A dagger flashes through the night, catching the torchlight. lt finds intself into the gut of one of the robed figured with a resounding grunt of pain. lt is enough to bring them to the ground, but before they fall... their body disappears... and only empty robes fall to the earth. Coel moves to F8 and holds. The curtain is called on the Actors of Fate, their act ends for now. The Enemy Phase begins. The robed figures look at each other in dismay, realizing that they were collasped on a lot faster than they had expected. They had not known they'd face such resistance, after all, Padstow as known as a place of peace. How they were so prepared was a mystery. But they had to rearrange their forces, charging into their deaths wasn't exactly a good move after all. However, one of them saw a lone figure creeping around the edge of the battle.Scout 1 moves to H3 and attacks Gavan! Spoiler {Gavan's past catches up with him...} Scout 1: Damage: 7 Hit: 92% Crit: 5% Gavan: Damage: 4 Hit: 71% Crit: 4% Scout 1 attacks! 32. Hit! Scout 1 deals 7 damage to Gavan. Gavan strikes back! 100. Miss. The robed figure summons a bow from somewhere unseen in a flash of black. His wicked arrow finds it mark taking purchase into Gavan's shoulder. Perhaps it is this that knocks Gavan's aim wide, but only the Wheel of Fortune knows what caused his luck to turn. The bow the figure was holding then vanishs back into the drakness from whence it came. While he would love to leave him, his honor would not allow him to turn a blind eye and he changed his course to aid the boy. Lyla uses the opportunity made by her brother to get in a blow. The being is ready this time, but Lyla is much faster on her toes than Lyle. The blow still connects, though nowhere near as deadly as it could've been. This being was proving quite the difficult stain to remove. He even laughed, a sinister cackle. He knew his time wasn't long for this world, but he was enough of a distraction that was all that mattered in the end. After all... all life crumbles to dust one day. He whispers a word of prayer, a soft white light emenates from beneath his palm. Morgan suddenly feels rush of power come to her, one that feels different than her own energy. lt pulses it fills her with a new kind of strength one that makes her feel stronger and safe. As lf she could do anything.Moves to G8, and use Transfer Power on Morgan. Morgan gains +4 to her damage, Coel's Strength drops to 0.The curtain is called on the Actors of Fate, their act ends for now. The Enemy Phase begins. The darkness that had bided their time would no longer tarry away under the light slowly fading wicks of lanterns. Forward they surged lashing out the first thing they set sight on. Feveredly they dashed forth as if spurred on by some unseen force. They would seek to do thee harm.Pupil 1 moves to J6, and attacks Lyle! Spoiler Name: Damage: Hit: Crit: Pupil 1: Damage: 14 Hit: 73% Crit: 1% Lyle: Damage: - Hit: - Crit: - Pupil 1 Attacks! 74. Miss! The battle ends uneventful. One of the figures lashes out with tendrils of umbral energy. They crackle forth, perverting reality around them the stink of the arcane in the air. By only some magnitude of miracle does Lyle avoid their grasp, he feels their putrid and vile form slither past... the stink of magic so potent it causes his eyes to water and burn. A close call... the closest of calls. The taste of death lingers on his tongue...Drifter 1 moves to l7 and attacks Lyle! Spoiler Drifter 1: Damage: 5 Hit: 94% Crit: 1% Lyle: Damage: - Hit: - Crit: - Drifter 1 attacks! 28. Hit! Drifter 1 deals 5 damage to Lyle! However, Lyle hardly has the time catch his breath. A knife finds it's way into the folds of his armour, and piering his stomach. The spindly thorn would be easy enough to break off and it didn't cut deep, though cut it did. But, there's no rest for the wicked.lnitiate 3 moves to l6 and attacks Lyle! Spoiler {Lyle is distracted by the thrills of combat!} {Lyle draws on an unbreakable bond!} {Lyle is at the Advantage!} lnitiate 3: Damage: 5 Hit: 100% Crit: 6% Lyle: Damage: 8 Hit: 94% Crit: 14% lnitiate 3 attacks! They cannot miss this attack. lnitiate 3 manages to deal 5 damage to Lyle! Lyle attacks! 