Just got it up and running today, using the latest patreon build of Joiplay. Some loading time, but music, battles, cutscenes and sfx all work smoothly for me. This is not a joke, a hoax or a scam. I'm serious. Reborn is now fully playable on android devices. On monday, the patreon links will go public, but I'll post the links to the MEGA folders here. 30some megabytes in total, two apks, and no internet needed when setting up. Pokemon Reborn fully working on Android.. Just a random heads up to anyone interested. Pokemon fangames are now playable on android with the latest patreon build of Joiplay. App and RPG Maker plugin are needed. Both can be downloaded as apks from the Joiplay patreon and installed. About 30 mbs for both combined. Does not require internet. Pokemon Reborn fully working, tested about seven hours so far with a single bug and minor lag on my Essential PH-1. Pokemon Metal working without problems. Pokemon Island has minor bugs. Pokemon Uranium working with bugs that will be fixed in next update. Should be a week or so. Do note that how well the game works depends on your phones RAM and processor. A common bug is the tiles not loading if your phone's processor is too low-end. I have a mid-end phone, with 2.5GBs RAM and a Snapdragon 835 processor and it works with only very, very minor lag. Save files can be sideloaded in from the PC version to continue playing on the go. Just copy the Game.rxdata from the Reborn PC folder to the one in your android storage. Instructions (links below): - Download and install both apks. One is the actual Joiplay app, the other is the RPGMaker plugin. - Open the Joiplay app. - Click the Add Game icon. - Enter the name, then navigate to the unzipped Reborn folder on your phone and select the .exe. - Click the Add button. Click on Reborn's icon and play. Button on the top left drops down the keys, can be customized. Some notes about the game and potential support before playing (Moderator edit): - Please make sure you extract the zip file before attempting to play the game (just like on Desktop versions you won't be able to play the game unless the folder is extracted from the zip file). - If Reborn glass version 18.4.1 does not work on your mobile when using Joiplay then revert to version 18.2 as 18.2 is more stable on mobile devices (links available on the Reborn download page). - Online Play does not work on mobile as of e18 (Glass edition only allows online play on Windows Desktop versions). - Reborn moderators and staff may be unable to answer questions regarding certain bugs that may only appear when playing Reborn on Joiplay or any issues with Joiplay itself. In this instance, please seek help on the Joiplay discord (link available on Joiplay's website) Minor issues: - Crashes if you chose Quit Game. - Some battle animation lag depending on phone and processor, can be fixed by using Fast Forward. I've downloaded both APK's, and the game itself, but the app says that this game isn't supported, you had this issue in testing before? If so, how can i solve it? When the app opens the downloads carpet, it only shows the Game.exe file, without the Reborn carpet, may this be an issue? I placed Reborn's full folder on my phone (not SD card), opened Joiplay, the went to Reborn's folder, added the Exe, put in the version as 18.2, and booted it up. Gastronely Posted March 29, 2020 Share Posted March 29, 2020 (edited) Well, i had two problems/methods. The first one happened when i added the game following your steps. I clicked the "+" button, then added the name and the version, and i went to the direct storage in the settings, and selected the Game.exe file from the zip folder, and then the add button wasn't working. The second one occurred when i loaded the game directly from the downloads section, and when i selected it, the app crashed. I tried testing the app with a replay from showdown, an HTML file, and it played perfectly. As i said, the reborn file is compressed, may that be an issue? PD: the text in the second screenshot says that "Joiplay keeps crashing", btw (the picture isn't uploaded, for some reason) PD2: i changed the name of the game in the first picture, but in the first time it said something like: "reborn18.2.zip reborn18.2" Edited March 29, 2020 by Gastronely Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
lcie nimbus Posted March 29, 2020 Author Share Posted March 29, 2020 Yes, the game needs to be unzipped and placed in storage for it to work. Loading from a zip file doesn't work. The pic from.your screenshot is exactly as I have it. Try placing the game in the main storage, not the downloads folder. Might help. What are your phone's spec? I just installed this Android version, and I've encountered a graphic bug at the very beginning of the game : the first pkmn center, in Opal Ward, won't show. The NPCs are all there, the story goes on normally, but the room itself doesnt display (no floor / walls / furnitures). [screenshot : https://ibb.co/YNvxsG0] Same problem on the upper floor : no way to see the starter balls, even if i can pick them. -Otherwise the outside graphics work properly : no problem to see the wards, and almost no lag -I tried with all types of screen sizes (since full size, on computer, used to cause bugs in the caves), with or without borders -I put the files on the root of the phone So I wanted to report this, and know eventually if there was a way to fix it. Thanks ! [Edit : in fact, the most building's inside won't show (still some would). It's just a black screen with music playing and then a white popup box with: Script 'BitmapCache' line 318: SDLError occured Error loading image ": Unsupported image format. How fix? lcie nimbus Posted April 2, 2020 Author Share Posted April 2, 2020 You can reset the controls inside Reborn's control menu. Auto-run and Fast forward have their own dedicated keys in Reborn. But I download the joy play all install it. Then I download the other but it ends up saying not installed. But I open the joy play and go into setting and it has the Pokemon essentials plugin so I believe it worked. Can anyone help me? Coloqué la carpeta completa de Reborn en mi teléfono (no la tarjeta SD), abrí Joiplay, fui a la carpeta de Reborn, agregué el Exe, puse la versión como 18.2 y la arranqué. ¿Puedes subir pantallas del problema?
