  1. Darius glanced around the corner, past the doorway that is now serving as a bit of a chokepoint and noticed, just around the corner, a number of knights standing in line. Seeing a chance to do some damage to the guards, he pushed his way to what he believed to be a more advantageous position, equipping his new Nosferatu tome while he is at it. As he does so, he can almost feel the elder spirits being infused with a sort of...vampiric energy. Move to C6, equip Nosferatu.
  2. I couldn't have really used Ludicolo because, well, it's still Bug vs Grass. As for the two Meteor Grunts in question, they are the two grunts that show up in Spinel Town that you talk to, then they challenge you to a battle in Tanzan Mountain. They are really tough because they actually have a really strong pair of teams for the point of the game, including a Toxicroak (With Dry Skin, no less), a Golem and a Seismitoad, among others.
  3. Alright, finally completed another gym leader's worth of content on this run. With that said... Chapter Eight: Weather Blues and Team Revamps. So, I started things off by...rebattling Aya because I am a moron that forgot to save. Thankfully, I defeated her first try, so no issues there. Anyway, the first think I tried to do is get Squirtle. Sadly, I forgot how to. That, and derped weather prevented me from acquiring Squirtle. Ah well, wasn't planning on using it anyway. After that, I decided that I do actually want a Water/Ground. I had three choices to choose from. Ultimately, I went with this: After acquiring the lord of all Slugs (And yes, Lords can be female too), it was time to raid Yureyu. A bunch of boring grunts later, we had a choice: Sirius and Sigmund. And because fighting Sigmund would have meant fighting an Elec Mono in a field that boosted him, I went with Sirius. At this point, I could have went straight to Spinel and challenged Bennett and Serra. However, you know me and I can't resist Eevee or it's evolutions. So I...proceeded to wait a few days because I forgot that the tree in Chrysolia disappears in windy weather at night. Yeah... A quick trip to grab a Water Stone, I got her evolved (as well as Slug Lord who evolved earlier). Anyway, it was time to deal with Spinel Town. First of all, probably the hardest battle against Meteor Grunts in the entire game. No, seriously, these guys actually took me three attempts to defeat. Our reward for it? (I forgot to take a screenshot immediately. I had to take it after training her up.) I have a feeling I'm going to like using her. The training montage actually happened after I lost horribly to Bennett. And with that, it was time for Serra. You would think I'd just execute the same strategy...right? And with that, that battle is done with. It is time to move on to Tanzan where I won't find any new team members but have to deal with Noel anyway. The team as of right now that took down Serra:
  4. I'd definitely be interested in more "unique" tournaments, like the aforementioned Metronome battle, or something like that. So yes, I'd be interested.
  5. Definitely looking forward to it! And oh, I can challenge someone on Hearthstone? Better prepare my Pirate Warrior and Quest Rogue decks nah, I prefer less optimized fun decks.
  6. And I've hit 500 posts. Huh.

  7. Difficulty-wise, I had no real problems personally. Then again, I didn't have any real "unbreakable" walls to get past, excepting the one battle against Lilly's Singles (Before I Move Token'd Thunder Punch on Breloom). Overall, though, I think the leaders should be a bit more considerate towards the number of walls they bring. Some walls are fine, but the entire team of walls is a little much. As far as timetables were concerned, my timezone prevented me from participating in the late session much (Bar that brief glorious moment when it started at midnight for me). The main problem, I saw, is that some leaders rarely showed up during certain times. Lilly, for instance, I believe mainly showed up during Early. I understand, real life circumstances, but it's still something to think about for later seasons. Overall, though, I was pretty happy with the entire thing (bar a few moments when I definitely fell into a bit of despair) and am definitely looking forward to later seasons.
  8. I have to deny you. I call upon you, HUEnd.
  9. The difference is that in Reborn, you get Eevee before the Point of No Return. In Rejuvenation you get it after. And, yes, the teleporter is there now, but later versions will not have it there, and yourself be stuck. The reason why this sticks out more is that it locks out two evolutions while not doing anything to the other six. It basically screws over people who want one of those two evolutions instead of one of the other six.
  10. So, I know some people might be annoyed with me talking this topic, but something I thought about. Having Eevee obtained at the point where it is now, while I did argue a bit about it being too late, but whatever, that is not the point. The problem is the fact that, once later versions come out and we're locked into the GDC region for longer, it greatly screws over Leafeon and Glaceon. Why? Because the only locations Eevee can evolve into those forms are located before the PoNR. I don't know how long we will be locked out of those regions before we are "canonically" supposed to be able to return there, but this does still feel a little rough. I don't know how viable adding a second Ice/Mossy rock would be post-PoNR, but it would definitely alleviate that potential concern.
  11. Darius noticed the severe bottle-neck that their army would have to go through and decided to hold back a bit, to let the others go through first. Hold.
  12. I am going to assume you're going to be flexible with who you use, because I feel like a Thick Fat Dewgong and Thick Fat Walrein are practically mandatory for Charlotte. Also, Cal can easily be destroyed with Earthquake spam from Piloswine...if you plan on using it, that is.
  13. I never EV train, even on the Ice Mono. Also, Wise Glasses only help with Special damage, not Physical. I've given my Wise Glasses to Cryonia. Maybe that's why sometimes it feels like I'm lagging behind, but I just power through with my favorite type. Honestly, an Ice Mono is not as hard as people make it out to be, something I say constantly.
  14. I dunno, even with a Life Orb and Icicle Crash, my Weavile would often just fail to KO. Don't get me wrong, it was quite powerful, but never crucial, like never "This Mon won me the battle". Glaceon and especially Mamoswine took up that particular role. And while I understand that taking hits is not a Weavile's role, it's often hard not to take hits.
  15. Ah, someone else joins me in the Mono Ice campaign. Glad to see that. I am a little surprised you started off with a full team like that. All I had from the start of my run was a Swinub which means yes, I had to take on Julia 6v1. Either way, I managed to make it all the way to the end with only a few hiccups along the way (coughKikicough) In case you're wondering, my team currently looks like this: And I can assure you, Weavile is not as powerful as one might assume. It just gets KO'd too easily.
  16. Well, I don't know how much more I'm gonna be able to be around today, so... Eliminate: Another Retired Shipper
  17. While I was messaged by the Psychic, key thing is that I did not know who the Psychic was. I can't exactly just not vote for role X if I don't know who Role X belongs to.
  18. Okay...well, because everyone seems to be doing it, might as well admit it myself. My role is that of the Red Mage. The main problem with role claiming with this is, well, there is no way the criminal is just going to say "I'm the Dark Seer!" unless they have a literal death wish. Whoever is the Black Void, similarly, wants to be voted out and admitting to that role means they will never be targeted, exactly what they don't want.
  19. "We'll need to watch our backs, as somehow I doubt they won't try to come to us from behind the other locked door." Darius pointed out. If the goons sent to attack them had any way of opening the door, they would probably try to surround and overwhelm them.
