  • Short Rejuvenation Update! Q/A Style!

    It's been a while since my last post, so I decided that I'd give a little update and talk about a few things! In the format of a Q/A!

     

    What's going on with Rejuvenation right now? It's been almost 2 years!!

     

       - We are currently doing internal testing as of right now! There's still one segment of the game that needs a bit of work from me,

    but after so long, v13's main story and early-mid game are being tested and things are going smoothly!! Lots of things to patch up,

    but smoothly nonetheless! We may... actually release something soon(tm)??? Soon.

     

    Will there be Game-z support? 

     

       -Yes! Thanks to @andracass (Who is a new member on the team, btw!), Rejuvenation will have official MK support. Which means

    less lag and better performance! We will still be supporting the regular game.exe, though. Just in case your PC won't be able to

    handle the power that is MK. Unfortunate for you, though. 

     

    Okay, well there's Game-z support. Cool. But what about my MAC? She's dying without content!

     

       - I am happy to say that there will be a MAC version on release. No more stupid Wine emulators 😡.

    Also it'll run at incredible speeds! No lag! Zoom! Fast! Keep going! Oops we crashed.

    Except it shouldn't crash. Anyway.

    What Crests were chosen from the suggestion thread? My Giratina Crest that gave an omni boost was so good...

     

       -I've gotten this question quite a bit and that will remain Top Secret. However, like I said in the thread, if your crest suggestion wasn't implemented, that doesn't mean it wont be.

    Adding in hundreds of crests in one release is overwhelming for the devs and the player. We'll be trickling in new crests with each new version. So please be patient :).

     

    Will my old save files work with the new update? Pls help.

     

       -Yes, however there have been a substantial amount of changes/tweaks to the world itself. Some places will not be safe to load up in! I will make a list beforehand. A whole entire post dedicated to this. If I see "LOADED UP IN XXXXX AND GAME CRASH PLS HELP" I will come to your house and delete your save and quite possibly your entire life. Don't say I won't.

     

    Can I join the Beta Test? Please...?

     

       -Unfortunately, no. We no longer have public beta testing periods anymore. Due to problems with leaks and such in the past, all Betas from here on out will be entirely closed.

    Is Linux... also hoping to be supported?

    At least - if there is no other option -  as clean code for self-compilation. 😜

    i'd say it's unlikely, but that's up to joiplay. we don't really have anything to do with that, here.

    Is there a way to get a recap of the story in between versions? It's been a while and I've forgotten quite a bit of the story, or at the very least some how a way to save my team and use it on another save file?

    Every time they've given or hinted at a time frame during this version's development they weren't able to deliver.  As a result of this I believe they are being more careful on choosing when to announce a concrete release date.

    Right now the best you're going to get is going to:

    and keeping tabs on the testing phase percentage every few days or so.

    They are aware that this version has taken longer than others, they're just asking for a little more patience as they make sure to tackle as many bugs as they can find before releasing.  Maybe they'll go into more detail on why it took so long closer to release, but for now just wait a little longer.  We're almost at the finish line!

    Yeah man i agree...we will just have to wait for a bit longer....super stocked for the release

    status bar shows 100% complete . and now  when the testing phase will begin [ still 0%] . wiil v13 be released by the end of this month         [ June 2021] .  plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

    Don't know how long testing usually takes, but if i had to guess: probanly not. Anything could go wrong, like a gamebreaking bug that is hard to fix. Something like that would mean an even later release. Better to let them do what they do best while giving them time.

    I dont think there should be a big bug considering the game has been under development for 2 years

    dyna/gmax will not be in the game

    however the new gmax forms will be implemeted as new mega evos

     

    also we'll get the mega ring in v13

    what did you mean by new megas [ megas other than from the anime] or the orginal megas

    So the Pokemon in Sword & Shield that got G-Max forms will be treated as Megas. For example, Machamp has a G-Max form. It will be a Mega in Rejuvenation.

    Nobody's being mean lol. We're all memeing. The game will come out when it comes out, and this is just a massive chain of ironic "GIVE US V13 YOU GAME DEVELOPERS" comments

    Because for the devs, I imagine getting asked "When is the game/patch/etc. coming out?" by who knows how many people starts to get real old real quick.

    For those who haven't lost their patience yet, great!  They know that the devs will announce something when they have something to announce.
    For those who have already lost their patience, fair enough, but try not to harp on the devs for an update.  Even if it's meant in jest, my guess is the devs aren't laughing when it gets to the point of becoming annoying.  All of us are just as eager to hear something from them as the next person.

    I'm not trying to say you shouldn't remind people not to ask for the release date, just don't be so toxic about it. Every time it happens, zumi or somebody else says a quick quip to get them to shut up about it (the good way to do it) and then 2-3 self-proclaimed rebornevo protectors come out and write their paragraphs of heroism. Basically that just means someone new to the site is getting bullied into never posting here again. And frankly? Not a vibe. Cease this at once.

    i don't think this is going to bully people off the site.

    in fact, i don't think this is bullying in this first place.

    i, personally, appreciate when people are chill. motivation is a little hard to come by these days, and believe it or not the additional amount of constant pressure does add up.

    we are asking that people please hold tight. i had to spend an unexpected additional 10 hours cranking out a mac version last weekend. 

    we don't want to give you a game made out of duct tape and glue, and the extensive amount of changes that have been made require a lot more testing. i think it will be worth the wait. please wait for it. in waiting for it, please do not constantly remind us that you're waiting for it. believe us, we know.

    To all the devs, I know your under a fair bit of stress and are a bit annoyed that people keep asking about the game, I'm excited don't get me wrong, but I am waiting patiently, well as much as I can, I'm rambling i know but i just want to say, thank you, every little bit i hear from you makes me genuinely smile and all the more it excites me more. can't wait for more news!

    I sincerely hope you guys aren't time-crunching too hard. It's not worth to speed things up at the cost of your own health, even with thousands of fans eagerly waiting.

    I'm going to give you the benefit of a doubt and assume you've read my first response on this page when Hassan asked before.
    In which case point out to me where in my posts, both that one and the one you quoted, where I am being 'toxic' in my responses and I'll gladly take it under advisement.  I can only assume you think one of mine were since my post is the one you quoted, followed by ending yours with demanding I "Cease this at once." 
    In my first response, not only did I explain rationally why they haven't given a release date, but I pointed them in the right direction to at least keep up with the current progress as well as some encouragement.  In my second I answered your question (that you apparently already knew the answer to) I again addressed those that have patience and even those who have already lost theirs and explained why spamming the same question isn't very endearing.
    If you're referring to my face palm pic, then fair enough.  But even if we include that your post comes off way more confrontational or 'toxic' than any of mine did.

    But I digress, this next part is for the developers; if you feel I've been disruptive at all I'll take my forum warning point and offer my apologies.
