  1. People who want to be the very best, like no one never was haha @Kenneth it can be that frustating, yes. When I started breeding, it took me a very long time to do all the things I wanted. The problem of your breedings is that 6th IV, as there are no way to make them not random. You should try SpeedBreed mod (on the link I'll leave at the end) where all the aspects of breed remain the same, you just don't have to be running around for eternity. Now, it seems you are breeding for a breeding team, as you are focusing on their egg groups. I have already a breeding team (composed off Remoraid, Spinda, Skorupi, Woobat, Phantump, Snorunt and Charmander) ready to trade. And as a non-orthodox way, I also have a 6IV Ditto. I know, the feeling of have your on mons will not be there, but well, it can speed up things for you xD Here's the link: See ya~
  2. I have a philosophy that if you hit first and hit hard, you won't need a tank xD I do agree that Umbreon should be changed, mostly because I don't like that stalling strategy, but I wouldn't want to interfere on your already built team.
  3. It's been a while since I played Rejuv, I don't remember anything about what is available at this point, but I would exchange Roserade Ability to Technician and give it Magical Leaf, resulting in 90 PWR to the move, doesn't work with Venoshock unfortunately, but does work with Hidden Power, and it's a good coverage for your team and for Roserade itself. Also I would change Ice Fang for Ice Punch in Fera (again, I don't know if it is available). Right now, with the addition of Gardevoir to the team, you would be lacking effectivness against Normal and Electric mons, I would add a Ground Pokemon to the team, so you can deal with the Electric ones, and add a Fighting move in one of your members. For Ground pokemons I suggest Excadrill, Krookodile, Nidoking and Rhyperior (in order of my taste haha) all of them learn the TM Brick Break, also Fera learns it and the move Superpower, but this last I don't think would be a good addition to the team. Ah, I remember well when I fought the flying leader, I wouldn't be able to hit with any of my mons, because it gets a lot of speed boosts from the terrain, climate and a seed his first mon is holding. To mitigate the effects, I used a Altaria with the ability Cloud Nine, so I could at least take one of its boosts off. After that the fight was cake. I don't know if Jan have changed this battle, but I suggest you think about Altaria, at least for rotation. Hope I helped. See ya~
  4. Hey @Tiz, how you doing? Welcome to this Forum. First of all, there is a 'rule' where you should introduce yourself in a post on Grand Hall section of the Forum, you are not bound to do it, but it's nice to know more about you, people around here are very welcoming! But let's get down to business. Well, if you played only the canon games, you may be used to lvl up your mons a little higher and just beat anything that comes against you, and this, as you may have already noticed, is not true in Reborn. But, Reborn offers the best mechanics from the canon games plus a wide variety of mons so you can build various strategies, along with a deep story, that is the high point of the game for me. So, it's possible to beat Reborn with only six mons, and not having to grinding a lot of mons. The key is to plan your strategy, build a well-rounded team, where you have advantages against all 16 types and have coverage for the most of them. Another thing that helps is IV breeding and EV training, both are available throughout the game (after you do the day care quest) but are easier to do after you beat the fifteenth Gym Leader (as you just beat Noel, you haven't met this Leader yet, so I won't spoil). Now, let's talk about your team. You seem to like bulk/slow mons. That is for sure not my playstyle, but I suggest you to use a Trick Room setter, so you can profit from these small speed stats on your team. As you have just beaten Noel, you have already access to the TM, it's in Chrysolia Forest, inside a cave to the east, where you can also get a Eevee (the location may have changed, but I don't know). Coming to movesets, you only doesn't have effective moves against Dragon, think about having a Ice or Fairy mon/move on your team. You should also think well the movesets, you have repeated type moves on your mons, Brine and Hydro Pump on Jellicent for example, if you had Shadow Ball and Giga Drain on it, you would have more reliability on the mon. Still thinking about reliable movesets, aside from Ampharos and Scrafty, your mons doesn't learn a wide variety of moves through lvl up, and you don't have access to most of the TMs and move tutors, think about it too. Using Archeops as example, it learns 5 moves