Tin Age What the hell is this? Theme Song (The Hellion) Now it came to pass in the two thousand and fortieth year of our lord, in the seventh month, in the seventh day of the month, as I beheld our planet’s moon, and charted it’s journey across our world, that a colleague of mine spied an odd disturbance on its surface, and he called for me, and I saw. It first appeared in the form of a blazing fire, scouring the surface of our papery moon clean. Together we voiced our alarm to the rest of the room, who dismissed our claims, deeming it improbable. But we knew that our eyes had not deceived us, and we continued to stand transfixed to our screens, and we beheld the moon as it revealed itself for what it truly was. They had the likeness of a white horse, great and mighty was it’s countenance, there was a fire all around it. Its eyes shone a light that reached out to the very heavens, scouring it as it rode through the empty space with its counterpart, as they pulled their great burden behind them. We turned our attention to the beast’s burden, and for a moment we saw great beauty, before we saw nothing, and will see nothing forever more. But it was good that we were blinded, before we had seen it fit to turn our attentions to what remained of our shattered moon, and saw what was coming next. Tin Age is a game set at the end of the world, society as we know it is gone, hordes of rejected or reproducing monsters wandering the shattered remains of our world make trips across short distances dangerous at best, and cross continental or sea travel practically suicidal to most. The internet as we know it is a shadow of it's former self, with large swathes of the world constantly on the verge of being cut off once and for all with each Apocalypse event, and most have resigned themselves to doing their best to stay alive today, so that they can struggle to survive again tomorrow. Unfortunately things are even worse for everyone left out to survive on their own in the wastes, most either turn into horrific mutants from constant exposure to raw ichor and wild magics within the first few months, others die attempting to make the journey to a fortress that would accept them, or vainly searching for a mythical 'safe zone'. The 'luckier' ones are eking out a living as part of a nomadic raider gang, or grouping up to form their very own fortresses! That usually die in the next apocalypse event, if the raider gangs don't get to them first that is. You are here to at least try and change all of that, to retake the world, and set right what is currently wrong. To this end your group have made your way to the Promethean, an underground facility built into the coastal fortress of Fort Minor that encompasses what used to be Orlando, and you have spent the past year training to become a Stargazer, part of an honestly desperate sounding initiative to beat back the monsters at your walls, and take the fight to the enemy!. Or die trying, I'm sorry I meant, 'die gloriously trying' if we're going off the script. Chances are good that everyone's fucked anyway in a couple of years though, and while the Stargazer initiative might spark a full out war that might destroy what is left of the planet, it might also you know, end with humanity closing pandora's box and spending the next couple of generations rebuilding, and walking out of this nightmare having learned some aesop about what they can accomplish when they work together to overcome their fears and weaknesses. Either way it couldn't be worse than just dying off in a decade or two anyway right, and if it's any consolation? If this goes horribly wrong, you bloody Stargazers will be too dead to think about how you just ended the world. Edward did what anyone else would do at the time, and he gave the Zombie another good whack to make sure that it was well and truly crushed before he cautiously set off towards the supposed second zombie and supply cache, "Damn things are harder to kill than I thought they would be, hold on Poncio! We're coming!," he also made sure to nudge Austin along if the man was too close to an uncleared area, no sense in rushing towards the enemy if a civilian's in danger of becoming zombie chow after all.

Jun decided not to take the glove out of the box, reasoning that even if it would fit her, if the box's stated purpose was legitimate, it would be kinda odd for her to start off her trip by randomly taking things belonging to seemingly missing people she was looking for, especially if they had placed it here expecting to get it back later. Instead she took out a piece of paper and wrote a message in there for the person carrying the box, "Thanks for the offer but I'll have to take a raincheck on it for now, wondering where everyone is right now, nice glove by the way." She then folded her message into the shape of an easily unfolded flower, put it into the box, and wandered off to see what everyone else was gawking at. "They seem friendly enough from here, but then again it's not like they know that there are humans walking among them, who knows how they'll react." She leaned in a little closer to get a better look at the city before she said, "All of this makes me wonder just what they did that made the rest of the world seal them off though, if there even is a rest of the world to speak of by this point...." -
Lucian did what any self respecting modern man would do in this situation, discreetly record Harry's 'briefing' using his smartphone for later perusal, check if he got any reception here on his Nova (he does), and step up to offer the man a handshake before he introduced himself with, "I'm sure that won't be a problem Dr. Harry, I believe that we are all adults here and can be expected to act reasonably." If Harry accepted the handshake, he'd find Lucian's grip to be firm, and his hand itself to have the smooth texture of one that hasn't had to put in hard labor in quite a while. "My name is Lucian Stahl, and I'm going to be open and honest with you here; I am here to represent the interests of a concerned and very well funded corporation called KugeSchmiede, and let me assure you that we will work to aid this world while abiding by it's laws, both local and international." The man looked into Harry's eyes as he said this, seeming to not have even a small measure or tinge of hesitation in his voice as he continued with, "Now if I may ask, what actions have your group undertaken to improve the situation in this world so far?."

