  1. Quite true. Aya's advantage in the double format is her multiple target hitting moves, Sludge Wave and Heat Wave paired with the random status effects capability of her field (I was fortunate enough to dodge this though so did she). Then you've got Rademous and Shelly who base their entire double format on a stat move which needs a specific strategy to avoid (the 'Fake Out'/one shot routine).
  2. Just the same if he continues to honor the Nuzlocke rules he's supposedly abandoning what's the point of cancelling the Nuzlocke? The point of this new format is that he's discontinuing permanent deaths. It's logical that this should apply to previous Nuzlocke deaths as well. With this I concur. I was genuinely getting worried about how much the Nuzlocke was stressing him out. Some of it gets me stressed as well and I'll never Nuzlocke, I'm not into the rules. I really don't care what he does as long as he's enjoying himself. Mmm I don't know, I'd say Kiki is where it spiked. Not with a Volt Tackle Alolan Raichu. One hit KO right there.
  3. I concur, I never thought that the roulette was being planned to permanently kill Pokemon off, in that case he might as well be continuing the Nuzlocke. I suggest a 3-5 episode period for each roulette and with Nuzlocke rules discarded I see no reason he shouldn't be able to bring back Tiki and Belly.
  4. I'm glad he ended up battling Sirius since I battled Connal so now I'll get to see the alternate Belrose events.
  5. Ttar: ~Calls Dishsoap and Peanut trash~ "I'm gonna go to the PC" ~Ignores Wanja AGAIN~ "I have nothing of value" *face/Palm* XD Damn Aya was pretty harsh on him. She didn't spam Sludge Wave so hard on me. She'd Heat Wave me with Slazzle and Dragon Pulse me with Draglalge. I also never got random status conditions from the field on either end but it only took me two or three tries. I'm pretty sure he meant in terms of personality not as a trainer.
  6. He did (literally right before he used one on Jauques I believe, hehe, but as the new format has just been introduced and is still in the process of being established I assume this was a free reign episode).
  7. Wow. Having watched his Insurgence run, although I didn't have to suffer the wait due to watching it a few years in the future, he specifies that there were about two years in between seasons 1 and 2 so I was afraid of having such a wait period for this. So glad that's not the case. It's a very Merry Christmas season so far. (Why the hell have I not gotten pop-ups notifications of these while I got them of almost the entire Sword/Shield series and I'm not even watching that since I haven't gotten to play yet?) I'm kinda relieved that he called off the Nuzlocke, I don't think he would have made it much further if he were continuing it. Pokemon Gargantuan and PULSE Abra certainly would have caused a problem for him. Or more like he's continuing the Nuzlocke but swapping out the death rule for a roulette format. I feel every 3 episodes is reasonable, perhaps 5 for the tough areas that really need certain Pokemon.
  8. I'm still making my way through episodes 1-18 and I am certainly not gonna quit an unfinished game file. I don't know if I could do another round of this but part of me would like to try.
  9. Damn. I thought someone said that Ame had reached out to him to explain the scripted loss. Major kudos though. After Ditto!Arceus I came to regret not preparing to take that Garchomp out with Perish Song or Destiny Bond. Additionally, I appreciate being able to see alternate outcomes although this one was no different since I don't expect I'll be playing this again. Hopefully you're right. Everyone spam that 'like' button and comment to show him how much we want him to continue.
  10. I'd like to know as well. I've talked to the woman and gotten shouted at to get out because she's had one Pokemon stolen and is frantic to protect the second but when I tried to enter the building where the Meteor thieves are supposed to be it was empty. Granted it was on unreal time as the follower version came with the mod pack pre-installed and at first it didn't catch my notice. I've since deleted it. I believe the unreal time was after midnight. Does that not count as night? Does unreal time night not count? Am I too late? I'm farther than the OP, I'm in Iolia Valley grinding outside Luna's cavern (I'm not gonna leave to try it again until I've completed the Luna gym battle and whatever other event might be here, it's just too far without fly, really hoping I don't have to wait much longer for that).
  11. Oh gosh, apologies. I found this thread in the recent threads box so had no idea where it was located.
  12. Sheridan Village doesn't sound familiar, I don't believe I've been but there is also a move re-learner in the Onix Ward. She's the girl with the lost house key which can be found in the track rearranging area of the rail net inside the north wall just a few feet from the entrance. The exact location is marked by a jagged dark spot and requires Rock Smash. FYI: When you return the key she gives you a free Heart Scale out of gratitude. I wasn't able to evolve my Sylveon until the 40's (damn happiness evolution) so I had to use her to get Moonblast, Covet (for future Heart Scale and MooMoo Milk farming) Draining Kiss AND Misty Terrain.
