My Awesome Pokemon Adventure

Riding on top of a running Stantler was a lot faster to get back to Agate Circus than it ever would have taken if it was just me alone running back. I was glad I had helped this Pokemon back then. It’s helped me a lot in the short time we have been acquainted with each other. When I got back to Agate Circus, I rushed right into the Big Top with Stantler. I know outside Pokemon weren’t really allowed back here but this was for a reason. I found Samson and ran up to him.

 

Samson: Yo Matt and Rudie right?

Matthew: Yea but-

Samson: How’s your little rescue operation going?

Matthew: Rescue operation? What-

Samson: Listen, I ain’t gonna lie. I’m a little anxious for Agate City to be reopened. This whole half circus and half shelter thing is for the birds. Uhh, no offense to Ciel.

Matthew: That sucks but I have to-

Ciel: -walks into the back- Samson, what brutish slander are you muttering about me now? Ohh. And hi Matthew and Rudie. We don’t really allow outside Pokemon back here buuut we can make an exception for you.

 

Matthew: Thanks but I seriously need to-

Samson: Just telling Matthew about the thong that you’re apparently wearing.

Ciel: Right. We’re-

Matthew: For fuck sake! Could you 2 let me say what I have to say?!

 

The 2 of them looked at me in disbelief. To be honest, I was kind of shocked with myself that I told those 2 to shut up but I needed to tell them about Terra. So their possible hurt feelings could wait until after I delivered the news.

 

Ciel: I’m… I…

Samson: Was not expecting that but sure. Say what you need to say.

Matthew: It’s about Terra.

Ciel: Oh yes. I see that battle pass you have there. She’s not here unfortunately.

Matthew: Oh my-

Samson: It’s weird though. She;s been disappearing for days at a time for a while now.

Matthew: Yes yes! I know!

Ciel: But the question that remains is just to where has she been vanishing to.

Matthew: You guys are just gonna keep talking aren’t you?

Ciel: Not a lot of options and we can safely rule out Agate and beyond thanks to the sleeping spell.

Samson: Actually wait. Hold on. Matt, didn’t Terra find you and that other guy in Agate?

Matthew: Yea. Why?

Samson: She shouldn’t have been able to stay awake if she was in there.

 

I thought about it for a moment. I just thought that she was so psychotically crazy, that she was able to just stay awake from the whole thing. But now that I knew the truth about her, I was mad at myself for not getting that sooner. But of course, Ciel believed what I believed before. The 2 continued to bicker back and forth until I couldn’t take it anymore.

 

Matthew: Alright. Seriously. Both of you shut up. Terra is a member of Team Meteor.

Ciel: I’m sorry. What?

Matthew: It’s true. Some Meteor people were up in Ametrine and when me and some of my friends got done trouncing them, 1 of them informed me of Terra’s involvement in their affairs.

Samson: How would he-

Matthew: He used to be with them but then split up because it wasn’t right.

Ciel: Terra? Being in Team Meteor? Matthew, I’m sorry but you must be mistaken. I mean her? In that team? They’d have to be nuts to do a thing like that.

Samson: Well… it doesn’t seem that impossible. For instance-

Terra: HUNNIEZ, I’M HOME! LIKE I WAS IN ALABAMA!~

 

Terra came spinning into the room and kissed Ciel on the lips. It was an awkward moment for everyone that wasn’t her.

 

Terra: WHAT ARE Y’ALL PEEPZ TALKINZ ABOOTY?!

Samson: Just discussing of the possibility of you being a member of Team Meteor.

Terra: U wot mate?… LEWL THAT’S THE BEST THING I’VE HEARD ALL OF THIRTY SECONDS!

Ciel: So it’s not true right?

Terra: RAWWWR!!!! uhh what wuz we talking about again? Lol.

Ciel: You being a Team Meteor member. It’s not true right?

Terra: Well duhhhhhh. Course I am bitchez.

 

The 3 of us walked over to Terra and were kind of amazed she would just admit something like that but then again, this was Terra we were talking about.

 

She seemed to be more happy about the fact that we were “checking her out.” She started to sing a song about her humps. When asked why she joined, she gave some kind of story that was literally right out of a comic book.

 

Terra: Aww bitchtits. I been found out. But das ok cus they’ll NEVER find me here!

Matthew: Uhh… What are you talking about?

Samson: What exactly are you doing?

Terra: Asll right. Les do dis. MEGA TERRA, JACK OFF! EXECUTE!

 

Terra pressed some buttons on her computer and was gone after some flashes of lights stopped going off. We were all stunned at what we just witnessed. Although I couldn’t tell if we were stunned at her being teleported somewhere else or that she had the brain power to actually construct something to transport her somewhere else.

 

Matthew: Uhh… I think I speak for everyone when I say THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!

Samson: Please tell me she didn’t just escape into that big ass computer.

Ciel: Ok. She didn’t escape through that computer.

Samson: Thank you. -goes over to the computer and checks a few things out on there- Looks like it’s waiting for a “Player 2.”

 

Matthew: I’m gonna go in.

Samson: I was gonna suggest that anyways. No way in hell I’d go follow her in… there… Wherever “there” is.

Matthew: Wait… Hold on. I think I’m gonna talk to Ame 1st. Something tells me I’m gonna be battling her and I wanna know as much stuff as possible before that happens.

Samson: Go for it man.

 

I went over to the monitor they had in the Big Top and pressed the button. Ame’s face popped up but she wasn’t smiling like she usually was.

 

Matthew: Hey Ame. Are you ok?

Ame: I heard from Cal about what’s going on?

Matthew: So then you know about Terra being with Team Meteor?

Ame: Yea. I never imagined her being with them. But I suppose on a bright side, I never liked her much. So whatever.

Matthew: I suppose 1 could look at it like that. Anyways, she just somehow transported herself into the computer and something tells me I’m gonna have to battle her in it.

Ame: Say no more. I’ll patch into her computer and give you the info on the field she’ll be battling on.

 

Ame started clicking away on her keyboard trying to find any information on what field the battle would be on. But when she found it, she seemed puzzled by it.

 

Matthew: What is it?

Ame: The results are… strange. It looks like the computer environment is set up to simulate an old video game.

Matthew: An old video game?

Ame: Yes. In this game, attacks are physical or special based on what type they are.

Matthew: That’s so… odd.

Ame: Plus the Special Attack and Special Defense stats are treated as a single value. It looks like it works off of whichever stat is higher. And the last thing I can find about the field is that the Dark, Steel and Fairy types seem to have been erased.

Matthew: That’s… insane.

Ame: But it sounds familiar right?

Matthew: For some reason, yes.

Ame: Well keep those in mind when you’re in there. I know you can do what’s necessary.

Matthew: Alright. Well thanks for the info Ame and-

Ame: Hold on! There’s something else.

Matthew: I thought you already told me the last thing about the field?

Ame: I did but this has to do with a program she has running on her computer. Apparently, it’s some kind of singing programmer and whoever is in there will have to sing aloud a song that comes to mind connected to how they feel at that current moment.

Matthew: I… Are you serious?

Ame: Yes. It won’t happen all the time but you will do it a couple of times while you’re in there.

Matthew: Alright. I guess I’m gonna have to get my vocal cords in shape then huh?

Ame: I guess so. Anyways, good luck with all of that!

 

The monitor screen turned black. I looked down and then back up to the giant computer. I was going to have to sing whatever comes to mind connected to how I’m feeling at the moment? Why in the world would Terra include a program like that? I didn’t have time to think about that though. I walked up to Samson.

 

Samson: So… singing huh?

Matthew: Apparently. This is so weird.

Ciel: Do be careful Matthew. We’ll watch everything from here while you’re in there.

Matthew: Ohh great. I’m gonna have an audience. Great.

Samson: It could be worse. You could be prancing around in a thong.

Matthew: I’m concerned at why that would be the 1st thing to pop into your mind.

Samson: Yea. Me too… Alright. Stand still. All I should need to do is this and…

Matthew: Wait! Come over here Rudie!

 

Stantler came close to me. I then had Samson hit the button. The lights started to flash again but when they stopped, Stantler and I were somewhere completely different.

 

We could see someone up ahead but they looked really different. Really pixelated too. When I tried to walk up passed him, he stopped me and asked to see the badge for Julia’s Gym. I slowly pulled out the Badge and showed it to him and he allowed me to continue through. The same thing happened 3 more times when I went to the next area. But as the 4th person was telling me to go on through, Terra came from out of nowhere and tried crushing me under her giant mallet. Luckily, I was able to jump back in time to avoid the hit.

 

When she lifted up her hammer though, the ground looked weird. As if some kind of error happened, the ground, or in this case I suppose tiles, looked like random things.

 

Terra: Aww boobiecakes. I missed.

Matthew: Now you’re trying to murder me Terra? Every time I see you, you keep surprising me Terra.

Terra: HAHAHAHAHA RAWWWWRRRRRRR!!!!!!! Hashtag wut, hashtag ever. IMMA POUND YOU NEXT TIME AND IT’S GONNA BE HARD!

Matthew: Don’t you dare do a-

Terra: Winky. Face.

Matthew: Ok… Not what I was expecting but it still counts! You’re so annoying!

Terra: RAWR!!!!

 

Terra smashed up some more of the tiles of the place. It looked more messed up than ever. If this did act like a regular video game, then I might not be able to proceed through.

 

Terra: Heh. YOU’LL NEVER CATCH ME NOW SUCKA! PHYSICS, AWAYYYYYY!!!!!

 

With 1 big mighty hit to the ground with her giant mallet, Terra was propelled to the air and disappeared. I could get to, what looked to be, water. I walked through the mess that Terra made and found a ladder going down. When I reached the bottom, I was in a cave. As I explored through it, people kept battling but what they said before was making no sense. It was as if there were lots of Terras around but with different bodies and faces. While I was trying to find a way out of the cave, I was wondering when the song aspect of the program she was running in this would happen. I found a way to get out of the cave but when I got to the next place, I was shocked. It looked like the Grand Hall but all in pixels.

 

But as I looked at the place, I started to hear music. I didn’t know where it was coming from but I could hear it. And then I started singing.

 

 

 

If anyone were to here me singing this, it would sound like a rock version of a break up love song and at 1st, I thought that’s what this was. But then I thought about it. It did suck that Laura broke up with me. But… I wasn’t all that sad about it. At 1st I was but then all of this crazy stuff started to happen. Now, I was pretty much alright with it. So what was I really singing this song for? It was because I didn’t know if everything I was doing to try to help Reborn was actually doing anything. I did love my adventure here but is my involvement really helping or would it all have been better without me? I mean there were multiple deaths. Corey, Kiki, Eclipse and many of innocent people. I guess deep down inside me, I was feeling like this. It was weird. Soon, I was finished singing the song. I felt weird. Not because of singing but because I felt like that and I didn’t even know. I tried getting over it by battling the “trainers” in the area but now I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I finally reached to the next area and it weirdly represented Team Rocket’s hideout in the Game Corner in Celadon City. I remember watching the news when they explored this place. Why Team Rocket put spinning tiles on the floor, I have no idea. After getting through that place, I landed in Lavender Town. This place felt weird even in pixelated form so I tried to get to the next are as soon as possible. This place was familiar. It was another pixelated place I visited here in the Reborn Region. Byxbysion Wasteland.

 

Weirdly enough, I would prefer this over the real 1 because this 1 didn’t seem to have all that toxic good all over the place. When I got to the next area, I had no idea where I was. I aimlessly looked for a way to get to another place. I walked upstairs and found a diary of some sort on a table. I remember what happened last time I read a diary. But then again, I technically wasn’t even in the real world anymore. I was inside a computer. I decided to read it.

 

Matthew: “hee hee! This is fun! i can see everything from here! and i can make everybody play with me! it’s all thanks to baby arceus!” Wait a minute. She’s religious too? Great. We got a psychotic version of El. Ugh. “i’m going to make sure i repay him by setting him free! then we can all live in the new world together and have lots of fun forever and ever!” This is the most messed up thing I’ve read. Only because it’s Terra saying all of this. I gotta find her and quick.

 

I walked back downstairs and continued to look for another way to anywhere else. After searching for a while, I finally found a way out but when I came to the next area, it was another place I had been to but just pixelated. It was the place where Arceus apparently was at.

 

Once again, I could hear music which means I would probably be singing again. This 1 made sense to me.

 

 

 

Since I became aware of Wehttam, I’ve been feeling like a lot of people think I’m crazy or something. I mean Cain, Laura and some other people know because they’ve seen the transformation. But other people like El or Bennett or Sirius just thinks I’m crazy and probably other people too. And to me? That just wasn’t right. Wasn’t fair. Even if I was, I haven’t done anything harmful. But even if people did or do think I’m crazy and even if it may not be fair, it’s ok. I know what’s true and so do my true friends. That’s all that matters. The song ended as did my singing. I felt somewhat better about myself somehow from it. I looked over to Stantler and pet its head. It licked my cheek. We both smiled and went on our way. The next area kind of reminded me of the Grand Gates but different. There were just a lot of gears in there. Caves there led to another cave. I was getting tired of all of these areas. I just wanted to get to Terra and then out of here. I followed the cave until I reached a very unexpected surprise.

 

Matthew: Is… Is that… Mewtwo?

Mewtwo: MEW!

 

The battle begun but believe it or not, I had gotten beat 5 times. The 6th battle I was finally able to defeat it.

 

 

 

I was extremely frustrated that it took me that long to defeat Mewtwo. I then started to hear music but something happened this time. I got transported to somewhere. It looked like the floor of the Onyx School but that was it. I started to sing.

 

 

After I stopped singing, I, as well as Stantler, warped to another place. We ran as fast as we could through to the next room and finally, standing right there, was Terra. I walked up to her with a smiling grin on my face.

 

Matthew: About god damn time! You-

Terra: AH! I HEARD ABOUT YOU MATTHEW!

Matthew: Arceus fucking- Ugh!

Terra: I AM TERRA! THEY CALL ME THE CIEL TAMER! AND I HAD THAT BITCH ON HER KNEES! COVERED IN KETCHUP.

Matthew: What in the blue fucking hell are you talking about?

Terra: Lookie here Mr. Bootylicious man. I ain’t about that dramatic speech life. But I have to tell you a lil’ somethin’.

Matthew: I don’t know I’m doing this but what do you have to say?

Terra: IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. IN A GALAXY NOT VERY FAR AWAY AT ALL. IN FACT IT WAS THIS 1. THIS GALAXY. RIGHT HERE. THE MILKY TIT. AND SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENED. I got bored.

Matthew: You? Being bored?

Terra: Sooo I was like aww yeaaa. Let’s cause some ANARCHY!

Matthew: Soo… You joined Team Meteor to cause anarchy?

Terra: FUCK NO! I joined cuzzzz chaos… is like sex. Hot. Steamy. Rawrsex. And Holy bootyness. Them Meteors be good in bed.

Matthew: Oh my god. No. I don’t want to here about your fucking sex life.

Terra: Ohh yea. BB. You have kik?

Matthew: What? No! Fuck sake!

Terra: Too bad. CUS IMMA KIK YOUR ASS!

Matthew: Alright. You know what? That’s it! I’ve had it with you! You are a demented little fucking shit and you deserved to be erased out of existence!

Terra: I-

MATTHEW: NO! NO MORE TALKING FROM YOU! IT’S MY TIME TO TALK! You have made me feel things that I didn’t know I was feeling until I came into this computer! Which, by the way, however the fuck you did that, I’m amazed with! You defy physics! And I can’t believe that I didn’t catch on sooner that you were apart of Team Meteor! But I’m getting off track! You made me feel things that maybe I didn’t want things to surface up! Things like me not thinking that I’m making a difference being here helping people against Team Meteor AKA ALSO YOU! And also making me think that other people think of me as crazy! Maybe I am but I’ve been trying to do good so everybody can have a better life than what they have right now! I’ve… I’ve been through so much in the past couple of months and if I learned anything about myself, it’s that I am who I am. And nothing can make me more than what I really am inside. Someone that cares about the people here in Reborn… And that I’m awesome. But I also no that I’m a goofball, and a wingnut and a knucklehead mcspazatron! But most of all, I’m… I’m…

Terra: The fuck is going on with-

 

 

 

I somehow was not only able to win the Gym Battle but I was able to sing as well. But this time I felt like I was having fun with the singing. Which was different from all the different songs I had sung throughout this weird computer journey. Terra than spoke to me in her weird speech but without the loudness this time, which was shocking but a relief.

 

Terra: You just won yourself a motherfucking Gravity Badge. Rawr. Gravity Badge. Pfft. More like grabbity badge. Nudge nudge grope grope know what I mean vern, know what I mean?

Matthew: Riiiight. Just give me the badge already.

Terra: Right. Here. -hands over the Gravity Badge-

Matthew: Now… I’m going to get out of here alright?

Terra: Not before you become my Senpai. Will you love me?

Matthew: Yeeeaaa no.

Terra: But I’m ready to take our relationship to the next level Matthew-kun-chan-desu-sama. My couch is yours. So be gentle.

Matthew: Uhh… You can have it?

Terra: Don’t you want my couch? How could you? Baka Baka Baka Baka Rawr Baka.

 

Terra then went through some doors. I tried to follow her but the doors wouldn’t budge. Stantler and I both went out of the doors to the south. When we came to the next room, we were standing in the backroom of the Big Top. Samson and Ciel looked so relieved to see that I was ok.

 

Ciel: Bravo, dear, bravo!

Samson: You got some nice vocals there Matt.

Matthew: Yea? I guess I do. That whole thing was… weird though.

Samson: Yea. What a stupid goose chase. Seems she was trying to just distract you from the whole Meteor deal.

Matthew: Well, if anything, she just made me remember it even more with all of that chasing and singing.

Ciel: You ok? Something seemed to have come over you on that last song there.

Matthew: I’m fine. I think I just accepted a lot of stuff.

Ciel: Well that’s good. As long as you’re good with yourself, then that’s all that matters.

Matthew: Yea… you’re right. Thanks Ciel. Although, I wish she didn’t tell me about her… sexual interactions with members of Team Meteor. -shivers-

Ciel: True. Hey. Did you notice how quiet she seemed after you basically let her have it?

Matthew: Yea. I don’t know why she did that but I’m happy she did. By the way, can you see where she went to Samson?

Samson: Naw. Haven’t been able to find her but I have an idea. Now that you’re here…

 

Samson went over to the plugs and unplugged everything. The screen on the computer went black. It was all completely shut off. I liked this idea of his.

 

Ciel: Ah, will she be alright?

Samson: Not sure but she probably can’t get out of there as long as this is off. At least she can’t cause anymore trouble for Team Meteor.

Ciel: And there will be all this peace and quiet.

Matthew: I would take that in as much as possible.

Samson: Ohh hell yea. When all of this is over though, we’ll let her out. We’ll question her about Team Meteor.

Matthew: You think she’s gonna give an actual answer?

Samson: I’m not sure but after your outburst to her like that, at least it’ll be quiet, weird answers she gives us.

Ciel: What about all of that stuff from Agate City? We still don’t know anything about it.

Matthew: I have no clue.

Ciel: Well Matthew, you leave that to us.

Samson: Yea. You need to scale a waterfall!

Ciel: Bon voyage Matthew! We’ll have that women writing novels before you know it!

Matthew: Probably erotic novels with too much detail.

Samson: With some kind of anime cross-over, yes.

Ciel:… On 2nd though, let’s scratch the novel. But we’ll figure it out.

Matthew: -chuckles- Right. I’ll see you all later.

 

I hopped on top of Stantler and rode him out towards the home of Titania and Amaria. I now had to go save those 2 from the waterfall drop. I was still hoping those 2 somehow made the fall.