Jun looks around the place for signs of life, trying to do that thing where she reaches out with her psychic power stuff to see if literally anyone was lying in wait to take the box away, before she turns to look at Ignis and says, "This place is...creepy to say the least, it makes me feel a bit expectant". Afterwards she will examine the box for any signs of danger or traps, and see what's currently inside of it. -

Kali continued to tune her starcaster as the group ventured deeper inside of the first floor of the tower. Rolling her eyes at the red wall of screaming souls, she waited for DVS and the rest of the group heading towards the rooms to enter first before she followed after them, and decided to reply to Bard's offer with, "Well, no one's stopping you." -

As the other robbers started to desperately crawl out of the woodwork, Richard stood there and crushed the remaining robber's heart with one hand, taking a deep breath to center himself and feed air into his boilers as they pointed their shotguns at him, before with a cry of "Useless useless," he jumped straight through the ceiling, intending to propel himself through the air with plumes of steam before he crashes straight through the roof to crush some unlucky robbers/close the distance to put tear them into little pieces. -
Hirata ungracefully made her way down to the living quarters herself, having decided that following after the mean baka violent star person into the lab wouldn't be a fun experience. "This place is creepy and weird," she stated after she picked herself up off of the floor, before she decided to try and help out by rummaging around the contents of the room as well, whether be it by scanning through the contents of the files for things of interest, testing the bed's softness, or searching the room itself for anything she could scavenge.

A man slowly takes a seat close to the center of the room, somehow coming off less as an external element of the seat than the congealed essence of refinement and taste extracted from countless betters and shaped into a man. He took his time to let the others speak for themselves first, to learn how they would react in such a situation, and what they felt comfortable with revealing to a room full of strangers. He'd have to work with these people after all, and it was always a good idea to learn what you had to work with, almost as much as learning what you had to work on. It was only after he heard this 'Stretch' recount his...interesting past that the refined man turned his gaze towards their host, and said, "Ah yes, 'Trespassers', the nigh unkillable race of world devouring multiversal entities, some of my more eccentric advisors 'warned' me of their existence, I thought their claims to be unlikely and had them dismissed, I'm assuming that I am here because I was wrong."

Atton tipped his hat at the two warrior women before he replied with, "It is a pleasure to finally meet the both of you Miss Neptune and Uni, and I hope and pray that the two of you will have a nice and safe trip back home, people were looking all over for the two of you back there, evidently they weren't looking hard enough." He extended his right hand to offer them the sign of peace as he continued with, "But before you go, what else can you tell me about the other members of this 'Arfoire Syndicate', Trick, Brave, and Magic was what you called them I believe? More specifically what their capabilities are? Of course anything you can tell us about them would be a great help to ou-," it was at this moment that a woman landed rather roughly on Mira, knocking her back down on the ground, causing Atton to chuckle a little just before he abruptly segued into, "And there goes another one, excuse me for one moment." Atton turns to face the newcomer before he states, "I am Richard Atton, currently of the UCAS army, serving alongside these fine young men over here," he gestured at the rest of his small squad, who at this point was quietly bickering over who gets to try and put on the helmet first, "And are the two of you quite alright? I've spoken with paratroopers before, and correct me if I'm wrong here since I'm just repeating what somebody else said to me, but falling from great heights onto a hard surface is apparently very painful indeed, and we've still got quite a bit of travelling to do, and we wouldn't want anyone to fall behind because they sprained their ankle and didn't tell anyone after all."

Jun takes one good and long look at the plaque placed prominently on the wrong wall, and stifles her inner interior decorator instincts for just long enough to say, "Uhhhh, I don't think we're in friendly territory guys, or at least I can't think of a good reason why a castle would need an entire room for human graves that doesn't come off as being unsettling anyway." Of course, despite saying that, Jun still decided to walk down to the judgement hall by herself, deciding that her own stealth capability should suffice for now. -
Edward lets out a slight grunt before he takes a deep breath and attempts to use his close range to bat the zombie's head and hopefully rest of body away with the bed leg.

Jun continues to snap pictures of the surrounding architecture, particularly the two thrones as she continued to generally act somewhere in between a wide-eyed tourist exploring a castle on a sketchy unguided tour, and a commando stalking through the jungle to try and surprise enemy insurgents. "Well that's....not great, does it exclusively block magic and psionics from entering or leaving, or uh, are we stuck here until we find a way to break whatever it is down?," she said as she searched the throne room for any additional entryways, and generally checked to see if this is a room that's used often. -

Richard's grip on the table tightened a little as he heard the bandit bark out his response to Henrietta's earnest call for repentance, and he shook his head a little as his more excitable colleague un-holstered her pistols, "Good grief, they truly are nothing but a bunch of good for nothing ruffians huh?," his fingers dug in deeply into the table itself as he prepared to tear a piece of it out, "Just a worthless waste of space!," and he threw the piece at the nearest scimitar wielder a little after Eleanor started to open fire, attempting to launch himself at them as well to punch inside of their chest while they're distracted. -

