  1. Alan, realizing what FRIDAY is trying to do sends a short encrypted message to Freya and the rest that simply says, "In Van, too busy dealing with a high minded antivirus software to get out right now, see you in the con later." attempts to perform the following actions: Alan uses Assume Direct Control to try and take over FRIDAY's mining facility, making an opposed Intelligence check to do so and gain her arbitrary feline cryptocurrencies. Alan orders his DOOMBOT squad to switch targets and instead disrupt her Chat Room's systems, using the Minigun deal 4d6+Strength (15) damage to try and distrupt the code's stability and make FRIDAY come off as a wannabe script kiddie who can't even create a secure IIRC Chat If possible he will say the following things to Friday , "You know I was going to do that myself right? I want the police to be here for this, could always use the help with evacuating later. Although I'm not sure why you're calling the army here but whatever."
  2. "I'll help with the bank heist then; while I haven't had to negotiate for the release of hostages before, it shouldn't be any harder than learning how to perform a high speed chase or fight in a brutal gang was, seeing as I already am a crisis negotiator of sorts." Lucian confidently stated after a brief moment of thought. "That and I have a little bit of cash on me right now, it should be valid tender if this world accepts US dollars, if anyone thinks they'd need anything in particular then please ask, and I'll see what I can do."
  3. Solomon shifted slightly to a seat nearer to the exit as he heard Navin speak, the brief and tenuous sensation of reassurance he got from Heidrun's reply disappearing as quickly as it came, "Well...right then, I guess that is the best we could have hoped for considering...." He trailed off when he noticed the absolute unit put the case on the table, moved to unfasten it's latch causing seemingly nothing to happen. And a little more nothing happened when she slowly opened it and...revealed a perfectly normal looking series of faux paper documents bound in manila folders. "Well that's, depressingly mundane, I'd ask if he just said that the case'd explode to fuck with us, but uh, he probably wasn't, anyone here got a bomb detector?."
  4. Mot quickly brakes his bike as he tries his best to not plow straight into the tree line. Mot is stunned for this round due to his flaw.
  5. Immanuel seemed right at home as he rocketed past enemy fire, and let out an unnecessarily large gout of flame from his boots as he touched down inside of the breach in what he assumed would be style. He took a couple of steps closer to the contact than Marina did, reasoning that his armor was tough enough that he would at least be able to get away in time, he had a friendly and slightly joking tone to his voice when he said, "Oh don't worry, we don't mind, we're here to help with the clean up after all." He extended a hand out to offer a handshake before he said, "Challenger One, it's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Rege, how're the adventurers faring? Has anyone else made a pass at this dungeon's 'raid boss' yet? Any other areas that no one has managed to explore?."
  6. Richard resolved to extract a nerve for every thread of cloth ruined by Tohl's attack later as he rolled back inside of the cabin. He was straightening out what was left of his ruined suit as he heard Bellos's statement, taking his time as he stood up, nonchalantly took them by the hand and helped them up to their feet, and then kept pulling with enough force to make them lean forward, before shifting to grab them by their waist with one hand. "I am going to jump out of this window and throw you towards the roof of the next carriage, you can glide down with your wings or curl up into a ball to resist impact, I recommend that you do the former," He said in a deadpan and matter of fact manner, just before he completely and utterly ignored any protests Bellos might level at him and jumped out of the window, using his steam and his quick reaction time to throw himself past the ruined section of roof while chucking Bellos in the closest he could achieve to a trajectory that would buy the nobleman some time to try and control his own flight path. He then saw Julianne fighting against the assassin, and quickly jumped towards the two, intending to use his sheer strength to land behind the new foe and react with a barrage of quick and potentially disabling blows meant to drive her to a corner, while using his steam ports and quick reaction speed to dodge her counter attack and attempt to target her eyes with bursts of it in distracting, distracting ways. If this works out in his favor with a successful sneak attack by Julianne, Richard will attempt to reveal that actually, his fists don't always have this short of a reach by punching her shoulder with a right extending steam fist, attempting to dent or break it.
  7. "Oh great, it looks like they're serving us leftovers, anyone here mind if I call the manager?," she said as she stood her ground, continuing to play her music as she waited for it to make the first move, as she built up magical power and prepared to slide out of the way of whatever it was planning to hit her with.
