  1. G-16, twang the fighter which downed Crimson with her very large very good bow
  2. "Thank you... Crimson, take a few moments and rest." She reached out and gently rested a hand on Tabitha's shoulder before quickly letting it fall back down to her side. Time to move. H-17
  3. "Goddammit CRIMSON! Oh, you are so dead once this battle is over, that was the most boneheaded move I've ever seen, how dare you do this..." Her ranting continued as she moved, barely paying attention to the words she was saying as she knelt down next to him, pulling out various potions and applying them to the wound. "You're not going to die here, because I'm going to make sure of it because I'm the only one that's allowed to kill you after that stupid idiotic move!" J-16, vuln Crimson
  4. Mim flinched but it was hidden behind Crimson as he jumped in front of her. But still, a deep breath, and then she stepped out from behind him, leveling her bow at Death. "Just try it. I can release this arrow before yours hits me. I'll take you down with me, you bastard!" There was only a very slight quiver to her voice, but her hands didn't shake as she kept the arrow trained on her enemy.
  5. "Hmmph. You, dead guy, Death, whatever. Ever consider that being a dick to your followers isn't the best way to make them like you? That poor girl there looks terrified of you, she really would be better off being pretty much anywhere else from what I see. I don't care if you think you're some group of bad guys, you're just an asshole." Mim grabbed an arrow from the sheath at her side and knocked it, glaring at the hooded man. She was sick of him already.
  6. Mim hopped out of the wagon, a big grin on her face as she waved to Lily. "Hello sleepy head! Feeling any better? If that's your 'brother' there with the anger issues, you really oughta just come chill with us. Most of us are much nicer, you know? He just seems like a rude meanie."
  7. "Bye bye Lily! If you ever get bored just following your brother around, you should come find me! You seem like fun!" Mim waved cheerfully at the two leaving with a grin.
  8. "Yes sir, Phoenix. I'll make sure to keep a good eye on him. Promise! We'll whip him into a fine upstanding member of Virtuous before you can blink. Right, Anvil?" --- As they walked out to the wagon, Mym naturally fell into step near Fey, a small frown on her face as she contemplated the departure of Ferdy. A shame, and something she would have to consider more in the future. For now, there was a new mystery right in front of them. Walking over to the sleeping foliage covered stranger, she reached out and gently poked them in the shoulder with the tip of her bow. "Uhm, good morning. You seem to have fallen asleep in a foolish spot..." The fact that they seemed to have fallen asleep in the bushes originally meant one of two things. One, they were homeless and had nowhere else to sleep. Or two, they were meant to be spying on the group and had fallen asleep. Either way, honey attracted more flies than vinegar, so politeness came first.
  9. "Well, I'm glad that you can trust us. It's really nice having a good source of weapons and plus it means we've gained a good companion. I'm just glad that I can help you a little bit in my own way."
  10. Ari stared at the person who showed up and claimed to know Nickles and more importantly, to be a mage. Popping up next to her, he grinned. "Magic, huh? What kind of magic? Anima magic? Or light magic? Or what? Are you really a good magic user or are you just claiming that? Lotsa people think they're good at magic, yknow. Very few of them actually are."
  11. "Oh good! I'm so glad I can help you out like this! I mean, you were just so helpful with getting us all of these weapons, and everything. I have to say, I was impressed with the work you did on Justine's sword. We're lucky to have someone like you on our side."
  12. Mim wandered over to Simeon and grinned at him. "Hey! So, I was wondering. You know your potions you sell? Well, I was thinking, maybe I could help you with those. I mean, they aren't exactly the strongest I've seen, and I feel like I could probably make them a bit easier than you. Do you mind if I help?"
  13. Mim pulled her mask off gratefully and tossed it over her shoulder without a second thought. It only registered that perhaps that was not the best course of action when she heard the soft thunk it made as it landed. That didn't faze her for more than a few seconds though, and idly scratching the now exposed area of her face, she frowned, staring at the gem. Finally, she got up, almost against her wishes and drifted towards it, staring deep into the green center. As she did, she talked, only half thinking about what she was saying, "I've never much been one for being around royalty. Honestly they scare me. I don't belong around them, a simple potion maker like me. But all of that is just me. The others are arguing we should do this by ourselves. As if a small rag tag group of thieves can bring multiple nations to their knees. A commendable plan, but a stupid one." She arrived at the head of the table, near the gem, staring into it, hesitantly reaching out a hand. Something about this... "We're here because I think Phoenix realized that we couldn't change everything on our own. That we needed more support than we could get just by doing things like freeing prisoners and stealing supplies. Though I'm relatively new to the group, so I don't know for sure. And maybe my words have less weight because of when I joined, but... Even if the gods are fake or dead or don't care... Perhaps these gems are the way to unite anyways. Whoever holds them holds the gods and the right to rule, right? Why else would Gul try to take this one?" Her hand almost touched the relic when Stella grabbed her hand and pulled the gem away. Suddenly she shook her head, trying to clear it. "Ah, s-sorry, your Majesty. I got... lost in thought. I was only going to touch it but... Sorry. Oh, err, right. Could you clarify something for me? What did the book mean by crested royal? I don't think I've ever heard that term before."
