giving me a Department Store Sticker, and I head on my way to find Lucario and that necklace. I fly to the Lapis Ward and by the girl a Floral Charm. I give it to her, and she makes a new necklace, giving me the Banettite as thanks. I head to the eastern side of the mountain, and find Lucario with an egg, meaning it's a mother. She pushes me away, and leaves with the egg. I head back to the old man, who is surprised it is a female. He guesses that it's seeking someone to look after its child, since it seems awfully close to the city. Perhaps she realizes that this place is no place to raise a child. He says that it'll seek temporary shelter in a cave. I climb Ametrine Mountain, and find a small pathway that was once blocked off. I follow it, and find Lucario, who challenges me to a battle. Even though she is level 85, she isn't too difficult to fight, since Charles just burns through her. After I defeat her, she takes a long while to consider, then bows her head slightly. She disappears, and I head inside the cave. I find the egg, along with the Fairy Memory. I head back to the old man, and he is surprised it fled and left the egg to me. He hopes Lucario will be well, and says it is up to me to raise the egg with the care Lucario herself did not receive. He hopes it has a better life. I fly to Route 1 and head inside the Nature Center, where I find a scientist who dropped his glasses in the woods... even though it looks like he's wearing glasses. I find the Wide Lens on the third floor, and I am also given the Itemfinder. Why have I not had this before? I then head inside South Aventurine Woods, and traverse through the maze, fighting Heracross and Pinsir, clearing paths for Tauros to run through until I find the nerd's glasses. I do the same for North Aventurine Woods, and I find a Sharp Beak and the Sharpedonite, perfect for Archer! I go and return the glasses, and receive a Department Store Sticker. Last, but not least, I finally grind out my Pokemon. Piplup evolves into Prinplup, then Empoleon. I grind Goddard to catch up as well. With that all said and done, I believe it's finally time to get on with the show! Before I conclude this chapter, I want to analyze some lore and shit. What the FUCK happened to Terra that made her change so much? Terra's family tried adopting LIN. It sounds pretty obvious that a YOUNG LIN would go and persuade Terra to join the circus. BUT THAT'S JUST HOW IT STARTS. THEN, Terra joins Team Meteor there. Because something is DEFINITELY up with Agate Circus. Back in Episode XII, the Ringmaster said that her father mysteriously disappeared... In addition, around the circus, people talked of the history with how Agate Circus was formed. Remember when they said that the man found crystals in a cave, and sold them to somebody for a shit ton of money to make Agate Circus? I'm guessing that certain somebody was Team Meteor. With Terra in Team Meteor, and given the history, who is to say that Samson and Ciel aren't agents of Team Meteor as well? Who is to say that the RINGMASTER isn't a member of Team Meteor? I mean, she DOES kinda look like ZEL (Well, Zero's case) a little bit, who's to say they aren't related? But anyways, Lin rises in rank, so does Terra, so on and so forth. Calling it now, but when we stop the sleeping signal, there's going to be a MAJOR conspiracy regarding Agate and Team Meteor... Can't wait to write that one! It's time to pay Ame a little visit now! I don't even know if it's the first written Reborn playthrough out there, but what I DO know that since it is an old playthrough, things might look off or so. That's because it was around since before the site changed its look. When that happened, it seemed to compact everything together, making paragraphs and spacing seem really tedious to have to do all over again. Once I finish up with the new stuff I haven't gone through yet, I'll most likely go back and polish it so it looks like what it was before. Chapter LV: The New And Improved Land of Reborn, Making Reborn Great Again! ...No? Sorry, just wanted to make a fun, creative title... But we are finally into the contents of Episode XVI in this story, even though I jumped from Episode XV to Episode XVII, but still! On with the story! Now I originally was going to do a chapter of tiny stuff I still needed to do BEFORE doing the story for Episode XVI, but I guess it's turning out to be much more than I thought! As I exit from the Big Top's computer room, I am overwhelmed with the flow of cheery, happier music of the city. However, that's not all I get, as I receive content of the PULSE Dex, and Field App Notes! First, I teach Charles Fly, then fly to Calcenon City. Turns out Charlotte is watching out for Meteor instead of Saphira, who is sleeping. I see Cain and Hardy, who are out looking for Anna and Noel. Cain says that that they went missing all of a sudden, but has a lead on what happened. Anna said that Nostra had something to show her, and that they'd be right back. However, things aren't looking good, as they've been gone for a long while... Hardy says that both of them are MIA. He says that they rolled out of the