  13. If Reborn didn't change it from canon, all egg stats; species in some cases, gender, ability and shiny status are determined when the egg is collected. As for being able to tell the shiny status of an unhatched egg, I've never heard of that personally.
  14. Certainly. I'll PM it. I only use Discord for staff work with another fandom site.
  15. No, this can't be the case. I've never talked to a disappearing woman. According to what I've read, she is supposed to first appear, exclusively in clear weather on one of the benches outside the Pokemon center and those benches have always been empty in my game even when I've modded the weather. I've tried entering and leaving the Pokemon center a handful of times but that doesn't have any effect. Could purchasing the medicine before triggering the event have caused the event to jump ahead? After delivering Annie's medicine, while grinding for Noel, I went back to the PokeMart in search of Revives (which it doesn't have unfortunately) and noticed the medicine was available again so fully intent on circling back to this quest, I grabbed it.
  16. I apologize if I shouldn't be bumping this thread but this issue is persisting. I'm now in between the Radculous gym battle and the Luna rescue event. I'm supposed to be heading to 7th Street but I'm chilling with some side stuff (I completed the Houndour gang quest and the glasses sticker quest). This is at least the third time I've tried since beating Serra and I installed the weather control mod to obtain the Eevee from which I evolved my Slyveon for Radculous (my game was naturally obsessed with rain, it almost never stopped raining) but this teleporting woman in Spinel Town still won't show. Could this be because the quest was only available before defeating PULSE Abra? Is it possible I confused the game because I pre-purchased the medicine (I highly doubt this, just the sound of it is ridiculous but one never knows)? Or is this quest just glitched? Side note: I made an error in judgement. With the glasses quest complete this will now be my 6th sticker and I still don't have the TM floor.
  17. There is no one accurate assessment of this as it depends heavily on the player and their choices (particularly for Corey's battle as whether or not the player completed the Police side quest alters it and while the alterations are slight, for some the Nasty Plot/Roost variation in particular makes a huge difference). I'm working on Radculous currently but I'd drop Shade and Corey down to about a C as it was just Mimikyu and Crobat on their teams that gave me some trouble and might actually bump Radculous up to a S. I'd also bump Kiki up to a B and knock Florinia down to D as she has been the only gym leader thus far that I've been able to beat on the first attempt.
  18. I'd offer to give this a test as I used to be a Macbook user but the SSD died last year and shortly after I bought this laptop which is a PC, the entire system followed, as in it doesn't boot anymore. It just beeps at me.
  19. Perfect, thank you. I assumed the same of the choice to battle Connal or not in Yureyu and was wrong so wanted to be sure this time.
  20. Thank you but what I wanted to know is are any future events effected?
  21. The title states my current position in the game. I'm on the Gossip Gardivior rescue mission and I've been given the choice of either agreeing or refusing to give the Ruby Ring to Adrienn. I've learned that every choice in this game has different effects on the plot (i.e different boss battles in different locations and different times certain items can be obtained). Whenever I'm stuck in the game I always turn to Google before creating a thread here but oddly, Google's not giving me anything on this choice. All it supplies is an old thread pertaining to a second Ruby Ring choice at a later point (which was also good to know but I don't need that right now). Would someone please be so kind as to tell me what the two outcomes of Adrienn's request for the ring are?
  22. I concur, my Charizard has been a rock throughout a lot of the game. In the Charmeleon stage Dragon Rage kind of carried my team, then as a fully evolved Charizard it finished off Kiki's Metacham and it's flamethrower tore through Pokemon Gargantuan and PULSE Abra like butter which as is a commonality, was a saving grace as I'd gone into that event with a different plan I'd formed based on research which bombed pretty badly. I'd say it's a solid B at least if not an A-.
  23. A Link Stone is an evolutionary stone just like the Thunderstone, Water Stone, Fire Stone etc. that replaces the need for trade evolution. I.e A Link Stone will evolve a Haunter into a Gengar and a Kadabra into an Alakazam. (This really needs to be a canon item). Move sets are unchanged. Most Pokemon evolved by trade or stones don't have a large level-up move set if they have one at all but the stones/trading have nothing to do with that.
  24. The only area of the crystal cave that requires Rock Smash is that in which the mining kit is obtained (by talking to a hiker) but that's an optional area. To progress the story, you just need to jump down the (literal) far right side of the sandhills. This will deposit you on a platformed ledge where there is a latter a few steps down. This latter proceeds to the deepest area where the story takes place. Shelly's badge is the official 3rd and that which unlocks Rock Smash. The missing poison badge from the Corey battle is supplanted later, as the 5th badge. To unlock the Shelly battle, you need to talk to her and Victoria in her gym after the cave event, visit the Orphanage, then talk to Shelly and Victoria again.