Terra -3 (0/10) - Oh my fucking candy corn Christmas flakes! She is so annoying! I can't believe I had to go through all of that just to battle her! I'm glad she's stuck in her own computer now. Although, I'm shocked she stayed quiet after the battle. Maybe I got her afraid somehow? Well whatever. She's out of my hair now.

 

Samson +1 (8/10) - Samson is the man. He trapped Terra in her own computer. He's smarter than he looks. I'm sure hell enjoy all of this quietness.

 

I'd like to say thank you to the people who always come back to read this. It's almost at 6000 views. That's insane to me. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for this. This is still going but as of right now, this is going on hiatus considering it's close to Christmas. Ohh yea. Before I forget. I'd like to thank 1 @Candy for editing the sprites that were used in the battle against Terra. (the VS trainer sprite and the Pokeball throwing sprites) She didn't have to do that for me but despite being in school and also doing her own written story version of Reborn, she decided to do that for me. I know maybe you don't think you need to hear this or whatever but I seriously thank you for those and I was quite excited to finally use those in this story. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!

In no time we got to the river near Amaria and Titania’s house. I hopped off Stantler and the 2 of us walked up to the edge of the river’s waterfall.

 

I looked down and could see the long drop. It freaked me out but I knew I had to go down there to save Amaria and Titania. Although, I was only going to save Titania because I believed she would really haunt me if I never tried to rescue her and she did perish.

 

Matthew: Alright Rudie. You can’t come with me. I want you to stay here and keep watch alright?

Stantler: Stantler!

Matthew: Good boy. -turns to the waterfall- Alright… Let’s do this.

 

I called out Pistol Pete and hopped onto its back. I braced myself for the fall. He rode out closer and closer to the waterfall and went over. I never felt so much terror in my life. Pistol Pete seemed to be enjoying it though so that made me feel a bit better but not by much. It felt like it took forever but we finally hit the bottom. Somehow, I didn’t lose my grip on my Pokemon and fall into the water.

 

Matthew: -sighs of relief- Holy fuck. That was too scary.

Titania: About fucking time! Do you have any idea how fucking long I’ve been down here?

 

I could tell who that was by the tone of their voice. It was Titania. To be honest, I was a little afraid to face her because it had been sometime since the last time I saw her. But then again, I was busy with a lot of stuff. Not like she would care though. I had Pistol Pete take me closer to where the voice came from, got on top of the platform and returned it to its PokeBall. I turned around and saw Titania looking at me annoyingly.

 

Matthew: Wh… What?

Titania: You took a long ass time to get here.

Matthew: I had to do some other stuff. It wasn’t easy getting the Waterfall HM.

Titania: Fine. Whatever. Being mad at you for taking your sweet ass time isn’t going to do anything anyways.

 

I looked around the area we were in but something seemed off. Something was missing. Then I remembered.

 

Matthew: Wait… Where’s Amaria? Ohh no. Did she-

Titania: When I got down here, a group of Meteors had already taken Amaria.

Matthew: So she’s alive?!

Titania: Last time I saw her, yes.

Matthew: Ohh thank Arceus for that.

Titania: You know, I would be surprised that Team Meteor are here but then again, sewers are a common place for vermin. And going by that logic, maybe Florinia’s brother is here too…

Matthew: Tch. Only place he should be is here.

 

Titania walked up further. I followed behind her. When I came closer, I looked on the ground and could see a couple of Team Meteor Grunts lying on the ground, lifeless. Usually, the sight of this would have frightened me but I had a feeling I knew who it was.

 

Matthew: Sooo… How-

Titania: I dealt with the 1st group with my Aegislash.

Matthew: Did you really use it as a sword and shield?

Titania: Yes. Problem with that?

Matthew:… -sigh- No.

Titania: Good.

Matthew: By the way, why are you still here? I thought you would have continued to go look for Amaria.

Titania: The cowards locked me in here. Been stuck ever since. I did try questioning them but-

Matthew: You killed them and then tried getting answers from them?

 

Titania shot me an angry look. I then realized that she could easily do the same to me with her Aegislash, who seemed to not have a problem being thrusted into someone’s body and killing them. At that moment, the door in front of us unlocked and out walked, what seemed to be, Team Meteor Orderlies. It was weird. Titania instantly called out her Pokemon and armed herself. I was surprised but was thankful that I wasn’t in front of her at this moment.

 

Titania: Stepping into a room with me is the last dumb thing you’ll ever do.

Meteor Orderly: A new arriving commander has appeared on site. We have been instructed to allow you to access the greater Treatment Center.

Matthew: The greater… what?

Titania: Why?

Meteor Orderly: I cannot answer that. I am merely following the instructions of the higher faith.

Titania: Fine. Live by your orders.

Matthew: Wait Tita-

Titania: AND DIE BY THEM TOO!

 

With fast movement, Titania swung Aegislash into the Meteor Orderly. The person fell down onto the ground with blood spilling from his wound. They were instantly dead.

 

The other Meteor Orderly there ran away in fear. Titania recalled back her Pokemon.

 

Titania: Well at least we ain’t stuck anymore.

Matthew:… Remind me to not get on your bad side.

Titania: Well how about you don’t read anymore of my diaries then huh?

Matthew: I uhh… Yea…

Titania: But there is 1 thing interesting.

Matthew: What’s that?

Titania: The same time you get here, a new commander arrives. For the time being, I’ll spare us both the trouble in asking questions about that.

Matthew: Thanks, I think.

 

Titania rushed out the door that was left open. I went to follow but before I took a step, I heard a person screaming, a loud SHWING! sound and then silence. I could only think that Titania had killed yet another Meteor Orderly. I went to the next room and my thought was correct. She had killed another person.

 

She returned Aegislash back into the PokeBall.

 

Matthew: Hopefully all this killing is just a 1 time thing because of the bad guys here.

Titania: Maybe. Anyways, anyone who gets in between me and Amaria is forfeiting their life. And of course you’ll be helping.

Matthew: Well yea. I came here to help.

Titania: Well good. But this is all your fault.

Matthew: What?! How?!

Titania: You read the diary out loud dumbass!

Matthew: I… Ugh.

Titania: Believe me though, if I could, I’d run through the entire team myself. But I’ve been down here too long and I’m exhausted. So I’ll be asking favors from you. We’ll both resent it later.

Matthew: -under my breath- Or now.

Titania: Hey. That machine there. That should control the water level. We’ll be stuck unless we get to it. So get to it.

Matthew: You can at least say it more nicer.

Titania: Get to it!

Matthew: Alright. Alright. Jeez.

 

I walked over to the area Titania pointed out. Looking down at the dirty water, I saw some trash sticking out on top of the water.

 

I couldn’t risk getting Pistol Pete hurt in those waters. So I took a risk and jumped onto it. Luckily, it didn’t fall apart and have me slip into the water. I got over to the other side where the machine was. I pushed the button and all the water that was in the room drained out. Titania ran to the next room as soon as the water was gone, leaving me in the room by myself. I ran to the next room as fast as I could. When I got to the next room, I ran up to Titania who was standing in front of another pile of garbage that could be seen above the water.

 

Matthew: You gonna jump across it now?

Titania: Guess I don’t have a choice. But hey. Do me a favor?

Matthew: What’s that?

Titania: If I fall in, tell Amaria that I didn’t blame her… much.

 

With that Titania, hopped on top of the garbage onto the platform on the other side. She seemed surprised that she wasn’t as worn out as she thought. I followed suit. I switched the machine on which drained all the water just like the other room. Except this time, I had to go to the garbage and push them around so I could get to other places and then turn the water back on. It was disgusting but it was better than falling into that dirty water. I don’t know why but I could feel as if Titania was enjoying this. I finally was able to get to the other side of the room and went to the next room. Titania came up beside me.

 

Titania: Took you long enough to do that.

Matthew: Titania, I’ve never been here before. I don’t know where things go and how to navigate through here.

Titania: Excuses. But we’re here now. Tch. But not a whole lot of options here. Well let’s do this.

 

Titania started to hop on top of the garbage but once she got onto a platform, the water started draining. Titania was stranded on the platform. It was too high up for her to drop down. The 2 of us looked across and saw someone standing there with his hand on the switch. I knew exactly who it was.

 

Matthew: Taka?

 

Taka: Hello there Matthew. Surprising to see you here. Well… not really. But my, my. The water level drops and leaves you stranded and apart. What ever will you do now?

Titania: Stick around and find out.

Taka: Naw but thanks for the offer.

Titania: So are you the new commander those others mentioned?

Taka: I dunno if I’m much of a commander per se, but that’s sort of what I’m doing down here I guess.

Titania: Uh huh. And what do you want?

Taka: Want? I’m just following orders.

Matthew: Taka… You know you don’t have to listen to them. Just… Just stop and join us.

Taka: I can’t Matt. I’d be going against orders.

Matthew: But Taka-

Titania: Enough Matt. You. What do you accomplish by letting us in here in the 1st place? Could have just left us locked in here and made off with Amaria and the Sapphire Bracelets already. But you didn’t and there’s a reason. Tell it.

Taka: Jeesh. So many questions and demands… Are you really in a place for that?

Matthew: It’s not gonna matter to her dude.

Titania: Really Matthew? Anyways, don’t avoid the subject. Answer me.

Taka: As enticing as that sounds, I don’t think I will. I mean why in the world would I give the information to the people who are supposed to be my enemies?

Titania: Tch. Don’t act like your precious little team is that good at keeping secrets anyway. I’ve been getting information out of your grunts for months and-

Matthew: Wait wait! What?! Are you apart of Team Meteor?!

Titania: What? No. I just wanted to get info on them and in return, I gave them false intel.

Matthew: How can I trust you about that?

Titania: It doesn’t matter if you do or not. I’m not apart of them. End of discussion.

Matthew: Whatever you say.

Taka: You 2 seem to be falling apart.

Titania: We weren’t really the best of friends to begin with.

Matthew: She actually said something I can agree with.

Taka: Well whatever the case is, at the end of the day, the 2 of you are stuck over there now and I have an operation to manage. So if it’s cool, I’m gonna go do that. See ya. -leaves the area-

Matthew: Wait! Taka!

Titania: Enough. He’s gone. No use in shouting for him. No then. You wanna see if you can get me off of this?

Matthew: Only because if I don’t, you’d annoy me to death somehow.

Titania: Well aren’t you just a team player.

Matthew: Hey. You just made it to where I can’t trust you.

Titania: -sigh- Look, I’ll tell you about it when we’re back up on the surface. Now can you just please help me get unstuck?

 

I sighed and went to do whatever it was that I had to do to get her to be unstuck. I only had to beat 1 Meteor Orderly and hit the switch for the water to come up. Titania was able to jump across the floating garbage and get to the other side and hit the button for the gate in between to disappear.

 

Titania: Well that was annoying.

Matthew: Yea but…

Titania: But what?

Matthew: Something feels awkward.

Titania: Hmm… You know, you’re actually right. But it’s probably nothing. Let’s go.

 

The 2 of us walked into the next room. Not long after, we came across 2 Meteor Orderlies with Taka behind them.

 

Matthew: Him again.

Titania: Right. Matt, you remember I only have 1 Pokemon right?

Matthew: Yea.

Titania: Good. -calls out Aegislash- I’ll help but you gotta pull the weight.

Matthew: I’ve been doing that most of the time I’ve been here with you.

Titania: What was that?

Matthew: Let’s just get this over with.

 

We battled the 2 Meteor Orderlies and came out victorious but not without a few hiccups. Titania and I would get in each other’s way with our attacks. Even at 1 point, 1 of my Pokemon knocked out her Aegislash. Luckily, that happened near the end of the battle. She recalled back her Pokemon.

 

Titania: Wow. Some partner you are.

Matthew: Hey. Your Pokemon was always getting in front of mine. Some Gym Leader you are.

Titania: Why you-

Taka: This is enjoyable. Seeing to of my enemies argue amongst each others.

Titania: Ohh yes. You and your 2 lackies here. Well seeing as you both are defenseless now.

 

Titania quickly called back out her Aegislash and sliced it into 1 of the Metoer Orderlies guts and slicing it open, killing him almost immediately. The other 1 backed up against the wall with Titania thrusting the sword part of Aegislash towards him.

 

Matthew: Did you really have to do that Titania?

Titania: I wouldn’t have to do this if they hadn’t taken Amaria.

Taka: Wow. Ok. You know, battles are 1 thing, but I don’t particularly appreciate you harming my colleagues.

Titania: Ohh well. Return Amaria and this won’t happen anymore. Since Team Meteor won’t stop at nothing to achieve their goals, why should I?

Taka: Look, I really can’t defend some of the others’ actions alright?

Matthew: Then stop being Team Meteor’s pawn and join us!

Taka: I wish Matt… But it’s not gonna work out.

Titania: Where’s Amaria?

Taka:… She’s in the Control Room. So if you want her, come and get her.

Titania: Believe me, I intend to.

 

Titania started hoping across some garbage on the water but Taka then ran to the switch and pushed it, once again draining the water and leaving Titania stranded. She was obviously annoying. But something seemed off. Then I realized something.

 

Matthew: Taka, you’re-

Taka: Shush. You’re stuck again. Good luck getting here. -leaves the area-

Titania: He always act like that?

Matthew: I mean… somewhat. Yea.

Titania: Sucks. Well, looks like you gotta help me again.

 

Just like in the previous room, I helped her and then she helped me. But it seemed like she was starting to realize the same thing I figured out when Taka pressed the switch. The 2 of us walked into the next room and figured out the way to move around in there and then headed to the next. Titania stopped and looked at the dirty water.

 

Matthew: Titania? What is it?

Titania: Hmm. This should be the central turbine of the plant.

Matthew: What’s it do?

Titania: It’s supposed to keep the water clean. But it seems Team Meteor somehow has messed with it.

Matthew: So that’s why the water never got cleaned after me and Amaria dealt with these guys back at the Power Plant.

Titania: We should try to get to it and figure out the problem. You know, you’d think someone would’ve thought to check down here before.

Matthew: Well, knowing Meteor, they probably had radioed in fake reports of the things down here working properly.

Titania: Yea. That’s possible. Well seems like there’s 2 ways to go. I’ll go up and you go to the left.

 

Before I could get out a word, Titania rushed upwards and through the door. I was a little upset but then realized that I would have some alone time away from her. I continued to go into many different rooms, trying to go through them all as thoroughly as I could. While it did feel nice to be away from her, it was a bit scary being down here by myself. My stomach started to grumble as I realized how I was feeling and knew it was Wehttam.

 

Matthew: Ok. I’m scared but I’m not that scared to call you out and take over.

 

When I entered the next room, I looked around and could see Titania standing on a platform. I went over to where she was and on the other side I could see Taka. Titania turned towards me.

 

Titania: Well, this seems to be a dead end. You find anything?

Matthew: Not really. I’ve just been trying to find a way to try to clear the water but nothing so far.

 

Taka then hit the switch and the water drained. Titania was annoyed with him but so was I. Titania went up to the edge of the platform and started yelling at him.

 

Titania: Dude, seriously, what in the hell is your problem?

Taka: Problem? What problem? I’m obviously just following orders and trying to slow you 2 down.

Titania & Matthew: Bullshit!

Taka: Seems as though you 2 have finally agreed on something.

Matthew: Wha? It’s not like that. We just see right through you and calling you out.

Taka: See right through me? Whatever do you mean?

Titania: Tch. You’re not even trying to hide it anymore. If you hadn’t pulled the switches in all the rooms you tried to “stop” us, we wouldn’t have been able to proceed.

Matthew: Exactly. Dude, just leave Team Meteor and join the good dudes.

Titania: I agree. Simple answer to a simple question. Do you want to be on Team Meteor’s side or not?

Taka: Of course not but… it’s just not that simple.

Titania: It is if you let it be.

Taka: Ugh… To be honest, I don’t really agree with much of what Team Meteor does.

Matthew: If that’s the case, leave them. Help us stop them.

Taka: Heh. If only it were that easy. I would love to Matt but I’m in here for life… So I’ve gotta at least pretend to follow suit, you know?

Titania: You don’t actually. If you don’t agree with them, then don’t serve them. Done and done.

Taka: I can’t! I don’t really have a choice about that-

Titania: It’s not just gonna go away if you cover your eyes and pretend not to see it.

Matthew: Plus dude, aren’t they gonna see you helping us? You’ll get into big time trouble and I don’t want to see you in trouble or hurt.

Titania: It’s useless Matt. He’s too afraid to make the choice.

Taka: It’s… not like that. But… thank you Matt. I don’t know if I’ve ever felt this before.

Matthew: Felt what?

Taka: Felt what it’s like having… a friend.

Titania: Oh my-

Taka: But I can’t just up and quit Team Meteor. We’re the last direct descendants of the culture that enshrined Arceus’ meteor in Reborn so many centuries ago. It’s our duty to protect it. It’s my birthright… or more like my curse. And I can’t change that.

Matthew: Taka…

Titania: Not if you keep acting like a coward.

Taka: Yes. Running away from my fate would be cowardice.

Titania: Is that what your father told you?

Taka: What?

Titania: You said yourself you don’t agree with Team Meteor’s actions, but you are allowing this to happen. They’re your actions too.

Matthew: Titania, maybe you should-

Titania: If you don’t like it, change it. If you can’t change it, leave it.

Matthew: Titania!

Titania: What?!

Matthew: Just stop it already alright?!

Taka: You wouldn’t understand… But that’s ok. I’m going on ahead. If you want your friend back, you both should follow. Ohh yea. The key to the door here is in the Lapis Water Grid Room. Have you already been there? I’m sure Team Meteor would just hate it if you happened to clear all the rooms. So make sure you do that. -leaves the area-

Matthew: Jeesh…

Titania: Have you gone soft or something?

Matthew: What do you mean?

Titania: You’re being too nice to him. You need to be blunt and honest with him.

Matthew: I think you’re like that with everyone. It doesn’t always work your way. In fact, it could make situations worse sometimes.

Titania: Urgh!

 

Titania called out her Aegislash and started slicing at a machine. She was obviously pissed off with what had happened and at my answer.

 

Titania: Heh… If only he were standing there.

Matthew: Holy hell. Isn’t that a bit much?

Titania: Listen Matthew. I don’t expect you to get it but listen. I HATE living a lie.

Matthew: Alright. Alright. I’m sorry.

Titania: But… I should thank you Matthew for resolving this. Aside from the part where Amy jumped off a waterfall. No thanks for that. But I can’t stand this. I can’t STAND seeing somebody else act so-

Matthew: Titania. Titania! Just… try to calm down alright? I’m sorry.

Titania:… Forget it. I’m just tired. Look, you go on further. I need a moment to myself.

 

I looked into Titania’s eyes. It was easy to see that she was very upset with all of this. I did what she asked and continued my way through the room giving her her space. I came across some Meteor Orderlies and battled them. When the battle was over, they ran away. Titania then came her way up to me.

 

Matthew: Hey… Doing better?

Titania: Yea… But you’ll have to excuse me if I’m a little reckless with what little energy I have. Come on. Let’s go through the door.

 

Luckily while I was looking through the rooms when Titania and I split up, I did in fact find a key. The door unlocked and the 2 of us walked in. We walked up to what seemed to be a pair of gates. Titania decided to go through 1 of them but when she made it to the other side, it locked itself, once again separating us.

 

Titania: Are you fucking kidding me?

Matthew: How many times has this happened already?

Titania: I don’t know but I’m the 1 stuck… again.

Matthew: I think you’ve been stuck in every situation this happened.

Titania: Ugh! Is this supposed to be some kind of metaphor? Because I’m not getting it.

Matthew: I think you’re just getting unlucky.

Titania: Well fortunately for us, it seems that the water control for this room is here.

Matthew: That’s good right?

