All of the custom TMs have use, whether filling in moves until better ones are available (Poison Sweep, Stacking Shot) or giving a cool new move for other mons that might use it(Slash and Burn, Irritation). Douse is a unique case sure because it overlaps with mons that learn surf, but it still has something that Surf doesnt (speed lowering+ single target).

Hey Douse is a pretty lit move, I'm guessing nobody has actually tested it. It is 70 BP water move that has a high chance to slow the opponent. It also is single target so it won't hit your partner in double battles. Its not a bad move so my guess is you have never actually used it if you are saying it is bad. Anyone who has played a Pokemon game knows that lowering your opponents stats, especially speed, in-game can make battles vastly easier.

Casual Mode is essentially just a lot easier than Normal mode. It is possible to change the mode ingame by going to the tent next to Venams gym in gearen city. You get 1 free change the first time you enter.

some of the books are slightly hidden behind objects, one that is often missed is the one hidden behind the pillar in the entrance to the library. Iirc there is also one book that looks like a generic book colour, and doesnt have the bright colour the others do.

I can't help too much because I don't know the exact situation you are in (mons you have, levels, etc) but as long as you are around the proper level, Perfect Natures/Movesets/EVs/IVs are not necessary in the slightest, but I do remember I had a Swanna on my team for that fight, so use whatever you want really. Most fights in reborn aren't as hard as people make them out to be, they just require a bit more thinking thatn just brute forcing your way through everything (its the main mistake most people make in Reborn).

Honestly the only part of the original post that i disagree with is that X items are useless and not worth anything but money at vendors, they can be pretty useful for certain fights. Other than that, the ideas are cool, although I don't know if there would need to be *that* many different items and maybe some better names but thats a minor thing.

I haven't done Erins path, however something i do keep in mind when regarding anything related to Cassandra is the hair cut help request all the way back in Gearen City. The mother mentions how Cassandra (paraphrasing) basically forces stuff to be run in a certain way, which leads me to believe that helping bladestar may be the best option, we will have to see tho.

I'm not sure where you get the info that most people don't use healing items in battle, most people I know use them fairly often, not all the time, but they are used.