with different types through lvl up and still have some good moves through breeding, move tutor and TMs. Also, is your Scrafty from the event? Because Fire Punch is not a move that comes with lvl up. This, or it was bred xD If you want to stick to this bulk mons, I can't help you much. I'd change Amonguss for Chesnaught and would fit Magcargo in the team, maybe in the place of Golem or Jellicent. Meowstic may come as support to set Trick Room for the team, but more changes would be needed in the team. If you want to go with fast mons, Alolan Vulpix, Floatzel, Meowstic and Drapion are the best from the ones you said. Luxray is a good idea too, but its moveset is really poor, as most of electric mons (in my opinion) and it isn't that fast. If you give us more of how you like to play, which mons you like most and which mons you have in your boxes, maybe more strategies can be created. Hope I helped. See ya~
  5. It's possible to beat Reborn with only six mon, if you put effort into egg moves/IV breeding and EV training and if you mind a good strategy or a well-rouned team, in terms of coverage. I always prefer to build my teams with fast and offensive mons, so my suggestions will be a little biased here. Blaziken, as almost everyone in this forum agrees, is the best pokemon on Reborn. As moveset, I recommend: Bulk Up for a boost if needed, Blaze Kick for STAB, High Jump Kick for STAB too, and Thunder Punch. With this moveset, I suggest using Wide Lens as held item, so you'll never miss any of the kicks. If you are going to give it Blazikenite, then change Blaze Kick for Flare Blitz. Arcanine is a great mon, but you are defenitely wasting a position in your team as Blaziken is already in it. Starmie is one of the water mons I like the most. It has good typing and a great moveset. A downside is that some of it's best moves are not available in Reborn yet, as we don't have access to the TMs, like Thunderbolt and Ice Beam. A good moveset is Water Pledge (until you got Scald) for STAB, Psychic for STAB, Power Gem for Coverage and Rapid Spin for dealing with Hazards. The last two can be changed for the TMs I mentioned plus Flash Cannon and Dazzling Gleam, depending on your needs. Meowstic pulled a lot of weight for me when I first played Reborn, Female one to be more specific. But as people have already said, it loses its reliability as the game progresses, mostly because you get access to mons with better stats. If you want a support, Meowstic can really help, but I think there are better options for it (can't help here, not my playstyle). If you want more offense, the Female has a better moveset. I don't like to build a team with Psychic mons because they tend to be a little limited on their movesets, when it comes to coverage. Starmie can play the same role as Meowstic in your team, with better outcome. Nidoqueen/Nidoking are very reliable mons, very balanced and stronger if you build with Sheer Force in mind. They suffer the same as Starmie in Reborn: the lack of TMs. Also I just don't like using they because they are slow Ampharos also have a good moveset, you have access to Signal Beam and later to Dragon Pulse. You should definetely get rid of Eletro Ball. For your reserves, I like Krookodile, Scolipede, Noivern, Roserade and Sharpedo. For Shapedo, I would go with: Agility, Liquidation (move tutor), Crunch and Psychic Fangs (this one you get through breed), Adamant Nature and Speed Boost as Ability. Now if want any team to be the best, plan before trying to cover the most weaknessess you can with different moves and try to not repeat the same types, so you can get more STABs and so, more coverage. Also try to breed your mons for best IVs and good egg moves. EV training makes a lot of difference too. If you need help with these, there's a lot of information in the forum about it and I can help as well. If you want the easy way, I have all of the mons I suggested here ready to trade xD See ya~
  6. That's not the poing of your post, but it may help in your choice: Your team doesn't have any move to deal with Normal and Fairy mons, maybe Sylvally could come to give your team this coverage. If you accept some hints, your team has three mons with Dark moves, maybe replace one or two of them. I suppose your Greninja uses special attacks, you can teach it Water Pledge in Lapis Ward (which is stronger than Water Pulse), and you can teach it Dark Pulse after beating Luna, then you could replace Houndoom and/or Murkrow and give your team more coverage. Ampharos has a good moveset through lvl up with Signal Beam, Discharge, Dragon Pulse and Power Gem, that gives you many options/coverage in battles, try not to repeat moves of the same type on your mons and so you'll cover more disadvantages. Good Luck