Titania: Yea but it’s not gonna do me much good.

Matthew: So basically, I gotta save you again right?

Titania: Yep. But I’ll be helping you though. Hop to it.

Taka +1 (7/10) - Man. I feel so bad for Taka. Not only does he have to deal with Team Meteor, which he clearly hates working for, but now he has Titania wanting to slice his head off of his body. He can't catch a break. I hope he comes to his senses and breaks free from them.

 

Titania +1/-2 (4/10) - I give her credit for surviving that fall and lasting for as long as she did down here. But... she still seems to hold a grudge on me for reading her diary. And seems to enjoy torturing me. I can't wait to get out of here so I can get away from her.

I know I had to get on the other side of the platform to get to wherever it was I was going. Presumably a way for this filthy water to be cleaned up. Since Titania was in the area to have the water level rise or not, it was much easier to get through. When I finally made it to the place where I was supposed to be, Titania shouted out over to me.

 

Titania: Alright. Now you gotta go try to find the source of all of this water pollution mess.

Matthew: Well, what are you gonna do?

Titania: I can’t do anything except stay here. It’s all up to you.

Matthew: Well… alright. I guess I’ll see you whenever I see you.

Titania: Don’t take too long!

Matthew: Alright. Alright. I’ll try not to.

Titania: 1 more thing before you go. When you do find the problem of the pollution and take care of it, you have to go through all of the areas we’ve been in and turn the turbines on.

Matthew: What?!

Titania: Don’t complain. When you do that, the water that comes in will be clean then. It’s the only way you’ll be able to get me out of here anyways.

Matthew: Wait. Wait. What do you mean?

Titania: You need to fill the areas with clean water and then you’ll be able to get me out. At the top of this place is some gates and they’ll only be unlocked when the water is cleaned.

Matthew: -sighs- Alright. I’ll try not to be too long.

 

I went down and exited the room. The room was familiar as I was here just a little bit ago, but I wasn’t on the platform I was on. I continued to keep walking the path. I continued walking the long path going right and was pondering what could be the cause of all this water not being able to cleanse itself. I came to a room where there was another turbine. I pressed the button and the water drained. I looked over the ledge and there in some kind of machine was a giant red Swalot. I walked down the steps and stood in front of the beast.

 

Matthew: This Swalot… This machine looks familiar. It’s gotta be a PULSE Machine. This Swalot looks like it’s in pain. Has this thing been here even before I’ve come here? The waters here have been polluted to hell ever since I’ve been here!

PULSE Swalot: -snarls and makes weird noises-

Matthew: Alright you big lug! It’s time for your stay here to be over!

 

 

 

The battle between us started but it wasn’t very hard. Thanks to my Arbok and Weezing, the battle was over within a minute. When it was over, the Swalot moved away. I hoped that it was gonna go somewhere that it wouldn’t pollute anymore water. I walked back up the stairs and walked over to the turbines and pressed the button. I looked over the railing and could see water rushing in but this time, the water wasn’t a grayish purple. It was a bright blue color. This was the 1st time I ever saw the water like this.

 

Matthew: This is… this is… AWESOME! The water’s all blue now! This is great! I’ll have to go to the other areas in here and turn the turbines on so the clean water can get in here.

 

I went off in a rush to get to the other turbines. It was surprisingly easy to remember all the ones I’ve seen. It filled me with joy every time I turned on a turbine and the water came out looking so pretty and clean. I was having fun doing this. After turning all the turbines on, I came back to where I had left Titania an hour ago. I had a feeling she would yell at me because of how long I took but I didn’t care about that. I got into the room and over to the gate. She came over, looking annoyed as I expected her to be.

 

Titania: Do you KNOW how long you’ve been gone for?!

Matthew: Yes but-

Titania: You really need to learn how to do things faster. Like fuck.

Matthew: I’m sorry for being slow but-

Titania: I could have died here! Do you know that?! I-

Matthew: Titania! Shut up and let me talk!

Titania:… What?

Matthew: Go back over there and have the water come into the room.

 

She gave me an odd look and then her eyes widened. She ran over to the button and watched as the crystal clear blue water came running into the room. I could see a smile come over her face. She looked nice smiling over to me. She glanced over to me and then quickly went back to her pissed off looking face. But I could tell she felt better with what had happened here. She came back walking over to me.

 

Titania: Well… you did a good job I suppose.

Matthew: Thanks.

Titania: Yea… This has been a while.

Matthew: Yea. I’ve been here for a while now and… just wow.

Titania: This is a happy moment buuuut you should really go and get me out of here.

Matthew: Ohh. Right.

 

I made it to the upper layer of the room and got through all of the gates and made it to a computer terminal. I pressed the button and the gate below me opened up. Titania came walking up to me with a pleased look on her face.

 

Titania: Thanks… Maybe you’re not that bad after all.

Matthew: I don’t know what to-

Titania: I’m still not gonna forget the fact that you read my diary though.

Matthew: Ohh… yea… I know.

Titania: Anyways, the whole city should have running clean water now. You know… Amaria would be proud.

Matthew: She will be proud. Let’s go rescue her so when she does wake up, she can see what’s happened.

Titania: You’re right. Let’s go Matt.

 

Titania went running up into a room that was open near the many gates. When I finally made it there and went to the next room, I could see Titania pointing the sword part of Aegislash towards Taka.

 

Matthew: Titania! No!

Taka: Easy there killer… I think you should be showing me some gratitude.

Matthew: Gratitude?

Titania: For what? Your complete lack of a spine?

Taka: I mean… if that’s how you wanna look at it.

Matthew: Titania, I think you should just try to calm down.

Titania: Are you kidding me Matthew?!

Taka: If it makes you feel any better, I’ve had the liberty of having her wounds treated.

Matthew: See? Isn’t that a good thing Titania?

Titania: Hmph. It’s not the only thing you’ve taken.

Taka: Ohh. You mean these? -holds up the Sapphire Bracelets-

Titania: Yes. Give them to me now.

Taka: Sure. Catch. -throws the Sapphire Bracelets to Titania-

Titania: -catches them- If you’re expecting a thanks, you can forget it. You’re pathetic.

Matthew: Can’t you say something nice once in a while?

Titania: He doesn’t deserve it even if I was in the mood to do so.

Taka: Whatever you say but hey. My dad’s on his way over to collect that. I kinda had to radio it in before. Sooo you might have to deal with that soon.

Titania: I’m willing to accept that responsibility as are you Matthew.

Matthew: Did you think I wasn’t? I’ve had to deal with him for a while.

 

Titania walked over to where Amaria was resting. She examined over her to make sure nothing was wrong with her or if anything looked out of place. When she was satisfied with what she saw, she lifted her off the table and carried her in her arms.

 

Titania: I will say this to you though. Give my regards to the men who treated her.

Taka: I would… but you kind of killed them all.

Titania: Ahh… Well… Tough luck. So you’re just gonna let us walk out of her with the bracelets and Amy.

Taka: Looks that way. Yep. Well… I do have 1 favor to ask.

Matthew: What’s that?

Taka: It’s actually for you Matthew.

Matthew: Me?

Taka: Yes. I need you to beat me in a battle.

Matthew: Beat you in a battle? Why?

Taka: Well I gotta at least make it looked like I tried.

Matthew: I…

Titania: Destiny? You see the door right here? This could be your destiny. You choose it. It doesn’t choose you. No one’s going to stop you. Not even me.

Matthew: I think you should listen to her Taka. You obviously hate being apart of this team.

Taka: You 2 don’t understand. My blood stops me. And my father… do you have any idea what he would do?

Matthew: Yea… I do.

Taka: No you-

Matthew: Taka! I do! Do you know remember Pyrous Mountain!? He killed Kiki!

 

The room fell silent after I said that. I looked over to Titania. While she didn’t seem to mad over it, I could see the disgust on her face.

 

Titania: I knew something happened up there but… I didn’t know that happened.

Solaris used his Garchomp to slice her neck. It was… gruesome.

Taka: I’m sorry for that. I didn’t know he would do that but-

Matthew: Didn’t know?! Of course you do! You’re afraid he’ll do the same to you!

Taka:… Just forget I said anything. Hurry up, beat me and get out of here already.

Titania: I’ve had enough of this. If you’re not going to stop us, I’m not going to enable you to keep cowering from your choices. If we defeat you, we just let you go on like this.

Taka: Please… I’ve done every courtesy I could for you down here. Do me this 1 favor.

Titania: I’m out of here. Let’s go Matt.

Matthew: Hold on.

 

Titania stopped and turned around towards me. I could see her face getting angrier. But I wasn’t going to let that scare me this time.

 

Matthew: Just stay here and watch.

Titania: So you’re gonna battle him.

Matthew: Yes. But just trust me.

Taka: Yes! Thank you Matthew!

Titania: I’m not staying here to watch this.

Matthew: Then at least stay out in the next room.

Titania: Fuck. Whatever. -leaves to the next room-

Taka: Let’s get this over with!

 

Taka and I threw out our Pokemon. Surprisingly to Taka, he was able to knock out my 1st Pokemon rather easily. I sent out the next 1 and in a matter of seconds, he had knocked that 1 out as well. The 3rd Pokemon was sent out and was soon knocked out. Taka was puzzled.

 

Taka: What… What’s going on? I know you’re stronger than this.

Matthew: Ohh I am. But you just seem to be getting lucky I guess.

Taka: Like hell I’m getting lucky! You’re not even using moves that would be good against my Pokemon! You’re just… You’re-

Matthew: Throwing the match?

Taka: You’re throwing the match?

Matthew: Mhm.

Taka: W-Why?

Matthew: Look, Titania might not have a heart and is fucking almost impossible to deal with but… she’s right. You need to leave this organization you’re in right now with Team Meteor.

Taka: Matt, I told you that I can’t-

Matthew: Taka, I know you’re scared and I don’t blame you. But if you don’t do what’s best for you, you’ll never feel good about yourself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone so… so… so out of it and depressed.

Taka: But… What about my dad?

Matthew: He’ll probably come after you. He’s definitely coming after me. I’m not asking you to go after Team Meteor with us. Just get away from it. Do what’s good for you.

Taka: Matt… I… I…

Matthew: Listen, I’m gonna go out into the room Titania’s in right now. We’re not going to stay out there for long. If you don’t come out soon, we’ll know your answer. I hope you make the right 1.

 

I walked out of the room leaving Taka to make this life changing decision. When I came to the next room, I saw Titania standing there. She seemed impressed with what I had done.

 

Titania: So you were going to throw the match with him and have him win huh?

Matthew: Yea. Not proud of it but I hope he makes the right choice.

Titania: Well I’m not staying here all day just to see what he decides to do with his life.

Matthew: I know. I’m not either.

Taka: Well, you don’t have to worry about that. I’m gonna leave Team Meteor.

Matthew: Taka!

Titania: Heh. So your plan worked. Don’t you dare double cross us though or I will slice you in 2.

Taka: I won’t. I promise. So… what now?

 

Matthew: Let’s get the fuck out of here.

Titania: I’m with Matthew on this 1. I’m gonna go ahead with Amaria. See you 2 at the entrance of this place.

 

Titania rushed to get to the waterfall area of the place. Taka and I walked back there. It felt good to have Taka on our side. He seemed to be happy about the decision too. But I was still curious about something.

 

Matthew: So now that you’ve decided to join us, are you gonna battle against Team Meteor?

Taka: Matt, I JUST quit Team Meteor. And besides, I don’t know how smart that would be to try to go against my father.

Matthew: It’s ok. I was just wondering.

Taka: But… Thank you. You and Titania made me realize what I was doing was stupid and not good for me.

Matthew: It’s no problem.

 

The 2 of us made it to the room that would lead to the room with the waterfall in it. Taka headed in 1st. As I was about to head in though, a shadowy figure started to form above me. I jumped and scrambled backwards a bit but then I started to realize who it was.

 

Matthew: Shade? Is that you?

Shade: Forget not. 4 screens foretold 4 souls’ fortune forsaken. For, forsooth, from foreshadowed, only 2 will be taken.

Matthew: Wait. 4 screens… You mean the ones from your gym!

 

But before I could say anything else, he vanished. I looked around the room but couldn’t see him anywhere. I started to wonder to myself why he showed up and reminded me about that. Taka popped back into the room when he realized I wasn’t with him.

 

Taka: Hey. You ok Matt?

Matthew: Huh? Uhh, yea. Yea I’m fine. I’m just tired. Yea. Just tired.

Taka: Well we can rest when we get to… wherever we’re going.

 

The 2 of us proceeded to the next room. I was still a little weirded out from Shade’s appearance but I knew I couldn’t focus on that now. We went up to the end of the room and stood by the edge. Titania was staring at us with an annoyed look on her face.

 

Titania: About time you 2 showed up.

Matthew: Sorry. We were just discussing things.

Titania: Well do that later.

Taka: So we go up the waterfall huh?

TItania: Yea. Deliverance here will take us up. You’ll ride with Matthew. Now let’s go Deliverance! -rides up the waterfall-

Taka: She seems like she can get on your nerves easily.

Matthew: She can. Anyways, ever ride on a Clawitzer?

Taka: No. Why?

Matthew: Come on out Pistol Pete!

 

I threw the PokeBall out towards the water and out popped the Clawitzer. When it saw Taka, it prepared to attack him but I was able to stop it.

 

Matthew: No no! He’s on our side now!

Clawitzer: Itzer?

Taka: I should be expecting this a lot shouldn’t I?

Matthew: Maybe but you looked the nicest out of all the Team Meteor Grunts. Anyways, let’s go.

 

Taka and myself both jumped from the platform onto Clawitzer. I ordered it to ride up the waterfall so we could get back up to the top. It listened to my command and brought the 2 of us back up to the surface.

Taka +3 (10/10) - Yes! Taka has finally quit Team Meteor and joined the good guys!... kind of! So maybe he won't fight against Team Meteor with us but hey. It's good to know he's out of that group now. I feel like him and I are gonna have a special friendship.

 

Titania +1 (5/10) - Well at least she didn't give me much shit since I purified the water and helped her get out of that predicament she was in... Although maybe I should have had her stay there. Anyways, she's got Amaria now and all of this mess is over with. What's gonna happen now?

When we made it onto land, Taka and I hopped off of Clawitzer and I returned it back to my PokeBall. When we turned around, Stantler came up to me and started to lick my face.

 

Matthew: -chuckles- I’ve missed you too Rudie.

Taka: Is that your Stantler Matt?

Matthew: Umm… Kind of. I’ve used it in battles but I’ve never caught it. It let’s me ride around on it.

Taka: That sounds cool. So… what do we do now?

Matthew: Well we should probably check in with Titania and Amaria and see how they’re doing and then depending on the situation, we’ll rest there or go back to Agate Circus and have a long rest.

Taka: Sounds like a good plan.

Matthew: Before we go though, what do you plan on doing? Do you have any idea?

Taka: Umm… I’m not sure yet.

Matthew: Alright. That’s fine. Just thought I’d ask. Let’s go then.

 

The 3 of us started to walk up to Amaria and Titania’s house. When we were getting close though, I heard a familar voice that I hadn’t heard for quite some time call my name. Taka jumped at the sound of the shriekingness of the voice. I turned around and could see Julia and Florinia walking up towards us. My stomach started to feel like it was going out of control. Wehttam must have been going crazy from seeing Florinia again after so long of not seeing her.

 

Matthew: Hey hey. Calm down. I know Florinia’s here.

Taka: Who are you talking to?

Matthew: Wehtta… Ohh right. I’ll have to explain it to you later.

 

Julia: Matthew! You’re here! Oh my god! How are you? It’s totally been about 48 episodes since I saw you last time!

Taka: 48 episodes?

Matthew: She’s… She’s just weird.

Julia: See or cause any explosions lately?

Matthew: And she’s also really into explosions too.

Florinia: Greetings.

Julia: Ohh. Hi Matthew’s friend! Who are you?

Taka: The name’s Taka and uhh… I… I used to be apart of Team Meteor.

 

Julia’s face froze. I could understand why Taka would want to be open about his involvement with Team Meteor so he could be fully truthful but to be like that with people you literally just met and to who they also have been battling against for a very long time probably wasn’t a good thing. I stepped in front of the 2 and explained the situation. Luckily, that seemed to have done the trick and Julia went back to her happy go lucky bomb loving ways.

 

Julia: Well you should have explained how Matt helped you get out of that situation! Sorry if I scared you.

Taka: It’s… It’s ok. I think I would be too if the roles were revered.

Matthew: -relieved sigh- What are you 2 doing up here anyways?

Julia: Ohh yea! We flew ip here cus we saw Amy and Tania riding up the waterfall and we were filled with big question marks! But see ing you here?! Along with an ex member of Team Meteor!? That’s like adding a whole bunch of exclamation points at the end! So we HAD to come up!

Taka: Yea. We were down there with them. We were actually gonna go check on them now.

Julia: Great! By the way, I’m impressed you’ve made it this far Matthew!

Matthew: You are? Why?

Julia: Well almost nobody even GETS to challenge some of the higher up Leaders because so many of the other ones are off hiding in caves or getting chased by evil doctors!

Matthew: Wait. You knew about the orphanage break out?

Julia: Yep! You and Cain and Shelly did a good thing! Could have used some boomies though.

Florinia: Indeed. Referring back to the Gym Leader, Ame has been overseeing your endeavors and will be modifying procedures and policies as necessary.

Matthew: Sounds like a good thing. No more evil Gym Leaders.

Florinia: Also, she has additionally permitted us to deliver this to you.

 

Florinia walked up to me and handed me a machine that said the word “FLY” on it. I was happy to have gotten this but unfortuantely, I didn’t have a Pokemon that could learn this move. Despite Gliscor being a Flying Type, I knew he couldn’t learn this move for whatever reason. However, I thanked her for it and placed it into my pocket.

 

Julia: After you get done beating a Seel, you’ll get the badge and then you have to come back to Reborn!

Florinia: Ciel.

Matthew: -stomach growls and rumbles- Jeesh. Calm down.

Julia: Riniii, that’s what I just said! Jeez! Anyways, once you get that, you and you’re friend have to come back to the city and say hi! You should SEE what we’ve done to the place!

Matthew: What’s been done? What do you mean?

Julia: That old Fairy Gym Leader, Adrienn I think, showed up and was able to rally everyone into helping renovate the city and it’s practically EXPLODED with progress!

Florinia: While there were several explosions involved, they were not an intended reconstructional step.

Julia: Theywereme.

 

I could feel excitement welling up from inside me. It had been months since I 1st arrived here and I remembered how the streets and the buildings and the atmosphere was so just downright down in the dumps. I could never imagined that this place could be restored to its natural glory it once was. I wanted to have it happen even though I had no way of knowing how to do that. But I was glad that I had run into Adrienn when me and some others were going after El in that place underground. I looked over to Taka and could even see some excitement from his facial expressions as well. But then, we all heard a weird noise. The lot of us turned around and looked up in the air and spotted something.

 

Julia: What is that?

Matthew: Is that… a helicopter?

Taka: Wait a minute… That’s a Team Meteor helicopter!

Florinia: Confirmed. Team Meteor spotted.

Julia: What?! They’re here to! No way! I’m gonna boomboom their faces off if they try to do anything to Amy and Tania! -runs off towards the building-

Florinia: This situation may not be easily resolved. Do ensure your preparation before attending to it. -runs off towards the building-

Matthew: Fuck. They got here fast. Come on Taka. Let’s go too.

Taka: Uhh… Yea. Sure.

 

The Stantler, Taka and I got up to the building. Before we went in however, I could see that Taka seemed quite scared. We hid away from sight in hopes that Team Meteor didn’t see us. But thanks to the noise the helicopter was making, it would be easier for us to talk without them hearing us.

