Events in Reborn are based on actual events that happened to the real people in the online league (including Corey jumping off a bridge and Kiki's illness). Corey and Kiki were the only two to go (although Ame did say Lin literally just disappeared one day), so I don't think anyone who didn't go during the online league would go in the game.

So on the list in the OP, Jynx is listed as "Evolve Smoochum" but Smoochum is "N/A". So if Smoochum is unobtainable, shouldn't that mean Jynx is too? So this info confirms that the Pokedex leak was fake. There are Pokemon here that weren't mentioned in the "leaked" Pokedex, and according to that leak Bewear was a standalone but here we see it has a pre-evolution. I'm not sure. I could see it going either way. On one hand, it seems like he started to not like what he had to do as part of Team Xen towards the end, which could lead to something in the future where he tries to make up for what he did? But on the other, he was already captured once and then escaped before Crescent turned him back to a Solosis, so it would be repetitive if he ended up free/as Zetta again. All four of the lights are not born of man.

I don't really see a reason there'd be another meaning of "Elite" besides the E4. Having a term referring to someone who beat the E4 but lost to the Champion, or who beat the gym leaders but didn't beat the E4, is extremely specific and unnecessary imo. The club is also open to gym leaders and E4, and Arclight said "I didn't say it was the easiest way" when he told us about beating the league to get into the nightclub, implying there are other ways to get into the nightclub besides being the Champion.

I also mentioned Serra not recognizing El as E4, which I think is on the same level as not knowing the Champion. It seems like Reborn league members don't have meetings/aren't obligated to know who the others are.

About the not recognizing Lin as Champion point, Saphira didn't know who Shelly was despite them both being Gym Leaders, always calling her "other girl" and Serra didn't recognize El as one of the E4. (not saying Lin is the Champion, just saying that league members have not recognized each other before)

But he was "not born of man" like the light prophecy says, so he's a possible candidate. The prophecy doesn't say clones can't be the ones.

I also just remembered when reading this that the light prophecy mentions four who were "not born of man". Although I thought Crescent could be the player's real mom, the player can't have biological parents if we're part of the light prophecy (unless man in this case literally means males and Crescent or someone else gave birth without a father). Melia I think is definitely one of the lights. Interestingly, since Zetta wasn't really born of man being a Solosis, it's possible he's a light too (like the TV Tropes page mentions, he seems to start questioning his actions near the end of his time as a human). Also! Aelita wasn't listed as Keta's heir, and the Eldest said she has a good reason for not letting her become Sensei which she can't tell her. Maybe Keta's not her real dad? . o . I could see Kanon being either light or shadow. On one hand he intercepted the orb mission because he was told they were the cause of the world's future destruction (which is mentioned in the shadow prophecy), but on the other, he seems to be easily influenced by Madame X (his diary mentions Irvine looking concerned, and there's boxes in his house closing off a book and a Garufa symbol). Like Ren, he also has some emotional flaws (he was easily provoked by what Venam said about Melia and didn't give her a chance to explain herself). I guess if he's a shadow he'd be Obsession, considering he seems to have one for Melia. Betrayal is taken by Ren, Raw Evil doesn't fit because he cares about the world, and he doesn't really seem greedy. We don't know the qualities of the lights yet, but I'm guessing they're the opposite of the shadow traits. So Pure Goodness instead of Raw Evil, Loyalty instead of Betrayal, Charity instead of Greed, and whatever the opposite of obsession is. If I had to guess, I'd say the lights are the player, Melia, Aelita, and either Zetta or someone we haven't met yet. And for the shadows Raw Evil - Gardevoir Betrayal - Ren Obsession - Kanon, Angie, Cera, or Vitus/Indriad Greed - Madelis or Mr. Blakeory EDIT: Wait Kanon has parents he can't be a light

One thing I didn't like about Light Platinum is how several NPCs had the same dialogue. Eventually I just stopped talking to people because there was like a 50% chance what they say will be what 5 other NPCs said.

1. I know about that (and I think it's possible Crescent is the player's real mom because of that scene), but it's possible she didn't recognize the player because it was in the past. Vitus/Indriad, Maria, and Anastasia don't recognize you in the past. 3) Yeah, I think this is the least likely possibility I mentioned. The connections are that it's a Gardevoir and that Vitus/Indriad has the prophecies in his mansion (and asks Venam's group if they know about them), implying his plans maybe involve them. But Kanon did say they were cause of the future destruction of the world, which is closer to the shadow prophecy than the light prophecy. Gardevoir actually is probably the closest character that could fit the shadow of "Raw Evil", now that I think about it.

It was said about mega evolution in-game too, IIRC. That was their reason for not including customization in ORAS, but now it's back in SM. I wonder if they decided to put it back in after seeing how much people missed it, or if they planned to use it in the future from the beginning and hid it to not spoil the surprise.

It would be odd to me if Mega Evolution was completely removed, since they've never taken away any kind of Pokemon forms before (ex: Deoxys and Rotom have always had access to their forms since those forms were introduced). I did think it wasn't going to return in ORAS because I remember it being said it's a Kalos thing, but then they came back so I thought "Ok it's here to stay".
