  1. No, I still follow the game properly. I only turned on wall hacks whenever the system bugs out to see if I can try to find a way to force the trigger but I'll save before hand then find a way to reach whatever worked after a soft reset edit* downloaded non modded version of the game. the script still doesn't activate.
  2. Submitted this to the site but theres been a number of times I walk into a scripted event and all the characters are there but nothing happens. Before just reloading would make the script go off but this time in Alamissa Urban nothing is happening and I'm just stuck looking at still sprites. I've got the debug mod in the game so idk if thats causing the errors or not.
  3. still not triggering for me. ive had a few events just not go off, still stuck here, if anyone has the fix please post
  4. I recently lost my mother to cancer. It was tough. Made work, life and even writing difficult. She said to me shortly before she left that when she lost her mother she cried every day but one day she realized that she just stopped crying. She never forgot her or anything. Just stopped crying. Dealing with cancer is hard and I don't know if there is a "right" way but I hope you find the healthiest way possible. Keeping up the good work includes maintaining your well being. That being said, I hope you do. I hope your family gets better and feels... Rejuvenated. :)
  5. Hello Dev blog. You're as beautiful as the day I thought I lost you
  6. Not a rant, genuinely a question... she is so useless a teammate that my mono fighting run has come to a hault. With 2 legendaries and debug mode I can't kill the other team before she just dies out during the puppet master gym battle. I wish their was an option to do a 6v12 because she is actively holding me back from anything resembling success.

    E19 Updater

Maybe I'm just an old man but my security system does not like the updater and wont even let me touch it let alone give it permission to be used. When it downloads my computer says no and deletes it on the spot. What do now?
  11. So I saw one of the dev posts earlier today and it mentioned how Reborn e19 will feel like playing Persona 5 R. I completed 5 and I'm replaying 5R and a thought occured. I completed 5 so I know all the things I wanted from the game in R and had all my grievances and appraisals thought out. The same can't ever be said about Reborn. Reborn will be complete as of e19. So my question to the devs mainly. What do you think Reborn would have looked like if it had somehow gotten all the way to the end/post game with what the team knew about wayyyy back when it was started. How many storybeats would be different. Would the theme gyms play as big a factor? Would Reborn of yesteryear even be what you would call a good game compared to its more polished state today? Would Gyarados still be an early mon? I'm not calling old reborn bad. Far from it, old reborn is what captured me but there's a lot from episode 9 (when I joined) that is just different from today. Just curious about what you guys think this game would look like if it had been complete so long ago.
  12. Solaris sent the invite to the player to join the reborn league to make them strong enough to stop Solaris if he lost himself to his mission
  13. I liked Apophyll, I think its a fun arc. Just it really breaks up a tense situation with like 3 other tense situations. Like the kids are potentially being tortured but you gotta get a badge. Kiki is slowly dying but is more concerned with fighting you than helping kids? Cain thought splitting up was a good idea while fighting the terrorists? A previously unseen member of meteor was ALSO tormented by the the thoughts of what they were doing and was secretly conspiring against them while helping a young girl. Its so many things going on at once that if this all played out in real time, the kids would have been moved while you were storming the castle with Amaria. Cain would have probably been killed by Meteor since there is no way they could have known you would drive a private boat to their hidden swamp base. Solaris would have detonated the camerupt without stepping foot on the mountain. (why was he gonna chill on an island he was blowing up?) The arc has so many great storylines that are all like their own arc but stuffed into one. If they all had their own time to breath and not overlap I think it would flow nicer. I don't think anyone dislikes the story. Most people don't spend too much time criticizing something they don't care about. Early game isn't really bland imo. The character writing and dialogue is pretty strong. Meteor is actually threatening and their introduction as a group that could actually deal with the protagonist is good. I wouldn't be too hard on early game decisions just because you came into your groove in the later part of the story and game development. Is late game better? Sure. Is early game bad? No. The third gym is probably one of the best in pokemon. A serious threat, a gym leader turned evil. A gas chamber that could kill the main character if they lose. A relatively hard typing combined with dealing with more evolved pokemon while your starter and other mons can't be final stage yet. Story wise and gameplay wise it just straight up works well. Is more content good? Maybe. Too much stuff and it feels like bloat and takes away focus. Too little stuff and it feels like you're missing out. But you've hooked people on for like a decade now so its safe to say you've been making a series of pretty good decisions and will likely continue to do so... as long as you don't GoT season 8 yourself lol.