east exit from Calcenon, but there is no trace. He suspects Meteor got them, just like Aya, and is determined to bring them down. I then head back to Eclipse's house, and I am FINALLY able to go to her room. I then grab the mysterious item... the SHINY GEM. As if I haven't already found shinies. Seriously, just today, I found a shiny Donphan, and I was trying to AVOID wild Pokemon. I take one look at Eclipse's lifeless body, and leave. Eclipse... I know you were a Meteor, but if there is any way to revive you, I would. I would even use Arceus' power to save everyone and make Reborn great again myself. #MRGA With that said, I finally fly to Reborn City. Holy shit, the city looks BEAUTIFUL!!! The flowers, the trees, the buildings, the people! EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!! Make Reborn Great Again has launched with a successful start! But there is still more work to be done before Reborn can truly be great again! Starting with 7th Street... Out of curiosity, I head down to the spot in 7th Street where there is a healing machine and a PC. However, I find a ladder, and it takes me all the way down to a new part of the Water Treatment Center. I find TM58 Skydrop, then head through the door, unlocking the door to the room Taka was in. With nothing else at the moment, I leave. I go to the PC, drop most of my team in there, and talk to a new face near the black market. He remembers me from when I saved him in Beryl when he was trapped. He's in a place like 7th street because he's still on official business with the police. He reveals that they've known about this place for quite a while, and there was some debate on whether or not they should step in during the city's restoration, which may yet happen. However, for the time being, the chief's orders were to just monitor and leave it alone. It is understandable, because if the people here think that the police don't know about this place, they'll keep their business here. This way, the police can keep watching them, collect evidence, and be able to nail them when it really counts. If they were able to pull a bust here, then after a while, the people would find some other cranny the police don't know about to do their shady business, and the police would lose control that way. He tells me to leave this to them, and they'll make sure this place doesn't fester too much. He tells me to take care, as Reborn's got a lot riding on me. With that nice reunion, I head on over to the black market in the corner. Yeah, I've got a bust of my own to settle! All the Pokemon are up for sale, using shards. The trader's got a strict policy: He doesn't say where he gets them, and he doesn't say where he sells them. Umm... Isn't he selling them right in front of me? He also obviously got them from Team Meteor, these were all in Blackstream Factory! Well, except for that perfect Shiny Ditto I saved... So for sale, we have Cyndaquil, Jigglypuff, Makuhita, Lickitung, Loudred, Vanillite, Roggenrola, and Abra. Yup, all from Blackstream Factory! I start off by buying Cyndaquil, who comes from Sanford. I name him Cinder, then I get Jigglypuff, who comes from Santiago. I name her Jiggles, then proceed with the next. I buy Makuhita next, who comes from Felicia. I name him Mako, and buy Lickitung, who comes from Myles. I name her Felicia, and move on to the next one. I buy Loudred next, who comes from Lillin. I name her Mary, then move on to the Vanillite, who comes from Eustace. I name him Cream, and buy Roggenrola next, who comes from Mr. McKrezzy. I name her Roxy, and finally buy Abra, who comes from Arzelle. I name her A Bra. Seriously, the pun is already there. After I buy out the whole black market, I leave. Just then, Arc shows up, and asks if I remember him from the nightclub. He says that he's been keeping his eye on this place for a while, and there's something fishy about it. He's seen me buy from the guy a few times, but I don't seem like his typical customer. Arc is sure that the Pokemon this guy is selling are stolen, and he isn't ABOUT that life. Most of the trader's customers don't care a thing about Pokemon, and they usually end up abusing them. Arc informs that if these Pokemon really are stolen, it might not be practical to find their original owners, but at least we can get them to a good place, which is where I come in. He gives me the mission of buying up the rest of the Pokemon. Which I already did... He won't sell them to Arc because he's raised hell here in the past. Once we clean his stock, Arc is going to bust in and clean his clock and make sure this guy gets shut down for good. However, he sees that I already did it, and says that he owes me one for sure. He can rest a bit easier knowing the Pokemon will be taken care of no matter what. As for the guy, he won't do anything out in the open, but putting it shortly... Next time I'm around 7th Street, I won't be expecting to see him again. Arc gives me a Lucky Egg as a little thank you, and tells me to do what I will. He also says that if I ever get into the nightclub, I should hit him up for sure. While I'm still down in 7th Street, I stumble upon a