"Ok, but I'm going to help, ok? Many hands make light work!" Oh gods, not more of her mother's sayings. What next? She'd fall in love with someone like her father? Focus. One problem at a time. "Well, we can figure that out later. For now, food. Come on~" With that, she headed out the door, ready for some more good food.

"Ah, er... Yeah... Yeah. There's this new guy. I don't remember his name. He 'proved' himself by stealing a bunch of stuff from us with wind magic. Makes me think we need to set up more guards. Or move spots. If someone can sneak up on us so easily. Anyways... Hmm, guessing that instrument was yours? Unless it was the ribbon but like... Well maybe. Either way, all the stuff is downstairs. You can get it after breakfast, don't worry!" She smiled at him, glad he was willung to listen. "If you want, I can do some tidying up while you eat, but I really think you should be d

Mim sighed looking around the room. This wasn't as bad as Crimson had made it out to be but... She shook her head. "Right then. We're getting some food into you first, but then we're going to need to figure out what we're doing about this room. You have to take better care of yourself! You're a valuable member of this team after all. And people care about you. You don't want to be making Liza worry about you, do you?"

"Shin, are you ok? Hang on, I'll be right in!" Rushing over to her shared room with Liza, she grabbed one of the few items that she hadn't lost. Her backpack, mostly empty at this point, as they had stolen her herbs, but tucked deep in a hidden bottom were her brewing implements. And more relevant, a small canteen of water that she had refilled last night. She always kept some on her as it was vital to most of the mixtures she made. Rushing back, she pushed open his door, and ran over to him. "Here, take a drink. It's just some water, don't worry." She was so focused on him that it

Mim had winced when Arthur came in yelling, but he had thankfully calmed down. It seemed like he was busy talking to Ferdy anyways, but something their new thief had said was echoing in Mim's brain. Need to go check on someone... Shin! Shin hadn't come down yet, and that had slipped past her too easily. If she was going to help him, she needed to notice things like that! She turned around and headed back up the stairs. Kane didn't need her anymore. That had been about the coat. Nothing more. So she needed to focus on Shin. Crimson was fine without her. Shin needed help. Not Crimson.

Min frowned slightly at that request but decided to not question it. Following Kane downstairs, the frown deepened at the sight. "I would give that coat back, whoever you are. You clearly took it from my room but it's not mine and I don't make any promises about what the owner of it will do if he finds you with it. And I can't say I would be inclined to stop him." It wasn't her place to stop him anyways. He was a prince, he could do what he wanted. Though speaking of Crimson, where was he? His couch was empty...

"Yeah! We'll help him, get him some new clothes, maybe have Fey toss him into the lake if he doesn't take a bath... But it's fine! We'll help Shin feel better about himself and look better while we're at it. I bet his hair could use a brush, I'll have to do that at some point... It can suck to brush your hair when it's all tangled and everything... We've totally got this!"

Mim smiled. "That's awesome. It's really cool to hear how much you want to help people! I think anyone that's willing to stand up for the weaker people who can't do it themselves is a great. It's nice to see that we ended up with a good group of people. Well, at least a mostly good group..." She trailed off awkwardly, staring down at the ground and then quickly changed the subject. "Speaking of good people, do you want to help me help Shin? I feel like... Well, I feel like some people have obviously accepted his current situation, including himself. And

"Well you're free to rant if you want! I like hearing about what people are passionate about, just like I enjoy talking about the things I care about! If you have something that's important to you, you shouldn't apologize for it. That's the way I see it at least. Well... Unless you're being rude about it. But that's a more general thing. Which is why I was glad to see Crimson apologize to Justine. He's a good guy, he just..." She sighed. "Well, I think he has a lot of baggage. He seems so sweet around me and then he just loses it around the next person. Hopefully being

"Well good. That sounds like something I can get behind. I don't want Ria getting involved with any sort of war..." She frowned, thinking about Crimson. His father... He had to be involved in all of this. No wonder Crimson was getting involved in the group. It was an easy way to get back at his dad... Still, it couldn't be easy, could it? Crimson getting involved in all of this. Well, it was his place to worry about, not hers. He knew what he was doing, being a prince and all. "I'm glad that you found a group to support your beliefs. And, I have to say, we did appr

"Oh good! Yes, I'm excited about meeting everyone, it seems like they all want to make friends for the most part." She flopped down on the ground, aware of the yelling below and trying to ignore it. "I do want to know more about the goals of this group though. I mean... I know vaguely. But I was never too involved with politics back home. With it being a kingdom and all, there wasn't much reason to. We were much more focused on our work. So while we heard of Virtuous once or twice, it wasn't something big."

"Good! I'll be honest, I'm sort of glad that I got to room with you, especially because you are newer here. It's a little intimidating to think about all of these people who know each other... It also helps that I have a bunch of other people joining with me! Especially Fey! She's great, and I'm glad she stayed with me. Though... my father may have killed her if she had abandoned me so..."

Mim wandered back to her new room after dinner had finished. It seemed like Liz had ended up back there before her, so she smiled at the girl as she took a look over her new space. "Hey! How are you doing? That was a nice dinner, do you guys always eat together like that? It seems like you're more like a family than anything, which is nice to see."