  7. I see. Is there a way to get the v52 so?
  8. Hey guys, how's it going? I'm giving a go on Redux, but I'd like to use my team there, and to have access to them, I intended to use SharedPC. Problem is, SharedPC is the only mod that isn't working. I tried with every other one. Here's the error (the same I saw up there): I'm using Redux and SWM on their latest versions, this may be the issue, but I'm not sure. Hope you can help
  9. I don't know why, but Aya never gave me a problem. People seems to always get stuck with her though. This could happen to you because at this point of the game, having a 6 member team, would help a lot. And specific against her, having Psychic/Ground mons works wonders. I'm assuming you didn't bred or pokemon for perfect IVs, so, try to train your pokemons to have high EVs in the right stats, would help a lot too. Protean Greninja is one of the most versatile pokemon, but you have to decide what you want to do with it: you have water pledge, a special move, and 3 physical moves, and neither of them, in my opinion, are the strongest ones. If we take a look at Greninja base stats, it has more Special Attack than Attack, so I suggest you to go for special moves for it (water pledge/extrasensory/dark pulse/ice beam for future moveset) and since your mons are lvl 45, you can lvl up greninja to 49 (you can buy rare candies for 20k in obisidia ward) just so it learns extrasensory, and delevel with common candies. I don't agree. When I started playing reborn back in E15, Female Meowstic pulled my weight through a lot of gym battles, because of good moveset it has access through lvl up, and good stats, at least for the mid-game. I do agree that there are better psychic options for Meowstic, but Gothitelle is not one of them. I wouldn't repeat types on my team, for better coverage, and having Luxray and Ampharos are not a good idea for me. I'd leave Ampharos there because it has a more versatile moveset than Luxray. Rapidash is the problem for me. I really like the mon design, it has good stats, but the moveset is lame. Unless you already have access to move relearner, then you can teach it some good moves, or you'd be stuck with fire moves forever. Anyway, I'd change it for another fire mon. I think is or will soon be available for you at the volcano. One strategy you can use, is stack revives and use Blissey to tank some hits while you revive your mons, until you get an opening to deal with toxapex. Lvl up Greninja so it learns Extrasensory it's a good idea too. The very point of reborn is to give difficult to it's players, so think you team through and see which options you have at this point, Ame always leave some interesting mons laying around before gym battles. See ya~
  10. I have a really hard time to fit Psychic mons in my teams because they are, most of times, poor on moveset through lvl up, and in Reborn it gets worse, because we don't have access to the majority of good TMs, which includes Energy Ball and Shadow Ball, that are, in my opinion, the only good offensive moves Reuniclus can learn with TM, if you think on a straigh-forward offensive team. I tried, for a while, fit Alakazam on my team, but it's moveset, GOD, only psychic moves, and Shadow Ball/Dazzling Gleam with TMs, a no go to my team. I have some suggestions for better psychic mons, but they are not fit for trick room. Maybe, think about Slowking, it learns Power Gem through move relearner, Water Pulse, Psychic and Nasty Plot through lvl up and it learns Ice Beam and Flamethrower through TM, the last one already being available on Reborn. I know, a Fire move for a Water mon, but I'm thinking about coverage here. With Trick Room setted up, you can deal easily with Grass mons. The same goes to Slowbro, which gives you an extra option for mega. If you pair Earthquake Steelix with a Flying mon, the last will never be hit :P, Excadrill works well with Archeops on my team. Here you are repeating moves from Steelix, which takes out options for coverage on your team. One, as far as I remember, but you can get through trade, or maybe do some jugglery with savefiles an Shared PC mod to get some Let's assume you'll always want to start the battle by setting Trick Room, and every mon on the battle is IV bred and EV trained. (If I'm not mistaken, from the Adrienn on, all Gym leaders have pokemons like this) Now picture a singles battle between us. I know your team, and you know mine. If I start with Greninja, I can easily take out 5 mons with your team before you are able to set up Trick Room. Keep in mind that Trick Room has -7 priority. Maybe Cofagrigus can hold one turn and set it up, but I doubt a bit. . Steelix has high Def stats but very low Sp. Def. Only Primarina would give me some trouble because Greninja doesn't have anything super-effective against it. Now, we continue knowing each other team. On a doubles battle, I can start with Greninja and Weavile, and I can't see you setting up Trick Room again. This happens, first because Greninja is insanely versatile and has access to Dark Pulse (deals with Reuniclus and Cofagrigus), Scald (deals with Gigalith and Steelix) and Extrasensory (deals with Machamp). But mostly because your mons weaknesses are the same, as I just pointed, and aside from Steelix and Primarina, they don't have a secondary type to balance their weaknesses. Even if you don't want to set Trick Room on the first turn, as your mons are very slow, my team would be in advantage. Now, if your opponent take out a Water Mon, how would you deal with it? Toxapex for example, it has great defensive stats and would benefit from Trick Room as well. You'd have Psychic moves to deal with Toxapex as it's also poison, but it would give some trouble because of the defenses + Regenerator abilitie, add the move Recover + Leftover being held, it'd take a while to get it down. Thinking only about water mons, you don't have a Electric or Grass move to deal. The same thought goes to Grass and Ground mons. If you can set up Trick Room though, it would wreck my team, as they all rely on speed to get through. The way I can think to deal is to use Focus Sash on one of the setters. See, I'm not saying Trick Room is a bad strategy, I just don't know how to play with it, but I have to know how to play against it as it f**** up my team.