facility with three scientists. The first scientist says that they can pull something off with the help of the Aether Foundation's data, but he can't help but feel nervous. One miscalculation could cost not only the whole project, but all of their lives, too. He feels like he should just double-check their measurements again. The second scientist says that they've been tremendously lucky so far, and if they can just secure a few more components, they should be able to create a perfect match. I then talk to the lead scientist, who appears to be talking to the subject in question, promising that they won't leave it in its state for long. She then turns to me, and sees that street trash blew in. She wants me to leave, so she battles me with Mimikyu, Tsareena, and Mismagius. After I beat Nadira's Pokemon, she still thinks I'm here to steal their research, and she won't allow it. What do you take me for, a thief? She says that she's worked too hard to bring this to life just to let it go again. She shows me the creature, and says that it's taken months to get this far and even now, all they have is the main body, control system and framework. She asks if I know what it is, and knowing DAMN WELL what the Aether Foundation is knowledgeable of, I would assume that is a Type: Null that they have in their possession. She thinks I'm still there to take it, but it's no use like it is now. She sees I could be a blessing to them, for they've had some setbacks in development, and their funding has really run dry. She'll do anything she can to finish him, but if they can't get the right parts, then they're at an impasse. All they need now are the organic components to bring him to life. She sees that I'm clearly a competent trainer, and asks if I would be willing to help her finish her baby. I say yes, and she considers herself lucky. She knew I would understand, and thinks that the tasks that she has for me will be perfectly in line with my skill set. First, she asks me to find her a Carvanha. Any will do, and she'll take it from there. Even hacked ones? Even if not, I can always breed one from Archer. Don't worry, it's completely safe... Right? I give her a Carvanha, and she can feel it coming to life already. She says that she'll handle it from here, but there is another Pokemon they need. Nadira needs Unfezant this time, either gender will do. I talk to the scientist walking out the door, and he says that even though he signed onto the project, he can't help but question the ethics of it. Especially when we bring the live material in, he wonders. I bring her back an Unfezant, and she says it's gorgeous, and how even more gorgeous it will become. Nadira says that I'm a treasure, and there is just one more thing she needs. This time, she needs a Luxray. I go and find her Luxray, and bring it back. She gets shivers from all the excitement, and says that she'll get right to work. She'll need time, but if I come back a bit later, then our precious will surely be ready. She also adds that this is much less painful than what most women go through, and maybe she's lucky after all. I can't help but notice both of the other scientists slowly leaving as I go and catch her the Pokemon for her. Maybe it IS dangerous... I feel even more bad for Nadira... She wasn't able to have her own child, so she had to make a creature and call IT her child... It's gonna come back and bite her in the ass, I'm sure. I come back a little while after, and see her by the machine's door, which is now open. Nadira welcomes me back, and says that she's missed me. Okay... So much for the outsider treatment from earlier... Now I'm legit concerned for your safety. Then again, what do I know? I'm just a soulless, blank, silent protagonist. She says that everything is finished now, and he's inside, looking perfect. She asks me if I want to meet him, and she can't wait. We head inside the machine, and it gives a roar. Nadira says that he's so beautiful, and says that we really did it, her and I. She states that everyone else disappeared, but I'm still here. No shit everyone left, this thing seems dangerous! And now she says that we have this perfect baby to call our own. She thinks I'll make a wonderful father, saying that we'll take good care of him together... ...Before getting viciously mauled by it, blood everywhere, music coming to a complete stop. YUP! THAT WAS WHAT I WAS WAITING FOR! THAT RIGHT THERE! She realizes that her "perfect baby" still had the memories from those Pokemon after all. I mean, those Pokemon were literally made by my own hands, I technically am the father of it. I should probably be the one murdered for making fake Pokemon solely for this purpose, BUT HEY... at least I'm not trading them to people or battling with them, right? ...Right? I mean, I'm only doing this JUST to make it a little faster for me. It's been AGES since I've done this playthrough, after all, and grinding is not how I want to start where I left off... ...Hate me if you want, I'm just gonna keep going. Shutting up now. She understands, but tries to defend by saying that what she did to them was... she only wanted to love