  8. The Entire Party (Minus stragglers), Americana The councilor simply continued to stand to attention as he heard the others respond, putting on his plastic smile once more before he finished off the meeting with a curt, "In that case I wish you all good luck, I'll look forward to hearing of your success soon. Good night." He then started to walk away, gesturing at an unseen man just before crowds of men and women of varied nationalities and race filtered in from a waiting room in the side of the building. It was clear that the councilor at least, was done with the seven of you by this point, and responding in turn, you all promptly vacate the premises to escape the uncomfortable glares of suspicious adults and get all of this over with as soon as possible;, Except for Alexandria, who walked much slower than the rest, and had to deal with a small kid who excitedly asked her if she was friends with Optimus Prime. Friedhold, Big Iron You head on over to the sales counter as soon as you got back down, and while the rest of the party got in touch with Solomon over their commlinks, idly browsed the store, or received some very awkward stares while waddling to the entrance, you sat down with an ex military sales rep named Dave, who was very happy to answer any questions you had about Ares or it's subsidiaries's products. Over the span of several minutes of seemingly casual conversation, Dave innocuously scanned the SIN your commlink was registered to and compared it to the identity listed in the ID card while they were still in your pocket, read up on your credit rating, the contents of the faked social media page made in your SIN's name, and compared the questions you were asking here with your faked internet search history, and shifted gears to start shilling what all indications suggested you were really looking for, and a few demonstrations and videos later.... (28 v 23, Good Success!) You are now wearing a catsuit, well technically it's a type of 'ultra light Form Fitting Body Armor that's easily concealed and worn under other types of clothing', but a catsuit's still a catsuit, admittedly one that no one ever needs to know you're wearing. The fact it was a bullet resistant catsuit was something of note as well, you didn't expect something so light and flimsy seeming to hold up after a direct blast from your shotgun, never mind coming off as being somewhat pristine after two, and you're now feeling 1,750 nuyen more confident about your chances of surviving a gunfight. Everyone, Hole in the wall The seven of you ponder if Solomon was just broke or something as you stepped out of the cold Seattle rain, and stepped into the warmer, grimier interior of 'Hole in the wall', a coffin hotel of ill repute located deep within the alleyways of Union street. Intending to meet the librarian in the cafe, you all caught a whiff of surprisingly fresh smelling soycaf when you entered, and a few moments of questioning led to a strange sounding private booth at the back, where Solomon was waiting for you with a cup of soycaf in one hand, and a book about...writing inheritances held in the other. He turned slightly to acknowledge your presence, gesturing at one of the plush black seats present in the room with one hand as he simply asked, "So uh, how was the councilor?."
  9. Loadout "Yes well, I have no idea who you are too goateeman, but you're in my way, and I don't have the time for this.." Alan uses Distrupt to try and reduce the stat most used by Friday's actions by 1d4+his Intelligence stat for one round. He also uses his Drone mastery to order his summoned DOOMBOT squad to fire it's Very Heavy Minigun at Friday, hopefully dealing 4d6+Strength damage to it if it hits, and tasks his Summoned Sectopod with firing it's heavy magnetic gun at Friday, dealing 3d6+Syn damage to it if it hits.
  10. Atton strode confidently inside of the meeting chamber by himself, having sent his men out to collect some proper rations for what could prove to be a long and arduous campaign, "How far away are each of the sightings from each other? And are our targets known to take hostages or mind controlling civilians to do their bidding? I know that CFW Judge was a loner, but the others seem to be heading straight towards major population centers, and I'm curious as to why. Except for CFW Magic of course, who I certainly hope isn't an infamous necromancer or some sort."
  11. Lucian nodded in Harry's direction, and responded with a curt, "Well in that case I wish the three of you the best. Although I do hope that you won't mind if I...refrain from consuming one for the time being." He slowly and politely sauntered off a little further to the side after he finished speaking, and as two men he assumed was the 'kinda criminals' they would be working with entered the room, he took the opportunity to recompose himself a little while Mirri fielded their questions, and he stepped forward to greet them the moment she finished with a piercing look, a serious expression on his face, and a calm and polite tone to his voice, "Uber and Leet I presume? My name is Lucian Stahl, I was sent here along with my associates to assist Dr. Walters and company with their...humanitarian efforts, and I'm looking forward to working with you two in the future."
  12. Seeing as there was basically nothing else of immediate interest to her in this room, Hirata naturally wandered off to head through the doors heading to the lab, intending to loot it for understandable schematics and papers explaining what this asteroid facility was studying now that she made certain that no gunshots were being fired yet inside of it. "Hhi, did you guys find anything useful here? All we got were some useless books and papers that we couldn't understand."
  13. Richard let out a slight grunt as he jumped away from the Iron Titan, letting loose gouts of steam at the titan's eyes and knees to blind and distract him a little before he jumped up, and attempted to tear apart a piece of the roof large enough to slam the titan down on the floor below him.
  14. Kai resisted the urge to retch slightly as she entered the tomb, not because she never had the chance to get used to being around the smell of blood or worse by this point mind you, but because she didn't want to; as from her experience, demons tended to smell like the charnel houses they inhabited. "I'd be willing to bet that whoever we're about to fight paid jack for their interior decor, probably just let some poor saps in and closed the door." She slowly put her guitar back in her hands as she finished speaking, starting to play the opening to a little tune to prepare for the inevitable.