 

Matthew: What’s wrong Taka?

Taka: I saw… I saw my father on that plane.

Matthew: Solaris… Fuck. Hey. I get it if you don’t want to dash in there and help ok.

Taka: But… But what do I do then?

Matthew: You and Rudie will stay out here. If any Team Meteor Grunts try to get in, battle them and scare them away. Rudie will help too.

Taka: Alright. I think I can do that. I’ll look through the glass to see what goes on, alright?

Matthew: Alright. See you soon Taka.

 

I patted Taka on the shoulder and then rushed inside. When I got in there, I saw Julia freaking out about Team Meteor being there to Titania. She didn’t seem to be concerned though. Well, not as concerned as I expected her to be.

 

Titania: Chill Julia. We expected them. I just didn’t expect them so soon.

Julia: Ohh! I know! Let’s lure them in here and then blow the whole place up on their faces and then the rest of us can sneak out unharmed!

Matthew: Julia, explosions aren’t the answer for everything. Besides, I’m not in the mood to just run away from them. It’s time to stand and fight!

Titania: So you’re here as well Matthew. Perfect. Where’s the boy?

Matthew: He’s outside. He can’t stand up to his father. So I put him and Rudie on Team Meteor Grunts take out duty.

Titania: Better than doing nothing I guess. Anyways, there’s no way I’m blowing this place up. Amaria was injured. She’s in her room in the back, but she hasn’t woken up yet. We can’t move her.

Julia: Huh? Amy was- Nooooo. Is she going to be ok?!

Titania: I don’t know. But I’m not giving up on her. And there’s no way in hell I’m letting Team Meteor get her again.

Julia: Then there’s only 1 thing to do!

Matthew: For the 1000th time Julia, we can’t always just explode things! It’s not always the answer!

Julia: Fight, fight, fight! We’ll win the day! We’ll send those Meteor jerks away!

Matthew: Ohh… Nevermind then.

Florinia: Understood. Analyzing structure.

Titania: What do you mean? There’s nothing to analyze. Take up defensive positions at the house exits. We won’t let them in.

Florinia: Incorrect. I hypothesize that Team Meteor will create additional entrance routes.

Titania: Ugh. Are you ever gonna stop talking that way Florinia? It’s been how many years and you’re still overreacting?

Julia: Please! Now’s not the time for that! Let’s listen to her plan.

Matthew: Yea. For once, I agree with Julia.

 

Florinia then started to tell her plan to us. She planned for herself and I to take a defensive line on top of the stairs. She had Julia stand guard in the back room in case some grunts would break into the place from there. She had Titania go back into Amaria’s room in case Team Meteor somehow got in there as well. Everyone got into position. There was a big explosion that could be heard from upstairs and down came Solaris. His eyes and my eyes locked onto each others.

 

Solaris: So, it seems we are not unexpected.

Matthew: You’d be dumb to think that we wouldn’t be.

Solaris: Heh. So cocky. I will make this simple. You will give us the Sapphire Bracelets and you will be left in peace.

Matthew: Aaannnd if we refuse?

Solaris: We will take them by force and you will be left in ruin.

Matthew: That’s the best threat you could come up? Psh. Please. I’m more afraid of Julia back here and she’s 1 of the good guys.

Julia: Hi! Now let’s boom your face off! There’s no way we’re gonna give in to an old creep like you!

Solaris: Understood. -pulls out a walkie talkie and talks into it- Team Meteor, attack.

 

A couple of Team Meteor Grunts came crashing through the glass windows and landed inside. 2 of them ran up to Florinia and I and a battle broke out. It really wasn’t that hard to dispose of them though as the 2 of us were victorious over them. After that, a voice could be heard. A familiar voice. Sirius came up through the door dragging Fern by the collar of his shirt. Taka must have hidden somewhere so Sirius wouldn’t have noticed him. I couldn’t blame him for that.

 

Fern: What the fuck! Let me fucking go! What do you think you’re doing?

Matthew: Seriously?

Fern: Shut up Matt! Don’t you see the predicament I’m in?! Sis, help!

Sirius: The Bracelets for his life.

 

Another window could be heard being broken into. Julia swiftly rushed into the room to try to stop a Team Meteor member.

 

Florinia: As predicted.

Sirius: So what is your answer Florinia?

Fern: Ahh! Please! You can’t just turn your back on me like this!

Florinia: Incorrect!

Fern: Wha-What are you saying?!

 

I was shocked that Florinia had said that. I mean I didn’t have any love loss for Fern and honestly didn’t really care what would happen to him. Of course though, I knew this was all a ruse to try to get the bracelets but I wasn’t expecting Florinia’s answer to be that. Even Fern’s reaction to that seemed like he was hurt from that.

 

Matthew: Wow… I can’t-

Florinia: My position is unchanged.

Fern: Tch. That’s cold sis. I mean, I know you’re a wannabe robot but I thought that you at least had some feeling left.

Matthew: That’s rich coming from you Fern.

Fern: Shut it! This is between me and her! I’ll deal with you soon enough!

Blake: God damn lady! Calm the fuck down already!

 

Blake called out his Walrein and sealed the door with ice, which meant that Julia was now trapped in the room. He turned around and saw me. His expression was clear that he was annoyed that I was there. I was also annoyed that he was there too but knew I would have an enjoyable time knocking his ass down again.

 

Solaris: Blake. Fern. You will remove this obstacle.

Blake: Whatever. At least I’ll get some payback from the battle we had on top of that mountain.

Matthew: The result will be the same now as it was on there.

Fern: You got it boss.

Florinia: “Boss”? Am I to correctly conclude that you are following instructions of this group?

Matthew: Shit. A lot’s been going on that I didn’t even tell you. Yea. He’s with them. Honestly though, I wasn’t all that surprised when I found out too.

Fern: I don’t care what you think. Yea. The whole hostage thing was an act to get a rise out of you. But even aside from that, turns out I’m the most valuable ally they could have.

Matthew: The most valuable ally? HA! So how many times have you beaten me? None. This will make it 6 and 0. You sure you want that on your record Fern?

Fern: Shut up! Fuck! You just get lucky! That’s all!

Matthew: Dude, you can’t keep using that lame ass excuse every time I beat you down.

Florinia:… Understood. This error shall be remedied at once.

Matthew: This is gonna be too fun.

Blake: Can’t wait to wipe that smile off your fucking face punk!

Fern: Bring it on Flobot. I ain’t afraid of you.

 

 

 

The battle started. Myself and Florinia against her brother and that cold hearted bitch Blake. I will admit that this battle was quite difficult despite having a Gym Leader as a partner. But despite the toughness, me and Florinia were able to come out victorious. Fern and Blake were obviously pissed off losing against the pair of us. But this also left our Pokemon quite tired. If we had to do another battle, we would surely be defeated.

 

Florinia: Regret is unnecessary. Contrarwise, your defeat is a marked success. Do consider what procedural mistakes you have committed and remedy them immediately.

Blake: Jeez. Your sister is a wordy bitch isn’t she?

Matthew: Maybe so but we beat the hell out of the 2 of you didn’t we?

Florinia: You should specifically quit your allegiance to this organization.

Solaris: I see. It appears as Matthew, as well as the Gym Leaders, remains as troublesome as ever. I still regret not eliminating this obstacle when I had the chance.

Fern: Are you really giving Matthew here credit? Please. Blame my sister. Look sis. I don’t know what you think you’re accomplishing there, but we’re changing the world. And in our New World, guess who’s gonna be at the top?

Matthew:… Blake?

Fern: Ye- Wait. What? No! Me you dumbass!

Blake: I beg to differ there you fuck up!

Fern: Whatever you say ice boy. Anyways, we could have done this together sis. But YOU threw that away! You didn’t even care about me! What if my life really had been in danger huh?

Matthew: -talking under my breath- I certainly wouldn’t have cared.

Fern: Some sister you are. You really are dead inside. You really are just a stupid robot now aren’t you?

Florinia: Incorrect.

 

As Fern continued to berate his sister about how she didn’t care about him or really about anyone or herself anymore and insulting her, I could feel as if she was doubting herself each time she denied it. I could also feel my stomach feeling really weird. Wehttam must have been severely angry at Fern for making Florinia feeling like that. As Fern was leaving the building, he told Solaris and Sirius that he didn’t have a sister anymore and to do what they wanted to her.

 

Solaris: Well… You heard the boy Sirius. Remove her.

Matthew: Wait. What?!

Sirius: Seviper, Poison Fang!

 

Before I could do anything, out popped Sirius’ Seviper and it launched its attack onto Florinia. She staggered backwards towards the wall and dropped down onto the floor, sitting, knocked out. I couldn’t believe what happened.

 

Matthew: Florinia! No!

Solairs: I will take care of Matthew now! Tyranitar! Superpower!

 

Tyranitar popped out of its PokeBall. I turned around looking at the monstrous beast. I knew I wouldn’t be able to dodge the attack in time. So I tried to defend myself as best I could. The Tyranitar clenched its fist and punched me right in the gut. Instantly, I could feel my ribs being cracked by the force of this punch. Now I knew how Amaria felt when this was done to her. I flew backwards towards the wall, smashed my head up against the wall and fell towards the ground, almost unconscious.

 

Solaris: Hmph. Still alive. This 1 is persistent.

Julia: Gah!

 

Out of nowhere, Julia was able to bust out of the room that Blake trapped her in. She was face to face with Blake. With a swift push, he was sent over the railing and onto the floor below. I was too hurt and disoriented to hear what he was saying but I was sure that it was all cursing. She looked over to me and Florinia’s fallen bodies and let out a terrifying scream. She ran over to us to make sure we were ok.

 

Julia: Flornia! Matthew! No… You did this!

Solaris: Well of course I did. We will eliminate everyone who threatens Team Meteors goal.

Julia: I… I won’t let you do that!

Solaris: Well what do you plan on doing? You are all by yourself and we outnumber you.

 

Julia looked at her challenge and then back to us. She knew she wouldn’t be able to defeat them but she didn’t want us hurt anymore. Back outside, Taka was watching everything that had just went down.

 

Luckily, besides Sirius, no Team Meteor Grunts were coming through the front entrance of the place. But Taka felt something. It wasn’t fear. It wasn’t sadness. It was rage. It was anger. His father had horribly hurt his only friend that he was able to make. He finally made his decision. He turned towards Stantler.

 

Taka: Listen Rudie, you stay here and keep guard just in case any Team Meteor Grunts try to go through the front door. I don’t think there will be but just keep an eye out alright.

Stantler: -nods its head understanding Taka-

Taka: I’m going in there to confront my dad… It needs to be done!

 

Taka walked up to the door and pushed it open. All of Team Meteor turned around and watched as Taka ran up the side of the wall and ran in front of his father. Solaris looked annoyed at his son being there.

 

Solaris: Taka… I see you’ve failed to detain Matthew back in the Water Treatment Center. You are a disgrace. Go to the helicopter and wait there. You will receive your punishment when we get back to our new base.

Taka:… No. I’m not taking orders from you anymore father.

Solaris: Excuse me? What did you just say?

Taka: I said I’m not taking orders from you anymore!

Solaris: What is this? How dare you defy orders from me! Obey my commands or-

Taka: No! I’m not apart of Team Meteor anymore!

 

Solaris staggered back a bit but then he regained his composure. He seemed surprised but not all the way surprised. He walked up closer to his son.

 

Solaris: So… It’s finally happened. You have not only betrayed Team Meteor but your own father. You are a useless, pathetic excuse for a son.

Taka: No. Being apart of Team Meteor… I never liked it. It wasn’t me. I hated doing what you ordered us to do. It wasn’t right. Still not right. But thanks to Matthew… I realized that I needed to get away. I didn’t even know if I was gonna fight against you or not but… you’ve made that very clear for me. You have given me my answer. You are now my enemy.

Solaris: Interesting. So my son betrays us and decides to join the helpless citizens of Reborn. I can’t believe you are related to me. You are a disappointment.

Taka: Maybe in your eyes but for the 1st time in my life, I made a choice for myself and… and I feel happy about it. I actually feel happy. I’m gonna make sure that Team Meteor fails in their goal!

Solaris: I see that you are serious about this. And you stand directly in front of that person. Matthew. It seems he actually was able to turn 1 of our own against us.

Taka: He convinced me that there’s better things to do than take orders from you and to be afraid of you. No longer am I afraid of you father!

Solaris: I see… I have a proposal for you. None of Team Meteor except I will interfere now. Battle me boy.

Taka: Battle… you?

Solaris: Yes. Battle me. Son VS Father. A Prodigy VS A Disappointment.

Taka: You son of a-

Solaris: I win, I take the bracelets and you. You win, we leave and you do whatever you want and keep the bracelets… for now.

Taka:… Fine. You got a deal.

Solaris: -chuckles- Foolish boy. You honestly expect to beat me? This person has put false trust into you. You will suffer like he’s suffering right now!

Taka: No. I will defeat you! I know I can!

Matthew: T… Taka…

Julia: Matt! Try to rest and don’t talk. You’re too hurt right now.

Matthew: Taka… Y-You got th… this dude… -officially falls unconscious-

Taka: Matt… Right. Julia, just make sure he and that other girl are alright. I’m gonna take care of this.

Julia: Ok… You can do this Taka!

 

 

 

Solaris and Taka grabbed their PokeBalls and threw them. The battle then started. The 2 seemed fairly even in strength. 1 didn’t seem to have overpowered the other. It was a hard fought battle and close but Taka was able to defeat his father in the battle. Taka seemed surprised that he was able to defeat his father but he did it. Solaris returned back his last Pokemon. He was obviously upset at the outcome of the battle.

 

Solaris: How could… Gah! You and that Chatot of yours infuriates me! Defeating my Garchomp… Ridiculous!

Taka: Nothing ridiculous about it. I’m just a better trainer than you.

Solaris: Why you-!

Taka: Now… Leave.

Solaris: You honestly expect us to leave?!

Team Meteor Grunt: -walks into the house and up to Solaris- Sir! The helicopter has been destroyed!

Solaris: It what?!

Julia: Onto victory we will zoom cus I made that thing go boom, boom, boom!

Taka: Nice job Julia.

 

Titania exited Amaria’s room. She saw Florinia’s and my unconscious bodies. She then looked over to Taka and was somewhat surprised to see him taking a stand against his father.

 

Titania: Well this is a surprising twist. I guess you’re not all that pathetic after all Taka.

Taka: Heh. Thanks.

Titania: Wanna smash some skulls together?

Taka: Yea. I think that’s a good idea.

Solaris: Damnit!… Sirius.

Sirius: Yes sir.

Solaris: This group has established a formidable defense. I do not believe we will be able to break past it. Therefore, let us inspire them to break it for us.

Taka: Break it for you? What do you-

Sirius: Chandelure! Come on out!

Chandelure: -screeches-

Sirius: Funny. This will be the 2nd house I’ve had burned down for the sake of these bracelets. Incinerate it.

Titania: Well unfortunately for you, this house has a built-in Water Gym. Excadrill! Use Fissure!

 

Excadrill popped out of its ball and did as it was told and broke a hole through the glass. The water poured out into the living room. Sirius, Solaris and some other Team Meteor Grunts swam out of the now living room pool. Solaris was infuriated and embarrassed at what had happened. Team Meteor was unable to get their hands on the bracelets and failed their mission.

 

Solaris: I hesitate to involve Lin, but I do not see another option.

Taka: -under his breath- Lin? No… No. Not her.

Solaris: Team Meteor will retreat… for today.

 

Solaris, Sirius and the rest of Team Meteor exited the house. We had won for the time being. When they all left, everyone gave their attention towards me and Florinia who were still unconscious from the direct attacks.

 

Julia: Are they gonna be ok?

Titania: Well I think Matt will be fine. If anything, he’s probably gonna be horribly sore for a long time but he’ll eventually heal. Florinia on the other hand… well she has a history of being more greatly affected by things than she needs to.

Julia: Would you stop it already!?

Titania: As soon as she does.

Julia: In case you didn’t notice, it’s NORMAL for people to be hurt when their friend blows up on them! She trusted you and you betrayed her!

Titania: Yea? Seems to be a recurring theme lately.

Amaria: Hey, what’s with all the yelling…?

 

Amaria walked out of her room and looked at the water water flowing into what used to be their living room.

 

After asking what had happened, Titania told her that they were redecorating which she liked apparently.

 

Amaria: Ohh wow! It looks great! I like it! Ohh. Who’s our guest here?

Taka: Me? I’m uhh… I’m Taka.

Amaria: Well hello there Taka. Umm… Who’s that and why is he sleeping on the floor?

 

This question had Taka and Titania puzzled. They knew that we had met before but now she was acting as if she had never met me before. Titania then started to ask her questions.

 

Titania: Amaria, do you know who I am?

Amaria: What are you saying…? Of course I know who you are. You’re the love of my life!

Titania:… Amy, what’s the last thing you remember before waking up?

Amaria: Why?

Titania: Just answer the question.

Amaria: Umm… Ohh! I was going to go over to Obsidia today and help Rini with that plant stuff down there.

Julia: Umm…

Titania: Move.

 

Julia moved out of the way and Titania went into the room that was previously blocked off by ice. Amaria seemed worried that she had somehow upset her.

 

Amaria: Is something… wrong?

Julia: Amy… that Obsidia incident was resolved a long time ago…

Taka: And I’m pretty sure you met Matthew during it.

Amaria: Wait. What?

Florinia: Post-traumatic retrograde amnesia.

Taka: Ahh! Holy- wow!

Julia: Florinia! You’re ok!

Florinia: I am functional, yes. Please disregard my sub-standard performance.

Amaria: Wait. You really think I have amnesia? But… I don’t understand. I thought I just went to sleep like normal…

Florinia: Titania reported that your personage had suffered injury.

Amaria: I don’t remember anything like that, but… I do have a splitting headache if that means anything?

Florinia: Traumatic brain injury may result in diffuse axonal injury and/or retrograde amnesia. It is a logical conclusion.

Amaria: So I just… forgot a bunch of things and people? Like Matthew?

Taka: It seems like it.

Amaria: I-I’m tired… Hey… I think I need some more sleep… Is that ok? When Matt wakes up, can you tell him I’m sorry? I’m just really… tired and confused… I’ll be up in a bit. -goes back into her room-

Florinia: I must depart as well.

Julia: Why?! Oh no! Don’t tell me you have retrogravy amnesty too!

Taka: Good try Julia but not exactly right.

Florinia: I will be attending to Calcenon City. I understand Team Meteor has established operations in Labradorra City. I hypothesize I will be most likely to encounter Fern there.

Taka: I saw that little interaction with that guy. The 1 that almost looks like you right? Why try to save him?

Florinia: He requires recorrection. Farewell.

 

Florinia then exited the house. Julia and Taka looked down at my body just lying on the floor. Although I was unconscious, I could still feel the pain in my stomach. Some of my ribs were definitely cracked. Julia then spoke up.

 

Julia: Hey Taka. Could you do me a favor?

Taka: I guess so.

Julia: Could you go check on Titania? I’m worried about her.

Taka: Yea. Sure.

 

Taka went into the room and Titania went into but when he got inside, he could see no 1 in there. With a busted open window, he guessed that she might have went outside through that. So he climbed out the window and he was right. Titania was outside leaned up against a rock face 1st. Taka slowly approached her.

 

Taka: Hey… You-

Titania: I am SO fucking tired of this! You know, it’s 1 thing that she found out about my facade and tried to off herself. But I was actually glad to have that shackle lifted off of me. I guess it’s not so bad Matt read my diary after all. But now everything… Everything we just went through has been completely voided by her losing her memory. And once again, I’m stuck.

