Give any squishy character Fury/Life and Death and they can become a real glass cannon. I plan on working towards a new Setsuna with Brave Bow+, Moonbow, Life and Death, Threaten Spd and Vantage.

Paladins and Tricksters. Seth and Franz pretty much carried the whole team in my first FE 8 run and Anna is practically untouchable.

I really don't see any reason to keep him. He was my first 5* red unit up until I got Lucina and most other red units outclass him pretty hard, unfortunately.

Male Robin gets Blarraven by default. Setsuna has Bowbreaker and Roy can get all 3 upgrades to Triangle Adept at 4*

I Love to Eat Takos: Male Robin build specifically designed to dookie on Takumi annnnnnd pretty much any other colorless or red unit. I guarantee you, with this build Takumi can hardly be considered a threat anymore. For this build, you'll need to inherit Threaten Res, Triangle Adept, Bowbreaker, and Moonbow. Threaten Res is pretty self-explanatory, passively decrease enemy units' resistance. Triangle Adept is the most important part of this build. Neat little trick, the +%/-% attack actually carries over to Blarraven which grants type advantage over colorless units. And if that isn't enough, Bowbreaker means guaranteed double so its basically a death sentence to bow users. To top it all off, Moonbow for even more damage. It charges pretty quick and gives you a great damage spike.

Oh whoops I forgot you need to pass Blarblade first to be able to pass Blarblade+ Hm, yeah I guess you can just transfer New Moon for now. Palla and Odin are probably the easier units to pull for New Moon + Moonbow.

I got her too, may give her Hone Attack or some other stat-modifying ability to make her a mobile healer/buffer/debuffer. Probably better than my 4* Serra. The game is pure fanservice. Hell, look at the recent voting event. The game literally became Waifu Wars in every aspect. But I must say, compared to the other two Nintendo fanservice games that came out recently (Pokemon Go and Mario Run) this game seems much more fun and easy to pick up.

Still barely does anything to normal infantry units at level 40...

Working toward my Takumi-eating Male Robin with Triangle Adept and Threaten Res. This new inherit skill system just shatters the meta.

Rolled a 3* M-Robin, a 4* Roy, a 4* Tharja, a 3* Barst, and a 3* Lissa from this new banner. More feather fodder I guess, the only unit I decided to keep was Tharja since I already have a 5* Roy. My prior roll from the Princess banner got me a 5* Lucina so I guess I'm out of luck for the next couple of rolls. On another note, I promoted Cordelia to 5* and holy shit she's awesome. I've had her sweep entire teams on level with just her (and Olivia) in a single turn. Thats Gale Force for you. Can't wait for that new inherit skill mechanic so I can swap out Triangle Adept for something else.

I'd need to see more gameplay of it before I can make a decision. Hell I'd even wait until after its release to see if I should get it. I'm strictly anti-pre-order nowadays after Destiny and Metal Gear Solid 5.

My first FE game was FE 8 which is reputed to be the easiest FE game in the entire franchise but I still really enjoyed it. After getting a 3DS of my own, I got Awakening and so far I don't regret buying it. So to answer your questions: Yes. Nothing wrong with getting an emulator to play the old games. Its good to see what the game started from. My friend pushed me to start with FE Genealogy of the Holy War but I went with FE 8. I dunno, maybe I'm just a casual pleb since he tells me Geneaolgy of the Holy war was one of the harder FE games. He showed me a couple levels of the game and HOLY SHIT THESE MAPS ARE GIGANTIC. They are easily 5-6 times the size of the average map in Awakening and Naga knows how many times the size of a FE Heroes map. Yes. If you like the series then go ahead and get those games. But see the warning at the end of this post. From the looks of it, Warriors is definitely not going to be your average FE game so don't rush into buying it. Also the Switch is expensive as fuck right now so I'd hold off on buying that thing entirely for the time being. Oh and fair warning before buying FE Awakening if that is in fact the one you want to get. DO NOT BUY FROM GAMESTOP. For whatever reason, they're only selling USED copies for 50 bucks. The price of the newer games (Fates: Birthright and Conquest) are 40 bucks each. Just buy Awakening off the Eshop for 40 bucks and don't let GameStop fuck you for your money.

Finally beat Ursula on hard difficulty after wasting like 15 potions.
Setsuna was MVP.

Instead of Linde, I used a 5* male Robin level 40 and instead of Sharena I used a 4* Setsuna level 37.
I took out the last ninja using Setsuna then had Olivia pull her out of range from that mounted knight.
Then I just had Robin tank the hits from the mounted knight while Setsuna shot the shit out of him from behind the wall.

For me, I had Setsuna take out Urusla immediately. I had he pull back and had Draug tank the Green Ax and the Ninjas. Setsuna would pop out and do damage to the enemy units, and would back out with Olivia. Seliph was used as a source of health for Setsuna, as she could switch HP with him when she got low. In the end, everyone but Draug had only one health when he killed the last Ninja.
It was painful with an under leveled team.

Lol I've played with Maelstrom's Kagero a couple of times in the new gauntlet and she's pretty nice. New inherit skill feature is coming in about a week, can't wait to hear more about what this does.

Man I really wish I got to at least try that game out. The newest Metal Gear Online was pretty disappointing for me.

Going off hours-played, I have to go with Warframe. My overall favorite gaming franchise is probably Pokemon.

My laptop used to run Warframe fairly well but as the game continues to improve graphically, its starting to bring out the age in my device. That's why I haven't been playing for a while but I keep in touch with the new game features. Banshee Prime is releasing tomorrow and her overall stats are a major improvement over her vanilla version.
