With the end of my summer coming up next week, with me beginning the last year of my high school experience, I wanted to ask y'all: where are you in your lives? Whether it's work, or school, or maybe both, what are you doing, in the larger sense of the question?

I really like this quote, because it reminds us that power isn't something that is absolutely good or bad. It's how we use it to affect others. What power you have in your life, when you exert it, do you see admiration? Love? Appreciation? Are those the things you see in their eyes? Or do you see fear? Hate? Repulsion? A desire to strip you of your suit? Are those what you see in their eyes? In the end, it's up to each and every one of us to use what we have, for good or for ill. I really like this quote because it reminds us of that. also because it just sounds really cool, but that's besides the point

I'm pretty unfamiliar with Gen 7, but holy shit I checked Toxapex's stats and it's absolutely horrifying. That's a wall if I've ever seen one. Where would I go about finding a Mareanie? I'm currently pre-Florinia, so I imagine it'll be a while?

I'm a bit torn between the Garbodor and Swalot. I've heard really good things about Gulpin, and consequently Swalot, but statistically, they look similar enough that I wanted to get a larger opinion as to which would serve my needs better. Also, if I'm completely missing something and there was a third poison tank that absolutely wrecks 'em both, please lemme know. Thank ye kindly!

Seriously, how is it with y'all? Apparently there's been sweeping thunderstorms and downpours across the U.S. I say apparently not because I doubt they exist, but because I'm not sure if they're all connected. Trust me, I'm well aware that the entire east coast, or at New York to Kentucky, has been on the receiving end of a pissed off Primal Kyogre. So how is it going with y'all?

I only say it's unusal because Bengali foods usually get overshadowed by Indian food, but my god man, I love these sweets called rosh kodoms, that are basically just really sweet cakes covered in nonpareils (apparently call "hundreds and thousands by non-North American peeps). They're amazing, and the hardness of the nonpareils works so well with the softness of the cake inside, and it's like 3 different kinds of sweet (the cake usually has a core made of something else, typically a different texture of cake), so it can stay extremely sweet without feeling like you just ate a hunk of sugar. 10/10 would recommend. Well, Sandshrew just topped my personal shitlist, as a wild Sandslash scored a Magnitude 10 on my Delta Ivysaur on my Insurgence Nuzlocke. And with that went all my hopes and dreams.

While, alright, I might be just a smidge unknown here (read: no one has any idea who I am as of right now), I hope I can become an active member in the community over time! It's really nice to see that new peeps are still joining and posting (I kinda heard about this game, what, 3 years ago? I was worried it died in that time...) and I'm glad I'm one of them now. So, I was talking to one of my friends who used to lurk on the forums a bit, and I remember him saying that a lot of people seemed to like playthrough threads? Does this still hold? I'm considering starting one, but I'd rather not if it just annoys friends here, I suppose. Things might've changed, so I figured I'd ask.