Taka: I’m… I’m sorry. I don’t know what to say…

 

Titania started to beat up on the rock. Taka just stood there watching her. He didn’t know what would happen if he tried to stop her. She’d probably pummel him to death or something.

 

Taka: Are you gonna be ok Titania?

Titania: I don’t know man. I can’t keep living this lie, but I’m not about to let her kill herself twice.

Taka: What are you gonna do?

Titania: I’ll figure something out. In the meantime, I’m leaving. I’m taking the bracelets as far away from here as I can.

Taka: What? But then Team Meteor will be after you.

Titania: I know. If they want these so bad, they’ll have to come and get them. And believe me, they’ll regret it if they try.

Taka: Heh. I almost regretted coming here with you. Almost.

Titania: Heh… You’re alright Taka. Keep fighting against Team Meteor. You got this.

Taka: Thanks Titania.

Titania: Right. Time to go. Skarmory, let’s fly!

 

Skarmory popped out of the PokeBall. Titania hopped onto the metal bird and took off flying. Taka watched as she disappeared into the sky. When he couldn’t see her anymore, he went back inside and informed Julia of what happened.

 

Julia: So she took off huh?

Taka: Yea. I guess she doesn’t want Amaria to be in anymore trouble.

Julia: Well knowing her, she probably took the bracelets to her Gym in the desert.

Taka: Her Gym’s in the desert?

Julia: Yep! It’s a bizarre place but it’s fun too!

Taka: Well, good thing I know how to get there then, but… probably gonna wait til Matt wakes up. Which might be a while. I think I’ll take him back to the Agate Circus.

Julia: Why?

Taka: I just feel like it’d be better for us. It’s kind of awkward to be here right now.

Julia: I guess so. I’m gonna stay here to make sure Amaria is alright.

Taka: That’s probably a good idea.

Julia: Thanks… You know, I worry about all of them… But that’s why I gotta keep my spirits high! OTS, we’ll win the fight! Everything will be all right!

Taka: -chuckles- You know Julia, you’re a real good friend.

Julia: Thanks Taka.

 

The 2 shook each other’s hand. Taka proceeded to heave my body over his shoulder and carry me back over to Stantler outside. Taka put my unconscious body onto it and carried me back to the tent where I rested for the next couple of days.

Julia +1 (8/10) - She did a pretty good job of making sure me and Florinia was alright. And the fact that she pushed Blake down onto the floor below is funny as fuck. She still likes explosions though but why would I expect that to change?

 

Florinia +1 (8/10) - Me and her make a pretty good team. I'm sure Wettham wished it was him and her but this is the next best thing. I'm glad she's ok though after taking that attack from Seviper though. Although... She seemed to kind of change somehow after the whole emotionally dead argument with Fern. Hmm.

I felt myself feeling very relaxed and comfortable for some reason. I wasn’t so sure why though. A Tyranitar freaking punched me in the gut, causing me some great pain, sent me flying back against a glass wall, I bashed my head off of said glass wall and after fighting to stay conscious for a while, I finally passed out. But I laid there feeling ok and relaxed somehow. I opened my eyes and sat up. I was back. I was back in whatever setting Wehttam had planned for us to meet up in this time. I looked over and saw him standing in front of me. I stood up and looked around my surroundings.

 

Matthew: Heh. The place where I was knocked out. Makes sense.

Wehttam: Yeeeees. Welcome back here Matthew. It seems you have taken quite a beating in the world of the conscious.

Matthew: You can say that again. I’m kind of glad I’m dreaming right now. Whenever I wake up, I know my stomach is gonna be in fucking pain.

Wehttam: Very much so. But you shall survive. I have foreseen it!

Matthew: Well… that’ll be good at least. Wait… Shit! I’m unconscious! What’s happening?! Did we win?!

Wehttam: Please sir. You are only working yourself up. Calm down. You have nothing to fear. Your friend was able to take care of that Solaris fellow.

Matthew: So Taka was able to defeat his dad… Good. I’m proud of him. It’ll build some confidence in him.

Wehttam: Indeed. If I may say, you seem to have taken an interesting liking to this young man.

Matthew: I just feel bad for him. I mean I’m not doing this out of pity. He deserves a true friend and I think I’m that person to be his friend.

Wehttam: Ahh. I see. That is a worthy thing to give someone. But… I do have to tell you something.

Matthew: What is it?

Wehttam: I would advise that you watch over your dear friend throughout your adventure now.

Matthew: Why? Is something bad gonna happen to him?

Wehttam: I am not sure. The only thing I know is that there is a possibility of something horrible happening to him.

Matthew: Damn… Well thank you for telling me that.

Wehttam: But of course vessel!

Matthew: Jeez. I don’t remember anything after telling Taka he could defeat his father though. Can you tell me what happened afterwards?

Wehttam: I could but I shall not.

Matthew: Umm… Why?

Wehttam: I believe it would be better if Taka was the 1 who told you. It is only fair I believe.

Matthew: Yea. I suppose that’s true. Ohh yea. I’ve been meaning to ask you this… Are you ok?

Wehttam: Why, whatever do you mean? I am fine!

Matthew: Well I mean… when Florinia got attacked by that Seviper, my stomach felt-

 

Before I could finish my sentence, Wehttam’s eye opened up fully and stared at me. I thought at any moment I would feel some kind of lasers going through my skull with how he was staring at me. I slowly backed up putting my hands up.

 

Matthew: Ok. Whoa. I’m the friend here. You know that right?

Wehttam: Florinia… That beautiful specimen of a creature… How dare that swine called Sirius injure her in any way!

Matthew: I get that you’re mad but just calm down.

Wehttam: He should be punished for this!

Matthew: Hey hey. He will. Trust me. I didn’t like the fact that he did that too. We’ll get him back for hurting Florinia.

Wehttam: -starting to calm down- Y… Yes… Yes you’re right master Matthew… I apologize for my moment of rage.

Matthew: Hey. It’s cool. I get why you were angry about that. Someone hurt the girl that you like.

Wehttam: Ahh. Even now, just thinking about her, the insides of my current body feel so light. I feel as if I had swallowed 100 Butterfrees and they’re flying around in my organ as you call a stomach.

Matthew: That’s… Yea. But wow. Your feelings for her have certainly increased since last time we’ve seen her.

Wehttam: Yes. It has been far too long. I hope we have the chance of meeting her once again very soon. YeEeEeEeEeEeEs.

Matthew: I’m sure we will. I think she’s… Actually, I don’t know what she’s doing. In fact, I don’t know what anyone’s doing. I wish I’d wake up already.

Wehttam: Ahh yes. About that. Right now, we are on Day 3 of you being unconscious.

Matthew: Wait… Day 3? I’ve been knocked out for 3 days!?

Wehttam: Yes.

Matthew: But… But I came here as soon as I fell unconscious!

Wehttam: You are correct. This conversation has been going on ever since.

Matthew: So you’re telling me we’ve been talking for 3 days already?!

Wehttam: Correct. This conversation will continue until you are ready to wake up to go back to reality.

Matthew: Any idea when that’ll be?

Wehttam: Very soon. Shouldn’t be that much longer in fact.

Matthew: Well that’s good to hear…

Wehttam: Very much so my lord.

Matthew: Anything else you wanna tell me?

Wehttam: Hmm… Taka will be filling you in on the events that went down before you were knocked out. You already know about your ribs being cracked. I suppose the only thing I can tell you is that when you wake up, you will have a splitting headache which will last for at least a full day. Your ribs? I cannot tell you how long they will hurt for.

Matthew: Why not?

Wehttam: I literally don’t know when they will feel better.

Matthew: Ohh…

Wehttam: But, in all of those bad moments, you will have a very happy moment. After your battle against Ciel for her Gym Badge, you and Taka shall head back to Reborn City and… well, you’ll find out.

Matthew: Hmm. Well I’m looking forward to that now.

Wehttam: I’m sure you are. Ahh. The time grows nearer for you to awaken from your slumber of pain.

Matthew: Alright. Thanks for telling me some of this stuff Wehttam. I kind of missed this. Although, I do wish we were meeting in better situations.

Wehttam: I agree my friend. Do have a good trip back to the land of the AWOKEN! YeEeEeEeEeEeEs!

Matthew: Later dude.

 

I laid back down on the ground and drifted back off to sleep. I couldn’t wait to find out what had happened as I was unconscious and with Taka taking control. Although, I was hoping that the pain wouldn’t come begin as soon as I woke up.

Taka: Matthew! Are you awake?!

 

I was starting to come around to the world of reality. I began to move around but as soon as I did, I could feel an immense pain in my stomach. My cracked ribs were rubbing up against each other with any move I took. It was the worst feeling I ever felt in my entire life. My head was also in pain. A really bad headache. Despite the incredible pain I was feeling, I pushed myself to sit upright. I looked over to Taka who seemed worried about my condition.

 

Taka: Holy… You’re awake! I’m so glad!

Matthew: Me too… Although- Ugh! M-Maybe sleeping would still be better c-considering… -takes a deep breath to try to keep the pain down- This sucks… Hehe.

Taka: You should try to take it easy for a while. Your ribs are cracked.

Matthew: And I got a splitting headache.

Taka: That’s no surprise. The back of your head hit the glass wall when you flew back from that attack from Tyranitar.

Matthew: Yea… Hey. What happened after I lost consciousness?

Taka: I beat my father and then Titania flooded her house to get them to go away but Amaria…

Matthew: I-Is she ok?

Taka: I mean she seems fine but… she seems to have gotten amnesia.

Matthew: Amnesia?

Taka: Yea. She doesn’t know you and she thought that the plant life from Obsidia was still going on.

Matthew: Urgh… Fuck… Wait. What about Florinia?

Taka: She’s fine too. She went up to Calcenon to see if she can try to get her brother to get away from Team Meteor.

Matthew: I don’t- Ow! Fuck this pain! I don’t think that’s gonna work but… she’s showing she cares.

Taka: Yea. Btw, you were talking in your sleep.

Matthew: I was huh? Not shocking… Ugh…

Taka: Who’s Wehttam?

Matthew: Hehe… I guess I should explain this to you now.

 

I started to explain to him who Wehttam was and actually Mattam. He seemed very shocked that I had another soul inside of me and how he could take over my body anytime I was scared. He seemed to remember about Mattam though. At least somewhat. I did 1st become Mattam when I was on Pyrous Mountain and he was there to witness it. It’s probably the only reason why he didn’t think I was crazy when I got done explaining everything to him.

 

Taka: Wow… Another soul is inside of you… This is nuts!

Matthew: Yea… Not a lot of people know about it.

Taka: Yea. They’d probably think you’d be crazy if that was the case.

Matthew: That’s why I only tell a few people I trust… or to people who see him take over my body. It’s- Urgh! It’s usually the s-second option.

Taka: Makes sense.

Matthew: Hey. W-Wait. We’re back at the circus tent?

Taka: Yea. I thought this would be a good place to take you.

Matthew: Kind of surprised you… you know about this p-place.

Taka: Well I used to come here often as a kid but that was a long time ago…

 

At that time, Samson came into the room. He seemed happy and relived to see me awake and conscious.

 

Samson: It’s good to see you up dude. Although, I’m sure you’re in a lot of pain.

Matthew: You can say that again.

Samson: We had our doctors take a look at you when your buddy here brought you here. Definitely got some cracked ribs and a head wound. I’m surprised you’re still not out. It’s been 5 days.

Matthew: I-I’ve been out for 5 days? Urgh.

Samson: Yep. And… we know about your buddy here too.

Matthew: Wha-What do you mean?

Taka: I told them about my involvement with Team Meteor.

Matthew: Ohh shit.

Samson: Hey hey. You don’t have to worry about it man. We trust him. He brought you all the way here so you’d be safe. I’d say that’s a good sign he’s done with that dumbass group.

Matthew: Well… I’m just glad that… nothing bad happened.

Samson: Ohh yea. It’s weird but we can’t seem to find Terra anywhere inside the computer.

Taka: You know, if this were anyone else, I’d find that super weird but since Matthew’s involved, it sounds totally normal.

Matthew: How can you not find h-her? Could she have gotten out?

Samson: I’m not sure. I hope not.

Taka: She was a weird 1. But I’m surprised she knew how to be a wiz on the computer.

Samson: Can you tell us anything else about her?

Taka: Except for that she’s crazy, that’s all I really got. I tried not to be around too much when she was there with us.

Samson: Well that’s a bummer.

 

Ciel came into the room. Just like with Samson before, she seemed happy and relieved to see that I was at least awake and conscious.

 

Ciel: Ohh thank heavens you’re alright.

Matthew: Well I don’t know a-about alright… But I’m alive.

Ciel: I’m sure Samson here has already told you but we haven’t been able to find our friend at all.

Samson: At this point, I don’t know if I would call her a friend.

Ciel: I’m implying that you might have outright deleted her! And you know what that would mean?! We’d go back to being the Agate Ace Doublet!

Taka: Don’t you guys have a Ground Reserve Gym Leader?

Ciel: Yes but we don’t know about Terra’s current status.

Samson: Hey hey. You don’t have to freak out. I actually got a better name for the us. The Agate Ace Couple.

Ciel: Please. That didn’t work out for you before. What makes you think it’ll work now?

Samson: My rugged good looks and dazzling charm.

Ciel:… Right. Figure out how to un-delete Terra and then we’ll talk. Sound good?

Samson: Hmm. It’s a steep price. Finally been able to get some decent sleep since she’s been gone.

Ciel: Ohh! You were that busy with her huh? And you have the nerve to ask me out right after she vanishes… Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Taka: Umm… Guys?

Matthew: No offense but… do we really have to hear anymore?

Ciel: My apologies! I forget we had other guests in the room. But I’m glad you’re up and… well I’m glad you’re up Matthew.

 

The Ringmaster then walked into the room. She seemed anxious for some reason. But when she saw that I was sitting up and awake, she seemed to be calmed down for a bit.

 

Ringmaster: Well I’m glad you’re finally awake. Been giving us a scare for the past couple of days with you unconscious like that.

Matthew: Heh. Sorry about that… Next time, I’ll try to land somewhere s-softer.

Ringmaster: So, any luck yet?

Samson: Nope.

Ringmaster: That’s too bad… Although the number of on site injuries has really dropped since she’s been gone.

Taka: Doesn’t shock me in the least.

Ciel: So… what now?

Matthew: W-Well… we could have that Gym Battle now C-Ciel. Hehe- Ow! Fuck this hurts.

 

Everyone looked at me as if I was crazy. I didn’t know what I said that could make them look at me like that.

 

Matthew: Did I… say something wrong?

Ringmaster: I’m pretty sure we’re just shocked that you want to have a Gym Battle so soon just after you woke up from being unconscious.

Matthew: Ohh. That’s it? I still gotta collect the b-badges. The sooner the better.

Ciel: Well… I mean if you want to. But won’t it hurt to be moving around so much?

Matthew: Probably. And I probably won’t be able to think straight with this fucking headache. But I think it’s time for another Gym Battle.

Samson: You are 1 tough son of a bitch Matthew. I wouldn’t be able to do that.

Ciel: To be honest, I’ve been looking forward to it. Just wish the conditions were a bit better.

Ringmaster: Your last performance was a stellar success but I do hope you have a Battle Pass for her.

Matthew: Uhh…

Ciel: Ohh yes. You do have 1 right Matthew?

Matthew: I kind of uhh… Huh?

 

I saw in Ciel’s hand a card. It looked like she was signaling for me to take it. I tried to make it look like I wasn’t reaching for something but with my grunts of pain, it was obvious with what was happening. Ciel then turned around towards me.

 

Ciel: Ahh! Here it is! He must have not known where it was since he’s in a bad condition! We’re good now!

Ringmaster:… Then I’ll make the preparations now. -leaves the room-

Ciel: Call that an investment in my career.

Taka: Won’t you get in trouble for that?

Ciel: Hopefully not but even if I do, it won’t be anything bad.

Matthew: Sorry I couldn’t make it look more smooth. Heh.

Ciel: It’s ok. I figured it wouldn’t have went through smoothly anyways.

 

Rudie came up to me and nuzzled my face and started to lick my face. I could immediately tell what it wanted from me.

 

Matthew: S-So you wanna battle too huh Rudie?

Stantler: -shakes its head yes-

Ciel: Wait. Don’t you already have 6 Pokemon in your Pokeballs? How are you able to have 7?

Taka: Well Matt never caught this Stantler. Just rides around on it.

Ciel: So it’s a wild Stantler?

Matthew: Yea. What’s wrong with that? I already used it in my Gym Match with Terra.

Ciel: That whole thing was nuts. You do realize it’s against the rules to battle with an unowned Pokemon right?

Matthew: I didn’t actually.

Ciel: Well if you wanna use this Stantler in the battle, you must catch it and then you’ll be able to use it. Otherwise, it can’t be used. We chose to overlook the battle with Terra because of the whole she’s a Team Meteor member and all of that. But I’ll meet you out there Matthew. -leaves the area-

Samson: I think I’m gonna go out there and watch. This should be entertaining. Good luck out there man! -leaves the room-

Taka: Well… what are you gonna do?

 

I looked at 1 of the extra PokeBalls I had and then back at Stantler. I did actually want to catch it but if it didn’t want to be caught, I wasn’t going to go against its wishes. Surprisingly though, it came up to me and touched the PokeBall and instantly went into it. Taka and I were both surprised.

 

Matthew: Well… looks like I got my answer.

Taka: Yea. It’s cool you got a new forever friend with you now.

Matthew: Yea. It is. Ugh. I think I’m gonna go to the computer and deposit 1 of my Pokemon now.

 

Taka helped me up off of the couch. With each step I took, I could feel my cracked ribs rub up against each other which hurt like fucking hell but I was determined to do it. When I made it over to the PC, I logged on and deposited my Decidueye since it would be at a disadvantage in this Gym Battle. Taka then told me he’d stand outside the room and watch the battle from outside the room and then left. Before I went out, I painfully walked over to the computer and pushed the call button to see if Ame could give me some info about battling Ciel.

 

Ame: Hey Matthew. How are you doing?

Matthew: As good as I can be right now.

Ame: Ciel called me the night you made it there. I’m sorry for what happened to you.

Matthew: It’s… It’s ok. But hey. Give me some info about Ciel?

Ame: Wait. You’re gonna have a Gym Battle in the condition you’re in?

Matthew: Yep.

Ame: You’re crazy Matt. -chuckles- I guess I won’t be able to change your mind right?

Matthew: Most definitely not.

Ame: Alright. I’m sure you’re already familiar with the field you’re fighting on. So remember everything about what happened when you had your Gym Battle against Samson. But Ciel is the opposite of him. Instead of all out offensive, she’s more defensive. Her Pokemon are more bulky set ups. So it’s harder to knock them out. With her being a performer at heart, it shows in her battles. She prefers to use dancing and sound based moves. And being in an arena, it’s the perfect place for those things to get her going. Try to knock her down before she sets up.

Matthew: Alright. I think I can do that. Thanks for the info Ame.

Ame: No problem. Good luck Matthew. And get better soon too.

 

With that, the screen went black. I psyched myself up as much as I could and slowly walked out on the arena. Ciel was on the other side as the Ringmaster was in the center about to give the Gym Battle announcement.

 

Ringmaster: Ladies aaannnd gentlemen! Your attention please to an exciting exclusive challenge to the esteemed Agate Ace Triumvirate Leaders! Today, in the left corner, we have a returning challenger to Agate and may I just say, he is seriously hurt and in pain but is willing to go through with this fight… Matthew!

 

I waved as much as I could before I started to feel in real pain. I hunched over but I gave Ciel a half smirk, letting her know that even though I was still messed up, I wasn’t gonna be easy to battle against.

 

Ringmaster: And in the right corner! You’ve seen her prancing through the stage! And not just the stage! The very air itself! Dancing through the skies and hearts the same… She is Agate Circus’ very own spotlit starlet… Ciel!!!

