  1. Once upon a time I would've said fire sinc e it's very straightforward and lacks variety in use(either burn or destory), but Reborn kind of changed me on that. I really dislike training Dragons since they take so long but alot of dragon types I like from a design standpoint. Hmmm Dragon might be it I guess. They're just too much of a hassle to train and dragon rage is the most broken thing early game. ^Rock doesn't resist electric, is weak to steel and ground, is SE against ice, flying and bug but IE against grass, steel and ground. Ground is immune to electric, doesn't resist steel but is SE against it, poison and electric, and is ineffective against Bug/grass while flying disregards it completely. Both are SE against fire and resist poison. Rock is usually throwing a stone or crystal(laserz) at the opponents, ground is using the ground beneath the opponent/mud/sand to attack instead, hence why flying is immune to it. Do note that many ground pokemon can learn rock attacks and vice versea, however.
  2. Fighting, Steel and Poison. Fighting is always one of my most used and helpful types, steel has the coolest designs and is one of the best types IMO, and poison's buff in 6 has made it a very fun and interesting type to use, with Reborn making it even more awesome.
  3. Have several, but Scrafty is definitely one of my favorites. Too bad fairy has nerfed him quite a bit. It's like every other psychic can learn dazzling gleam. Escavalier, Bisharp, Feraligtr, Mienshao, Greninja, Infernape and Gliscor are other favorites of mine. As for legendaries, probably Dialga. Control over time is probably the superpower I'd choose if I could have one and he looks incredibly badass, even if his cry is kind of silly lol. Like Giratina is cool and all but Dialga actually got me back into pokemon when I first saw it, I was like, "holy crap since when did pokemon start looking this awesome!?" Then I saw Luxray and Garchomp and knew I had to get diamond. rest is history.
  4. A mix of draining, defensive and trickster. I'm a patient guy so I like pokemon who can take a hit and sap away the opponent slowly but surely. Stat buffs/debuffs and items naturally help with this. Not really a hyper offensive guy since so many people use that style and tend to be better than me at it. I'm not the sort of guy who goes all out.
  5. I figure rebuilding reborn doesn't take as long as it does IRL because pokemon can build stuff like really, really fast. An 8 month project could easily be managed in like, 2 if not less when you have machamps and psychic types and whatnot.
  6. Fern dissing Corey was really really really low. I thought it was a megatama bead too? Super weird. And thanks Ame, that's a pretty cool story. All the backstory stuff behind Reborn's development is a trip in itself.
  7. Ugh not really. I never liked how centralized megas made things and I felt like Reborn's field systems were a more interesting way to add the same degree of challenge. If you want to make the battles harder than limit item use for the player and outright ban revives of any sort, no one who uses revives during battle should win ever, it's basically legalized cheating.
  8. Arclight though? I could've sworn he was one of the E4. Also, willl some of the trainer NPC sprites ever be redone eventually? Cain's looks a tad dated.
  9. Doesn't Terra's Claydol have selfdestruct? Also remember that drapion only gets STAB off its poison moves, as dark type moves become normal due to the field effect.
  10. Meaning you'll need to have a Sawk with 136 HP for counter to one shot Garchomp.
  11. Mismagius is cool but Gengar is kind of welllllll...I can understand it getting axed. Gengar's been like OU for every generation for good reason lol. I know i would LOVE to have him on my current run.
  12. I thought Kiki physically dying was the entire reason her badge was invalidated? I don't think Flo quitting would be the same situation. I don't want Fern being the final anything. He's the rival, not the nemesis. I do think his final defeat, whenever it does happen, needs to be as humiliating as possible, with him breaking down in hysterics and cursing you out as he loses. It needs to be his lowest moment and gloriously so. Way I envision it, once you knock out his pokemon, he doesn't even give you money or even a YOU DEFEATED SWAG JOCK-. The battle just ends after his last mon falls, no victory music either., he starts shaking his head in utter disbelief at his loss, and just starts losing it. He starts calling you all sorts of nasty crap, laments how the family name is tarnished because of you, starts blaming everybody else, starts foaming at the mouth how he's top dog and you're nothing but a sorry cheap ass no-skilled lucky bitch. Then hardy, aya and co. start talking trash to him too, and he's just just like, screaming maniacally and in denial you're better than him. Then during his mad ranting he just collapses in shock blubbering incoherently in an infantile state, face down in his own slobber, vomit, piss and tears.. Like his last defeat needs to break him mentally all the way. It'd be awesome. And then flobot goes up to him, and embraces him tightly in a loving hug, attempting to cheer up her baby brother. Idk, maybe seeing Fern in such a miserable state will finally trigger her emotions. Like it'd be both sweet and satisfying in a way.
  13. Also exactly what I said. How much HP does his Garchomp have? I don't recall having an obedient sawk with enough HP to counter-kill Garchomp.
  14. I actually did get a shiny Bulbasaur this playthrough. Looks boss since he's all polluted-looking.
  15. Good luck with Corey. He's a huge difficulty spike for first time players since he uses his field so well. If you have anyway of changing it, do so as it makes him a lot easier. Skuntank and Crobat are still big pains though.
  16. Oh man I love reading about the users behind the actual characters. It can really provide some more insight too, like I see Sigmund and bratty heather(jeez playing again she is absolutely insufferable at first, especially the scene with cain/shelly).in a completely different light because of it.
  17. So what exactly are the possibilities for the random police egg? I wanted Tentacool but have little clue as to what it looks like in egg form. I don't think I got it though.
  18. Ah where is that? I actually wanted him a long time ago although he might be kind of useless now.
  19. I'm doing an electric/poison dual run right now(or a Neon run as I call it) and poison definitely seems like a lot of fun to use this game since you get a good amount to choose from all throughout the game. Fari warning, Fern's 2nd grand hall battle is an absolute pain since Roserade is brutal that point in the game. It knows extrasensory so Stunky helps out a lot. Also plusle is underrated early game(wish FTW). It's the only reason I beat Flobot, as she had to outstall Cradily. Must have been like 20 turns at least just between those two.
  20. Yeah but say sawk has like, idk, 95 HP. He takes 94 points of damage and thus deals 188 back with counter. That's not killing Chomp.
  21. That's a pretty cool shiny for Poochy. My first shiny in Reborn was Magnemite. It looked really cool, but since this was episode 14 when it evolved into Magnezone it got it's regular shiny colors back which suck. At least now it's done justice.
  22. I kind of have a question too, how come the orphange music changed?