Kali perked up a little bit as the 'tower full of demons' became the topic of choice once more, and she listened intently to what Markus had to say about it all. Of course it ended up sounding like a pain in the ass, but still; what else did you expect from dealing with angels and demons? I mean sure she never expected this to double as a.... well you could call finding out what happened to the angel a rescue mission, but then again; chances were good that it'd end up being a murder investigation, with a very obvious culprit. "The way you're describing that giant eyesore's giving me the impression that you don't seem to like the chances of that angel chick coming out of there alive, or any of us. I like that, makes it all the more satisfying when we win anyway despite going against all rhyme and reason." -
Atton let out a stream of boisterous laughter as the 'eretic breaved his last, and the large and ponderous half track did a celebratory victory lap and sweep of the area while the general yelled something hopefully inspirational sounding about vanquishing the inglorious Trespasser beast, and revealing that the one who calls himself judge was unworthy to even stand before those blessed by the only true judge of the world. Pretty standard speech all things considered, and a few choice moments passed before Atton realized that he was still the one driving, and the half track slowly came to a stop before the remains of the judged. "Mira's got it in one,," the half track said, before the track's engine was shut off and Atton climbed out of it with his men in tow, "We have been sent here by a fiery woman as part of our crusade against the trespascyng forces of evil! And it is our duty to ensure that this world is secured from any malevolent beings that seek to hasten your world's demise. Atton took a deep breath as his crew members look awkwardly at each other, before they walk off to claim the Judge's helmet as a bit of a trophy as the general adjusts his cloak a little, and says, "Are the two of you still bearing any injuries from that battle? If needed I believe that we can offer some medical attention."

Radovan did what he thought anyone else would do in this situation really. He stopped to take a couple of deep breaths to keep himself from having a heart attack or something as the shifting sands settled, and he returned his Larvitar to it's pokeball before he punched Sena hard on the shoulder, "You've got some explaining to do young man, everyone was busy being worried sick about you while Uno was actually being sick, never disappear on us like that again!," he said in his best old grandmother impression. He then smirked a little at Sena as he started to take a couple of steps towards the weird girl that had attacked them earlier, "But really though, it's good to have you back, but try not to get kidnapped while investigating a missing person' case next time, or maybe do, I don't really care; just don't make a habit of it." He mumbled a bit to himself as he stood over the fallen leader, something to do about, "Not knowing just what to do with you," before he let out a slight laugh, and mimed pulling out some cuffs to mime binding her hands behind her back with, and picked up his opponent and went home, or well, went to check up on the chief. -

it pretty much looks like a find and replace was added into the editor's parcyng, basically meaning that it's impossible to get rid of it because the change is likely in the editor's procescyng itself, seeing as this applies only to new posts and that it actually changes the text content
for this reason, I also doubt it will revert after today

The sides of his mouth curved upwards a little more, turning a bit to give Heidrun a sidelong glance before he let out a slight sigh, and dropped his pretenses, "In that case let's not beat around the bush anymore, the last time I dealt with more than one of you at a time I was almost shot to death, so I hope that you'll understand that I honestly just want to get all of this over with as quickly as possible." He pixed a briefcase up from under the table and slid it over to the other side for the party to examine, "Ares has two things that pertain to your group at the moment, a missing shipment, and a prototype super heavy cargoplane scheduled on a test flight from the Sea-Tac Airport to the Logan International Airport tomorrow morning, they are expecting eight passengers, rich and nameless investors that have paid for this privilege." A couple of moments of silence passes before he remembers something, and he lets out a slight cough before he continued with, "It is needless to say that the miscyng shipment, and those eight passengers are linked." He takes out a laser pointer and fires off a beam at the briefcase itself, causing it to slide a small datastick out of a previously hidden compartment, "This briefcase contains all of the information you need to know about our missing shipment, it's current approximate location, the name of the group of runners that currently has it in their possession, and eight Ares VIP passes. We will need your 'expertise' with retrieving said shipment and bringing it directly to the airport, and only upon it's retrieval will the test flight go underway." He pockets the laser pointer and sits back down on his seat before he finished with, "That is the deal your clown agreed upon, whether the eight of you will choose to honor it is up to your group. Any questions about the shipment's nature can be answered by the documents inside of that briefcase, but I will state that it is light, fragile, and absolutely harmless to the majority of the population even when inhaled or digested."

Kali snorted a little at Rama's entrance, having ridden a bus to get to hellscape city, and having walked down it's ruined streets, she really didn't get why someone would want to spend all of that money just to make a flashier entrance than usual. She was tuning her guitar off to the side when she felt someone very lightly tap her shoulder with a fist, turning a little to face Bard before she said, "I'll have to take a raincheck on that, the last time I took a bit of blow before a performance...well let's just say that they didn't expect us to literally burn down the house that time." She chuckled a little and cracked her knuckles before she slung the guitar back on her shoulder and lightly punched Bard back. -

"Ah yes, the monolith's 'tax collecters', bunch of ruffians and bandits through and through, I'm not usually predisposed to violence, but regretfully it seems that a sound thrashing or two will be necessary," Richard stretches his limbs just a littl after he says this, keeping his muscles all nice and limber up abefore he continues with, "So yes I do believe that some 'fun' will be had, Miss Flores. Although the question is, what direction will they choose to assail us from? I wonder...." -