"Oh, yeah... That makes sense. I should probably get some other clothes at some point, but this jacket is just so comfy... Oh, you could probably leave that in Liz and my room, if you wanted. I mean, if there's nowhere else to keep it..." What was she doing? He was a prince! She wouldn't be able to have the same casual relationship with him anymore. That just wouldn't do... Even if he was rebelling against his father now, he was still going to go home at some point, right? And so he'd be king some day. She had to remember that. "O-of course, if you have a better id

Mim glanced back at Crimson and smiled. "Yeah? Ok... I'd like that, yeah." She headed out the door in case Crimson had any last few words for Orchid, but waited just outside for him. Once he'd exited the room as well, she turned to him. "So... I don't really have much in the way of stuff. Obviously. So there isn't much to do in the way of setting things up. I'm going to be rooming with Liza, so that's nice! Uhm... I guess we could... walk around the house and check it out. Or the area outside it... I don't know... W-what do you want to do?"

Right, ok, she had to talk again here. He'd apologized, the two of them had a nice moment... Time to talk. Right. "S-see? That's better, isn't it? We're going to be working together now, after all, so we should all try to get along! H-ha. And he was just trying to help you. So... it's all good. I uh... I should go, leave you two with whatever you were up to... S-sorry about barging into your room like that. It wasn't very polite of me and if I'm going to tell him to apologize, I need to apologize too..." She started reaching for the door. She needed to get away, fi

A game of chess, huh? That didn't seem quite right, but she didn't know Crimson that well. Maybe he was the kind of man to get upset over a game like that. It wasn't unheard of. And Baldur was right, she was being rude at barging in... She had been about to apologize when Crimson spoke up. His words both confused her and warmed her. She smiled at him, glad to see that their talk earlier had left something changed in him. He wasn't going to lie to her! And... A prince. Her prince. Some day destined to be her king. "O-oh... S-so all this time..." What sort of reactio

Mim had been about to open Shin's room when yelling errupted from the room Crimson and Baldur had entered. Growling an explitive under her breath, she pivoted and headed for her new destination. If that healer had done something... Still. Better to focus on Crimson first. Pulling open the door, not caring about how rude she was being, she marched in, shutting the door behind her. "Crimson. What are you doing? I could hear you yelling down the hall! You should know better, we're guests here still even if we are joining. Now. Are you going to tell me what's going on or are you going

Mim frowned as Crimson ran away from Shin's room. Surely it couldn't be that bad, could it? She started to climb the stairs, calling out behind her, "Oh good, Liza, it's a deal then! I'll room with you. As for you Crimson, you need to stop overreacting. Surely his room isn't that bad. You can suck it up and deal with it, I know you can." She'd reached the top of the stairs by now and was headed for Shin's room, determined to see what Crimson was overreacting about.

The hideout wasn't the fanciest, but it was enough. Sharing rooms was going to be fine, Mim was used to that. But Crimson seemed upset about it, so she smiled up at him. "Oh come on Crimson. You'll be fine. You should try rooming with Shin! He's plenty nice, I promise! And... I wouldn't mind rooming with Fey, but I would also be good with rooming with Liz if you want to room with someone else, Fey!"

Mim smiled up at Fey, seemingly perfectly innocent in all of this. "Oh nothing~ I just had a few questions for him, and he was very sweet and answered them for me! I just wasn't sure how much he wanted to share with other people so I asked him in private."

As Crimson slowly walked beside her, she paused, looking up at him, a thoughtful look on her face. Then quickly, she stretched up on her toes and planted a soft kiss on his cheek. "Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me that. I'm glad that we ended up meeting and even more glad you decided to stay with the group after all of that." She turned back towards their destination, cheeks bright pink at her own boldness.

Mim smiled, looking up at Arthur as he blushed too. "I'm not planning on changing, don't worry. And... beneath all that bluster, you're a nice person too, ok? So don't convince yourself otherwise." She reached out and tugged his sleeve again, gesturing towards the rest of the group. "Wanna head back to everyone else? That's all I wanted to ask. Unless you have any questions for me! Fair's fair of course~"

Mim hesitated for a second and then flung herself into Crimson, holding onto him tight for a few long seconds before mumbling with her head buried in his chest, "I... I'm sorry. I shouldn't have pushed, but I just... I should have known by your reaction to him that it wasn't a comfortable subject but I wanted to know... C-can you forgive me?" She'd been holding the hug for probably longer than was normal and as if realizing this, she suddenly released him and backed up a few paces, her cheeks tinged pink.

After having dragged Crimson a safe distance away from everyone, Mim turned on him, the sweet charming attitude gone as she crossed her arms and stared at him. A few long seconds passed, and then she finally started to talk. "Why did you lie to everyone? Well... I guess I have an idea why you lied... But you did lie? Didn't you? About your name, I mean. Engarde isn't a last name, and the way you fumbled for it... Who are you? Really, I mean. The warden said he was going to ransom you, which means you're important to someone. And not someone small either. My father would have