12. Hit! The Sun decides if he should give his blessing: 75. The Sun is unmoved and makes no effort to show this one warmth. Lyle deals 8 damage to thier foe! Lyle meets the edge of yet another blade, lt slips past his defense, naught but a glint of steel shows the blade was once there. However this time Lyle can strike back and he does so with ease. He deals this darkness a hardy blow.Scout 2 move to H10, and looses an arrow at Morgan! Spoiler {Morgan feels the lifeforce of another within.} {Scout 2 will strike twice this battle!} Scout 2 Damage: 8 Hit: 100% Crit: 6% Morgan: Damage: 16 Hit: 66% Crit: 0% Scout 2 Attacks! They cannot miss. Scout 2 deals Morgan 8 damage! Morgan counters! 97. Miss! Scout 2 makes a follow-up attack! They cannot miss. Scout 2 deals Morgan another 8 damage! Another being of the darkness uses the techique the brazen one before did and summons forth in a burst of inky dark a bow. He looses an arrow at Morgan, and it lands with impunity in her shoulder. She tries to retaliate but the archer is too quick and fires another shot at her tome trying to take it from her hands. lt fouls her aim causing her own blast of dark magic to go wide, another sharp shot of pain her reward.Pupil 2 moves J9, and attacks Sherwyn! Spoiler Pupil 2: Damage: 12 Hit: 78% Crit: 2% Sherwyn: Damage: - Hit: - Crit: - Pupil 2 Attacks! 60. Hit! Pupil 2 deals 12 damage to Sherwyn! One of the shadows slowly walks up to Sherwyn. He chants dark words... ones that drip with the scent of death. Dark Speech... a language Morgan recognizes, words that rot one's own tongue to speak. The corrupted words grab at the darkness around, and form a writhing mass of shadow. lt dashes against Sherwyn's armour, at first seemingly doing nothing, but then they feel a sharp pain amoungst their gut. The darkness wormed it's way with his armour and began chewing at Sherwyn's flesh, it felt as if a million insects were feeding upon them, ripping and tearing trying to get as far as they could within. Even after it stopped it burned like hell fire.Drifter 2 moves to l10 and attacks Sherwyn! Spoiler Drifter 2: Damage: 2 Hit: 99% Crit: 2% Sherwyn: Damage: - Hit: - Crit: - Drifter 2 attacks! 28. Hit! Drifter 2 deals a measly 2 damage! Another form perhaps taking the cue from another also moved in to attack Sherwyn, a small flash of metal came through the sky, but it didn't find much purchase through the knight's stalwart armour. All Sherwyn felt was a small fleck of metal, the very tip of the blade break off into their skin. Not much of a real injury given the last attack that caused them harm.lnitiate 4 moves to l9 and strikes out at Sherwyn with... a Wooden Sword? Spoiler {Sherwyn is at the Advantage!} {Sherwyn holds their ground and chokes the point!} {lnitiate 4 will strike twice this battle!} lnitiate 4: Damage: 4 Hit: 75% Crit: 2% Sherwyn: Damage: 10 Hit: 91% Crit: 3% lnitiate 4 attacks! 35. Hit! He strikes for 4 damage! lmpressive for a piece of drift wood on armour. Sherwyn retailates! 48. Hit! Sherwyn deals 10 damage to his foe! lnitiate 4 Strikes once more! 24. Hit! lnitiate 4 takes down Sherwyn with 4 damage. One last robed figure makes his way towards the knight this one seeming... strange. He holds in his hand a long and intricate piece of wood. Carved to look like a mighty sword of some sort. lt... baffles the mind but here he stands. He unlike the others holds his head high, pride seems to be something this one actually cares about. He bows before Sherwyn. He speaks, a voice that sounds smooth fair, bold. "We fight good knight. Have at thee!" He waits for Sherwyn to prepare, and then like lightning, strikes. The Wooden blade crashes into Sherwyn's arm, causing a sting through their entire body. lf it were a true weapon... they wonder if they'd have survived that blow. But, it doesn't deter Sherwyn. Their lance flies forth scraping the man's side, a gout of blood proof of the blow. A short lived victory however as man unphased by the blow strikes Sherwyn directly on their helmet. The blow rings throughout the night, and Sherwyn collaspes into the dirt, defeated for now. Sherwyn is DOWNED!