Ciel: Thank you, thank you! You are too kind, my fans! And too generous!

Ringmaster: This will be a 6-on-6 Singles Battle! Let us see how our performers dazzle us today!

Matthew: I guess it’s time Ciel! Agh!

Ciel: I don’t intend to disappoint and I expect the same of you Matthew! I want to see your very best! This is your moment! So show me what you can do!

Matthew: Yea! Let’s- Ohh fuck! Let’s… Let’s give ‘em a show!

 

 

The battle started and we each threw out our PokeBalls. I’ll admit, it was a pretty difficult battle. With my mind racing all over to what move she was gonna do, what move I should use, if my Pokemon could take the move, my cracked ribs and the headache, I couldn’t totally concentrate. Ciel was definitely a capable battler. As she commanded her Pokemon, it was as if she was flying through the air with her Pokemon. It was magnificent! But by the end, it scraped by with the win. I yelled out in a happy scream of victory but I fell to my knees when my ribs started to hurt immensely from that.

 

Matthew: O-Oh fuck. That fucking hurts. Gotta remember I shouldn’t do that for a while yet. Hehe…

Ringmaster: There it is! Matthew seizes victory this time!

Ciel: And I don’t regret it in the least. Good show Matthew! Good show!

Matthew: Y-You too Ciel.

Ringmaster: And as a prize for winning, Matthew gets the Suspension Badge! -throws the badge to Matt-

Matthew: -catches it- D-Did you really have to throw it with me being how… how I am right now?

Ringmaster: Ohh yea… Sorry.

Matthew: It’s fine. A new badge. Only a few more and I’ll be able to enter the… R-Reborn League.

Ringmaster: And for those of you anxious for their moment with Ciel… Find those Battle Passes! Thanks for coming everyone!

 

The show ended and the Ringmaster and Ciel helped me back into the back room. Taka and Samson congratulated me on such a great battle I had with Ciel.

 

Taka: That was amazing!

Samson: Despite what you’re going through, you pulled out a win of your ass. You are the man!

Ringmaster: Indeed! That was very well done, both of you!

Matthew: Thanks you guys.

Ciel: Naturally.~

Ringmaster: BUT! No more stunts like that in the future, Ciel.

Ciel: Who? Me? I haven’t the clue what you might be referring to.

Ringmaster: The only reason I went along with it is because we ARE short on performances with Terra gone.

Matthew: Well, guess this- Agh! Ow shit! This worked out for everyone.

Ciel: Thank you for your benevolence and mercy, young master.~

Ringmaster: “Young master”? Go back to sassing each other. I’ve got a closing ceremony to do! -leaves the area-

Matthew: -painfully chuckles-

Taka: What’s funny?

Matthew: It reminded me the time I 1st came to Reborn. I met Cain and he c-called Ame master.

Taka: -chcukles- Ohh.

Samson: Well Matt, I hope you have more luck in your future Gym Battles. I think I’m gonna blow some steam. Peace. -leaves the room-

Ciel: Well Matt, Taka, I suppose you 2 have business too don’t you?

Taka: I don’t know if going back to Reborn City is business but hearing how it’s been changed lately really makes me excited to go there.

Matthew: Me too.

Ciel: I can only imagine. You know… it’s been silent here lately. But I suppose it’s to be expected. What is it they say? It’s lonely at the top.

Matthew: C-Ciel?

Ciel: Taka, Matthew… Wherever you 2 go, best of luck.

 

Ciel turned around and went to go sit on the couch. Take and I were confused as to why she seemed so down but we figured it was best to not bother her about it. Instead we made it outside and started our walk back near to the waterfall area. Well, I actually rode on Stantler while Taka walked alongside. Although it still hurt moving, it was better than walking all the way there. When we got there, I got off Stantler and returned it to its PokeBall.

 

Taka: So what are we doing here?

Matthew: W-We both don’t have Pokemon that can learn Fly right?

Taka: You’re right.

Matthew: But we both have a Gliscor and they can glide.

Taka: Ok. I think I see what you’re getting at.

Matthew: Look down there. You see that big door?

Taka: Yea I do. That’s huge!

Matthew: That’s the Grand Gate. It’s open.

Taka: Ohh yea. El told us about that when he joined us. Never thought I’d see the day those would be open.

Matthew: Heh. Yea. N-Now bring out your Gliscor.

Taka: Alright. Come on out Gliscor!

 

His Gliscor, along with mine, popped out of their PokeBalls and landed in front of us. Taka climbed onto his easily but I had some trouble with mine thanks to my injuries. It took a while but I was able to get on it but Taka was a bit worried.

 

Taka: Are you sure we shouldn’t wait til you’re a bit better? I mean what if you lose your grip and you fall off?

Matthew: I’ll-I’ll… be fine dude. Trust me.

Taka: I hope so. So we ready?

Matthew: Pretty much. Now TongueClumsy, glide us down to that big gate door at the bottom of this mountain.

Taka: You too Gliscor! Follow their lead!

Hey everyone! Been a while since I posted anything here. So I got a special announcement. I'm gonna try to do a 4 part Christmas Special of this series At least I'm gonna aim for 4. Might be 3. Definitely not lower than 3 though. But it's gonna be more of an alternate timeline thing. I'll explain more once the stories are under way but I thought you should all know. And I'm aiming to do at least 1 a week.

The 2 of them looked at me in disbelief. To be honest, I was kind of shocked with myself that I told those 2 to shut up but I needed to tell them about Terra. So their possible hurt feelings could wait until after I delivered the news.

 

Ciel: I’m… I…

Samson: Was not expecting that but sure. Say what you need to say.

Matthew: It’s about Terra.

Ciel: Oh yes. I see that battle pass you have there. She’s not here unfortunately.

Matthew: Oh my-

Samson: It’s weird though. She;s been disappearing for days at a time for a while now.

Matthew: Yes yes! I know!

Ciel: But the question that remains is just to where has she been vanishing to.

Ciel: Not a lot of options and we can safely rule out Agate and beyond thanks to the sleeping spell.

Samson: Actually wait. Hold on. Matt, didn’t Terra find you and that other guy in Agate?

Samson: She shouldn’t have been able to stay awake if she was in there.

 

I thought about it for a moment. I just thought that she was so psychotically crazy, that she was able to just stay awake from the whole thing. But now that I knew the truth about her, I was mad at myself for not getting that sooner. But of course, Ciel believed what I believed before. The 2 continued to bicker back and forth until I couldn’t take it anymore.

 

Matthew: Alright. Seriously. Both of you shut up. Terra is a member of Team Meteor.

Ciel: I’m sorry. What?

Matthew: It’s true. Some Meteor people were up in Ametrine and when me and some of my friends got done trouncing them, 1 of them informed me of Terra’s involvement in their affairs.

Samson: How would he-

Matthew: He used to be with them but then split up because it wasn’t right.

Ciel: Terra? Being in Team Meteor? Matthew, I’m sorry but you must be mistaken. I mean her? In that team? They’d have to be nuts to do a thing like that.

Samson: Well… it doesn’t seem that impossible. For instance-

Terra: HUNNIEZ, I’M HOME! LIKE I WAS IN ALABAMA!~

 

Terra came spinning into the room and kissed Ciel on the lips. It was an awkward moment for everyone that wasn’t her.

 

Terra: WHAT ARE Y’ALL PEEPZ TALKINZ ABOOTY?!

Samson: Just discussing of the possibility of you being a member of Team Meteor.

Terra: U wot mate?… LEWL THAT’S THE BEST THING I’VE HEARD ALL OF THIRTY SECONDS!

Ciel: So it’s not true right?

Terra: RAWWWR!!!! uhh what wuz we talking about again? Lol.

Ciel: You being a Team Meteor member. It’s not true right?

The 3 of us walked over to Terra and were kind of amazed she would just admit something like that but then again, this was Terra we were talking about.

 

She seemed to be more happy about the fact that we were “checking her out.” She started to sing a song about her humps. When asked why she joined, she gave some kind of story that was literally right out of a comic book.

 

Terra: Aww bitchtits. I been found out. But das ok cus they’ll NEVER find me here!

Matthew: Uhh… What are you talking about?

Samson: What exactly are you doing?

Terra: Asll right. Les do dis. MEGA TERRA, JACK OFF! EXECUTE!

 

Terra pressed some buttons on her computer and was gone after some flashes of lights stopped going off. We were all stunned at what we just witnessed. Although I couldn’t tell if we were stunned at her being teleported somewhere else or that she had the brain power to actually construct something to transport her somewhere else.

 

Matthew: Uhh… I think I speak for everyone when I say THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!

Samson: Please tell me she didn’t just escape into that big ass computer.

Ciel: Ok. She didn’t escape through that computer.

Samson: Thank you. -goes over to the computer and checks a few things out on there- Looks like it’s waiting for a “Player 2.”

 

Matthew: I’m gonna go in.

Samson: I was gonna suggest that anyways. No way in hell I’d go follow her in… there… Wherever “there” is.

Matthew: Wait… Hold on. I think I’m gonna talk to Ame 1st. Something tells me I’m gonna be battling her and I wanna know as much stuff as possible before that happens.

Samson: Go for it man.

 

I went over to the monitor they had in the Big Top and pressed the button. Ame’s face popped up but she wasn’t smiling like she usually was.

 

Matthew: Hey Ame. Are you ok?

Ame: I heard from Cal about what’s going on?

Matthew: So then you know about Terra being with Team Meteor?

Ame: Yea. I never imagined her being with them. But I suppose on a bright side, I never liked her much. So whatever.

Matthew: I suppose 1 could look at it like that. Anyways, she just somehow transported herself into the computer and something tells me I’m gonna have to battle her in it.

Ame: Say no more. I’ll patch into her computer and give you the info on the field she’ll be battling on.

 

Ame started clicking away on her keyboard trying to find any information on what field the battle would be on. But when she found it, she seemed puzzled by it.

 

Matthew: What is it?

Ame: The results are… strange. It looks like the computer environment is set up to simulate an old video game.

Matthew: An old video game?

Ame: Yes. In this game, attacks are physical or special based on what type they are.

Matthew: That’s so… odd.

Ame: Plus the Special Attack and Special Defense stats are treated as a single value. It looks like it works off of whichever stat is higher. And the last thing I can find about the field is that the Dark, Steel and Fairy types seem to have been erased.

Matthew: That’s… insane.

Ame: But it sounds familiar right?

Matthew: For some reason, yes.

Ame: Well keep those in mind when you’re in there. I know you can do what’s necessary.

Matthew: Alright. Well thanks for the info Ame and-

Ame: Hold on! There’s something else.

Matthew: I thought you already told me the last thing about the field?

Ame: I did but this has to do with a program she has running on her computer. Apparently, it’s some kind of singing programmer and whoever is in there will have to sing aloud a song that comes to mind connected to how they feel at that current moment.

Matthew: I… Are you serious?

Ame: Yes. It won’t happen all the time but you will do it a couple of times while you’re in there.

Matthew: Alright. I guess I’m gonna have to get my vocal cords in shape then huh?

Ame: I guess so. Anyways, good luck with all of that!

 

The monitor screen turned black. I looked down and then back up to the giant computer. I was going to have to sing whatever comes to mind connected to how I’m feeling at the moment? Why in the world would Terra include a program like that? I didn’t have time to think about that though. I walked up to Samson.

 

Samson: So… singing huh?

Matthew: Apparently. This is so weird.

Ciel: Do be careful Matthew. We’ll watch everything from here while you’re in there.

Matthew: Ohh great. I’m gonna have an audience. Great.

Samson: It could be worse. You could be prancing around in a thong.

Matthew: I’m concerned at why that would be the 1st thing to pop into your mind.

Samson: Yea. Me too… Alright. Stand still. All I should need to do is this and…

Matthew: Wait! Come over here Rudie!

 

Stantler came close to me. I then had Samson hit the button. The lights started to flash again but when they stopped, Stantler and I were somewhere completely different.

 

We could see someone up ahead but they looked really different. Really pixelated too. When I tried to walk up passed him, he stopped me and asked to see the badge for Julia’s Gym. I slowly pulled out the Badge and showed it to him and he allowed me to continue through. The same thing happened 3 more times when I went to the next area. But as the 4th person was telling me to go on through, Terra came from out of nowhere and tried crushing me under her giant mallet. Luckily, I was able to jump back in time to avoid the hit.

 

When she lifted up her hammer though, the ground looked weird. As if some kind of error happened, the ground, or in this case I suppose tiles, looked like random things.

 

Terra: Aww boobiecakes. I missed.

Matthew: Now you’re trying to murder me Terra? Every time I see you, you keep surprising me Terra.

Terra: HAHAHAHAHA RAWWWWRRRRRRR!!!!!!! Hashtag wut, hashtag ever. IMMA POUND YOU NEXT TIME AND IT’S GONNA BE HARD!

Matthew: Don’t you dare do a-

Terra: Winky. Face.

Matthew: Ok… Not what I was expecting but it still counts! You’re so annoying!

Terra: RAWR!!!!

 

Terra smashed up some more of the tiles of the place. It looked more messed up than ever. If this did act like a regular video game, then I might not be able to proceed through.

 

Terra: Heh. YOU’LL NEVER CATCH ME NOW SUCKA! PHYSICS, AWAYYYYYY!!!!!

 

With 1 big mighty hit to the ground with her giant mallet, Terra was propelled to the air and disappeared. I could get to, what looked to be, water. I walked through the mess that Terra made and found a ladder going down. When I reached the bottom, I was in a cave. As I explored through it, people kept battling but what they said before was making no sense. It was as if there were lots of Terras around but with different bodies and faces. While I was trying to find a way out of the cave, I was wondering when the song aspect of the program she was running in this would happen. I found a way to get out of the cave but when I got to the next place, I was shocked. It looked like the Grand Hall but all in pixels.

 

But as I looked at the place, I started to hear music. I didn’t know where it was coming from but I could hear it. And then I started singing.

 

 

 

If anyone were to here me singing this, it would sound like a rock version of a break up love song and at 1st, I thought that’s what this was. But then I thought about it. It did suck that Laura broke up with me. But… I wasn’t all that sad about it. At 1st I was but then all of this crazy stuff started to happen. Now, I was pretty much alright with it. So what was I really singing this song for? It was because I didn’t know if everything I was doing to try to help Reborn was actually doing anything. I did love my adventure here but is my involvement really helping or would it all have been better without me? I mean there were multiple deaths. Corey, Kiki, Eclipse and many of innocent people. I guess deep down inside me, I was feeling like this. It was weird. Soon, I was finished singing the song. I felt weird. Not because of singing but because I felt like that and I didn’t even know. I tried getting over it by battling the “trainers” in the area but now I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I finally reached to the next area and it weirdly represented Team Rocket’s hideout in the Game Corner in Celadon City. I remember watching the news when they explored this place. Why Team Rocket put spinning tiles on the floor, I have no idea. After getting through that place, I landed in Lavender Town. This place felt weird even in pixelated form so I tried to get to the next are as soon as possible. This place was familiar. It was another pixelated place I visited here in the Reborn Region. Byxbysion Wasteland.

 

Weirdly enough, I would prefer this over the real 1 because this 1 didn’t seem to have all that toxic good all over the place. When I got to the next area, I had no idea where I was. I aimlessly looked for a way to get to another place. I walked upstairs and found a diary of some sort on a table. I remember what happened last time I read a diary. But then again, I technically wasn’t even in the real world anymore. I was inside a computer. I decided to read it.

 

Matthew: “hee hee! This is fun! i can see everything from here! and i can make everybody play with me! it’s all thanks to baby arceus!” Wait a minute. She’s religious too? Great. We got a psychotic version of El. Ugh. “i’m going to make sure i repay him by setting him free! then we can all live in the new world together and have lots of fun forever and ever!” This is the most messed up thing I’ve read. Only because it’s Terra saying all of this. I gotta find her and quick.

 

I walked back downstairs and continued to look for another way to anywhere else. After searching for a while, I finally found a way out but when I came to the next area, it was another place I had been to but just pixelated. It was the place where Arceus apparently was at.

 

Once again, I could hear music which means I would probably be singing again. This 1 made sense to me.

 

 

 

Since I became aware of Wehttam, I’ve been feeling like a lot of people think I’m crazy or something. I mean Cain, Laura and some other people know because they’ve seen the transformation. But other people like El or Bennett or Sirius just thinks I’m crazy and probably other people too. And to me? That just wasn’t right. Wasn’t fair. Even if I was, I haven’t done anything harmful. But even if people did or do think I’m crazy and even if it may not be fair, it’s ok. I know what’s true and so do my true friends. That’s all that matters. The song ended as did my singing. I felt somewhat better about myself somehow from it. I looked over to Stantler and pet its head. It licked my cheek. We both smiled and went on our way. The next area kind of reminded me of the Grand Gates but different. There were just a lot of gears in there. Caves there led to another cave. I was getting tired of all of these areas. I just wanted to get to Terra and then out of here. I followed the cave until I reached a very unexpected surprise.

 

Matthew: Is… Is that… Mewtwo?

Mewtwo: MEW!

 

The battle begun but believe it or not, I had gotten beat 5 times. The 6th battle I was finally able to defeat it.

 

 

 

I was extremely frustrated that it took me that long to defeat Mewtwo. I then started to hear music but something happened this time. I got transported to somewhere. It looked like the floor of the Onyx School but that was it. I started to sing.

 

 

After I stopped singing, I, as well as Stantler, warped to another place. We ran as fast as we could through to the next room and finally, standing right there, was Terra. I walked up to her with a smiling grin on my face.

 

Matthew: About god damn time! You-

Terra: AH! I HEARD ABOUT YOU MATTHEW!

Matthew: Arceus fucking- Ugh!

Terra: I AM TERRA! THEY CALL ME THE CIEL TAMER! AND I HAD THAT BITCH ON HER KNEES! COVERED IN KETCHUP.

Matthew: What in the blue fucking hell are you talking about?

Terra: Lookie here Mr. Bootylicious man. I ain’t about that dramatic speech life. But I have to tell you a lil’ somethin’.

Matthew: I don’t know I’m doing this but what do you have to say?

Terra: IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO. IN A GALAXY NOT VERY FAR AWAY AT ALL. IN FACT IT WAS THIS 1. THIS GALAXY. RIGHT HERE. THE MILKY TIT. AND SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENED. I got bored.

Matthew: You? Being bored?

Terra: Sooo I was like aww yeaaa. Let’s cause some ANARCHY!

Matthew: Soo… You joined Team Meteor to cause anarchy?

Terra: FUCK NO! I joined cuzzzz chaos… is like sex. Hot. Steamy. Rawrsex. And Holy bootyness. Them Meteors be good in bed.

Matthew: Oh my god. No. I don’t want to here about your fucking sex life.

Terra: Ohh yea. BB. You have kik?

Matthew: What? No! Fuck sake!

Terra: Too bad. CUS IMMA KIK YOUR ASS!

Matthew: Alright. You know what? That’s it! I’ve had it with you! You are a demented little fucking shit and you deserved to be erased out of existence!

Terra: I-

MATTHEW: NO! NO MORE TALKING FROM YOU! IT’S MY TIME TO TALK! You have made me feel things that I didn’t know I was feeling until I came into this computer! Which, by the way, however the fuck you did that, I’m amazed with! You defy physics! And I can’t believe that I didn’t catch on sooner that you were apart of Team Meteor! But I’m getting off track! You made me feel things that maybe I didn’t want things to surface up! Things like me not thinking that I’m making a difference being here helping people against Team Meteor AKA ALSO YOU! And also making me think that other people think of me as crazy! Maybe I am but I’ve been trying to do good so everybody can have a better life than what they have right now! I’ve… I’ve been through so much in the past couple of months and if I learned anything about myself, it’s that I am who I am. And nothing can make me more than what I really am inside. I somehow was not only able to win the Gym Battle but I was able to sing as well. But this time I felt like I was having fun with the singing. Which was different from all the different songs I had sung throughout this weird computer journey. Terra than spoke to me in her weird speech but without the loudness this time, which was shocking but a relief.

