  1. It's the Mercy of destruction of course. That's what makes it funny.
  2. I wasn't expecting anything news related this month anyway really? Like December is Christmas time (or holiday season for others who don't celebrate Christmas), that's a really busy time. Like a month from the November one sounds good on paper but once you realize that December is filled with holiday time then you think to yourself, 'wow I do not have the time to actually be working on this, I need to focus on the holidays and such.' Then it starts not being great time. Plus seasonal depression risk for some of the dev team, and it becomes a boiling pot of bad potential things happening. So taking December 'off' so to speak is a good idea. And if you manage to get ideas during that, just write it on a little notepad and keep it to the side while you focus on the holidays. Good that you seem to be doing fine though, as is the rest of the team. Wish the mod team a good holiday!
  3. In fairness of course the guides wouldn't reference the renegade/oblivion routes. They were (technically) announced officially in this post! It's also fair because up until this announcement of the two routes, the bad choices in-game never actually did anything (baring an exception involving the hidden library quest). Nothing substantial at the very least besides that bonus scene with the twins. So this is more confirming that there is going to be more built off from those points.
  4. Loving the idea of the two endings! Or 4 if what Zumi says is true and accurate (since there will likely be no other information at the time. Gotta keep the suspense and surprise there after all). Of course for the most part a large majority of people will see the paragon ending first unless they're on a second V13 playthrough to see what happens when you go full evil. No person generally goes on the bad route first unless it's a genuine blind playthrough and the choices leading up to said bad ending are obtuse/difficult (SMT4 fans while I have never played the game I know it was infamous for that). Regardless I'm sure you guys will be able to figure it out. Other than that I wish you guys luck with the development! Take care of yourselves and take breaks when needed.
  5. I like the idea of low tier legendaries being catchable. Especially if they're like, quest ones too, like the ones we see in the main story minus the Latios and Latias. Serves as a narrative buffer as well since Team Xen is much more deadly then thought of and this base raid that'll be going on in v14 I think it is? The one where its like a 3 parter. So the idea of grabbing some legendaries of your own is great. Plus like they got a few legendaries somewhat as well so it evens things slightly. That regional form is really pretty thought! Got a feeling it's the bronzor family. Gotta be fancy with em mirrors. Other than that I wish you and the team well! Good luck, take plenty of breaks if need be, and just overall do well with the game.
  6. Probably a bit much to ask, but maybe have a pdf version as well? If people don't have word and all.
  7. God seeing the blue Mimikyu is not great. Like fine it was part of an earlier version of the game, so sure I can get it. But the red and black is so much better for it. But whatever, V10 is this version you're playing, so I gotta deal with all the weirdness of early looking sprites and locations. Including that boat. There were not that many trees on it. Or any trees at all. Maybe it's a stretch, but there was a time where egg pokemon hatched at level 5 right? Or was that only for fossil pokemon? Because maybe because bad different future, most of the rules changed. Specifically for plot reasons but still. The montage was great in all honestly. Even in V13 it took literally a day for the egg to hatch. We're on a boat with supposedly only 4-5 islands left in the world, there had to have been some time passing by. Besides that though good work on this part, even if not much really happened.
  8. Yeah starter gyms have about 4 pokemon each up to around the 9th gym leader, where they'll start having 5. I am not sure at the moment if near the end it goes to 6 but that's what it is right now.
  9. It's a gimmick that'll be forgotten by the next game so it's whatever. And while it is a bit cool, it's much less cool once you realize that you basically trade weakness out for another. So if you crystalize into a fire type, good on you for no longer being a grass type. Just instead now have all the weaknesses of a fire type pokemon. And from what I see of it, it's not like a second/third temporary type either. It just overrides the others. Helpful in a pinch, but single types tend to have a decent chunk of weaknesses depending on which one it is.
  10. Thanks! Weird how I wasn't notified of this. But whatever, now I know. Thank you regardless, and second gym isn't that far I'm pretty sure.
