  1. Yeah I gotta agree with the others here. It really depends on what kind of mood I'm in. Like if I just need something to binge or listen to as I play a video game I'll just throw on some Marvel movie. Not saying they're bad movies that require no effort to watch but you certainly don't need to be paying super close attention to the plot in order to understand it. The really thought-provoking movies/shows will demand a second, third or even fourth time watching. I remember when I first saw Inception I had no clue what the fuck was going on but then after like the third time I watched the movie I think I finally figured out the plot and thought it was amazing. Now there are stuff that I won't touch like ecchi anime that appeal to the lowest level of fan-service. I'm just going to come out and say it: Why not just go the extra mile and just watch some actual porn instead? The plot probably isn't any better and at least they don't cocktease you throughout the entire show. With that out of the way, when it comes to games I would like there to be a fair balance between gameplay and story. Series like Metal Gear and Persona really excel at melding the two together although to be fair, Metal Gear Solid V: TPP really botched the story aspect of the game with that half-assed ending. Of course, you can have games like Telltale's The Walking Dead where its a lot more narrative driven and still be fun as hell and on the other side of the spectrum, games like Starbound where you can just explore the universe while building huge crazy bases and killing shit without the story holding your hand along the way. It just has to be good at one thing or the other or in the best case scenario, be great at both.
  2. Oh crap this game came out? RIP my wallet.
  3. *Sends home Robin* You let me down, son.
  4. Yeah I definitely preferring high damage-dealing setups over buffing/debuffing although if the kit I'm using has a buff/debuff ability I'll probably use it quite frequently. The one class I simply can't stand playing as is Healer. Holy shit I fucking hate playing as healer you usually go to put up with some assholes begging you to heal and you're just sitting there trying not to lose consciousness. In fact, this is where I would agree with @Maelstrom and try to solo as much as possible. It just feels like you have more control over what is happening. Also makes you feel like a total badass when you singlehandedly beat some crazy boss or mow down hordes of enemies all on your own.
  5. The Sonic franchise at this point:
  6. Ooo I already put Darting Blow and Moonbow on her so that's two down. I would love to put Wings of Mercy on her but seeing that I don't have any units to inherit those skills over to her I may as well sacrifice one of my Navarres for Desperation. So going off that, I should probably run Ardent Sacrifice to get some extra heals and bring her closer to Desperation's effective HP levels. Ok so I guess all I have to do now is wait for Robin to win this thing and collect my shit load of feathers to promote her!
  7. Some emulators are pretty CPU intensive, you may want to consider your specs before you start diving in to the emulator scene. My old HP Pavilion with an Intel i3 could run Wind Waker at a stable 30 fps but for whatever reason gargled anus when trying to run Pokemon Black. Now I'm using a newer HP Pavilion with 6th gen Intel i7 and things seem to be running a lot smoother. Haven't tried Citra in a while though but I still don't think its quite ready yet. You definitely want to get a controller for when playing games like Wind Waker or Ocarina of Time because the keyboard and mouse controls just aren't ported very well at all. Hold up I thought Desmume came pre-packaged with BIOS and firmware and such? I know PCSX2 requires that you go out and download the BIOS separately but I don't remember having to do that with Desmume. I honestly don't think its worth waiting for a PS3 emulator to come out to play those games. You can get a PS3 for less than 70 bucks used nowadays and it'll probably be a hell lot more reliable than using a possibly unstable emulator with hardware that may not even be able to support it.
  8. This is the first gauntlet where I've stuck with the same unit for all three match-ups so yeah, I'm going all in with Robin so he better not fuck this up. Also been meaning to ask, any of you guys got a cool Kagero build? Pulled a 4* +ATK -HP version and will probably promote her to 5*.
  9. Lol people are actually mad that Phillip DeFranco has a Patreon. Gimme a fucking break.

  10. Call us reprobates, eh? Maybe I'll just leave a level 1 2* Virion as my leader. See how ya like that!
  11. Allergies + Cold = End Me Now

  12. This one looks pretty good and its dirt cheap: TeckNet Pro S2 Maybe not as flashy as the Roccat Kova but it should get the job done.
  13. Finally got back into Warframe. Got all the parts for Nidus!

This will make for a fun weekend.

  14. Oh dear god my hard dive sounds like a playing card stuck between the spokes of a bike wheel.

Ok so maybe it wasn't my hard drive.

Upon further inspection my GPU seems to be going nuts every time I put it under heavy strain. Still annoying as hell. Sounds like robot diarrhea.

The feeling of an upgrade! Everything's so smooth compared to how it was

  16. Are you going to use your mouse primarily for gaming or work?
  17. Sounds like the internal button for your left click is busted. Happened to me as well. Definitively should get it replaced. I use a Logitech G602. Lot of programmable buttons on the side, very comfortable especially if you have larger hands and you can also quickly adjust the sensitivity with two side buttons. Its pretty great for gaming as well as for work.
  18. I believe Tharja is the most balanced red mage there in the game currently also best body js. I can see her filling the role of an anti-Takumi mage really easily with Rauorraven+, Darting Blow 3, Vantage 3, Threaten Res 3 and Moonbow. She also gets the added bonus of being able to take out Hectors, Ninos and Julias pretty easily. But again, Reinhardt and Olwen would probably come with Dire Thunder and fuck her shit up so watch out.
  19. My neighbor hired me to walk their dog while they're gone but since their dog isn't a huge fan of the leash I've been experimenting different ways to get him to move.

So far what I've come up with is called "Chain Fetching" (patent pending). Basically I'll bait him out with a tennis ball to the edge of the driveway then chuck it as hard as I can across the street. Then he'll run over to the ball and just stare at it. Then I'll move in about halfway and throw another ball so he'll run after it. I'll pick up the previous ball and do the exact same thing until we've come full circle.

It ain't conventional by any means but it gets the job done.

  20. Ooooh an AP biology exam thats just what I wanted for my birthday!

  21. Bruh thats the front entrance very few people have the balls to walk miles across the wall to areas that are relatively less crowded and thats if they get past the sea of bodies. Since the Great Wall is extremely famous its no surprise that thousands of people will be wanting to go there. And ohhhhh boy you haven't even heard the worst about China's pollution. There is literally no sunlight in the big cities just depressing cloudiness and smog. I'm deadass serious when I tell you this but about a year ago there was some major holiday going on and by order of the national government everyone got the day off so there were no factories running. And wouldn't you know, the fucking smog cleared and everyone was freaking the fuck out like they've never seen a clear sky before in their entire life. Everyone was snapping pics of the clear sky and sharing it with their version of Twitter/Facebook (its called WeChat). Meanwhile back at the states we're all just "Psh, see that shit every goddamn day."
  22. Yeah there are some pretty cool places that haven't been completely ruined by people(yet) Most notably to me would be Tai mountain. I remember climbing this bitch when I was a kid and it was really nice although my legs were pretty much ruined for the rest of the trip. And even though you hear how nice these places are there's a good chance that they'll be packed as hell when you actually go there. Take the Great Wall for example. Expectation: Reality I have a pretty vivid memory of some really famous national park, forgot what the name was but its centered around a lake. The thing is... The lake was so polluted and so overgrown with algae that the water was fucking milky green. It was just a surreal experience like how fucked up does that water have to be to look like a pool light green paint?
  23. Noivern solely due to how much time I spent training it to evolve from Noibat which is pretty ironic because if there's a Pokemon that Reborn taught me to hate, then it would definitely be Noibat.
