Same way about Hoopa-U, really, (even though in hindsight it may have deserved it) although I won't be sad to see Volcanion go.MEANWHILE I'm having an inordinate amount of fun using things like Helix and Weedragon in OU.

Quite fair, indeed. A new morn and yet another tangent. As I look upon my desk and behold all the textbooks and sheets that have to be read, I will ask the question: what is resolution? How do we stay determined and stick to a decision? What makes us do work? What keeps us resolute? Is it a force? Is it a state of mind? Is it a physical sense? Or is it knowledge? In any case, we can't just all have three goats teach us how to use a Secret Sword in order to become resolute. So, this is both an objective and subjective question. I'd like to hear your thoughts before I express my own view.

And don't forget traitors and double-traitors; might be useful. And if your morals are tested, do the right thing, and don't be greedy. It'll pay off long term. Also don't neglect that ralts. It can do better than brainiac and syleon combined, and it gets Calm Mind naturally to boot. I guess you could replace it if Sylveon dies.

I'd not write off the pulse mons are garbage; they're chosen for their aptness to the situation (it'd make less sense for a PULSE Gengar to have poisoned the lake,or for a PULSE Breloom to have caused the vines) and so it's probably just coincidence that many featured outside OU or UU. I'd be down for a PULSE Hypno, though, simply because there's been too many Grass or Poison type PULSEs already for Amoonguss or something like that. Terra could be immune to the Hypnosis by virtue of her being Terra, that's all. What we all really need is for a working PULSE Magnezone. It will then fuse Sirius, Solaris and Linux together and create the ultimate monster! The Magnet Lord giveth and the Magnet Lord taketh away.

Personally, I view Pokémon as a collection of statistics that can be improved and implemented to perform LR generate the desired output. Check the ethics thread I made a while back to see my full opinion, if you wish. But as for other trainers in the canonic series, I stopped watching the anime some seve. years ago or so, do the last I saw must've been DPPt. I think the idiot Ash had the most respectable team and competence then, having evolved his team at least. Overall, in game, we have the villains who don't usually care for Pokémon, bit then we also have N who is the other extreme. We have rivals who themselves evolve as a person to understand the nature and humanity in Pokémon, etc etc. I don't think that trope will ever change, and Pokémon will continue to be projected as being equal or beyond human levels of intelligence and emotional sentience and subsequently deserving of a high amount of care, resistibility and respect from Trainer's.

Well, it has been 15 months or so since I joined Reborn, though I have been following the game for about a year more that that. I've been having a wonderful time here, and since it's become somewhat of a tradition to mark the millenial post, I'll take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for Reborn, not merely as a game but as a community that I have grown to love. It certainly has been a long time since that one introductory post I made in the Grand Hall, promising to contribute to Reborn as much as I had enjoyed it. I can only continue to hope that I can contribute, at least in some small way, to what has fast become almost a second circle of family. I'm only about as soulful as my trademark Magnezone though, so I'm not going to make this a very sappy post, but that doesn't diminish my appreciation and gratitude for Reborn and for all you guys. I don't want to accidentally omit anyone, nor do I think it particular to add a token line to mark my friends, for I believe that our friendship is something to be felt and celebrated every day, and not just on this one occasion. So I affix much importance to this post itself, but much more to the moment when I thank all you amazing people for your company (and your tolerance of awful puns. They won't stop though!)