  14. Mim frowned, poking at her food, not eating, just moving it around the plate. She was towards the end of the table, away from Crimson, the queen, everything. Next to Fey, she was more able to easily hide, both herself as well as her reactions to everything going on. But this latest suggestion finally cracked her a bit. "This is just silly at this point. If we're going to be working closely with you and your people, what even is the point of wearing these masks? The whole point is to hide our identity from those who might harm us. Sure, in public, or when we're around potential spies, that's one thing, but if it's just us and you two, why bother? It just inconveniences us all."
  15. Kerr whistled quietly as Rhian snapped at Cerdiwen and then stalked on past him. Seemed like this commander they were looking for was relevant to her in some way too from what little he heard. Otherwise how would she know he was an asshole? Still, best to keep quiet for now. He didn't want her yelling at him too. Instead he went along with the group, quietly shaking his head at how much this single battle had exposed so many of the weak points of their group.
  16. A quick salute again, this one a bit more sloppy, and Kerr headed off towards the dungeons. Making his way down the stairs, he spotted the two women, accompanied by a third figure he didn't recognize but was clearly not the one they were looking for. "Yikes, not looking pretty down here. At least you managed to save one... Any other leads though? Commander told me to come help you all look."
  17. Mim had managed to hide in a storage closet before Crimson and Baldur had come out of the infirmary, thankful that for once her height was a blessing not an annoyance. It wouldn't have done for them to find out that she was spying on them after all. Still, it had all been interesting enough. And more importantly, she'd overheard that she was needed. Slipping out of the closet after she was sure that there was no chance the two of them were still hanging around, she made her way into the infirmary with a smile. "Well hello there! I heard that you might need a bit of help still?" She pulled out a few ingredients from her backpack, as well as grabbing a few supplies from the stock in the infirmary, before grinding them all together, resulting in a paste that she diluted with fresh water from a water skin attached to the side of her pack. "Here, this should take the edge off any pain you might still have. Though really, you should have asked Orchid when he was in here to give you another dose from his staff. My potions are good, but they're best at bringing someone back from the brink. As much as I hate to admit that someone is better than me, his healing does work better for things like this. Any reason you didn't ask? Besides the grilling I'm sure he gave you, I mean. Hopefully you told him everything that we need to know about what's going on?"
  18. Kerr hadn't done well this battle. A few good strikes, but overall, he had failed his companions. He looked around, the broken castle bringing back a few too many memories for his liking. This wasn't anything like where he was raised appearance wise but at the same time, the atmosphere was too familiar. A grab for power, an absolute belief that they were right... Mom, Dad, you would have liked this man I think... He shuddered, shaking his head to get rid of that thought. Picking up his spear again, he walked over to Johanna, giving her a salute. "Ma'am. Is there anything you need me to do? I know that we still have prisoners unaccounted for, but Cerdiwen and Rhian seem to have that taken care of. I don't like to be useless, and I'm feeling a bit like that right now after that battle."

  20. The plans for a bath sidetracked, Mim couldn't even muster the will to do that after the announcement from Kane. Their fight seemed like a failure at this point, even if they had protected one of the royals. She had at least managed to find some new clothes for Shin, but hadn't had the energy to try and make sure he took care of himself beyond that. Instead, she had headed towards the infirmary, wanting to check in on the thief she had helped. As she was headed there, she spotted Baldur and Crimson entering in before her. Hesitating, she instead stood outside the door, listening in, but out of sight from anyone in the room. Maybe they would ask the questions she had...
  21. "Ah, of course Scarlet, come on. And thank you, your highness." She gave a small bow and headed off in the direction the queen had indicated.
  22. "Thank you Orchid." At least that was... something. "Here, come on Ficus, lets get you cleaned up, alright?" Grabbing Shin by his least blood covered arm, she dragged him away from the group to Stella. "Excuse me, your highness, might you tell me where the baths are, as well as some spare clothes perhaps? Unfortunately, one of our men got injured enough that his clothes need replaced."
  23. Mim had considered following Kane, but had decided against it in the end. Instead, she collected her arrows from the fallen body of the enemy leader, and had stood there, staring into the distance for a few long moments, before her thoughts were interrupted by shouting. Whirling on the group, she quietly but forcefully started in on them all. "Can we not? This is the second battle in a row that we've started fighting immediately after. Orchid, if you can't deal with Ficus, just go help someone else that needs it. There's no need for you to berate him every second. Let other people that can help him in a nicer manner help him. Mink, Scarlet, I know you want to help, but yelling isn't the way to go. Do you really want to have to get Phoenix involved again? Seriously?"
