  1. You need to freeze the field and I can't remember of the top of my head whether icy wind does that. I get the feeling it doesn't, but if you give it a go and it freezes the field you should be fine.
  2. It isn't exactly underrated, but I see Twilight Princess getting a fair bit of hate recently. It is personally one of my favourite games due to a really solid story, appearance and soundtrack. In addition it has the best selection of dungeons in my opinion and there are only one or two tedious ones. Paper Mario 64 is often also considered far inferior to The Thousand Year Door, but I personally think it is a better game. The plot was more standard, but it is so full of charm and overall its a really enjoyable experience. Yokai Watch is obviously not underrated in Japan, but it wasn't a huge hit in the west. The game is far from perfect, and certainly isn't as good as pokemon, but it is good fun as long as you aren't expecting anything too groundbreaking. It has charm, humor and never takes itself very seriously, but I found it to be a really nice experience.
  3. Nope, there has been a fair bit of speculation about it but nothing has been confirmed.
  4. Hi everyone, It has been a while since we had a change in the auth team, but I'm here today to let all of you know about some hardworking community members who have earnt themselves a promotion! First off we have @Xiri, who will be joining our team as a server moderator. Anyone who has spent any amount of time with Xiri would know how cool headed, capable and talented he is and I have no doubt he'll make a fine addition to our server moderating team. He's led the victorious Atlantis Nation to victory in pokenations and is an integral part of the Redemption League staff already, so he is an experienced leader who will set a great example for all who frequent the server. Remaining on the server side, @Zumi has been promoted to leader. Since she joined the moderating team, Zumi has shown her talent and dedication to making the server a better place for all. Due to her European timezone she's often been one of the only staff members around but this has not fazed her in the slightest. She's continued to be one of the friendliest people on the server while also laying down the law when appropriate. We're all sure she'll do a great job with her new banhammer. Lastly, @Njab is stepping up to a global moderator position. I was very protective of the bug reporting forum when I was a local mod there, but when I stepped up to global I could rest easy knowing it was in good hands with Njab in charge. In addition to his fantastic work moderating, he has actively helped out people with their questions all over the forums. It was only a matter of time until such fantastic work was rewarded, and we're looking forward to having him as a mod all over the forums. However, in addition to congratulating these guys on their promotions, I feel like it is appropriate to also say thank you to some of our amazing departing auth members. @Jericho, has served the community well for years as both a global moderator on the forums and a leader on the server. Anyone who comes here at all owes him a great deal as he has been a real role-model within the auth team and the community. His motivation and commitment both on the forums and the server was remarkable and I know I've learnt a lot about how to be a better moderator from him. So let's give him a round of applause for being a real leader for all of us to look up to. We're also saying goodbye to @Tacos today. Tacos has been a great global mod in both of his stints at it. He rejoined the team early on in 2016 and instantly made the reason for his promotion clear. He was not only fantastic at keeping the forums organised, but also made sure that the decisions we made were fair and that we acted in an appropriate manner in situations. So to Jeri and Tacos, we'll miss you a lot, and to Zumi, Njab and Xiri, congratulations on your promotions. They're well deserved!
  5. Well Summer Holidays are over so I'll be around a bit less than I have been for the last few weeks. It has been nice seeing everyone a bit more!

  6. I made your card before you edited the post and I'll update it for you. However I would like to try to remind people that the teams you post here are meant to be your final teams. If you wanted to test or put it in an RMT it would have been nice if you had done that before making a post. Having to continually go back to cards we've already made really slows down the process and means other people have to wait longer to get their first version of the card.
  7. Happy Birthday Mael! We certainly haven't talked all that much but I have a lot of respect for you. You stick to what you believe in and always have an interesting perspective on life. Have a fantastic day!
  8. The save file is game.rxdata not game.exe
  9. There isn't a blank base that they're all based on. Most of the sprites are built out of bits of canon and default essentials sprites. Ame heavily edits them though. However if you're redoing the player character remember you'll also need to change fishing, running, surfing, tauros riding sprites and so on so it will be a fair bit of work. Here's an example of Ame (the creator of Reborn) making Luna's overworld sprite.
  10. There was a time where we held competitions and the winner got a rare pokemon in their game, however those stopped occurring due to lack on interest. If we were ever shown that people really wanted stuff like that to return I don't think we'd be opposed to bringing them back. They still sometimes happen at holiday parties and so on, but that is the closest thing you get the mystery gift.
  11. Hey everyone! First, thanks for being so patient with trainer cards! We're making good progress but I get it can be frustrating if you haven't gotten yours yet! I really appreciate the fact that no-one has been yelling at us about the wait. Just a couple of things regarding custom BGs for Trainer Cards. First off, if your card has been made before you found out about the custom backgrounds I'm happy to redo your cards once everyone else has gotten there ones. The same logic on waiting until after everyone else is going to apply here to anyone who has asked for custom BGs later in the thread without mentioning it in their initial post which would result in us missing it. Secondly, when we say don't change the boxes that includes the borders. The way we make the cards involves some of the border so it is easiest if the border isn't changed. If you really want a different coloured border feel free to recolour it on your card after we've finished it and send it back to us at that point (by us I mean PM Sparky or me) and we'll add it to the records so your badges are with the coloured borders. That's it for now! Hopefully you'll like your trainer cards when you get them!
  12. Oh sorry, that's my bad. If you want to change the background that's fine just either post the finished card here or send it to me and I'll change it in the doc. I'm also happy to remake your trainer card after I've finished the other ones if you want me to, as it was an oversight on my part.
  13. Fantastic job on the guide. It makes a great addition to the current location guide and will help new players out a lot. I've pinned it and added it to the directory.
  14. She's in the Beryl Cemetery. She's hard to find because she looks a bit like a plant.
  15. Decided the world should see this but it wasn't worth a dev blog post. GIF and naming of pokemon courtesy of Ame. http://i.imgur.com/tvhktFD.gif

  16. I also got 10/10. The hardest thing about the quiz was getting the evolutions into the proper boxes because my track pad is not good at dragging things.
  17. Happy Birthday Etesian!!! You're a super helpful person around the forums and while I don't know you well I have a lot of respect for you. Have a great day!
  18. Yeah, there should be a folder for Rejuvenation in the saved games folder as well. Just make sure to distinguish the two files so you can put the each one in the right folder on the other end.
  19. You can find the old versions here
  20. I'm pretty sure the only way to get it is via pickup which is super rare and i think need level 70+ but I could be wrong in which case anyone should feel free to correct me!
  21. You're completely right on all points here. Linking to youtube videos would only violate our advertising rule if said video was an ad for a product or payed service and we're well out of the spoiler lock so there will be no problems.
  22. Congrats on 1000 posts CG!!! Yeah you're right, we haven't chatted in a while mostly because I'm not on showdown quite as much recently especially around the times where you exist. Anyway, congratulations on 1000 and here's to many more!
  23. From worst to best 7. Gen 4 6. Gen 1 5. Gen 5 4. Gen 3 3. Gen 6 2. Gen 7 1. Gen 2
  24. Have fun on your trip Ody! You certainly aren't someone I know really well but your diligence during the site transition and general helpful demeanor was exceptionally helpful and appreciated. Without you we quite frankly couldn't have kept up with keeping the site in balance so I'm super greatful that you did what you did. Have a great time and see you when you get back!
  25. No, the game is exactly the same. The public release has some bug fixes and you need it to access online features as they have been disabled for the Community Release.