 

Terra: You just won yourself a motherfucking Gravity Badge. Rawr. Gravity Badge. Pfft. More like grabbity badge. Nudge nudge grope grope know what I mean vern, know what I mean?

Matthew: Riiiight. Just give me the badge already.

Terra: Right. Here. -hands over the Gravity Badge-

Matthew: Now… I’m going to get out of here alright?

Terra: Not before you become my Senpai. Will you love me?

Matthew: Yeeeaaa no.

Terra: But I’m ready to take our relationship to the next level Matthew-kun-chan-desu-sama. My couch is yours. So be gentle.

Matthew: Uhh… You can have it?

Terra: Don’t you want my couch? How could you? Baka Baka Baka Baka Rawr Baka.

 

Terra then went through some doors. I tried to follow her but the doors wouldn’t budge. Stantler and I both went out of the doors to the south. When we came to the next room, we were standing in the backroom of the Big Top. Samson and Ciel looked so relieved to see that I was ok.

 

Ciel: Bravo, dear, bravo!

Samson: You got some nice vocals there Matt.

Matthew: Yea? I guess I do. That whole thing was… weird though.

Samson: Yea. What a stupid goose chase. Seems she was trying to just distract you from the whole Meteor deal.

Matthew: Well, if anything, she just made me remember it even more with all of that chasing and singing.

Ciel: You ok? Something seemed to have come over you on that last song there.

Matthew: I’m fine. I think I just accepted a lot of stuff.

Ciel: Well that’s good. As long as you’re good with yourself, then that’s all that matters.

Matthew: Yea… you’re right. Thanks Ciel. Although, I wish she didn’t tell me about her… sexual interactions with members of Team Meteor. -shivers-

Ciel: True. Hey. Did you notice how quiet she seemed after you basically let her have it?

Matthew: Yea. I don’t know why she did that but I’m happy she did. By the way, can you see where she went to Samson?

Samson: Naw. Haven’t been able to find her but I have an idea. Now that you’re here…

 

Samson went over to the plugs and unplugged everything. The screen on the computer went black. It was all completely shut off. I liked this idea of his.

 

Ciel: Ah, will she be alright?

Samson: Not sure but she probably can’t get out of there as long as this is off. At least she can’t cause anymore trouble for Team Meteor.

Ciel: And there will be all this peace and quiet.

Matthew: I would take that in as much as possible.

Samson: Ohh hell yea. When all of this is over though, we’ll let her out. We’ll question her about Team Meteor.

Matthew: You think she’s gonna give an actual answer?

Samson: I’m not sure but after your outburst to her like that, at least it’ll be quiet, weird answers she gives us.

Ciel: What about all of that stuff from Agate City? We still don’t know anything about it.

Matthew: I have no clue.

Ciel: Well Matthew, you leave that to us.

Samson: Yea. You need to scale a waterfall!

Ciel: Bon voyage Matthew! We’ll have that women writing novels before you know it!

Matthew: Probably erotic novels with too much detail.

Samson: With some kind of anime cross-over, yes.

Ciel:… On 2nd though, let’s scratch the novel. But we’ll figure it out.

Matthew: -chuckles- Right. I’ll see you all later.

 

I hopped on top of Stantler and rode him out towards the home of Titania and Amaria. I now had to go save those 2 from the waterfall drop. I was still hoping those 2 somehow made the fall.

Terra -3 (0/10) - Oh my fucking candy corn Christmas flakes! She is so annoying! I can't believe I had to go through all of that just to battle her! I'm glad she's stuck in her own computer now. Although, I'm shocked she stayed quiet after the battle. Maybe I got her afraid somehow? Well whatever. She's out of my hair now.

 

Samson +1 (8/10) - Samson is the man. He trapped Terra in her own computer. He's smarter than he looks. I'm sure hell enjoy all of this quietness.

 

I'd like to say thank you to the people who always come back to read this. It's almost at 6000 views. That's insane to me. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for this. This is still going but as of right now, this is going on hiatus considering it's close to Christmas. Ohh yea. Before I forget. I'd like to thank 1 @Candy for editing the sprites that were used in the battle against Terra. (the VS trainer sprite and the Pokeball throwing sprites) She didn't have to do that for me but despite being in school and also doing her own written story version of Reborn, she decided to do that for me. Thanks! Yea. As soon as I was trying to get the leaders "theme songs", Terra was the the 1st person I knew what the battle music was gonna be. And yea. That song took me HOURS to edit. Had to get the melody of the song and the words to come up juuuust right.

SO! A little update here. Well... more like a little spoiler. In about I wanna say 2 to 5 episodes, I shall be replaced for a small bit in 1 of the upcoming huge events that takes place in the story. But I guess you'll never guess who.  And if you do... Well good for you! Taka’s and my Gliscors landed on Route 1 near the rear of the Grand Gates. I luckily was able to keep myself still on my Gliscor despite being in immense pain. We returned our Pokemon back to our PokeBalls and slowly walked into the Grand Gates. We could immediately tell that this place had been cleaned up and fixed. Taka and I both looked around the area.

 

Taka: So… they’re really fixing this place up huh?

Matthew: Wow… I-I’ve only ever seen Reborn in a state of ruin. I remember how this place looked when I 1st came here… I-It’s totally fixed up… This is awesome!

Taka: I’m glad they were able to fix this place up. Team Meteor has really been doing bad stuff to get everyone out. Now maybe things will finally turn in our favor.

Matthew: Yea. I hope so t-too…

Taka: Come on Matt! Let’s see how it looks on the other side of the Grand Gates!

Matthew: R-Right behind you Taka!

 

Taka ran out of the Grand Gates as I sluggishly followed suit. When we came out on the other side, we were astounded at what we were seeing. The whole area was fixed up. I remembered when Team Meteor blew a huge whole in the staircase in front of us but now it was all patched up. The roads near the bottom of the stairs were all fixed up. No holes or cracks were to be seen. The buildings were also all fixed up. Taka and I stared on in awe.

 

Matthew: This… This is…

Taka: This is better than when Team Meteor started messing up the region…

Matthew: It looks better?

Taka: Well to me yes.

Matthew: W-Well… I’m just glad it’s starting to finally change now. In a good way.

Taka: I never thought this region would ever look this beautiful ever again.

Matthew: Me neither…

Taka: What ward is this anyways?

Matthew: Umm… I think this is the North Obsidian Ward.

Taka: This is incredible. I still can’t believe what I’m seeing.

Matthew: Yea… I wish we could see the other wards but we should get going.

Taka: Where are we even going anyways?

Matthew: We’re gonna go to the Grand Hall.

Taka: O-Ohh…

Matthew: What is it?

Taka: It’s… It’s nothing.

Matthew: Well… ok then. Let’s go.

 

The 2 of us started to walk to the Grand Hall. As we slowly walked down, we looked around the place. Everything indeed had been fixed. A lot more nature had been implemented into the areas now. A lot more flowers and trees could be seen. We started to walk down the steps that were near the Grand Hall. When we made it down the steps, we walked up to the front of the building. We stared up at the newly modeled building. It was fascinating.

 

Matthew: Wo- Ow! Damn that hurts. But this place… It’s so different from when I last was here.

Taka: Yea. It’s definitely different.

Matthew: Well let’s go.

 

I started to walk towards the door of the Grand Hall but when I got up to it, I noticed that Taka hadn’t moved. He was staring at the ground. He seemed a little hesitant about going inside.

 

Matthew: T-Taka… What’s wrong?

Taka: Ame… She’s in there right?

Matthew: Yea. We’re gonna go speak to her.

Taka: Should I really be going in there?

Matthew: Of course you should. Why shouldn’t you?

Taka: I used to be apart of Team Meteor Matt. I doubt the head of the entire league challenge and the region would want me to be in the building with her, let alone still in the region.

Matthew: Taka, you’re thinking too much into this. Yes. You were apart of Team Meteor. And yes. Admittedly, you did do some bad things. But you’ve got out of that life. You’re no longer apart of it. Plus you’re with me dude!

Taka: I’m not sure man. Maybe I should just stay out here.

Matthew: N-No man. You gotta come inside. You got this. Everything will be ok.

Taka: Erm… Well… I guess I can.

Matthew: Good. Everything will be ok. I promise.

Taka: Ok… Ok. I believe you Matt. Let’s go inside.

 

The 2 of us went up to the doors and went inside the Grand Hall. The inside hadn’t really changed much but to be honest, it didn’t really need to be fixed up. It looked great when I 1st came to this region and it still looked great right now. We walked up to the counter. We could see Ame standing there talking to some people on the other side of the counter.

 

Matthew: Hey Ame. W-What’s up?

Ame: -turns around- Ohh Matt! You’re… here…

 

Taka: Uhh… Hey?

Ame: I’ll… get back to you 2.

 

Ame turned back to the people behind the counter and finished their conversation. But I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. She was talking about Laura’s resignation and how apparently Bennett was now in the Elite 4. After that, she turned around to us but didn’t seem to have a happy expression on her face.

 

Ame: Matthew, did you bring in this Meteor Grunt for questioning?

Taka: I’m not… Umm…

Matthew: No. He’s here helping me.

Ame: Wait. Helping you?

Matthew: Yes. He’s quit Team Meteor and has decided to help us to fight against him.

Ame: Hmm… How can you trust him? How can you trust any Meteor member?

Matthew: Listen, I know how it sounds but-

Taka: No. I got this. I understand that it’s not easy to trust me. I USED to be part of Team Meteor. But thanks to Matthew here, I’ve opened my eyes and realized that what they were doing was wrong and I didn’t want to be apart of it. So please… From me to you, please trust me.

 

Ame looked at Taka with a serious look on her face. Taka also had a serious look on his face. I didn’t know what was gonna happen here. Would Ame be alright with this and let him continue helping us or would she not trust him and throw him in the slammer? They looked at each other for a good minute at least. As this intense stare off was happening, I could feel my legs weakening. My leg crumbled but as I went falling to the ground, Taka grabbed onto me and helped me stay up on my feet.

 

Taka: Whoa! You ok there?

Matthew: Y-Yea… I guess I’m still more hurt than I thought I was. Heh…

Ame: Hmm… Alright. I trust you.

Taka: Huh?

Ame: I think if you were still a Team Meteor Member, you wouldn’t even look at Matthew as he was falling to the ground.

Taka: I told you and of course I care about him. He’s a really good friend of mine. I owe him everything.

Matthew: And I still owe you for fending off your dad from trying to kill me.

Ame: Wait. Your dad tried to kill Matt?

Taka: Yea. He’s kind of the reason Matt’s so messed up right now…

Ame: Well thank you for keeping him alive.

Taka: -chuckles lightly- No problem.

Ame: Alright. Now that that’s all settled, I would appreciate if you 2 could help me.

Matthew: S-Sure but with what?

Ame: Well the important thing is… Well before I explain, I think we should bring everyone here. This might take all of us.

Taka: Who exactly is all of us?

Ame: Adrienn, Victoria and DJ Arclight. They’re taking care of various things around the city.

Matthew: T-Then all we gotta do is go find them right?

Ame: Well yes but I don’t really know where they’re at right now.

Taka: Well drat. Where do we start then?

Matthew: I- Ow! Ugh.

Ame: Matt, are you sure you should be moving so much? I knew you were in pain when we talked over the computer for your battle against Ciel but I didn’t know it was this bad.

Matthew: No no. I… I can do this. I know where Arclight and Adrienn should be. Arclight should be at that Club place and Adrienn is probably at his Gym. Probably already all fixed up and stuff though.

Taka: What about that Victoria girl?

Ame: Well last time I talked to her, she was helping out restoring the Beryl Ward. She might be there.

Matthew: Alright. I’ll go to Arclight and Adrienn and you go to Victoria Taka.

Taka: Wait. We’re gonna split up?

Matthew: Y-Yea. It’ll save more time.

Ame: But Matt, you’re really hurt right now. You should really-

Matthew: N-No no. I can do this.

Ame: So stubborn. Alright. Fine. When you find them, tell them to come back here. I’ll be waiting for you all to come back.

Taka and I made it out of the Grand Hall. He was worried about me being by myself because I wasn’t all that good but I was determined to do this. He finally gave up trying to help me get everyone and went off towards the Beryl Ward to go look for Victoria. I went off towards the North Obsidia Ward to go to the club to see if Arclight was there. It took a bit for me to get there. A couple of times, I had to stop and take a quick rest because of my broken ribs rubbing up against each other from walking so much. But I pressed on, getting through the pain. Luckily for me, when I got there, Arclight was already outside the building. When he saw me, he waved me over.

 

Arclight: Matt! It’s been a while. You look… terrible.

Matthew: Heh… I wish I-it was just looks. I feel terrible too…

Arclight: What happened to you?

Matthew: I took a full f-frontal attack from a Tyranitar. I have some broken ribs and a bad headache.

It was actually my Stantler that Arclight called out and had put me on its back to help carry me back to the Grand Hall. When we got to the front of the Grand Hall, Arclight yelled out to Ame to come outside. As Ame came running out, she was shocked to see me almost totally knocked out on a Stantler.

 

Ame: What?! What happened to him?!

Arclight: I’m guessing his injuries made him pass out from the pain he was feeling.

Ame: Ugh. I told him that he shouldn’t have gone out. At least not by himself.

Arclight: I’m betting he’s really mad about this right now.

Ame: Probably. Did he tell you anything though?

Arclight: Yea. He told me you were calling the team here. But I’m gonna head on ahead and clear out the area.

This place now looked beautiful and so much better than the last time he was there. He remembered the last time he was there, he actually teamed up with that weird person ZEL to take on Matthew. He was glad he was able to defeat them both. Taka had looked all over the Ward but couldn’t locate her. He decided to go look at the Beryl Cemetery just so he searched the whole area. As soon as he entered the area, he recognized the dress she always wore. She was standing in front of a headstone. He headed up to her.

Victoria started to walk out of the cemetery back to the Grand Hall. The whole confrontation with her had left Taka a little bit scared but he realized that a lot of people would probably have that same reaction because of his former affiliation with Team Meteor. He waited for Victoria to be a couple of feet away from him and started to follow behind her. Meanwhile in the Coral Ward, Adrienn was near xyr’s now fully fixed Gym, giving some instructions to the volunteers. Arclight came over towards xem to talk. Before they talked though, Adrienn finished talking to the volunteers and sent them on their way. Xe then turned his attention towards Arclight.

 

Adrienn: Sorry about that Arclight. I apologize for making you wait like that. I’d like to thank you again for broadcasting about the renovation. We’ve gotten more people to help out.

Arclight: No problem man. Glad I was able to help out.

Adrienn: So what brings you down here?

Arclight: Ame’s wanting to meet everyone up at the Grand Hall.

Adrienn: Ahh. So is this what I think it means then?

Arclight: Probably.

Adrienn: Alright. Would you like to accompany me back to the Grand Hall?

Arclight: I would but I’m gonna get a little head start. I’m gonna clear some of them out in the front.

Arclight walked away from Adrienn and out of the Coral Ward. Adrienn got himself prepared quickly and then left for the Grand Hall. When he made it there, he walked inside. He looked towards the PokeCenter part of the building and could see a bed, Ame, Victoria and Taka standing around it. He walked up to it and saw that I was in the bed. I felt very weak and hurt and tired. My eyes were barely open.

 

Adrienn: Ohh my!

Ame: Ahh. You’ve finally gotten here Adrienn.

Victoria: Hey there.

Taka: Uhh… Hi.

Adrienn: What’s happened to him?

Ame: Well in the condition he’s in, he can’t really move much unless he wants to pass out again.

Victoria: Yea. And it was this “ex” Team Meteor member’s father’s fault.

Victoria: Yes. That’s what he said. I don’t completely trust him about that though.

Taka: Victoria, I don’t know what else to do to prove to you that I’m no longer apart of that team. But I promise you that you won’t be disappointed if you let me come with you.

Victoria: Fine. You’re with us. But DO NOT try anything!

Taka: I won’t. You’ll see.

Adrienn: Great! If we all work together, we can show them what we’re made of and end this once and for all!

Victoria: And I’ll show them the same mercy they showed Kiki…

Ame: Then we’re set. We shouldn’t waste anymore time.

Victoria: I’m sorry you can’t come with us Matthew. But you’ll be fine by the time we come back!

Adrienn: Indeed. There’s something I would like to talk to you about when we get back from this too.

At that point, I was too weak and tired to stay awake and immediately passed out to sleep. Ame, Adrienn, Victoria and Taka exited the Grand Hall and started to make there respective ways to the Devon Corporation building. Ame and Adrienn went the above ground way while Taka and Victoria took the Railnet to meet up with Arclight in the underground. Their mission was just about to begin.

Victoria: I will never listen to the likes of you! My teacher is dead! She’s dead because of Team Meteor!

Taka: I’m seriously sorry about your teacher! I didn’t know my dad would do that! If it means anything, I was against that!

Victoria: Well you sure did a lot to try to stop it or at least show any kind of remorse!

Taka: I… It’s just…

Victoria: What is it?!

Taka: …It was hard speaking up against my father. There could have been dire consequences if I did but thanks to Matthew-

Victoria: Wait… Matthew? What about Matthew? What did you do to him?!

Taka: Nothing! He’s fine. Well… he’s still here at least.

Victoria: What are you talking about?! What’s going on?! Why are you even here?!

Taka: The other day, my dad, along with Team Meteor, tried to take something away from Matthew and his friends. They were able to stop them but not before my dad injured Matthew.

Victoria: Injure him…? Let me guess. You did nothing about it that time too.

Taka: No! I jumped in and defended Matthew and… well everyone there! I battled my dad and now I’m with Matthew and everyone else that’s fighting against Team Meteor.

Victoria: So what you’re telling me is that you have turned against Team Meteor and joining with us?

Taka: Yes.

Victoria: …I’m sorry but I just can’t trust you. There’s a reason you’re “siding” with us? What is it? Is it to gather intel on us and report back to your father?

Taka: No. I’m serious. I’m not with them anymore. If it wasn’t for Matthew…

Victoria: The way you talk about Matthew… You make it sound like he’s the most important person in your life right now.

Taka: He is. You don’t know how grateful I am to him for helping me find the light and to get the guts to not only stand up to my father but leave Team Meteor. If it wasn’t for him, I’d still be apart of that organization and maybe even… Well I don’t want to think about it but I owe everything to Matthew.

Victoria: I… I still don’t trust you but I won’t fight you. For now.

Taka: I’ll take it.

Victoria: What are you doing here anyways?

Taka: Ame sent me here to get you.

Victoria: Wait. Ame sent you?

Taka: Yes. She’s trusting me for right now. She’s letting me help out with whatever she has planned with everyone else.

Victoria: Everyone else? Who’s all going to be there?

Taka: Me, you, Matt, a guy named Arclight and some Adrienn person.

Victoria: I see. Well… I guess I should head down to the Grand Hall then… I suppose you can tag along if you want.

Taka: I would love to-

Victoria: But understand this. I still don’t trust you. 1 false move or if I even think you’re about to betray us, I will hold nothing back and kill you.

Taka: Uhh… I-I…

Victoria: The fact that Matthew and Ame have some kind of trust in your is the only reason I’m even tolerating you around me.

Taka: Uhh… Yes. I get it.

Victoria: Good. Let’s get going then.