him, because she could never have a child of her own, so... She tells me to please take good care of it... ...and then she dies. It then goes to attack me, and I send out Charles. It's probably a good thing I still have Dragon Rage on him, or I would fear trying to take out Type: Null. I whittle its health down to red, then throw a bunch of Luxury Balls at it because I'm rich as hell. I eventually catch it, and name him Goddard because I'm fucking Jimmy Neutron over here. With one solemn look at the facility, I leave in silence as I say my goodbye. You know, Nadira, one thing you might have not known was that you did create the perfect child. You created a Shiny Type: Null... One that I am sure will evolve into a god with many different forms... And I must find these memories for it to obtain. I will create new memories for it, and make it the Perfect Child it was meant to be. Thank you... Nadira. I head outside, and Archer, my good boss from the Aqua Gang. I talk to him, and he says that they haven't seen me around in a while. He was starting to get worried that something had happened to me. Even if I'm here now, a lot has been going on. He says that everything has changed, except 7th Street. But that just goes to show that this place isn't as safe as they thought it was. He informs that the Aqua Gang has been kept busy, but not with our usual method of business. From the beginning, the whole operation was just an underhanded way to fix the city. When the city started fixing itself, Archer had the gang get involved. However, somewhere between purses and picks, and mortars and bricks, he realized that even if they fix the city, nothing will fix them because they are a crime rate. The Aqua Gang is a pattern of habits that pull each other into backwards lifestyles with shallow justifications. And so, he's decided to disband the Aqua Gang. He knows that it's not simple, as studies show that recidivism among gang members is particularly high unless they have adequate alternative social and economic structures. In other words, nothing is going to change unless they all have somewhere else to go instead. For instance, if they had new jobs, which would cover both halves of their needs fairly cleanly. He's already talked about all of this with them, and they aren't taking it seriously. He'll continue to try to get through to them, but he has a task for me: They don't really have the motivation for normal work, but if I can find something that would interest each of them, that might change. He wants me to talk to everyone, figure out what kind of place they might want to work, and bring them an application from that place. It's not like they'll ask for an application though, so I will have to be direct about it by using it from my inventory. Then once that's done, just to come talk to him. I talk to Pierce first, and he doesn't like it one bit. He just wants to find a place that's quiet, to leave him in peace. I then talk to DeFacto, who completely ignores the job-seeking ideals Archer now has. However, he does add that a slightly more intellectual line of work would be a boon for him. Knowledge is the seat of personal growth, but aside from which downcast countenances are the most likely customers, there's little to be learned here. I then talk to Razzy, who is actually positive about getting a job. He wants to work at a place that is upbeat and nearby. He still lives with his parents, so the closer the better. I finally talk to Mannie, who doesn't know what to do. He's only good at doing what he's told, and he needs specific instructions. I know just the places! Pierce: Apophyll Academy DeFacto: Beryl Library (I mean, he's a pretty smart guy, right?) Razzy: Sweet Co. (Which replaced Yuryu's building) Mannie: Construction (Might have to do this one later) Archer (Because why not?): Silph Co. (Painfully obvious, might have to do this one later too) I first fly to Apophyll, and learn that Victoria's been doing great as Sensei. She was one of the first volunteers for the city's reconstruction project, and I hear that they're always accepting new students. I get an application for Pierce, then fly to the Beryl Ward. I head to the Abandoned Power Plant and find a scientist there. He's figuring out how to re appropriate this plant for the city restoration project. However, the back room seems to be locked. Which I unlocked ages ago. He's already called down to the Grand Hall, and nobody has the key. The plant belonged to the Yureyu company, so they would have the key, but they no longer exist. However, I show him the key, and he gives me the Zap Plate. I visit the library, and talk to the receptionist. She has applications on the desk. I take several, then talk to Gothitelle, who says I can take the Gothita that wants to see the world. She also asks if I remember what she said... "You will meet the void. It will embrace you. That much is inevitable. What happens after that, however... That, not even Arceus must know." Will I die at some point in the story? I then go ahead and grab a bunch of applications all over the city because why not. It'll make Adrienn happy. However, I