  15. Radovan didn't ask too many questions as everyone had their...was it even brunch by this point?; simply relishing the meal and the opportunity to actually rest after a very long day. As the meal itself drew to a close he finally started to wonder what happened the other night, and he awkwardly glanced at Zeta before he asked, "So...are Chief and Rubia alright? I think I kind of...passed out for no apparent reason back then."
  16. Jun first discreetly checks to see if the door is locked, before she quietly says, "Well, it seems that we'd either need to meet our first local resident soon or circle back to find another way through, and I don't know about the rest of you, but..." She slowly but surely opened the door a crack and made sure that no one was in the room behind it before she snuck in, and tried to find a door leading out of the house.
  17. Edward squinted at the screeching zombie, maintaining a defensive stance up until she mentioned recognizing Poncio, which was an odd statement for a locally sourced zombie to make, causing him to relax a little before he asked, "You uh, you have bleeding eye sockets instead of eyes." There was a slightly awkward pause as he shuffled around to get to the supply cache before he said, "And yes that is Poncio if that is who you meant, I'm guessing that they didn't tell you about us, but did they at least tell you what you were here for?." He looked around for an assault rifle or a submachinegun, something he would be especially familiar with from his military days, and perhaps even a more proper melee weapon to replace his current bed leg if it seemed as if they had enough to spare.
  18. Both El Thor and Spectator are accepted so hooray for that, gonna try and write up some ideas for what the first mission will be soonish, but I'm not going to lie, chances are this game will be moving to the bay12 forums soonish unless we get a sudden influx of players, since a game with only two players is kind of depressing for me, even if it is still neat.
  19. Edward took a couple of steps forward, saw the large crowd that was basically preparing to lynch a very confused looking zombie, and decided to remark, "Let's just get on with it already, we don't have all day remember?," before he took a step towards the zombie, and swung his pipe for the fences (her head).
  20. Richard did what any sensible person would do when someone threatens to hose his position down with minigun fire, and that is get the hell out of his current position, namely by making a nice and clean hole out the right side of the train, and attempting to fly up to a position where his extended meteor hammer hand could bring the roof and itself down on Tohl.
  21. Well, this character sounds like a Mary Sue out of context, but to be fair that's mostly Shade's fault by this point
  22. Hirata seemed to perk right up as she pulled the coat out of the drawer, letting out a slight squee before she tried to put it on and said, "I found a good coat! Or at least I think its good, I wonder if they all dress like this? What did you guys find? Anything good?," she then wandered off to get closer to Scarlet and the rest of the group.
  23. "Ah so the previous group was a charitable organization with interests in infrastructure rebuilding, search and rescue, and presumably disaster prevention over here, got it. I'll need to if local law enforcement has given your group any grief over working with these 'kinda criminals' we're working, but that can wait." After he finished speaking, he broke eye contact for a moment to give Stretch a bit of an odd look as the man offered Harry healing from a stone, waiting a moment before he said, "Stretch, I don't think that eating a stone will help convince the good doctor that your world or its healing methods are at all compatible with the people of this world, especially since he doesn't come from here as well."
  24. Liliya would find the briefcase itself to be...relatively standard, it was certainly impressive and durable looking for sure, but a seemingly simplistic four tumbler number lock seemed to be the only thing that kept it from just, falling open. "The combination for that lock is 9011, and don't worry, it's not set to self destruct or violently murder anyone entering the wrong code. Although it will dispose of it's contents once it is closed I'm afraid, we've had some...issues lately with our freelancers failing to dispose of documents properly." He then leaned a little forward as he said, "And yes, there is no time to waste, I believe that they are already looking for prospective buyers as we speak, Ares products are always in high demand you see, especially one of such a...special nature as this, so if you have any further questions about this errand, perhaps to inquire about the legality of it, then feel free to ask them now, as we will not be meeting with each other again, and until Ares gets it's shipment back, the seven of you are at best, random strangers to politely direct to the nearest store." He started to stand up as he finished speaking, giving a bit of a pause and signalling that the meeting was basically about to close before he continued with, "Otherwise all there is left to do is to wish you good luck, mention that high quality weapons and armor are still available for sale below, and hope that I haven't made yet another mistake by trusting the seven of you."
  25. Jun seemed a bit thoughtful after hearing Nader and the holograms speak, before she slowly started to activate her cloak, and said, "Right, well in that case there's really only one place to go then," she then moved away from the rest of the group to head into the exit hall, trying to see if there were actually people or potential hostiles that they'd have to deal with there anyway, and you know, discreetly introduce her existence to them to see if they were literally going to kill her for existing.
