  1. Update: Beat the Mansion sequence, (took down Sirius as Julia so was able to go into Solaris with my own team quite healthy) and then Ceil was comparatively tame (and the first alternate fight I've done in a while) so I now have Fly and am back in the City! Haven't had time to explore around and do stuff yet, and I need sleep, but I did go around and get pictures for Julia and Florina, as well as all of the hidden mons that have been reported but had no pictures for yet. We have over half of them now! Also went and checked the secret tutor with the new party members, but Aya, Cal, Julia and Florina seem to not get any moves from him (or it's bugged?)
  2. As a quick break in the birthday celebrations, does anyone have tips for the Fiore Mansion sequence in Reborn Hardcore with Item ban?

      FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Last attempt for the night was going really well. Changed my route through the early battles a bit, got pretty nice sweep on Orderly John, went into Solaris with 3 pokemon up. Got lucky on a rock slide miss when switching, which let me survive earthquake and get a D.Dance off, so Feraligatr ran through the first half of his team, but was stopped cold by M.Gyarados as usual. Gardevoir took out M.Gara, but fell to Scizor. Honchkrow tanks a superpower, and kills scizor with drill peck + sucker punch for a moxie boost. Another drill peck does a bit over half of Mandibuzz's HP, and then Foul Play takes out Honchkrow easily after superpower+sandstorm damage for a few turns. Would've won if Galvantula had not been poisoned and survived the John fight.

Oh noooo, that's so sad! I really hope you'll be able to pull it off next time you try. Perhaps, with a bit more luck on your side you can defeat them, following the same strategy you used on your last attempt