find a scientist who is able to fix the corrupted Pokeball I found ages ago. He explains the process of Pokeballs, and says that the Pokemon can be corrupted as well if the ball is corrupted. The data corruption is already at 96%, and he says that a Magnet Powder will help save it. I give him the powder, and the data corruption is already at 98%. Then as we try opening it, the corruption is at 99%. However in just the nick of time, we save it. We save a Ralts that was inside. With less than 1% it could have survived. With no trainer, it is safe to say Ralts is mine now. I name him Justice, and leave, searching for more job applications. I fly to the Jasper Ward, and a woman lost her engagement ring. She threw it in the lake over a misunderstanding, but don't worry, I got this. I fly over to Apophyll and start surfing on Lips, who I named from Seaking for humor. I start surfing throughout Azurine Lake, and find a few caves where I find some neat items. I then keep surfing until I find some dive spots. Bingo, now I can really explore what's under Reborn! I dive underwater, and find out something shocking... Several buildings have been buried down here, and I find several rare items in them. I find keys to other houses down here, shards, relic artifacts, etc. I also find TM16 Light Screen in a separate dive spot. When I get to the next set of sunken houses, I find TM 44 Rest and move onto the next set of houses since I can't unlock anymore houses for now. The next set of houses I find are between the Peridot Ward and Apophyll, in Azurine Lake. I find a Pokemon in a drawer who is sick. I heal it with an antidote, and a Mudkip comes out! Since I already have one, I take it with me anyway. I even see it has two 31 IV stats! I explore deeper, and find more. I find a Splash Plate, and I eventually do find the diamond ring that was thrown to the lake! AND the Oval Charm! WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP THROWING GOOD SHIT LIKE THAT INTO THE LAKE?! I head back up since I found all the stuff I needed to find, including one more key for another spot on the island. I head back up, and make my way to the cave in the middle of Azurine Lake, Azurine Cave. As soon as I walk in, I start to get a chill. Realizing what I can do, I go and grab a Vanillite from the PC, and train it until it learns Blizzard. I have it use Blizzard, and it freezes all of the water, with the exception of the waterfall. However, I slide to the left and I find a mound with a TM and three Pyukumuku guarding it. I fight the one at the center, and... it's level 100. THIS PYUKUMUKU IS MINE! After a while (because it KEPT KILLING ITSELF IF I DIDN'T HAVE GENGAR AND A TAUNT USER WITH ME), I finally catch him, naming him Pyukumuk, King of the Pyukumuku. It is fitting, because he is a SHINY Pyukumuku that is level 100. I then grab TM40 Aerial Ace. I climb up the waterfall on Lips, and find a Razor Claw and an Icicle Plate as I climb the second waterfall. Freezing the water gives me access to a new cave, where I find the Alolaraichunium-Z, and an Audinite! I leave the cave, and surf to Azurine Island, where I find TM88 Sleep Talk, seeing as I missed it before and accidentally slaughter an Amoongus. (I thought it wasn't the only one!). As I surf between Apophyll and the Coral Ward, I also find the Fist Plate on one of the beaches. I eventually find my way to perhaps the last set of sunken civilization. I go key hunting, and find an Eviolite in one of the houses. I also find TM28 Leech Life in another. I even go back to one of the locations that was previously locked to find a Glalitite. I surf between the Coral Ward and Apophyll again, and actually find a dive spot I missed, where I find a house containing a Primarium-Z, and a field effect note for the Underwater Field! Last but not least, I find a Weakness Policy on the beach. With all of that said and done, I think it is time to fly back to the Jasper Ward. I fly back to the Jasper Ward, and she is shocked I found the diamond ring. She says I am a true savior, and says that she chanced upon something interesting... in which she considered doing something drastic in order to pay for a custom replacement. She gives me some "Classified Information" and says that at least she won't have to be responsible for it. Well it's a good thing you gave it to me... From the sounds of it, you were probably gonna do some things... I mean, "Don't tell anyone?" I know for a FACT that Kinsoku Jikou is a reference to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya! ...What? I saw the coding, ya sneaky dogs... I'm so proud... I know EXACTLY what to do with it... I stroll through the Peridot Ward, and find a suspicious house. I find a bookcase blocking a doorway, and I THINK it has to do with the Beryl Wall. So I head to the Beryl Wall down in 7th Street, and a passageway is opened up. I head through it, and I'm back in the house. However, while exploring the Beryl Wall, I also find a 'Rare Candy.' Remembering that somebody down there wanted their fix, I head over there and give it to the guy, but then all of a sudden, my candy is stolen! I find him in the