  11. It's more or less on the tin, but I want to give this game a try sometime, but I just need to know in advance whether or not trade evolutions are a thing or not. Never got that answer during the Ep 5 discussion, so I figured to make my own topic here. Probably will get deleted once the question gets answered, just wanted the question answered.
  12. That's basically later game stuff. Grand Dream City is basically the 'point of no return' up until you get fly.
  13. As confirmed on Jan's Tumblr account, the mining cave in Akuwa Town was planned to be postgame. As, and I quote, "Cerulean Cave type deal." So yeah we won't be getting it for a long while but we can speculate as to what it could be.
  14. I forgot about Insurgence yeah! Never played it before but hey neat that there's a bug/dragon there. Didn't really think about megas but yeah it counts.
  15. News to me. Wouldn't be surprised though (even though I haven't played reborn). We still have an entire 4th island that hasn't been shown yet, the Artrica Region. So if plot things, postgame or not, it may happen there. And remember, the plan for V14 so far is to be a 3 parter or something. So whoever said that I would take with a grain of salt until further information or the next time the devs open up a QnA.
  16. Ay the Sewaddle line looks cute! Wonder how different it'll be compared to normal Sewaddle. Still good job on the team for all their hard work! I also find it funny how this is so far the only bug/dragon pokemon (that I am aware of) I've seen so far, fangame or otherwise.
  17. I think so far (don't quote me on this) as mentioned on one of the other dev blog posts, the plan is to see how they integrade them in Scarlet/Violet since there's an image of Hisuian Zoroark in-game. Not surprising considering that Legends runs completely differently to mainline games in moves, power, and stats. So while they won't be in this update, they might be in like, V14 or 15, or whenever. Keyword on might since the team could just say 'no' to Legends pokemon and ease the workload a little.
  18. Eh crests aren't perfect. Maybe return is a buggy move with it because of the friendship mechanic.
  19. Think the Lunala bit is more of a funny coincidence then anything. Like oh this person has the same name as a pokemon how strange. Plus like, I can see Lunala being a legit name outside of pokemon. Meloetta is unexplained as of now though I can see it as like a family crest kind of pokemon. Storm-9 is also a mystery as of now as well besides what little we already know about it.
  20. It's more of a different playstyle. There are definitely some crests (such as Cinccino's) that function better when there's a different ability. Skill link for example is the required ability to have for this crest, since it makes all moves like tail slap (and every single move under the crest) hit 5 times. Always 5 hits means more super effective damage and always 5 hits means that there are 5 more chances for a critical hit (though only the first two hits will trigger a secondary effect). So it's a different playstyle that requires a certain ability. However to make it more balanced, they lower the power of the moves to somewhere around 30 percent of the base power of the move (the 35% part of the crest is a typo, so it's actually 30%). Using Technician makes it so that each of those moves under 200 base power work, equaling stronger multihits, in exchange for less consistant damage output. So your choices are either always hit 5 times, but low power, or have a Technician boost, but have not as many hits.
  21. It gets the story moving yeah. But while hard, it is beatable. I wouldn't bother with it though.
  22. So Melia and Aelita. Because while you probably figured it out after the fact, you're under some illusion that makes you think that you're fighting the two guys in white. So you're really facing against Melia and Aelita while the actual people in white you saw before the battle are your teammates. Edit: Also here's what the togekiss has stat wise. Note that since it's in intense mode, all opponents get illegal EV distributions.
  23. I know the wiki would have something like that, and as for your question about stealing held items that answer is no. You can only steal held items from wild pokemon and never trainers (in-universe reason is that you give it back to them afterwards I think).
  24. The poop thing is a bit funny, though the v13 version is at least slightly more sensible, i.e catching a heracross (which I think is shiny of course because Melia) and getting it to stomp all over Vivian's garden (and because of the update, after you deal with that time travel stuff you can change the future by cutting a cherry tree sapling. Changes route 2 to be less cherry blossom. Just a neat little thing.). Still I wonder how this version of events go down, since it's a different update and all. It'll be interesting that's for sure. And take all the time you need! No need to force yourself.
