  1. Mim to K-21, training bow Shaman D to D(eath) As her arrow sunk into the shaman's body, she pointed towards the woman in armor who had swung at Arthur after almost despondently talking about a life lived. "This doesn't have to be the end of your life, you know. Or any of your lives." She paused, looking at the body of the shaman... "Well, any more of your lives. The point is... Put down your weapons. Leave now. Or join us. We have the prince of this country on our side. He's been abandoned by his father for no reason. Tossed into a foreign jail by your commander. A
  2. "Oh... Shut up Baldur. Just shut the fuck up. It... It was meant to confuse him, distract him. Make him focus on other things and maybe make him mad. Because if you let your emotions control you on the battlefield, your opponent is already winning. Kinda like you are right now. Maybe it didn't work but you can just fuck right off and keep your opinions to yourself."
  3. "I would rather be the most common of wenches in the seediest of Rian taverns than be a slime bellied coward who simply follows the weak and petty wills of a tyrant king. You aren't even worth killing, but we'll do it anyways to send a message to that failure of a father that we're coming for him next. Fuckface is too nice for you even. I'm bored of this conversation and bored of you. Maybe we'll let you go back to your master just so you can tell him about this." Mim to L-24 She wanted to make him mad, she wanted to prove a point, she wanted... She didn't even know wha
  4. Mim looked up at the eye. So this man was the reason that Crimson had been locked up. On the one hand, she almost wanted to thank him. If it hadn't been for him, she probably would have never met Crimson. On the other hand... Moving deliberately into the view of the eye, she made a universally recognized rude gesture and then cheerily yelled out, "Hey, fuckface, we weren't going anywhere. You're not going to stop us, I promise you that. Oh, and I have about ten arrows here with your name on them, just as a little thank you present for making it so Crimson here got to be a part
  5. Glare real hard at the nomad, P23, equip Greatbow, vuln Lenore
  6. Kane to N-25, dart Shaman B Crimson to D-24, fire Nomad A, press the assault on Shin
  7. Uhhh unless I can have 3 C instead of 2 C and 1 B, the only ones I can take are the NPC ones. If I can take a third C... Gimme Fey. I'll circle back to Baldur when I have a 4th slot
  8. Mim let the hug continue. It was nice. Arthur felt so comforting in that moment. She could have stayed there forever... But she knew she couldn't. After a long moment, she finally pushed back slightly, looking up at him with a smile. "For now, all we can do is live in the moment, right? You'll be great, I promise. And you'll have all of us with you. Even me. I promise." She hesitated, a small blush creeping up onto her cheeks, and then she quickly stood up on her very tip toes and kissed Crimson on the cheek. "T-there. For good luck. And to remind
  9. Mim hesitated for a long second and then gave him a quick hug. "I believe in you. And so does everyone else here, I'm sure. And it's not like you'll be alone. Virtuous will still be your family. And I'm sure there would be people here who would go with you if you asked. Like Baldur. Or... Justine."
  10. "I mean... Same. We both have that side of us. But you aren't scared of me, right? And I'm not scared of your temper... It's something people in our country struggle with. The fact that you know that and don't want to let it control you makes you heaps better than your dad already as far as I'm concerned."
  11. "Well, I mean, you aren't your father, are you? You have to understand, the people don't know you at all. So while there will be the whole scared of royalty thing as a general practice thing... I don't think they'll hold your father against you. I mean, I didn't. I don't see why they would either. You're different from your father. They'll be able to see that. Just like the rest of the people will. Maybe the throne doesn't have to be suffocating... You'll be different from your father, so maybe it won't weigh so heavy on you then."
  12. "Yeah... Unless we completely change how our government works, there will be a power vacancy if you don't come home eventually. Which will lead to all the nobles fighting to try and take the throne..." She knew that there was no point in trying to argue about killing his father. Realistically, if he thought it was for the best, she wouldn't be able to dissuade him of it. But she could at least try and make him face his destiny face on. "I'm sure my parents would love to meet you though. They might fall over themselves if they find out that you're a prince, but you
  13. Mim couldn't help the small giggle that escaped as Sid named the lance but quickly smoothed her face into a more serious look. "Thank you Sid, it's very nice. And I'm sure it will do a great job in combat. I appreciate all the work that you put into this." She gave him a pat on his shoulder and then slung the spear into a holder she had attached to her backpack. Giving him a smile, she wandered over to Crimson and gently tugged his jacket sleeve. "We'll be ok, right? We're going home but... It's not for a fun reunion. I wish I could take you to mee
  14. "I love you too, Lucy. Now just keep on relaxing. Things will be ok." She turned towards Baldur and sighed. "She'll be ok. But you really should have warned her. Even if she is old enough to drink it, you still shouldn't have let her do it without knowing. As for you having alcohol right now at all... We'll talk about that later. Alone." There was a promise there. A very worrying, threatening promise, but a promise.
  15. "You absolutely could have said no. Or said, 'Sorry Lucy, there's alcohol in this one. Are you ok with that or do you want to wait until I make you a new one'. And fine. If you're ok running away while she needs help, be a coward and go tell Kane you're leaving." She was mad. Her tony was as icy as her homeland and then she abruptly turned her back on Baldur and knelt down by Lucy, a soft smile appearing on her face as if she had completely changed moods. "Hey now. Hey. Lucy. Come here, look at me. You're fine. You don't deserve anything bad. You escaped from a ter
  16. Oh, heat stroke. Ok. They hadn't been out that long, but maybe she just wasn't used to the sun after having worn that cloak for so long. "Ok, well, I think that's best treated with fluids. So, lets give her some of your drink as a quick fix and then..." And then Lucy spoke up. And that was not the reaction of heat stroke. No, Mim knew exactly what was going on now. She crossed her arms, drew herself to her full, very unintimidating height, and glared at Baldur. "You gave her alcohol. And you didn't tell her what was in it? Were you trying to get he
  17. Mim had been enjoying the water, but she had turned back to see what the rest of the group was up to just in time to see Lucy throw up. She immediately started heading back to the beach, with a quick apology to Fey. "Sorry, I need to go check on Lucy..." Quickly arriving at the group, she knelt down next to Lucy, and glared up at Baldur. "What happened? Why is she sick?"
  18. Mim paused, then tossed her hat onto Fey and dove into the water completely. She had thankfully had the foresight to remove her other clothing besides the swimsuit, but perhaps she should have left the hat back as well. Too late for that now. She resurfaced with a huge grin on her face. "It's so nice! Maybe a little cool, but nothing compared to the snow. And when combined with the heat... I could stay here forever and be happy I think."
  19. Mim was delighted. She couldn't believe everything she was seeing. The pale sand glittering in the sun, the bright blue ocean reflecting the rays like diamonds, everything was so much better than she could have ever dreamed. Giggling, she grabbed Fey's arm and pulled her forward into the ocean. Splashing in to her waist, which left the other woman still relatively dry, she gushed, "Oh Fey, it's perfect! How could you have ever left the ocean if it's as beautiful as this?"
  20. The two girls quickly found the towels, a nice healthy selection. Mim grabbed the first big one she found, a simple grey one, and wrapped it around her own body. "Here, see, like this. I'll get this one, you get one you like, and we'll match. That way you won't stand out at all. Does that work?"
