  1. I believe V11 came out around December 2018/January 2019
  2. Me who kept putting off catching them all for all the Pokedex rewards until today. Now trying to catch/evolve the last 300 mons before E19 gets launched
  3. By the time it gets access to those Mega Evolutions you can already catch Charmander normally
  4. I use a large roster of mons not just 1 team of 6 so keep that in mind. I think the best starters are the ones that fullfill their role at either a unique level or a level no similar mon can match through a majority of the game. Examples Treecko and Snivy to me feel like they are far and away the best Grass types in the game until Neo-Reborn. Every other run I've had to deal with using Roserade or something else as my grass type which is a pretty noticeable downgrade IMO. Mudkip: Solid all around, Froakie: Protean, and Popplio: Serves as both a strong water and fairy type For fire types I feel like the majority get outclassed by Growlithe/Arcanine (which you get very early) for a majority of the game. Blaziken, Infernape and Delphox through their speed and dual typing all provide some things Arcanine or other fire types cannot I can see the arguments for Charmander, but personally I find the early game to be the easiest section of the game and don't find the opportunity cost worth it. Example: I take Charmander, enjoy an easier early game, end up replacing my Charizard with a far more useful Arcanine sometime around Shade or Aya, and finally get a Protean Greninja at 16 badges in. OR I have a slightly harder time in the early game, get that same Arcanine, and get to use Protean Greninja for a majority of the game. I just don't think making the easiet part of the game easier is worth having to use subpar Grass/Water types until Neo Reborn or missing out on the unique advantages of something like Swampert or Delphox
  5. Blacksteeple is on it's own island near Neverwinter. Just played through the game again and Melia talks about the existence of a entirely separate 2nd castle on Blacksteeple that only Madame X had access too. Going off that there's also the whole 7 kingdoms thing and I'd assume 7 castles a few of which we've already visited. (Can't recall how many)
  6. You hit the nail on the head in the last paragraph. I love Rejuv but intense mode just isn't all that fun for me. The first time I heard about Reborn ~5 years ago it was explained to me as "The Dark Souls of Pokemon". As someone who loves Pokemon and games known for ridiculous difficulty (Souls series, Darkest Dungeon, XCOM:LW etc..) I instantly fell in love with Reborn and Rejuv. I also strive to beat most games on the hardest difficulty so naturally I started an Intense Mode run. Intense mode to me felt a lot like playing strategy games on the hardest difficulty. The player really has to restrict themselves and commit to specific strategies/playstyle in order to win. At first it was fun figuring out strategies. But after a while it turned into a lot of "Well just Destiny Bond that" "I'm just going to reset until they flinch turn 1" and more recently "Time to bring Shedninja out" for every battle. I feel like a big part of what makes RPGs and JRPGs so enjoyable is running around with a strong group of cool characters cutting or blasting your way through anyone who opposes you. To me it's a lot more fun/rewarding to use mons like Garchomp, Gardevoir, Weaville etc. that I had to do side quests for before breeding and EV training them into the beasts they currently are. More fun than going "Only Steel and Psychic coverage on this Metagross? Shedninja time!" I think the formula for Rejuv and it's sister games is near perfect and Normal difficulty is a ton of fun while still challenging enough to feel quite rewarding. But I do feel like Intense mode is just pushing the game to a limit
  7. Melia: Weavile went massive Hazuki: Strong team effort Geara: Krookodile Saki: Krookodile again Pretty fitting since Krookodile has kind of been the MVP from the moment I got it. I never carry it around on me (one of those guys who trains 30+ mons and has an entire box as my arsenal) but when he comes out for gym battles or other big fights he always comes through big time.
  8. A friend and I were doing it today. My +6 Haxorus crit it with Outrage and killed it from half but my friend didn't get so lucky. Honestly spamming DD and Ultra Potions hoping I wouldn't get crit wasn't very fun.
  9. Just got it, its during the day. Thanks for the info
  10. It's been 3?, nearly 4? years so my memory may serve poorly but I remember older versions of Keta2, Narcissa, Valarie, and Amber to be a lot harder than their current state. Right now I'd go with Souta, Valor mountain double battle, and that damn Rift Gardevoir as the hardest fights.