  11. I think Reborn was made to be played as you would play competitively, that's why you should worry about stuff. That's why Reborn get a lot of players. Tell us your team when it's finished xD See ya~
  12. @Krellian I love talking about my team, this is the best time! haha. Long ago I had the same idea: a balanced team that I could use to beat everything on Reborn without have to change the mons. And I have achieved that. I don't know how to use many strategies, like trick room, so I can't help with mons to use, but if you know how I build my team, maybe you have some ideas for yours. I won't tell how many changes I've done before coming to this team because there were some, but my goal was to have a fast and strong team, to hit first and hit hard, without repeating types (which is really hard) and having super effectiveness against all 18 types. So let's go: Blaziken (Fire/Fight) @ Wide Lens Ability: Speed Boost EVs: 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature Moves: - Bulk Up [Boost] - Blaze Kick [STAB] - High Jump Kick [STAB] - Thunder Punch [Coverage] Blaziken is to be my ace and my mega, considered the best mon in Reborn, has 120 Base Attack and 80 Base Speed, not that fast but with speed boost, it can get faster than any other mon on the team. I use Wide Lens because both kicks have 90% Accuracy and I don't like the frustration of them missing. I'll have to change the moveset once Blazikenite is available. Greninja (Water/Dark/Psychic/Ice) @ Expert Belt Ability: Protean EVs: 4HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spd Timid Nature Moves: - Toxic Spikes / Ice Beam [when TM is available] + [STAB] - Scald [STAB] - Dark Pulse [STAB] - Extrasensory[STAB] Greninja could easily be ace here too, but there's no Ash-Greninja in Reborn, so let blaziken comfortable. With 103 Base Sp. Attack, Protean making everything STAB and the augmented damage with Expert Belt, Greninja is a great sweeper, plus 122 Base Speed, makes one of the fastest pokemons here. Roserade (Grass/Poison) @ Leftovers/Amplifield Stone Ability: Technician EVs: 4HP / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Spd Timid Nature Moves: - Toxic Spikes / Grassy Terrain / Sludge Bomb [when TM is available] + [STAB] - Magical Leaf [STAB] - Extrasensory [Coverage] - Hidden Power Fire [Coverage] Roserade is one of the mons I like most. I have won many Gym battles because of Grassy Terrain + Amplifield Stone. 125 Sp. Attack and a good moveset (if well bred) plus Techinician that grants 50% more power to every move with 60 or bellow. I just wish Venoshock was 60 Power too. Excadrill (Ground/Steel) @ Life Orb Ability: Mold Breaker EVs: 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature Moves: - Swords Dance [Boost] - Rapid Spin [Hazard Cleaning] / Stealt Rock [Hazard Setter] - Earthquake [STAB] - Iron Head [STAB] When I was building the team, I needed a good mon against Electric and Fairy. With good base Attack and Speed, Excadrill came like a glove, plus the Hazard dealing, makes it a great addition to my team. Excadrill would be better if I have a Sandstorm setter, like Hippodown or Tyranitar, and the ability Sand Rush, but none of those mons are to my taste (low Speed ). Weavile (Ice/Dark) @ Never-Melt-Ice Ability: Pressure EVs: 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature Moves: - Hone Claws [Boost] - Ice Punch [STAB] - Throat Chop [STAB] - Poison Jab / X-Scissor / Brick Break / Toxic [Coverage] Weavile is the only one that repeats type on the team (Dark), unfortunately, I can't find an Ice mon strong and fast enough to replace Weavile and I would need to make other changes on the team so it could work properly. The Ability on Weavile really doesn't matter, none is great for the battles, and so is the item, I just use Never-Melt-Ice to make Ice Punch stronger, I could change it for Life Orb or Leftovers. Archeops (Rock/Flying) @ None Ability: Defeatist EVs: 4HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature Moves: - Acrobatics [STAB] - Rock Slide [STAB] - U-Turn [Coverage] - Dragon Claw [Coverage] Archeops was the last addition. Great Attack, Great Speed, nice moveset by lvl up and nice typing. As you can see, I don't think about defenses. If my mons can hit first and OHKO, why would I worry about defenses? haha. Also, I have at least one move that is super-effective against every 18 types so I can cover any mon. And yes, I have beaten reborn, in E17 and E18 without changing any of these mons, I also have used the same team on Rejuvenation, unfortunately, Souta, the flying leader, has a strong advantage with the field and climate there, I had to do an adaptation with Altaria so I could win that specific battle, but at that time, my team was a bit different, I haven't tried with the addition of Archeops. Summing up, it's possible to build a team to win reborn without modifications. You just have to think it well, I can't give you suggestions to your team because I never played with a Trick Room team, but I hope you got some ideas seeing my team. And keep in mind a good breeding process for 5 IVs and egg moves, and EV training, this makes a lot of difference. See ya~