corner of 7th Street, and battle him for it. I get it back, and give it to the rightful customer, who gives me a SHINY Piplup! I name him Pierce, and head back to Peridot from the secret passage. I stroll some more when all of a sudden I find two men in the shady looking building I found the two Meteor grunts in when they were stealing the baby Pokemon. I knew I should have taken Igglybuff instead... The officer stops me, and states that this is a private space, asking how I got here. The man behind him says that the door was left unlocked, telling him to be more careful in the future too. The officer says that he'll just deal with me. He searches me, and finds the confidential information I was previously given. He assumes I was the thief, and says that it was a good thing the door was open. The mysterious detective sees that one mistake solves another, and the officer tries to arrest me on the charge of theft of confidential documents. After battling me, I end up winning but not after a loss, since I didn't want to go ALL the way back to Azurine Cave where I last saved. After I beat him, the detective commends Officer Seer for acting without hesitation. However, he must also learn to fully understand a situation before rushing into it. He walks over to me and tells me to pardon his junior's hastiness. He reveals that they are with the International Police. He is about to introduce himself, but then just goes by his code name, Looker. He says that they've come to Reborn after hearing about a certain organization that might be harming Pokemon. His partner is still in training, so they might not be much help in the end. Seer apologizes, but Looker says that if he thinks like a detective, then there will be no need for apologies. He goes onto business, but not before asking me for my name. I tell him my name, and then tell them how I came about the confidential information. He is intrigued, and Seer asks if they should believe something like that. Looker commends him for being alert on any red herrings, but does not believe I am lying, as I remind him of many other trainers he's met. He believes I can be trusted, as I am returning the information. He sees that it's still sealed, and sees there is nothing to worry about. He thanks me for my assistance, and Seer says that it was his responsibility for losing the information. He rewards me with a Pink Pearl, and during his search for the files, he found that. He's not sure if it is valuable, but he hopes it can serve as his apology. Looks like a Spoink's pearl... I'll probably just give it to its owner. Looker sees that it's all settled, and they must head back to work. There is also much to be learned, so progress may be slow. He says that it was a pleasure to meet me, but they must bid farewell and that maybe we will see each other again. They leave, and I pick up the item in there, which is a Mind Plate! I fly over to the Coral Ward and head to a warehouse, where I find a girl with a Spoink. She says that her Spoink lost its pearl, and without their pearls, Spoinks usually get really, really tired. I feel so bad for this Pokemon... If it stops bouncing, too, it dies. She gave it a crystal ball to replace the pearl for a while until they find it, which to her surprise, I have it. We give it to Spoink, and it goes back to normal. She gives me the crystal ball, and I leave. I learn that one of the lighthouses is inaccessible, and the other has a sealed door. Nothing is impossible, as I somehow dive behind the inaccessible lighthouse, and find a way in. I climb to the top, and I get a key to the other one and an Electrizer. I unlock the door to the other house, and dive. I find a Popplio being attacked by a Huntail and a Gorebyss. I battle them, and Popplio wants to join me, which I accept. I fly over to the Jasper Ward, and I get stopped by two "guardians" as I try entering a building. They jump down from the building and say that a great fortune was stolen from there, so they're here to protect the place from future harm. They battle me, and one of them looks like they're floating. I beat them after two attempts (I didn't want to lose the Popplio!) They were hoping to guarantee themselves a cut of the reward for finding whoever stole the fortune. They realize that the fortune the old broad spoke of probably wasn't worth that much anyway. They leave, and I head inside. I go in one of the rooms, and I find TM51 Steel Wing. I then head upstairs, and find a woman who is surprised at the unexpected visitor. She means no disrespect, but she is at a loss. She asks if we met, and sees that we have not. She introduces herself as the Miracle Eye Medium, Miss Direction. She says that where other people are born with the ability to know things that happened in the past, she is born with the ability to know things that will happen in the future. But for those of them who can see the future, the past and present are a mystery. However, she appears to be in a crisis. Her fortune has gone missing, and without it, she cannot see the future, nor the past. Until she gets it back, she is stuck in the present. However, she knows I have the