  11. I believe we still have the Dreamyard and that purple looking jungle/forest by the bottom of the Badlands.
  12. After beating Reborn/Rejuv a few times each I played a run of Rejuv with a friend and we finished up 2 weeks ago and started Reborn. His only real complaint was the lack of QOL features in Reborn compared to Rejuv, mainly the Audino trainers and EV training rooms. Glad to see these changes coming
  13. 3 versions worth of content? This will be a fantastic late Christmas present, whenever it comes out. Props to Jan and the rest of the team on their work during the whole pandemic. Last few versions were great and I'm really looking forward to this one
  14. I've completed 4 runs of Reborn (and 4 runs of Rejuv) up to latest release so I think I'm experienced enough to make some arguments because I have a few gripes with this list. Greninja: As others have mentioned this thing is weak mid game since Extrasensory is it's only decent move. A tier IMO. (Could make a case for S tier in Rejuv since you get surf at level ~40) Delphox: 100% up there with Infernape and Swampert in the A+ tier. Amazing move set with great STAB and utility in Mystical Fire, Will-o-wisp and Light screen. Great SPA and SPE combo. Sceptile: Snubbed too. Best Nature Power user in the game and insane speed. Can sweep Serra and Noel. Pretty sure another mon (Chikorita?) was moved back in the game to prevent breeding Leech Seed and Grassy Terrain on Sceptile early. A tier. Incineroar: Good mon but I don't see why it justifies being picked over another starter since Arcanine does everything Incineroar does. Incineroar is slightly bulkier and hits a bit harder while Arcanine is faster. Tho you shouldn't evolve Growlithe til Flare Blitz at 45 so Incineroar is still relevant for Florinia, Shelly, and Shade? Blastoise: This thing is worse than Meganium, theres a reason Squirtle can be caught before Aya, because it sucks. Feraligatr and Serperior: Hard to rank due to their power spikes coming pretty late. I legit rage quit my Snivy run since that thing is total garbage for 57 levels until Leaf Storm. Feraligatr doesn't get to breed DD until Radomus and doesn't get good STAB until the circus Charizard: On the fence about moving this guy up to B. Dragon Rage is really nice for early game but I feel that Start-Julia, Julia-Florinia, and Shelly-Shade are 3 of the easier sections in the game. Add on that Charizard is probably one of the worst final evolutions (probably the worst fire starter final evolution). I feel the early game power spike is much less impact-full than mid and late game spikes.
  15. Rockruff is available early and I would highly recommend catching one. Nidoran (both M and F) are available near the start of the game (make sure it has Sheer Force) Buizel Houdour and Cacnea are both available early and I would recommend picking the 2 that don't match your starter's type. Eevee is available before the 2nd gym. Personally prefer Jolteon but Espeon and Sylveon are really good too. Some good mid-game options, Growlithe, Mudkip, Rowlet, Heracross, Sandile, Swinub, Gastly, Ralts, whatever comes from your mystery egg. Late game mons, Beldum, Weaville (can get Sneasel mid-game but can't evolve it til after the 12th badge) Starly,
  16. Has Patch 2 been released yet or am I just blind?
  17. So Rhyhorn, Elekid, Chinchou, Shroomish, Zorua, and one last mon I can't remember are no longer available through he mystery egg. Meanwhile now Larvitar, Absol, Solosis, Joltik, Mienfoo, and Dhelmise are available. The v11 mystery egg is definitely better than the v10 but Larvitar seems way too strong to be in there. You could get a Tyranitar before Angie
  18. Hey guys, I've been looking around the forums but I haven't found a complete list of all the mystery egg variables. I'm in Sheridan village on a new run and don't want to evolve my Eevee into something that will have the same type as my mystery egg. (EX: Vaporeon or Sylveon when I get an Azurill out of the mystery egg). If someone could post the full list I'd really appreciate it, thanks.
  19. So it appears Sceptilite is available? Not sleeping til I find it.
  20. Just finished up finals and I'm super hyped to play v10. Rejuvenation has been my favorite Pokemon experience so far and I'm really hyped to see where the story goes in this part
  21. I appreciate the help but I posted in the Rejuvination thread no for Reborn.
  22. My mystery egg hatched and I got a Sneasel (almost perfect Attack and Speed IVs too) which I was happy about as Weavile is one of my favorite pokemon. But, as far as I know the Razor Claw isn't currently in the game. Is it worth it to level up Sneasel right now or should I wait for the item to be added. I don't really mind grinding, my team is made of 11 rotating mons