 

Victoria started to walk out of the cemetery back to the Grand Hall. The whole confrontation with her had left Taka a little bit scared but he realized that a lot of people would probably have that same reaction because of his former affiliation with Team Meteor. He waited for Victoria to be a couple of feet away from him and started to follow behind her. Meanwhile in the Coral Ward, Adrienn was near xyr’s now fully fixed Gym, giving some instructions to the volunteers. Arclight came over towards xem to talk. Before they talked though, Adrienn finished talking to the volunteers and sent them on their way. Xe then turned his attention towards Arclight.

 

Adrienn: Sorry about that Arclight. I apologize for making you wait like that. I’d like to thank you again for broadcasting about the renovation. We’ve gotten more people to help out.

Arclight: No problem man. Glad I was able to help out.

Adrienn: So what brings you down here?

Arclight: Ame’s wanting to meet everyone up at the Grand Hall.

Adrienn: Ahh. So is this what I think it means then?

Arclight: Probably.

Adrienn: Alright. Would you like to accompany me back to the Grand Hall?

Arclight: I would but I’m gonna get a little head start. I’m gonna clear some of them out in the front.

Adrienn: Alright. Be careful.

Arclight: Ohh. Before I forget, Matt’s back too.

Adrienn: He is?

Arclight: Yes but he’s not looking so good.

Adrienn: What’s happened to him? I’m not too sure but he collapsed when he came to get me. I brought him back to the Grand Hall so he can rest up. He’s supposed to join with us on this too but…

Adrienn: I see. I shall go there right away then to see him and Ame. See you in a bit Arclight.

Arclight: Later man.

 

Arclight walked away from Adrienn and out of the Coral Ward. Adrienn got himself prepared quickly and then left for the Grand Hall. When he made it there, he walked inside. He looked towards the PokeCenter part of the building and could see a bed, Ame, Victoria and Taka standing around it. He walked up to it and saw that I was in the bed. I felt very weak and hurt and tired. My eyes were barely open.

 

Adrienn: Ohh my!

Ame: Ahh. You’ve finally gotten here Adrienn.

Victoria: Hey there.

Taka: Uhh… Hi.

Adrienn: What’s happened to him?

Ame: Well in the condition he’s in, he can’t really move much unless he wants to pass out again.

Victoria: Yea. And it was this “ex” Team Meteor member’s father’s fault.

Adrienn: Wait. Ex Team Meteor member? He used to work for Team Meteor!?

Victoria: Yes. That’s what he said. I don’t completely trust him about that though.

Matthew: G-Guys… Please… D-Don’t fight am-mongst… yourselves…

Ame: Matt, you really shouldn’t try to speak. That won’t help with your recovery.

Taka: You have all of these tubes attached to him. What’s that gonna do?

Ame: Well it’ll heal him way faster than normal. He should be up around the nighttime.

Adrienn: What happened to him anyways?

Taka: My father… attacked him viciously with his Pokemon.

Adrienn: Then your father will be dealt with when we meet.

Victoria: I second that motion.

Taka: I do too.

Victoria: Mhm…

Adrienn: So Ame, I assume that you’ve assembled us here to finally get storm the Team Meteor base that’s here in the city?

Ame: Yes. It’s time to put that plan into action.

Victoria: Wait. There’s a Team Meteor base somewhere in the city?!

Taka: W-Wait. Is that true?

Ame: I’m afraid it is. But since you’re here, I thought maybe you’d be able to tell us something about that?

Taka: I would if I could but this is the 1st time I’m hearing about this.

Victoria: Hmph. This isn’t helping your case of gaining our trust.

Taka: I-I’m being honest! I don’t know anything about it!

Adrienn: Well that’s a bit disappointing. Do we at least know where it is?

Ame: It’s the Devon Corporation building.

Adrienn: I figured as much.

Victoria: How did you know that?

Adrienn: I’ve been inside almost every building in this city but the Devon Corporation building barely lets you walk in the front room.

Victoria: I suppose you’re right. The storefront looks shifty for what’s supposed to be an international company.

Taka: So what are we doing? What’s the plan?

Ame: Well, from what Saphira has told me, the leader is being hidden there.

Victoria: Solaris… I’ll pay him back for what he did!

Taka: Father?

Ame: No. It’s not him. It’s Lin.

Taka: L-Lin?!

Ame: Yes. I take it her name doesn’t sound pleasant to you?

Taka: I’ve only ever met her once but… it wasn’t a calm situation.

Ame: Well that’s more than enough to confirm what Saphira said.

Adrienn: Which is what?

Ame: We can’t take any chances with her. And that’s why I need all of you. And I’m going too.

Adrienn: Ohh? That’s surprising. I thought you were going to be staying on the sidelines?

Ame: It’s true that Anna asked me to do that originally…

Matthew: -thinking to myself- Wait. Anna asked Ame to stay out of this? Why would she do that?

Ame: But at this point, if we can end all of this now, I’ll do whatever it takes. Besides, I wouldn’t be doing the right thing as the Champion of this region now would I?

Matthew & Taka: WHAT?!

 

Taka and I couldn’t believe what we just heard Ame said. The shock of hearing that had made me shot straight up in bed. Which wasn’t a good thing because that severely hurt my ribs and my head. But the shock of hearing Ame being the Champion of Reborn had cancelled out some of the pain.

 

Matthew: Ow! Son of a- FUCK! Y-You’re the Champion?!

Ame: Matt! You shouldn’t be-

Matthew: J-J-Just answer my question!

Ame: Yes! I’m the Champion! Wait. You mean you didn’t know?

Matthew: No I d-didn’t!

Ame: Ohh… Well I guess it’s not that surprising. It’s not something I like to just toss around or brag about.

Taka: I… can’t believe it though.

Ame: Well of course. I mean to be honest, it should be obvious. I did restart this League after all. Who do you think runs the trial runs for Leaders?

Matthew: That’s… Th-That’s… Oogh… -slumps back down onto the bed-

Taka: Matt! Are you ok?

Ame: I think we should try to avoid more shockers like that around him.

Adrienn: You need to rest for now Matthew.

Victoria: Yea. I don’t like seeing you like this buddy.

Ame: Anyways, that Champion stuff isn’t really important right now.

Taka: Right. The plan. What is it?

Ame: Well I’ve already talked this over with Arclight. Here’s the details. The main level is probably fairly secure, even if they don’t want to be seen. So we’re going to take a pincer movement with 1 group in the front and another approaching from the basement level which connects to the Railnet. We’ll rendezvous in the middle and tackle the upper floors together. Any questions?

Adrienn: Yes. How are the groups decided?

Ame: Well that’s somewhat… complicated.

Victoria: Why’s that?

Ame: Well I was planning on me and Adrienn taking the storefront. We would pretend to be there on city restoration business, as to not make us look suspicious. Then I was gonna have Matt, Victoria and Arclight come up under and behind them.

Adrienn: But with Matthew like this… I see the dilemma now.

Matthew: I-I can still do this…

Ame: Are you crazy?! You can barely move right now! I would say that you won’t be able to move about on your own til we get back during the nighttime.

Matthew: B-But Ame-

Ame: No buts Matt. I appreciate that you want to contribute to this plan but I’d be putting you into danger and I can’t risk that.

Victoria: So what do we do now? I mean I’m sure me and Arclight can still do this.

Ame: Maybe… But I’d feel better about a 3 man team down there.

Taka: W-Well… what about me?

 

Adrienn, Ame and Victoria looked at the young man. They didn’t ever consider having him being apart of this. Victoria seemed like she was against this but Adrienn and Ame seemed alright with this idea at the very least.

 

Ame: Hmm…

Adrienn: I mean that could work.

Victoria: Wait a minute. You’re not seriously considering this are you?

Ame: Well it would make me feel better.

Adrienn: And I’m sure he’s a strong trainer.

Ame: And if what he said about defeating his father is true, he’d definitely be a good replacement for Matthew.

Victoria: Ok. Look, I don’t mind him being here keeping an eye on Matthew to make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid but you’re thinking about letting an “ex” Team Meteor member go into a TEAM METEOR base and being around them and potentially telling them anything about us? ESPECIALLY Matt?

Taka: Victoria, I don’t know what else to do to prove to you that I’m no longer apart of that team. But I promise you that you won’t be disappointed if you let me come with you.

Victoria: I’m sorry but I-

Ame: Fine. You’ll be joining Victoria and Arclight, Taka.

Victoria: What!?

Ame: Look, if he betrays us, we’ll deal with him then but… right now, we need him.

Victoria: Are you kidding me?! What about asking 1 of the Gym Leaders?!

Adrienn: They wouldn’t be able to get here to do this mission in time. We don’t have the time to wait for anyone. We need to do this now.

 

Victoria looked at Ame and then back at Taka. She didn’t want the possibility of him betraying them and then giving them some kind of info about us over. She then looked over to me. I slightly nodded my head yes and gave a very weak but understandable thumbs up. She sighed and looked back to Taka.

 

Victoria: Fine. You’re with us. But DO NOT try anything!

Taka: I won’t. You’ll see.

Adrienn: Great! If we all work together, we can show them what we’re made of and end this once and for all!

Victoria: And I’ll show them the same mercy they showed Kiki…

Ame: Then we’re set. We shouldn’t waste anymore time.

Victoria: I’m sorry you can’t come with us Matthew. But you’ll be fine by the time we come back!

Adrienn: Indeed. There’s something I would like to talk to you about when we get back from this too.

Ame: Make sure you stay here and rest Matthew. I swear if I see you in there, you’ll be in trouble.

Taka: Matthew, I promise to do my best to help out your friends and to take down Team Meteor. You can count on me.

Matthew: I-I know I… can buddy… Kick some m-major ass out there… for me…

 

At that point, I was too weak and tired to stay awake and immediately passed out to sleep. Ame, Adrienn, Victoria and Taka exited the Grand Hall and started to make there respective ways to the Devon Corporation building. Ame and Adrienn went the above ground way while Taka and Victoria took the Railnet to meet up with Arclight in the underground. Their mission was just about to begin.

Victoria -1 (6/10) - Kind of sucks that our reunion is with me in the bed and barely able to talk but I wish she wouldn't be so harsh on Taka. I mean Ame doesn't fully trust Taka either but she's at least trying to trust him. Victoria needs to try to chill out.

Taka and Victoria started there walk towards the Underground Railnet. It was an awkward, silence kind of walk. Taka wanted to talk to Victoria but didn’t want to suffer her vocal wrath. So he just kept quiet. By the time they made it to the entrance of the area, the sun was setting and it made the newly renovated area a beautiful looking orange color. Taka was taking a moment enjoy the view. Victoria was annoyed at this but she couldn’t help but enjoy the view too. But she knew those 2 had a mission to do. She walked into the Underground Railnet. Taka noticed this and rushed in after her. As they walked through the tunnel, Taka noticed that there was still a lot of cracks on the ground and the place was still messy.

 

Taka: Hey. Mind if I ask you something?

Victoria: What is it…?

Taka: They renovated a lot of Reborn but why haven’t they touched this place yet.

Victoria: We haven’t gotten around to it. Not like this whole thing happened in a couple of hours. This took days to accomplish.

Taka: O-Ohh… I guess that makes sense.

Victoria: We will be fixing this place up soon but it’s not a top priority right now.

Taka: Right… Gotcha… Can I ask you something else…? Victoria?

 

Victoria stopped at an area where they had to either go up or down. Since they didn’t start the renovation of this place, she knew that they wouldn’t be able to go the short way, which would be going up, to get to their destination. So they had to go down.

 

But she just stood there, looking up towards the blocked off route. Taka was confused on why she was looking up there.

 

Taka: Victoria? Are you ok?

Victoria: …That’s when it all started.

Taka: When… what all started?

Victoria: My Sensei’s untimely… Her untimely…

Taka: It’s ok. You don’t have to finish that sentence. I understand.

Victoria: Do you really though? Do you know how it feels to lose someone that close to you?

Taka: I… I guess I… I don’t know.

Victoria: Hmph… Anyways, this is where it all started. Matt came here to see if he could find Cain but I was here instead.

Taka: Ahh… I don’t mean to cut off your flashback or whatever this is but shouldn’t we get going to meet up with Arclight?

Victoria: Yea… Yea. You’re right. Let’s go.

 

The 2 of them resumed their walk to where they were supposed to meet up with Arclight. Taka felt like Victoria wanted to keep talking about what happened so he told her that if she wanted to talk as they walked, it wouldn’t bother him. She shot him a stare that basically said “I’d talk and walk whether you wanted to hear it or not.” But she sighed and started to tell her tale to the young man. By the time she got to the part where Victoria and Matthew realized Cain never made it to Apophyll, they were in the area where they could reach the Yureyu building. Victoria stopped for she had thought of something.

 

Taka: Why’d you stop?

Victoria: You know, I’m curious about something.

Taka: What is it?

Victoria: How exactly did you and some of the other members of Team Meteor capture Cain?

Taka: Ohh. You want to know about that?

Victoria: Yea. I always wondered how you did it.

Taka: Well… I guess I can tell you. When he came close to the island, I had Chatot use Chatter to distract him and then had my Exeggutor wrap their neck around him and trap him. And then we were able to keep him in that prison.

Victoria: Hmm. I see.

Taka: I honestly didn’t like doing that though.

Victoria: Well you still did it nonetheless.

Taka: Yea… I know.

Victoria: Well let’s keep going. We’re about halfway there.

 

The 2 of them continued on their way. Victoria was kind of enjoying this time with Taka. She still didn’t trust him however. They finally made it to the area where there were a lot more train tracks on the ground. They made their way to where they were almost to where Arclight was but suddenly, 2 Team Meteor Grunts came from a hole in the wall and blocked their path.

 

Female Meteor Grunt: Ha! You 2 aren’t going anywhere!

Victoria: Great! Team Meteor Grunts!

Taka: I expected to find them in the building. I shouldn’t be surprised by this though.

Male Meteor Grunt: We figured there might have been a chance of someone figuring out that our hideout was here. So we were put here to take care of anyone that came by.

Victoria: Wait. If that’s true, then what happened to Arclight?

Female Meteor Grunt: Arclight? We didn’t see anyone else come here besides you 2!

Taka: You know what. I’m glad you guys are here.

Male Meteor Grunt: Ohh yea? Why’s that?

Taka: I’ve had an itch to battle some of you Meteor Grunts for a long time now. Think I’ll be able to do that now.

 

Taka grabbed a PokeBall from around his waist and was prepared for a battle. The 2 Team Meteor Grunts didn’t grab their PokeBalls though. Instead, they looked at each other and started to laugh. This confused Taka and infuriated Victoria.

 

Victoria: Urgh! What are you 2 laughing about?!

Male Meteor Grunt: You can drop it now Taka.

Taka: Huh? Drop what?

Female Meteor Grunt: You can drop the act now. You got intel on the enemy.

Taka: What?! You know that’s not what I did!

Male Meteor Grunt: Seriously, you can drop the act now. I’m sure whatever you go on the enemies will be enough for us to defeat them so we can achieve our goals.

Taka: No! Stop the lies! Stop-

Victoria: I… knew it!

Taka: Huh? No… No! Don’t believe the- ow!

 

Victoria pushed Taka onto the ground in the middle of everyone. She grabbed her PokeBall and called out her Incineroar. Taka knew that Victoria wasn’t going to hurt him at this point but would kill him if he didn’t do something.

 

Taka: Victoria! No! Please don’t listen to them!

Victoria: I knew it! I knew we shouldn’t have trusted you!

Taka: Please believe me th-… Wait. We?

Victoria: Yes…! I was starting to trust you. But just a little bit! But this… this just proves that I should have just stuck to my instincts and kept you away from everyone! Especially Matthew!

Taka: Victoria, listen to me! They’re doing this because they want the group to be arguing with each other! Don’t believe them!

Victoria: No… No no no. You’re lying! Fire Fang Incineroar!

 

The Pokemon listened to its owners command and attacked Taka. He was able to jump out of the way though. He couldn’t believe that this was happening. After everything that was going on, this was just making everything worse. As this was going on, the 2 Meteor Grunts gave a thumbs up. Taka caught a glimpse of this. Then, Taka could see something drop from the ceiling and down behind Victoria. It was a Team Meteor Admin and a Bisharp. Victoria was so focused on trying to kill Taka that she didn’t notice them.

 

Taka: Ohh no… Victoria! Behind you!

Victoria: Ha! Nice try but I’m not an idiot! I’m not gonna fall for something like that!

Taka: I’m serious! Look behind you!

Victoria: Shut up Taka!

Taka: Victoria!

Team Meteor Admin: Too bad you didn’t listen to him. Otherwise you might have lived! Bisharp, stab the girl in the heart! Night Slash!

Victoria: What?!

 

Victoria turned around to see who it was but by the time she turned around, the Bisharp was almost right on top of her. She closed her eyes, waiting for the worse to happen. The noise of something sharp slashing through human flesh could be heard. But Victoria wasn’t the 1 that go impaled. She opened her eyes and could see that Taka had jumped in front of the Pokemon and had taken the attack.

 

Luckily for him though, the Bisharp only impaled through his shoulder. But Victoria could see the pain on his face. She was shocked to see him look back at her though and speak.

 

Taka: Ahah… Ar-Are you ok Victoria?

Victoria: T… Taka?! What did… What did you just-

Taka: I’ve t-told you… I’m not wi-with them… Ohh Arceus that hurts. Urgh.

Team Meteor Admin: Fool. He protected a person who was trying to kill him. How stupid can you get.

Taka: I-I’m not stupid. But yes… I did protect her… I protected h-her life… I view her as a friend… Urgh…

 

Victoria couldn’t believe what she was hearing. This person that she viewed as an enemy and thought was still apart of an organization that she despised just used his own body to protect her from leaving to the afterlife. All he ever did was try to be nice to her and she was nothing but rude and mean towards him. She knew at this point that he was truly not with Team Meteor any longer.

 

Victoria: Taka… I’m sorry.

Taka: It’s-It’s ok Victoria…

Victoria: It’s not though. I-

Team Meteor Admin: Ohh for the love of- Shut up! Prepare to die! Both of you!

Victoria: Right. We’ll have a moment later. Right now, I gotta take care of these 3.

Taka: D-Don’t think you’re gonna have all the fun here V-Victoria…

Victoria: Huh?

 

Taka looked towards the Bisharp. He somehow had the strength to push off of the Pokemon and get the sword like arm out of his shoulder. Blood started to pour from his shoulder. He still somehow had the strength to grab his PokeBall and called out his Chatot. Victoria was amazed at how he was still able to move after suffering a devastating attack. Taka commanded his Chatot to use Heat Wave while Victoria had her Incineroar use Flare Blitz. The Heat Wave attack swirled around Incineroar as it ran towards the 2 Team Meteor Grunts. The attack powered up its Flare Blitz attack and instantly knocked them out. The Incineroar quickly turned around and attacked the Bisharp and Meteor Admin, knocking them out as well. Victoria then tied them all up and put them back into the hole they were hiding in before their attempted ambush. She then went over to Taka and tended to his wound.

 

Victoria: Alright. Now try to hold still Taka. This might hurt a bit.

Taka: Ahh! Urgh! Man that really hurts!

Victoria: But you wouldn’t have been in this position if it wasn’t for me…

Taka: D-Don’t start the whole “I’m to blame for you being hurt” th-thing… Ow…

Victoria: But-

Taka: But nothing. I knew you wouldn’t trust me from the start. But that’s why I-I didn’t give up on- Ooo! Ahh!

Victoria: Sorry.

Taka: It’s ok. But that’s why I didn’t give up on trying to earn your trust.

Victoria: Taka… Thank you…

Taka: N-No probelm… It’s what friends do right?

Victoria: Heh… Matthew really did help you a lot didn’t he?