  13. Gotchya'. Would've been easy to create your own tiles, I suppose. Anyway, good luck
  14. You know, I'm very curious on why you would search this information and how you came by it. o.O
  15. Requested Pokemon : Budew/Roselia (preference for Budew) Gender : Any Form : - Ability : Leaf Guard Nature : Timid IV Spread : (HP, Atk, Def, Sp. Atk, Sp. 16. People look after it when playing competitively. A minimun difference in this kind of matches can be game changing. If you want to have an easy time on Reborn, you should consider doing it. IV breeding and EV training take a handful of time, but really pays off. I've been collecting some info about it in the forum for a while, here it goes: For EV training, there are interesting spots for maximize it, they are shown in the first link. The next link is for knowing which EV each pokemon holds. One thing that helps in EV training, besides the power itens, is spreading the Pokérus on your mons. For IV breeding, there are lots to consider, given it takes a lot of effort. I made a guide while back that should be useful to get some information, it's on the first link, also, there are breeding chains for certain mons to get different egg moves, these chains are shown on the second link. There is a mod for reborn that speeds a lot the process, I'll have it linked too: That's it, I think you'll have plenty of information to train your mons better. Also, if you don't want to spend too much time on it, you can ask here on the fórum, people are always eager to help, myself included. Just ask, I have plenty of mons to trade, maybe I have your likings See ya~
  17. @Baezel Are you still in need of those mons? I have both 5 IVs, proper nature and some egg moves, if you want. I don't need anything in return.
  18. Man, what's this? The whole point of Reborn is to gbring a deep and well-elaborated story plus challenges throughout the gameplay. Gamefreak/Nintendo produces easy pokemon games since ever. They are nice to play and all, but you can easily just beat everything using only your starter. Reborn demands you to think your team and movesets, even if you are not 'doing perfect met play'. Reborn gives so many options to build your team, that I didn't mind farming pokemon up. Also we have online play and a lot of players willing to trade well trained mons, just ask :P. I've beaten reborn (so far) with two well trained teams of 6 mons, didn't need to use anything else. I did put a lot of effort to get them, yes, but it was worth for me. I hope you enjoy Reborn more ^^ @MuchoG I favor more tend to favor more fast mons so I would advise you to take out Walrein and Ampharos. They don't fit my play style, that's all. Aggron would stay if you want some tank/setter with Stealth Rock, I'd take him out too. Alakazam is hard to use in Reborn so far becaus we don't have access to its best moves yet (Shadow Ball and Energy Ball) so you would end up having only Psychic moves, and in a long fight like that, variety is a need. I'd give movesets for every one but damn I'm lazy today. So I'll just tell the team I'd use based on your mons: Blaziken, Lycanroc, Galvantula, Sharpedo, Roserade, Jynx. This team doesn't repeat types so you'll have 12 STAB options. The problem is: to have the variety I said, you'd need to have them bred to have all the good moves. Other good options would be: Skuntank, Misdreavus, Honchkrow, Croagunk and Houndour. If you want, I have all of them well-bred and ready to trade. See ya~
  19. Weavile came like a glove on my team. I needed something against Dragon and Flying, since Greninja can't learn Ice Beam so far and I don't like electric mons too much. Weavile has high Speed and Attack Stats (which are mandatory for me) and medium defenses. The problem is that both it's abilities, Pressure and PickPocket, are not really useful, maybe the latter for some battles but that's all. Overall it's a good offensive mon. Mine is Jolly, EVs in Attack and Speed and runs with: Hone Claws (level up), Ice Punch (Breed/Tutoring), Throat Chop (Breed/Tutoring). The last one is open for Toxic (I only won against Ditto-Arceus because of it), Brick Break, Poison Jab, X-Scissor and Fake Out, all depending on the situation. Hope it helps. See ya~