Crystal Ball she seeks, and so I give it to her. With it, she feels like herself again, as it is the fortune she sought. I tell her of the two "guardians", and she reveals they were nothing but goons trying to get her treasure. She says she will give them a warm welcome, and she gives me an "R Key". She says that if I need a reading, I can always come to her. As thanks for my help, it will come at no cost. However, I may already not like the outcome. Curious, I ask her for my fortune. She hopes that what she sees is different this time, as it sometimes is. However, it is not. What she sees in my future... is hard for her to understand. "It is a future where you do not exist. It is a future where there were never any traces of me existing. This is strange, because you are the only one I will ever see such a thing for. But let me tell you about this world you are not in. During a time that this ward is still garnished with a deadly flora, a boy with a beaded tooth necklace steps forward to destroy the chaos. He earns friends to fight alongside him. A man with spiked bracelets... Another with azure hair... A girl blessed with a sleeping star... And a taciturn woman in a black and red suit. Together they cut the tainted roots away from this city, purge poison from the lake, and chase fire from the mountain peaks. And then... The city streets crack, spiked bracelets splinter in the fissure below. Shining armor strikes. Azure hair is re-dyed red. An enemy of his own blood stands before him, and beaded hope breaks apart upon the tattered stones of a city forced to live up to its name once again. The sleeping star invokes a wish. From there, the suited girl disappears. And that future follows shortly after." "...From looking through your time, that is all I can see. I hope that you come to understand it better than I will." What... the... FUCK. FERN is the hero of Reborn if I didn't exist? And although it is a tragic future, he actually is a hero. Maybe if I didn't exist, the world would be better off... OF COURSE IT WOULDN'T, DIDN'T YOU ALL HEAR THIS WOMAN?! EVERYBODY FUCKING DIES. If there is one thing I do feel, is that I feel even more sad for Fern. If we weren't around, he actually could help change Reborn in a good way rather than side with Team Meteor. And the people who are with him? Let me guess... Arc, spiked bracelets. Cal, blue/red hair. Anna, girl with sleeping star. And black and red suit woman? I don't really think it's Charlotte. Maybe it's the ringmaster from Agate? Doubtful. Maybe its someone we've never seen before? What I got from this is that these five heroes went on to do what WE do. Stopping the PULSES, saving Reborn, but then something went wrong. Something went wrong to the point where Arc dies, Cal betrays and joins Team Meteor with Blake (Or at least that's what I got out of that), and Fern is defeated. Anna makes a wish on Jirachi, and the mystery woman disappears before everything else does. Strange, but I feel like this sort of thing might either happen in an alternate dimension, or in our own future. And I was actually thinking this was the past, and we were a second chance to save Reborn or something, who knows for sure. With that said, I leave in hopes of finding the owner of the R key. I head to the Peridot Ward and see that Blacksteam Factory has become a shelter now. While I'm there, I actually find a familiar face... Randall! He's glad I made it out of that creepy cult place, he escaped too. He fell back on some habits, but here he is, doing better than ever. He says that this place is a blessing compared to Arceus. The staff was nice, and he got to collect all sorts of books. He's got books back home, too. He wants to actually go back home, but he lost his house key. Which I have. The ID people thought he was bamboozling them, and fate doesn't want him home. But that's also why he picked up Klefki, who is a magnet for lost keys. He checks every now and then, but then he sees the key on me. He says I'm a better Klefki than Klefki is, which means he can now go home. He says that Klefki might get bored now since he's not traveling around anymore, and says I might get more use of her. I name her Boo Boo Keys, and she is SHINY! Level 60, and she is holding a key from the Sanctum! After that, I talk to the old main on the third floor, and he explains how Blacksteam changed into a shelter. I then leave for Chrysolia. Since we are on the theme of water for this chapter, it seems appropriate that I fly to Tanzan Cove. I find the fisherman there who gave me the Old Rod from way back when, and he says that he's traveled far and wide until he found the perfect place to fish. There's nobody home, so he'd make himself comfortable for a while until they get back. Good luck with the big, gaping hole, buddy. I dive in the water, and I see bodies. I see five of them, as Simon told me in the past, and they each have an ID... Winter Green... or Billiard Irving Grossbury (Make up your mind, kid!) Chad Fournier... Minta Alkaev... Michaela Hermann... (Who also gives me a Spooky Plate from her corpse...) I then find Tara's body, but her ID is missing. I