  14. Years ago I started a screen play on this and the thing that bothered me about the pacing was the kids getting kidnapped then cain getting kidnapped while you race against the clock then save everyone in city then one of the kids getting sick. The flow I ended up saying made the most sense was. Kids get kidnapped, You turn on power. Rescue everyone and take kids to island to relax while you figure out how to get past boulders. Garchomp surgically removes and hands over ass. Everyone takes you through subway. Heather/Cain bounces. You and Anna rest while she gets worse. You bounce back get medicine then while everyone learns about forest you sneak back into town to go to Byxbision to get a badge and power up before getting on with magic forest and Serra questline. Kiki-Serra has like 5 badges worth of story and 6 badges worth of content. Level up should probably continue during this time just modify the need for hms to make traversal here flow better. Either way Imma love the game cause its fun and even with that relatively small mess it still works overall. Just needs a little pacing work.
  15. This is all crazy enlightening stuff. Ame learned new coding techniques. Other members learned some more behind the scenes going-ons and I learned that I would blow my brains out if I ever tried developing a video game.
  16. So if I may chime in. I've been playing Rejuv for a while. It has indeed had some balance issues with both normal and hard mode. I'll admit that after my initial playthroughs back in the day I've stuck to challenge runs just for fun. I'm doing a fighting mono and I can see some unfair things. Some items with the pokemon and field make it so that even the fastest fighting type literally can't attack. The type also works in a power or speed decision so most don't have the tankyness to survive if they have the speed and vice versa. Yes if you have a side team ready or just go train some mons (easier than ever before) then you can beat every boss no problem. I think the biggest hurdle dev wise is making it fun for everyone. The harder it is the bigger the gatekeeping. Also most people who played Reborn first are already better than 90% of the casual pokeman player now. These two games just make you much better. Buuuuut if you haven't played these games then the hard mode crowd might coerce you into trying a mode that may turn you off from the title completely. Personally I love intense mode and I feel the reward when I finally figure out something that works. In all likelihood someone will (if they haven't already) build a hardmode shortly after the next update anyway. I'm pro hard mode but if it hurts development of a game that is just worlds better than it was originally then I'll honestly take Black/white 2 difficulty if it keeps the game developing.
  17. No there's no scrappy, ring target, mold breaker, or any moves or items being used that enables me to hit ghosts. Every fighting type move I use works and it doesn't matter the field. Also some fairies take .5 grass dmg but 2x water. Some normal types take 2x from non-fighting moves. These bugs are less frequent. The one that 100% happens is ghosts taking extra damage from fighitng moves. Also ghost poison like haunter/gengar take half damage which... kinda makes sense but still doesn't.
  18. Love the mod pack and the ability to get my pure fighting team. I don't know if this is a glitch because of the pack or this version but every fighting move I use works on ghost types. This is great for my since I'm doing a mono fight run but probably not great for people using a ghost mono and finding out that HJK works on their Frosslass. Anyway just pointing it out for whomever is concerned as I go into my ghost gym battle and try not to cheese.
  19. wait wait wait wait wait. So its like Fire Emblem but with more skill...
  20. So I have no idea if this is plausible at all to build into the game but a Ditto Crest. Ditto Crest: Ability change to True Imposter True Imposter- Can change into any of the pokemon either trainer has upon switch in. (only if pokemon has been seen) I.e: If your opponent used Tyranitar but subbed it out or it fainted when switching ditto out you can choose its form to be Tyranitar or one of your other 5 pokemon. If no opponent pokemon have been seen in the battle then it can only change into one of your pokemon. I understand this is a potentially game breaking ability and I would say it can't be used against Madame X or other special 1v6 battles but otherwise would be fun.
  21. There's no need for regrets for what's been done... its already been done and regret wont help. Keep doing ya thing, take one step at a time and be proud you've come this far. The game will reach its completion.
  22. There's a tent in gearen that changes difficulty for shards. If you past grand dream city theres another tent that pops up by the train tracks outside grand dream somewhere to the left