  4. Thanks, I can go back and get these once I get out of Fiore Mansion because DAMN this sequence is hard @Commander, especially with Item Ban. And there's no way I'm surrendering to Solaris. I've tried the sequence a few different ways because it changes a bit based on which fights you pick. current strategy is to keep my own team as healthy as possible, so fighting the first two grunts as myself gets a heal after that, then I have to beat the next two as florina, which is pretty tough. After that beating Fern as damaged Florina is very difficult, so I instead fight Blake as myself, trying to take minimal damage. Next I have to fight Sirius as Julia, Which is pretty rough, and finally I have to take down Solaris as Myself with the damage from Blake. Closest I got was Onto Solaris' last Pokemon (scizor) from a slightly different sequence, but Gardevoir was the only one alive and so couldn't do anything (went into Solaris with only 2 pokemon alive, after a slightly different sequence of battles) EDIT: Now trying a different sequence that seems a bit more consistant (because beating Sirius as Julia is REALLY hard IMO, I've only managed it the first time. now I fight the first grunt as florina because I can cradily sweep most of it if machamp rng doesn't screw me, then the second grunt batch I have to do as myself (no choice, part of starting as florina line), but its singles which is better for me. because of the clean run through the first grunt, Florina should be healthy enough to take out Fern somewhat consistently so I don't have to fight Blake, then I just have to take out Orderly John and Solaris myself with however much damage I took in that first grunt singles. last attempt I got to Solaris with 3 mostly healthy pokemon left, and ended up losing with only his Mandibuzz remaining on half HP.
  5. I went through the same problem when I decided I wanted a salazzle for my team. I think the earliest option is shortly after getting ditto if you've been following it around, (around gym 5-6) and breeding it with the purified male salandit. not sure if theres catchable ones earlier than than but I don't think I found any
  6. I mean, it was supposedly releasing 'very soon' at the end of last year, but I do think this time it's actually close this time. Now that I've played some of the games here, I don't think it will quite hold up to them, but It will be fun to go back and see what the rest of the game holds, and the deltas/megas are fun to play around with.
  7. Just a quick update, I found Cal and so there's now much more specific details on his location. Once I deal with water treatment and Ciel, I can start getting Info from renovated reborn and stuff myself. Also just wanna say @Commander that optional boss fight in the glitch world was pretty fun, and had great music.
  8. Yea some sort of text file or pdf would be cool because you can't look through the PBS without owning RPGmaker XP, but if you haven't been keeping a record of them as you went or can't directly export them in a reasonably readable format, it would probably be pretty unreasonable to document all the stat/move changes. Having the type ones is still nice though. I assume you'll edit the original post into a proper overview and stuff once you have a version ready to release?
  9. Sounds Neat, I'll be dreading looking forward to it. Maybe don't remove the egg entirely if you don't do the officers, and just move it back a fair amount? It could be a prize in the circus or something. Just wondering, will the download include documentation of the changes and stuff, or would that be too much work? also thought it was about time the OP got some rep.
  10. I noticed when I loaded it up a second time to confirm a couple of the moves that it was a bit buggy and sometimes he just had his normal lines. try changing between members, going in and out of the room/building, and saving/resetting in various places, it should work at some point. it is weird though. The party system is unlocked after defeating Julia and talking to Techie Jonathan somewhere around the grand hall I believe (It'll probably happen automatically as you progress, or at least be obvious)
  11. There are lots of really good ones that I can't remember, but the Bike theme of all things is one that comes to mind, partly because it used the be the Rejuvenation "Main Theme"
  12. RIP I should just stop talking lol. Sucker Punch is an especially annoying move, especially when the AI sometimes has a tendancy to spam it.
  13. Neat trick with the toxapex switch, though my go-to for taking out poison types (especially part water) would be psychic, which against haunter would just be a speed battle.
  14. Lol I went and got the same stuff, You were probably typing this out at the same time I was editing the main post. Emboars move is wild charge. Interesting thought on Fero being a temporary member. this is a good thought as he has no hidden mons, but that could also be because he's the starting member. Also didn't Commander say something about him getting hiddens in future versions? well we'll just have to wait til either Commander confirms/denys, or we find either the temporary members, or another permanent one. also I think that thunderbolt was on shellys volbeat not illumise
  15. Thanks! I assume this is the nature center on route 1 with the tauros and bouffulant EDIT: loaded an old save to get some pictures and information on the tutor
  16. They're pretty rare (like 1% or less I think) so it could definitely be RNG, but make sure you have the latest patch as that could affect it.
  17. Yea the speed boosting ones are pretty strong, and probably deserve to be late on the movelists, but lack of healing makes the difference between setting one of them, and being able to outrun things that aren't super speedy or choice scarfed, and KO things that aren't ultra tanky or resistive, and setting 3+, and outrunning anything that isn't priority and KOing something bulky that resists the move. Playing with item ban has been frustrating sometimes, but I definitely think it's a good idea for balance (as long as it applies to NPCs too like in hardcore)
  18. Honestly, Healing items are the main problem with setup sweeps from experience in the singleplayer game. I can basically never set up in hardcore with item ban, which is good. Simple itself is a fun ability and slightly higher distribustion might be fun, but not on anything too strong. maybe as an alternative option to something that already has a great ability that it somewhat relies on (I.E Simple Medicham with some special moves and calm mind/nasty plot could be a cool alternative to a standard huge power set)
  19. Thanks for the info Sorry this hasn't been very active lately, I got stuck on Charlotte and then Uni has started back up this week so I haven't really played.
  20. Added pictures for Aya's location, as I've now reached that point of the game.
  21. @Damsel Great job on finding something so hidden then, and thanks @Commander for the correction. In other news, I've found one of Cains hidden mons, so that's added to the guide. However, because I don't know if it's the missable one, I'll probably try find both before the Agate Checkpoint. Speaking of the checkpoint, I should finally be able to go through soon because after a couple months of putting it off, I finally did the GODDAMN ADVENTURINE WOODS PUZZLE WHY IS THAT PLACE SO FRUSTRATING. gotta get that sweet sweet sticker for the EV resetting berries though for if something stumps me and I need to properly EV my team to try get past. (Also joltik is nice for my team, and I grabbed solosis and beldum too incase I want to train them)
  22. Just a quick bug report, more for awareness than any need of fixing. 1) Interaction with the faulty healing machine in the wasteland hideout at some point creates two Lanas, one which reacts to the events with the machine, the other just keeps saying Aya has gone off with Hardy somewhere. 2) All party members use Vero/Fero's biking sprite when the bike is used. I assume this is because the bike sprites haven't been created yet and will be added later. the actual bug comes in when you switch party members while biking, it switches to their on-foot sprite instead of their biking one, so you then run around at the speed of a bike. this doesn't seem intended as when switching members while on a tauros, it correctly uses that members tauros riding sprite immediately.