head back up to talk to the fisherman, and he is shocked that I'm looking for bodies. He sternly tells me that he's not going to ask questions no matter what he fishes up, so I don't need to kill him off as a witness or anything. He knows I didn't kill anyone either, and he says he'll cooperate. He says that there are a bunch of Whiscash down in the lake, and one of them was pulling something around under the surface. He didn't think of it much at the time, but whatever I am looking for might have been grabbed by one of the Whiscash, meaning that it must have eaten the evidence I'm looking for. He says it's not going to be a stroll in the lake to recover it. He gives me a Super Rod, saying that if I fish one of them up, I should bring it to him, and he'll do the dirty work of searching for me. He warns me that there are a LOT of Whiscash in the lake, so there is no guarantee we will even find it. I go and catch a Whiscash, and bring it to him. Unfortunately, it wasn't the one. However, I find one that actually has it, and he gives me Tara's ID Tag. He's glad he could help me out, and he asks if I'll let him live. I mean, I wasn't going to kill you, so yeah? I fly back to the Peridot Ward, and talk to Simon. He just wants to forget everything, but then I flash the ID Card, and he's shocked I was actually able to retrieve it. He reads "Tara Copperman", and he pauses. He says that's his last name, and says he has much to reconsider. He thanks me for being as good of a friend to him as I was an adversary. He's sure it wasn't easy to get this, considering the circumstances, so he gives me TM06 Toxic in return. He says it was being passed around the other Meteors as he left, but he imagines I'll get more use out of it now. He then says that if it's all the same to me, he's going to go think about his life choices. He leaves, and off I go. I know what I can do before I do anything else! Although I always kept thinking that she already changed over the course of the episodes, buuuuut I realize that those are all the same. Kinda like Charlotte, Laura, and Saphira's sprites and Heather (I think)? Because of this new change, I gotta ask: Will other characters get the same treatment as we go into these last two episodes?

You are completely accurate on everything you just said. Times are changing, and so is the community. As people like us are getting older, there's not a lot of time to do anything. Remember when I said I was gonna play Pokemon again? I find it really, really, really hard to these days. Sure, Pokemon is one of the things I think about on an everyday basis, but when there's so much to do, there's not a lot of time to actually sit down and do something productive with it, whether it's playing the games, making your own, etc. Both school and work have been beating me down, beating me down, never letting up, to the point where if I even try to do anything Pokemon related, I just lose all motivation and just play something else. I keep thinking to myself, "Yeah, I'll make my game", or "Yeah, I'll sit down and beat Ultra Moon and the rest of the games I own", or "Yeah, I'll make that playthrough of Reborn and Rejuv", but then I just don't. Like you, I just don't have any motivation anymore. Gen VIII is going to have to be really great if I want to be motivated again, but I just cannot see how that will be possible when everything is going to be changed, depending on how it is going to be. I am worried for not only the community we have here, but for the Pokemon Community as a whole. The demographic is changing, the game is changing (Seriously, there is just too much of Gen VII in Reborn now. 7.7/10) Everything is changing, and I feel like if it keeps up that way, then Pokemon as we know it will never be the same as it once was. Now I might get a little sentimental when I say this (And perhaps a suck-up, but who cares?), but I just want to say that you are one of the most inspiring, passionate, and greatest people that I have ever met in Reborn. I am just so glad to have the chance to work with you, from the old days of Revolution to Reborn Hardcore. Because of you, I got to learn quite a bit of new information about RPG Maker XP, what it takes to make a good story (Although I'm still working on how I can make a good story for my game without going overboard), and because of that, I'll be able to take it all to heart. You actually care about RPGs like Pokemon, and its community (Even though the community is declining). Reborn might not be the same as it was years ago, but I just want you to know that you made a legacy. You made a legacy that is just so... Hardcore, in a sense. Even if there's never going to be a fully-fledged hard mode for Reborn (Tried twice, might I add), that legacy is going to be around for quite a long time. Perhaps even inspired others to try and fulfill that legacy, too... In all seriousness though, take all the time you need and rest easy. You have done a great job, and when you do find that motivation, we'll all be here for you. Whether Reborn makes it to the end, or it gets CnD'd, just know that it's been one wild, crazy, hell of a ride.
